2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 06, 2022, 07:29:31 PM
First, let's talk about the semi finals, The first semi final will likely to be won by Pakistan as they have a history of beating New Zealand in the semi finals of the ICC tournaments.

The second semi final should be won by India as they are a much better team among all the teams in this World cup.

If this happens then we would have a dream final between India and Pakistan and based on history, it is likely that the Pakistan team will not be able to handle the pressure against India and India will come out as a winner. This is my gut feeling but let's see how the tournament matches turn out.
Now we have just four teams remaining in this event as in start we have 16, so things are looking tense for all four because sudden entry of Pakistan has never been fruitful for few specially New Zealand because they lost nearly three or four times against Pakistan and it's again which could be painful with right now we can't predict about this result because their preparation is also good, and they have done good job in early matches with just have one defeat against England which mean here they can play good and confidence could be key for both teams here in this match.

In second semifinal England is going to face India which is also interesting encounter between these two sides after very long time now again England is position to beat any team in big match as they are also looking for their first World Cup trophy in this format and the preparation is also good which helps them for having this spot.
2342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana going Big??? on: November 06, 2022, 06:19:51 AM
This sounds like good news for solana but I wonder how powerful solana will be when constant outages and it's virtually impossible to fix the problem. Solana used to be rated as a potential project but it clearly fell short of expectations and now it is facing stiff competition as new projects are developing like aptos and sui. For me the future of solana is becoming murky and has no future.
And the hacks as well?

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4546458-solana-one-hack-too-many

So this is a good news, but not sure if investors are going to sway and pour their money again. I wouldn't say though that the future is murky and has no future. But it seems the hype has died down already and investors maybe are looking for new projects.

So let's see if this news will be a good push for the price long term.
So, this new update doesn't totally solve the past issue solana experienced? Ouch. I almost comment positive words if not because of your post guys. Guess it's too early to celebrate yet until further fixes are done by the team and upon a long time of observation if solana is now running well without a hiccups.

For now, let us still be cautious and won't be carried away by the hype. True investors of solana might stay because solana is still showing signs of life and I think some will push their support even at the very end and will just accept if the result is a loss while fake investors and hype seekers will only come and go depending on how the news go.
2343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie trading believe on: November 05, 2022, 11:23:30 AM
 - Any person who thinks that getting into cryptocurrency is an opportunity and that you can make money every day is possible, but you must have enough knowledge or idea about cryptocurrency because you can't make money here without knowing anything. That's why beginners who enter here, should first learn or find out what cryptocurrency is, it's not allowed here if you don't understand the world of crypto.

That's why most people always say "Do your own research" and "Buy what you can afford to lose" So that you have no one to blame but yourself.
True, here anything can happen, but we must have knowledge before actually becoming an investor. Knowledge is an important key that we must master about this cryptocurrency, otherwise the possibility of losing money is very high. If you want to invest here, don't be in a hurry, it's better to be late than to feel a loss because of your own carelessness. Now it's easier to learn what's in this cryptocurrency space as long as we're not lazy to find out something new and learn it.
Unfortunately, in this day and age there are less and less people who are caring about the "knowledge" side of things. The new generation show us (people who are over 30) study and have knowledge and basically get ourselves ready for the world like crazy but still got screwed because wealthy people of the world abused our knowledge and used to make themselves richer while we stayed poor.

So for the new generations like Z, knowledge is not the key, it's "happiness", if we are going to be abused and poor and not live a great life, then why spend 8 hours a day working a job we hate? Just do what you like and be poor anyway, at least you would be poor doing something you love.
2344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Strategies for Trading. on: November 05, 2022, 09:16:03 AM
Being calm and not panic when it’s going down, and buying more with the saved stablecoins you have. I know that everyone will talk about macd, weekly ma, and bollinger and all that. But leaving emotions aside and buying as much as you can at every turn is the only path.

Because in the long run it goes up, which means that we are going to keep seeing it go higher and then buying right now means it’s a good decision. Doesn't matter if it goes down, doesn't matter if it’s staying still, doesn't matter if it has been like this for a day or a week or a month or a year. Just buy more, leave emotions aside, and then buy some more. This will be the key to making a big profit.
This is such a correct way of approaching things. Many people think that the solution is technical and they are forgetting that it’s mostly about emotions. Technical part of it could help you with futures margin, quick trades and al if you are doing rapid trading, but if you are a good investor then the trading strategies that you do should be based on less and less emotions, and you should not be in panic mode when you are wrong.

Sometimes we are wrong, all humans could be wrong at times, Warren Buffet made a profit by investing and even he has down years, and plenty of them as well. So, it should not come as a shock that sometimes we could be wrong too.
2345  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: November 05, 2022, 08:05:50 AM
I have a private house and an apartment. In the apartment, all problems with gas, water, heating, sewerage are eliminated by the communal organization.
In a private house, solve all the problems yourself or hire specialists. If you cannot do at least minor repairs yourself, then home maintenance will be expensive for you.
Why do I prefer an apartment? It is cheaper and in the place I need with good infrastructure more offers. A private house is located outside the city in a good green place, as a place to relax.
You have a point, and also, you are in the middle of the city with all are accessible, but with regards to the problems in your apartments is that if the communal organization takes time to send tradespeople to fix the issues, this is the most common issues, but still, overall apartment is my preferred too if only you have enough money to own it and also I think it is not that spacious, unlike the private house.

I dreamed of having apartments, but the cost here in our country is costly, unlike private houses in provinces (green places with mountains and a lot of trees). Because there is a lot of demand for it, I buy a lot and build a house on it as it is way cheaper.
The trouble of "fixing the problems in the house" is a problem of first world, because in places like where I live, those things are cheap because man hour spent on things is cheap, labour is cheap, you pay someone 10 bucks to solve it and it's done. Private houses are more expensive though because land is expensive, meaning if you could get apartment instead it would be cheaper, it's smaller to live in some 800 square foot place instead of 3000, but it would be cheaper too and people can only afford that.

Worst is when you get a place like that both outside of the city and still small because you can only afford that, which is where I live, it’s both far away from everywhere, middle of nowhere, but it’s also a tiny place, with 31 other people in the same apartment, we each have our own houses in it of course, but it's 600 square foot, so very small.
2346  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking For good signals channels on: November 05, 2022, 07:04:21 AM
It was hard to get any of these signals from the forum but you can find a lot of recommendations online. Might that was you need.
If you understand why people here are not suggesting/recommending and that is because they don't want you to fall into the wrong signal groups that are flooder already in the market. But, you are making an urge to see it, hope you will get one and make a profit, but never turn as back talking and regretting why you do this.
That is a big big risk. I mean if they are searching online for a signal group then they could face something that could be good, or they could face something that is a scammer and they may not know how it is.

Since bitcointalk is a fair place, people could share their signal groups here and if they really trust themselves they would share some examples beforehand, and if they are good then people would join, and after people join then customers who joined could come here and could vouch for it or not. This is why bitcointalk is so important, if there are a lot of legendary accounts saying a group is good, there is a high chance it's actually good.
2347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or bear November? on: November 05, 2022, 06:36:00 AM

But let us continue our monthly fun. Would the price of bitcoin increase or decrease in November?
I have a feeling that the market will be bearish again this november before finally made its way  high for the Bull market  (or better call semi Bull because there are no assurance that there will big increase)

but we cannot assure what will come instead we will only speculate to what can bring our investments as we are all having our funds on hold till time being.
I do not think that it will be bearish, I think it will be quite stable. At the very worst case it could drop to like 19k, and that’s not really bearish because we are used to it already, and at the very best case we are going to see it do like 24k or so and that would be great.

It doesn't mean that we are going to end up with something awesome or something terrible because it hasn't done that in a while and I do not think that it will do that for a while longer. The best thing to do right now is to get as much as you can and wait, in 2023 it could actually make some moves and that would be great for a of us. I am sure that we could wait that long if we are careful with our money.
2348  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC, more closer bullish days ahead. on: November 04, 2022, 08:55:22 PM
We have been staying at very low levels for a long time, so the best guess we can say is that the worst has happened and that the next will be much better, or at least we will see more corrections in the near term.
The market has reached a state of equilibrium where everyone is satisfied with a price in the range of 18k to 23k, and therefore, in the normal situation, it is difficult to break these levels.
We already had a lot of lows so far, that means we are going to probably do a lot better in the future. People need to realize that these big huge moves are like time bombs and they happen out of nowhere suddenly. Like when we were about 7k to 10k in 2020 and by the end it was 30k and a few months later it was 60k.

Same could be said about the crash, we didn't crash all the way from bottom 3.4k to 68k and then suddenly we crashed back to 20k as well. So that means we could have a huge unexpected big increase again, and it will definitely happen but we do not know when, the more time passes the closer we are getting there.
2349  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pump isn't coming sooner on: November 04, 2022, 06:28:31 PM
The main thing is persistence and determination to keep up with the market even when days are bad and of course when days are good. There are people who stop having that determination and they stop investing or hoping to invest.

The new investors who are coming in with low quality investments often get trapped in the cycle of bull and bear not knowing how to use these times to their advantage.

There lies the difference with big investors who are willing to take their time and keep putting in money at the proper price and time.
Big investors have the money to invest whenever they want to, that’s their power. I mean normally many people here live with the money they have, and do not have much to invest aside because they need all their money to survive, our salaries are not enough to live amazingly, it's good enough to survive most of the time but it’s not like we are rich people.

However, rich people could spend 1 million dollars per month to live an amazing life, and could still have some money aside, they could have hundreds of millions, even billions of dollars. That is why they do not care when they are investing, they could buy 50 million dollars worth of bitcoin and put it aside for 20 years and never have to look at it again because they won't need that money anyway.
2350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do? on: November 04, 2022, 05:41:52 PM
I had invested in this project in the previous bull run but exited after a short-term profit.

Right now I think the big players who were supporting this project ( like Almeda research ) are now supporting other layer 1 projects. Like aptos and sui. Many developers are currently giving priority to these two layer 1 blockchains instead of solana. Hence I think it's time to consider other altcoins
I am not entirely sure if that means it will go higher though. I mean I get that there could be some investors, and even whales who are taking interest in these things but that doesn't mean that it will be going up the way you think it will. Maybe it will go up, but not as much as Solana for example? I do not like solana to be fair, I hope that one doesn't do so well, but like I said there are other coins which may have a better way of going up and that’s why I wouldn't put my trust on these just yet.

Just because there are some whales promoting a coin doesn't make that coin any more likely to go up and stay there, there is a good possibility that it may never go up.
2351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which play to earn and Metaverse project do you think will dominate in future on: November 04, 2022, 04:14:03 PM
Surviving in a bear market does not mean that the coin will recover and grow in the future. There will be a lot of coins that will survive this bear season but how much will recover, that is the question we need to know if we invest now. For me, apart from bitcoin and ethereum, investing in any project from now on is very risky, the return is not high but the risk is high.

About the metaverse, many say its hype is over but there are also many who believe it is just getting started and could be the next trend. These are all speculations, so it is impossible to say that the projects you mentioned will be profitable, let alone x100 here.
I always add BNB to it, and I do have 10% saved aside for all the rest, but 90% goes to btc, eth, bnb trio for me as well. Because, like you said there will be plenty of coins that will "recover" and not go up as much as the others.

I always give XRP example for this, in 2020 to 2021 bull period XRP went up, just like everything else went up, but while almost all other coins broke over their 2018 high and reached a new all time high, which was nearly x5 more than what their previous ATH was, XRP failed to do that and the ATH still stays as the 2018 one. That means even though XRP went up, it didn't go up as much as other ones. So, these top three ones will go up, and we can be sure of that.
2352  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this not shilling but information sharing? on: November 03, 2022, 08:50:50 PM
Is it possible that all those crypto influencers we know and hear stuffs about could face market manipulation charges under new regulation law that's coming? ...

Is there popular word ' Not a Financial Advice' not enough to safe them from what's coming?

Since they warned people about doing their own research too, isn't this enough to break them free?
I hope it doesn't. Getting paid by tokens and then promoting them using your follower base was always a horrible method. Kim Kardashian actually got fined for that, but not because of doing it, but because not sharing she got paid to do it. I believe that it should not be allowed to begin with let alone not saying you got paid only.

These people gets paid a ton of money, and then people who trust these people end up buying some shitcoin and lose all their money, the project creators who paid the influencers make their money back from the investors, in this math the only losers are the investors. This is why I do not think that it would be fair to let influencers and celebs keep promoting projects.
2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: November 03, 2022, 06:55:11 PM
The controversy of Pakistan hosting the Asia Cup 2023 continued as India said it won't be participating in the tournament. Jay Shah clearly mentioned it was the government to give permission whether India needs to visit Pakistan or not. It is better to have a neutral venue. In this situation in a rally former Pakistan Prime Minister and cricketer got injured on gun firing. Once again India could indicate this incident which shouldn't have happened now.
In current circumstances and presence of peoples which are currently in government of India most chances this event Asia Cup is going to be ended or if they agreed then surely we have some hope for better future as all stakeholders take decision that Asia Cup will never be held in India and Pakistan and others can organize as now we have few good grounds in the UAE, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka which is good for the game and development of cricket in this region.

Pakistan and India are never going to live peacefully in near future which is not good for this region, but we have to accept this fact and looks into future because both are important countries and can play good role for the development of this game even now India is having the highest stake in last 15 years, but they are still not doing good for the game.
2354  Economy / Economics / Re: Not financial advise. Just an example. on: November 03, 2022, 05:26:22 PM
At present we get the ease of borrowing, even online loan applications are currently hundreds who are active, there are consumers who have up to 30 online loans and fail to pay so that the debt increases significantly because the interest from online loans is very high even some can reach 100% If 2 months do not pay.
I have to say it would be idiotic to get loans like that, it doesn't make sense considering the return is probably not that better. It's better if you can get a loan from a bank, which would have much much lower interest. That way you could cover all of your debt, but if you are getting as much as 100% return then I am sorry but that’s terrible.

Even something like 10% per month would be way too huge, you shouldn't accept those terms, even if you are in terrible situation just let the bank seize all you have instead of agree to pay that because you will fail to do it anyway. It’s better to just focus on how you could pay it back with earning more, instead of spending less and you will have an open door.
2355  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: November 03, 2022, 02:52:20 PM
If we guess that we can expect next market preparation  after next halving ,. Hence , we have exactly 1 year and 5 months.
Although estimates are not always accurate, I agree with what you say. I also expect the market to bounce back in 2024, or a year and a half from now. But will the Bitcoin market surpass ATH? I'm sure, Bitcoin will surpass ATH. And make a new record in the bullrun in the future.
But the topic talks about Bearish market that may happen in the coming days,  I also agreed that we may see another ATH breaking in the coming years , or at least after the Halving .
There is no doubt in most people’s minds that we are going to see another ATH, that’s how bitcoin works, we do not just reach a high level never to reach that again, we reach a new high level just so we could break it later on. These resets and the price crashes are a bit about the world economy as well, right now the world is not doing that well and the economy sucks.

When the world economy is in shambles that means there are not that many people who could invest, people do not have money to invest because they are barely surviving, each month is harder and harder, which means that there is a good possibility we will not be able to see the price going up at this moment, but whenever that’s fixed, we will go up again.
2356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why btc cannot move pow to pos on: November 03, 2022, 01:59:21 PM
This question comes, Do btc network can move to POW to POS?
I am just asking and there is a issue that electricity bill too. Energy problem is most hottest topic all now. so lets discuss this
It actually can, many people are against it so they are saying it can't, but it actually can move there. How would that work? Well, first of all we have way too much transactions in bitcoin, more than anything else, only rivalled by ETH on a good day, which means we need to figure out a way where POS would make sure that all of those transactions are covered in a timely manner, secondly we need to make sure security is tight, the whole point of miners are to make it double check and make sure it’s all good and there is no double spending or any other risky things going on, and lastly we need to make sure that everyone agrees to move to this new one, just like how we moved from legacy to segwit, that would be the key here.
2357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't Bitcoin consider a low interest rate mechanism to fight deflation? on: November 03, 2022, 08:42:20 AM
Your  proposal is what POS offers, BTC already rewarding miners and that is strong enough economic value. The best way to benefit from bitcoin and accumulate more if you're not a miner, is to buy low and sell high and repeat same with the hope you won't get caught by the market.
That’s the point, the price could drop in any investment, it is up to you to profit from it or be upset about it. If you are simply just upset because the price dropped, then you are going to do nothing and you are not going to benefit from it, crying over the price and deflation (which is none if you ask me) is not going to solve any of your problems and would just be empty whining.

However, if you buy more when the price drops that means you are going to end up with some profit and that is the way you could get out of this with less harm done to you and more profit chances when the time comes. That’s the only beneficial method during any of the bear markets that we have faced so far.
2358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management: how to factor deal frequency and duration? on: November 03, 2022, 05:06:53 AM
Is there any standard way for incorporating these into risk assessment? I've looked but haven't found anything.
If you are doing with more than 50% for your rewards side then I guess you are good to go with all your strategies. Yeah, I mean you may or may not find a prescribed methodology for risk management for cryptocurency trading but until all your current strategies that are getting you consistent profits in both short and long run, you may not waste your time on adopting a new set of risk management principles.

do not cause your winnings a setback by trying to get an assumed result through backtesting
Yeah, I would never prefer to disturb my on-going profitable strategy but at the same time for back up purposes, I would find time to have other new strategies which might be the case of OP. I mean, OP is already profitable and may look for new things for ensuring being future-proof.
2359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management: How to set a Stop Loss on: November 02, 2022, 08:54:52 PM
I think the use of stop lose is optional, the only people I always recommend to use stop lose frequently are the newbies that are just starting to trade, I believe that will help them cut their lose incase trade goes against them. I can't really remember the last time I used stop loss in a trade, I just make sure I don my analysis well then I enter a trade. Mostly whenever I enter a trade and I use stop loss, immediately my stop loss have been hit, then the coin will bounce back that's why I don't really use it again, I always make sure I monitor my trade myself and I always know when to leave a trade. But I know some people that can't trade without stop loss and I don't think it's a bad idea, we all have different pattern of trading and I always advice people to have their own pattern and don't copy what others are doing, learn to do what works for you.
I agree that stop loss is optional depending on what you are looking for in a trade. I mean normally I wouldn't really trade like that and hope that it would be profitable right away or get out quickly if not. I would either profit, or I would hold it long term, doesn't matter how much it falls because I do not invest into things that I wouldn't hold for at least 10 years, if they are gone then they are gone and I write them off, if they are just low because of bear market then they will recover in the future.

So, stop loss is not something that I care about, but I understand why newbies should use it because it would actually help them protect their investment.
2360  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin And Ethereum Strategy In 2022 on: November 02, 2022, 08:08:06 PM
There is no other effective strategy other than holding and/or DCA (dollar-cost averaging) for me when it comes to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Day trading would be another strategy, but that's not my forte as I am a long term thinker and not skilled in technical analysis or so.

My mistake back then was losing hope early on Bitcoin before the big bull run in 2020. I could have made a lot to be honest during that time, but it was stupid for me to let it all go. But ever since I came back and started DCA'ing on Bitcoin, there's no looking back now as long I have extra "not beer" money.
That was the problem for many people, since it didn't look like it was doing anything special, we all believed that it would be gone but in reality, there was a recovery coming around if we waited a bit more. I was lucky enough that I started accumulating before the bull run, and that gave me such a good chance in life to reset everything back to normal.

Of course, with this crisis again things are looking bad, the debts are growing, humanity is in trouble of its creation all over again but that doesn't mean that we can't make any profit. Just focus on the future when things will be alright again and make your investments accordingly and you should be fine.
