3161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin uses energy and does not need to be renewable. on: May 08, 2022, 09:09:08 AM
The people and organizations that claim Bitcoin mining does more harm to the atmosphere than how it helps people financially will always continue with this fight because their major purpose was the stop Bitcoin miners which will literally lead to the shutdown of Bitcoin.

We both know that the toxicity injected into the atmosphere by automobile and companies are much way bigger than the CO2 released into the air through Bitcoin mining. Besides, remember their first claim was Bitcoin being used for illicit transactions and they never suicide
It is easy to know their intention and the last time I checked the government has been battling with the issue of Ozone and CO2 before the creation of Bitcoin why put all the blame on Bitcoin.
I highly doubt that, there is absolutely no substantial proof of such thing at all. There are Greenpeace people who are just in love with the world more than any bitcoin miner, and they just want the world to be a better place. Just because they want bitcoin miners to use renewable energy doesn't mean that they need to be excused for asking such a thing, or doesn't mean they hate bitcoin neither.

Using energy is not the thing that they go against here, using badly created ones are the reason, and if you use solar or wind or something like that then there is no problem in bitcoin hence they can't possibly have any problems with bitcoin itself if renewable makes bitcoin ok.
3162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American University, Bentley now accepts crypto's for tuition payments. on: May 07, 2022, 10:54:09 AM
Bentley University, a private university focused on business and located in Waltham, Massachusetts, US, is now accepting cryptos for tuition payments. The university said it is committed “to leading the way in the early adoption of technologies changing the business world”.

In order to do this, the university is partnering with Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US, to accept three cryptos as payment: bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and USD Coin (USDC).According to the Pew Research Center, a non-partisan American think tank based in Washington DC, more than 41 million Americans have either invested in, traded or used cryptos. That number equates to 16% of the US adult population.  In 2021 Alex Kim, a Bentley student, set up the Bentley Blockchain Association.
These type of adoptions are the reason why bitcoin could go up a lot more. I mean I get that it may not look great right now, I know that we are dropping right now. But think about it for a second, even a huge American college is accepting bitcoin, which means that we are getting more and more legit every single day when these places keep on accepting bitcoin.

This is why I believe that we should be a bit more happy about this, yes I get that the prices dropping causes people to make it a bit more tough to be happy right now, but the drop is temporary, the adoption is permanent in most cases and we should be glad about it for sure, allows us to realize even younger kids will adopt bitcoin to be able to pay their tuition.
3163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A single trading tool is not enough on: May 07, 2022, 10:02:38 AM
whatever indicators are used if we can use them well it will generate profits. I think all of this is based on the trader's knowledge of understanding market movements. it is not uncommon for them to experience occasional losses, meaning that the signal presented is wrong, and of course a cutloss must be made, but sometimes after we cut the price the price actually goes up again. Therefore, psychological factors should not be ruled out
I would guess that if you are losing money that way, right after you sell the price goes up, then you weren't really fooled and you just weren't patient enough. I personally made many mistakes in crypto but not waiting long enough is not one of them. In fact I wait way too much instead, it goes to peak and I still end up losing profits I could have made because I didn't sell at the top.

The difference is that if you are doing something that is a bit risky and ignore all those people who told you not to do that wanted the best for you but you got out anyway. Next time, that person will wait longer than he should and learn when to sell in order to profit.
3164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Signal to Start Trading and the Signal to Close Trading on: May 07, 2022, 08:04:07 AM
Just taking look at the candlestick is just gambling, understanding the basic of trading candlestick just means you are a beginner, beginners can lose in trading like they are gambling.

You use demand and supply area? How are you determining the demand and supply area? This seems wrong to me but using the support and resistance level can be of help which is what you later meant.

I can suggest you to learn also more on overbought and oversold nmarket, you can start this with RSI and bollinga band.
I would guess that most "newbies" do not know RIS and Bollinger band, if they do know it then I would deem them not a newbie.

I believe that newbie is not a term used for people who have been here for a short period of time, it should be a term used for people who do not know much about crypto. So for me a person who has been involved in crypto for a month but learned everything they need to know is not a newbie but someone who has been around for many years and yet never learned anything proper about it should be called a newbie. That is of course how I approach it, maybe I am wrong but at the end of the day there is nothing wrong with being new and learning new things and becoming better at it.
3165  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentinian Government Ready to Take Advantage of Crypto Holder on: May 07, 2022, 07:02:52 AM
Something like this was to be expected, if you leave a fiat trail that connects you to bitcoin or altcoins and your identity was exposed at some point then sooner or later the government will come to your door and ask for what they think it belongs to them.

However they cannot deal with the P2P usage of bitcoin, if you do not leave a trail that leads back to you then they cannot possibly know that you are holding any bitcoin, so a system like this is never going to be perfect and many people will be able to avoid becoming part of such database if they want.
P2P is definitely the way to go if you want to stay anonymous fully. They will know that there is money in there but they wouldn't know where that money is going or coming from and when you do p2p to sell it back then they will not be able to follow you anymore, instead they will follow another person.

If they catch that person then that person gives your name is the only way so try to do it overseas so that you wouldn't really be known, sell to someone else in another nation and you will not be known, or try to give no information and get it in cash, that way even if the person is caught then they can't give you up since they do not know who you are.
3166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New project success on: May 07, 2022, 06:18:43 AM
The success of a project certainly has a great influence on the team working on the project, and currently there are very many new projects but only part of which we can rely on, in addition to the scamer a lot of projects that end without any final completion so that many investors experience losses, then the main factor of success of a project is the team that is always active in responding to every problem that exists.
I would say even if they fail to do what they should and fix the issues, being constantly online and telling people that they are working on it still could be a great deal. I mean think about it, we are talking about something that would be beneficial for the community because they get to talk with the creators of the project and even if the project still has some issues, that will not be an issue for a long time because they are always there.

This is why whenever I am part of any project, I ask them to hire people who will be constantly online, hire a few so that you could be 7/24 online and that way you could make a lot more updates and gain a lot more trust.
3167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs aren't just there yet on: May 07, 2022, 05:45:08 AM
Someone I knew took pictures of a random person and sell it on open sea, the crazy thing is someone actually bought the pictures, this is just stupid honestly but who wouldn't want to make money just because something looks so stupid? I am not going to wait around and keep condemning NFTs when I can make money out of them.
Actually it's not stupid because everyone always judges works of art differently through their views, so that every work of art in the form of a photo does not deserve to be called stupid, especially since the photo can also be used for promotional events.
So as long as it can still be useful, then it's not stupid but on the contrary, especially if you can make money with it.
You are right, however look at how the NFT world has been approaching the "art" side of things. As you may have seen, there are so many things that are not artsy and make no sense that went up a lot. Crypto punks, apes, all of that have absolutely no reason to be as high as it is right now.

Most probably they are just money laundering or fake pumped to be that high, otherwise it makes no sense for such an "art" to be that high. Do you really see any value in these images? I personally do not and I fear that people have overpriced them heavily and they will end up losing so much because of this, their investments will erode overtime for sure.
3168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 06, 2022, 10:41:05 PM
for now the price of bitcoin tends to go down to the price of $ 32k to $ 34k, even I think the price is still very vulnerable. currently, depending on what information will appear, the price of bitcoin seems to be falling at any time.
however, the bitcoin price previously had a low in the $37k range before rising to a high of $39k. however, after some pretty bad information, the bitcoin price dropped from $39k to a $36k price range in no time, and the potential for a drop is still there. if we look at the development of the lowest price a few days ago, the current price decline is not too far from $37k to $36k. however, if we look at the recent price increases, this decline is quite deep.
the potential for price drops could occur at any time, and currently many predict the lowest prices are $34k, $32k, and $30k. Other speculations may arise when the bitcoin price has reached the lowest prediction.
Potential for price to go down even more is a very valid concern for people who are holding coins. I am not saying that we should end up with something decent right away but I believe that all these fears about the price dropping are blocking people from understanding the potential we have right now. I mean think about it, if the price is low right now and could go down even more, why not buy it as it goes down, so that you could profit a lot when it goes up?

I have been saying this for days now, and said it before, the price drop is not a curse, it's a blessing in disguise because it gives you cheaper and discounted bitcoin that you could sell later on when it goes up, and it WILL go up, there is no risk there, we just don't know when.
3169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs new features on the market on: May 06, 2022, 10:33:22 PM
I hope what you say can come true because if there is no development it will make NFT investors bored and not make them interested anymore, NFT is still a trend that is very much talked about among cryptocurrency collections.
It seems that it will be very difficult for NFT to get better developments under current conditions because almost all projects are experiencing difficulties, as well as the market and marketing of some new products so that it will still take a long time if developers like NFT are serious about improving further development.
It's going to be harder and harder to find proper projects in the NFT space, because of the high supply these days. You have to remember that demand is not increasing that much, even dropping a bit each day, whereas the supply is getting easier and easier.

I mean you could literally spend a few thousand dollars into getting art made and then get the codes done, if something is that simple then it's going to be quite the challenge for it to keep getting the same level of interest. This is why better and bigger developments matter a lot, it will give people some understanding of what's going on and they will make some profits based on the improvements.
3170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Easiest Way For New Traders To Profit From The Crypto Market on: May 06, 2022, 09:40:48 PM
One of the easiest ways to earn into the world of crypto is the use of the buying low and selling high even though its already a repetitive thing and idea concept was given by the people well this is the most effective one, for the people who just plan to make an investment with the short term this is the most ideal thing to make profit with the short period of time but if you want to make a huge amount of profit, of course, its good to make a long term hold but of course, it takes a lot of thing such as physical, mental, and emotional concern with the market movement.
It might be a repetitive one, but it is a real one. The reality is that crypto is something that you need to be careful about and if you are not careful then you might lose yourself in the heat of trading. This means that if the price is dropping a lot, many people are out there who think that they shouldn't invest because it is going down and crashing. Whereas the reality is that you should be investing because it is going down, that's the real reason why rich people are rich and poor are poor.

Do you know what warren buffet did during 2008 crisis and aftermath? He invested heavily, and I mean like with all the money he has, and even leveraged his cash by getting more to keep investing, because he knew that things would recover and he profited a ton thanks to it.
3171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: avoid scam telegram groups , find useful tools and channels on: May 06, 2022, 08:21:38 PM
We gathered all those groups in one place, we bought their subscriptions and invested big money but to find which groups are good and which ones are scammers.
in this time We have found many groups which are really reliable and have some influence on market from whom You can benefit and make right desicion and trades based on their outlook on market and Given Fundamental and Technical analysis on The Signal ( long or Short, or The Coin ,like GMT , APE We had recently)
That is really nice of you to make a big summary of all the telegram groups. Unfortunately scammers love telegram these days, not sure why but I constantly get strange offers on telegram. Best is to be very critical with all the free information and links to good website being offered. Even in the best telegram groups there are some users who are just trying to get free information about other users and try to take advantage of them. I stopped to listen to trading tips from telegram for some time now. It is a good place to communicate with others and get some ideas from. But I would not trust blindly again some person I don't know, lost too much money like that in the past. At least some basic research on my own before doing a new trade is mandatory.
That is mainly because it works. That is the upsetting part, if you see an "obvious" scam, that means they are doing it because it works, why do we not get "Nigerian prince" mails anymore? Because, it has been overused and not done that much anymore and they can't convince anyone again.

This is why I believe that the best case for people would be to be careful against these people and that is a scary thing to consider when all these people get fooled. I believe that if they are convincing people via telegram so easily that they are still doing it, means that people are too gullible in the crypto world and do not understand the "irreversible" part of it.
3172  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more leg down on: May 05, 2022, 09:56:00 PM

I believe that we should be profiting from the current situation because everyone is confused, and with DCA while going down, we could accumulate as much as we need to and whenever it goes up we could start selling little by little as soon as it hits the profit range and get ready for another fall.

Everyone also wants to profit from the leg down but it is not easy, it is still a risk looking like you are going to be trapped in there. Accumulation is what we desire but no certain way to get that to happen, now hodling the bear looks confusing like you don't know if the price keep crashing to down or if it is going for rise up soon.
I get, not many people believes that it will not recover quickly, but does anyone really believe that it will never recover? I do not think that anyone believes that at all. Which is a proof enough that it is not really doing any risk for you to just accumulate while it is going down. Should have bought it when itis 39k, and the more at 37k now, and if it goes to 35k buy more there, and keep buying it at all times.

We all know that it will be 40k+ it is not really a big risk, I am not saying that it is zero risks involved, but it is quite low risk and maybe this month or maybe next year however EVENTUALLY it will be 40k and we all know that.
3173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 05, 2022, 09:43:19 PM
It's more than 50% from the last all time high and it's more than a good catch from a sideways movements market. The DXY chart doesn't look good I guess after reaching the 20 year high, and the Fed just ruled out a bigger rate hike and Bitcoin goes on ahead even the FOMC meeting hasn't ended yet. Not to be celebrated but I think it's a looming point for good thing to come in crypto.
Remember last September? The price bottomed at slightly under 30k, it wasn't too low, I guess something around like 29.8k or something, and then during October it reached 68k and broke the ATH record.

So, never really feel like you are hopeless, it should never be that way for any of us. I believe that we should be trusting the situation a lot more and even if we are at a low level, we should be focusing a bit more on what the future could bring and that would allow us to do a lot better. This is exactly what we should be worried about in the FED results, because bitcoin shouldn't be moving like this because of rate increase, but I guess we have to learn to live with it.
3174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid to buy Bitcoin in its bearish state? on: May 05, 2022, 08:47:36 PM
Bitcoin is full of possibilities and i agree, but you should now as well and knowledgeable enough how it really works. Coz if you don't know how to determine those possibilities and you are lack of knowledge, of course there's no way you can get an opportunity from it.  And it's a big mistakes to buy in any situation of bitcoin in the market coz for sure you will end up losses always.

So much better to learn first until yiu gained enough knowledge so that you know what to do in any situation.
I agree that learning more and more about bitcoin is the key to success in the crypto world, you won't really get anything done and make any profits until you learn all you have to learn. I mean it's obvious from the get go that if you do not know what you are doing then there is a chance that someone could influence you and make you buy something that you shouldn't and convincing you would be easier than a veteran because they know what to look at whereas a newbie wouldn't.

This is why you should be studying and learning as much as possible, and be ready for all the possibilities as well. It is definitely a great way of protecting your investment.
3175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC cycles and super cycles on: May 05, 2022, 04:18:03 PM
No one is familiar with it, it is new and is a prediction as a result of the institutional buy and longterm hold. Lot of difference from previous market, which make changes in prediction, bitcoin keeps getting low on exchanges and institutions keep buying and moving from exchanges. Stable coins are more engages and they have more pairs in trade than before. We are likely not to see 80-90% price dump for bitcoin again
That is the greatest thing about the current market, we are not a small niche interest thing anymore, it is used and loved by so many, including the very wealthy at the top. The dude with the most money in the world likes something called "dogecoin", isn't that funny enough to hear? I mean that is why I do not think that we will ever go down too much because we are at a level where it’s impossible to make it go down too much.

However, super cycle is when we go up more than ATH and even double the amount, it has happened before, like the going up from 38k to 48k happened recently but it that was a big increase not a super cycle, the one that took us from 10k to 60k+ was the super one.
3176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all hacked on exchanges are real on: May 05, 2022, 03:19:44 PM
Actually I also have a strong suspicion about it, a program that was created must have been equipped with high security layers. Especially when it comes to user property rights, such as brand assets on the platform, of course the security of the platform is made as perfect as possible. While there must have been a loophole, it would have taken at least years to get to it and it wasn't easy, unless it was an insider's negligence that led them to lose their exchange assets through their own fault.
I would guess that a bad security is not out of question neither. I get that everyone thinks "if you are guarding millions of dollars then you would have a good security" but you have to remember it is not their money and they do not care about security as much as you think they do, they say they do but in reality, they don't.

There was a company in my nation that said they care about security to an insane level, like they spend 70% of all their profits to constantly increase their security and we are talking about tens of millions of dollars when we say 70% of their profits, so what kind of security would you imagine if you spent tens of millions of dollars on it? Great one right? Well, they got hacked and they are now gone, so it means they lied to us or they were screwed as well. So do not imagine it to be as truthful about it as they might be.
3177  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more leg down on: May 05, 2022, 12:33:11 PM
At this time, I tend to wait and watch the price in the market and do nothing because this situation is very risky for me if I decide to buy.
I don't want to be stuck at a high price because the current price could fall even deeper.
But it would be different if I wanted to trade today because it would allow me to analyze the situation in the market and determine when to enter the market.
Maybe I'm still looking at the state of the market and haven't decided to enter the market yet.
What you can do if you think that it will drop is getting in a bit, and if it goes up then you profit just a bit, better than not profiting at all, if it goes down then you get in a bit more, and then a bit more, keep doing that until it doesn't get any lower. Obviously it is not going to be something that lasts forever, but it will be a decent addition for sure.

I believe that we should be profiting from the current situation because everyone is confused, and with DCA while going down, we could accumulate as much as we need to and whenever it goes up we could start selling little by little as soon as it hits the profit range and get ready for another fall.
3178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin staking a thing? on: May 04, 2022, 11:08:22 PM
snip
Interesting to use this type of source showing on a bitcointalk post, definitely a sigh to see and I enjoyed it thank you. I watched the netflix one, and it was definitely a horrible job done, not because of anything I disliked about the details of it or anything, nor have I ever heard about that exchange before so it's not a personal thing.

It was just done in a way that was a very bad documentary, could have gone into more broader sense of what's going on. However I agree, losing your coins is a big possibility in crypto if you are not careful about it, tons of people lost their coins and more people are losing it every single day because they are not careful enough.
3179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 04, 2022, 10:56:18 PM
Things are looking dire at the moment which is why lots of people are predicting the fall of btc back to 35k like you or for others, 28-30k areas. Which are all valid speculations. Though, I had my buy orders set and filled at 37K+ both on spot and on leverage. Will DCA or sell depending on the movement of the market. But for now, I do not see it going further down yet since in my perspective the market is still pretty undecided. I do hope though that we only go up from here on.
I really do not believe that it will go down that much. I also hope that people do not just rely all of their investments based on what they hear around the internet. That is usually a reason to lose all of your investments and I do not think that anyone should do such a thing. I get there is a case to be made about the fact that price could go down even further down and that's understandable.

However that doesn't mean that we shouldn't just reverse that any moment now, not that it hasn't happened before. I have been here long enough to see both price will go down calls resulting with going up and price will go up calls to replied with going down. So, anything could happen and we shouldn't just believe what we read online.
3180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What might occur on the next bear market on: May 04, 2022, 08:34:00 PM
people will have two opinions about this, there are those who think the bear market is something that should not be feared anymore because cryptocurrencies are really growing well every year and the news that spread during the big bear in 2018 did not happen. There are also those who think that a good cryptocurrency every year will inevitably have bad things because it doesn't always grow well, I even prefer to support cryptocurrency to continue to grow every year as long as it can still produce.
I do agree with both of them though. I mean when we are dealing with such things, we just need to realize that bitcoin can't be always up and can't be always down. What we will have instead is the fact that crypto is something that will be going up and down and we just need to realize when it's down so we could buy some more and sell when it's at its peak.

I know it is very difficult to find the absolute bottom of it, and the highest it will reach, but if something goes down more than 30%+ then it might be time to buy some, and if it goes up more than 30% then it could be a good time to sell. It won't be bottom and peak, but it will be pretty decent level.
