Chess has no luck, no hidden elements or surprise is there and everything is about balance. Poker is not balanced or known elements and probably is in the majority a luck event. However I'd probably call it 50/50 on the basis you dont have to enter a hand if you start with bad cards and knowing the difference and likelihood of success is a large part of winning overall or not. The hands are each luck really but the overall winning a tournament strategy does come down to skill and recognition of opponents so equal in both amounts. Chess is hard to make as a gambling situation or game, maybe if we used the pieces in a slot game  that could be cool tbh I agree with you, chess is not a good format for pvp games with money involved. Like you said that there is no luck involved, we won't be able to have fair games. A grand master in chess will always beat amateurs. There is no way that a beginner can win against a chess pro. Poker that is possible because of luck. Another issue is that cheating would be a big problem in chess, a good chess computer will bear 99% of the players because all information is visible on the table. |

I don't think we should close our eyes before all those issues. You are right that these are all very big issues that we can't change on our own. But closing our eyes just means that we except them and won't try to change anything in the future. It feels like defeat to me and signals to others that we are okay with it. Also with closes eyes we won't see if anything is about to change.

I don't know if this the economic theory correct explanation but I can tell you how I look at the crypto market and each individual alt coin. Every country has their own currency which is usually traded freely on the forex, there are some special cases where this is not true but this is usually because the country is actively trading on the market to influence the price. USD is the world currency number one so most other currencies are quoted in USD terms. In my opinion the exact same goes for crypto currencies. You could say that each crypto coin is like the currency of a small country. The price moves freely and is not pegged to bitcoin or Usd.

Since most of us are now working at home, you can now spend more time with your pets. With that being said, what are your pets at home? Just to share, I have 7 shih tzus at my home.  Unfortunately I live in a very a all city apartment. There is just no space for dog. With my family we always had dogs, I love them. Financial security is very important, especially in crisis times like we have right now it is more important than ever to have some savings. As we all saw the recent dump of Bitcoin, which Bitcoin dropped around $30,000 recently. I saw a very sad Reddit post, I don't know if this is true but this is very important for all the traders out there that we should always trade responsibly. It's just money everyone, we can make it all back! Never ever do something stupid that will put you at risk of your life with it. I think the biggest problem is taking out a loan just to start trading with crypto currencies. We should never trade or gamble with money which we can't afford to lose. It is also very sad that he didn't see any other way out of his problems. The biggest loss doesn't justify to take our own life. We might still be able to make up for our losses. And even if we never will be able to repay the damage we have done, we can still try to do so. It is all about remain optimistic in life. Maybe one time we get caught off guard and lose big time, then we need to be more careful in the next few month. In positive way people begin aware on their environment, to become careful and vigilant to people their meet everyday. After Covid i think economy will rise again, many business are function again and many jobs are open also with safety protocol even the covid is gone.
I think most people have a false assumption. Covid will not disappear anytime soon, we will just learn to live with it. The pandemic will keep us busy for years to come, even if many things become more normal again through vaccination. But as I understand it, many people believe that the virus will disappear shortly and that it will all be over. This is wrong! I agree that covid is likely to stay with us for the next few years, but the impact covid has on our life will change. The number of vaccinated people is rising each week, it is just a matter of time until we reach 60 or 80% of the population with the vaccine. At the moment we are seeing that economic growth forecasts for next year are very positive, which results in rising stock markets. In my opinion we have the worst of covid behind us and should focus now on rebuilding our countries. The economy took a big hit, but once everything goes back to normal we can expect a strong economy again. It is all about remaining optimistic. |

I personally have never gambled traditional or offline poker but even so, when I realized there were the best times to gamble online poker then I started limiting my time for gambling poker. Indeed, things like this are difficult to realize at first but when we get to know more about the characteristics and cards that are obtained, then at least we will get the best times to start playing and when to stop, at least so I can limit the time to bet on poker.
I have the same problem as you, if I don't limit my time for gambling each week I would spend way to much time in online casinos. There are so many great games like dice, poker, black jack or just roulette. But if I don't give me a limit each week how much time I can gamble, I would gamble every evening for hours probably. I usually try to only play 1-2 nights a week poker and another night for other casinos games. The problem when playing tournaments in poker is that we don't know how long we will survive, it could happen we get knocked out in 30 minutes, or in 3 hours. |

I don't know if Australia could be the next North Korea, as an island this could be usual measures to protect the population against a new wave of corona. Wasn't the neighbour island New Zealand doing the exact same thing already 1 year ago? The current pandemic enables the government to implement much stricter travel restrictions than before. I think that the government will try to be more strict but this is likely to go change very soon again. The big difference between NK and Australia is that they have lections. If the government doesn't follow the will of the people we will likely see a new government after the next election. |

We have been thinking and waiting for a big big dip after watching markets going constant upwards. Now is the time you should buy your favorite alts and wait for their recovery, this is not a financial advice so do your research before buying anything and stay away from futures, so many traders got rekt few minutes ago. You can wait too if you think the markets are going to present more circus before the dust settles.
I agree with you, the recent bear market is a good opportunity for us to top up our coins. Unfortunately I am a bit low on cash and can't really buy coins across the board, need to decide which coins to buy and be a bit selective. Last weekend I saw a video on youtube where are guy bought all altcoins on coinbase. He bought between 100-200 USD worth in 250 different coins. Probably a really good timing to the trade right now. Even if only 1 or 2 coins go through the roof it should make up for any potential losses. |

looking at the halvings trend, the next one will probably not have such a great impact as the ones before. There is plenty of bitcoin used just a reserve and there is little movement versus the minimal also production. To move the price beyond 100k requires a huge influx of money and even hodlers cannot hodl forever if they see that what they bough for 1000 is now worth 10 life´s of hard work and a generational wealth opportunity that will go beyond their own lives.
My guess is that wall street funds getting in bitcoin will also add further volatility, as stocks investors do not quite understand how bitcoin works in terms of price and demand.
I remember last year optimistic predictions said that we could reach 100,000 USD by the end of this year. This was before Elon Musk and China declared war on bitcoin. Somehow I still think that we could reach this target, it just might take a little longer. If we can go up to 100k after the next halving it would be awesome. If we all keep our coins and buy more instead of selling it would be awesome. |

It is one of those health protocol to wear mask, face shield. aside from frequent hand washing and observe social distancing. I think it would help to avoid getting direct infected of the virus, although there are many kinds of face-mask and I think its your own choice what to choose and to check yourself from time to time make sure your getting enough breath as well and not being suffocated.
Unfortunately I don't see anyway around the face masks at moment. Even fully vaccinated people need to drill wear a mask when going shopping. As long as only a fraction of the population is vaccinated I think that the rules will stay. In the past I saw some offers for free masks but that stopped over the time. I tend to use older masks again after keeping them dry for 7 days. But eventually we have to buy new masks again, especially if only medical masks are allowed. |

My government did not want to quarantine the country.
People wear masks, but most don't. Yes, and now it's hot, the masks only interfere. I think the virus will not go away, it will be like the flu.

It's the second summer now with covid. Last year they said that during summer when people are outside that the virus shouldn't be spreading. I would advise against it. To make money in betting you need to have some to bet with first, but there are risks involved, you could lose your money if you are not so experienced with it. In my opinion we should only bet money that we don't need. And since you are going on a trip with your class you need the money. Winning is not guaranteed. |

Man, how many times did they postpone that movie. It is so sad - I am waiting for ever to watch the movie. Daniel Craig was a great Bond, enjoyed every film with him. Understand that some people find it is too much action with him and the gentlemen aspect is being a bit lost with him, but still great movies. No idea what is going to happen afterwards. I am afraid that the next Bond is really going to be a woman. It would make sense to make a spin off with a female lead, but taking over the whole franchise? Need to wait for the trailer but I is probably not a movie to watch in cinema and just at home. |

It makes sense, I have gambled on offline casinos and this is very common, people believe that if they play long enough in a slot machine the slot machine is going to get “hot” and give them their money back, in fact this is so common there are other gamblers that are always looking at the slot machines and see if there is someone that has been playing on the same slot machine for a long time and as soon as that person leaves the slot machine they begin playing on the same one taking their place.
I saw in Las Vegas two guys fight over one special slot machine, apparently one guy was gambling on the machine for hours and just went away for like 5 minutes and when he came back someone took exactly this slot machine, out of probably 50 open machines. It was crazy to watch how people are so focused on one single machine. Not fully sure about why it was the case, but I think In an documentary about japanese casinos I also saw that people stand up very early in the morning to be the first person in the casinos just for one special place. There are two possibilities, either they won a lot of money on that machine in the past and think that it brings them luck, or there is a jackpot which is being paid out after a while, so the more you play the higher the chance to get the jackpot. |

I am not sure if 4 years are correct, but it might be. I noticed that financial crisis tend to happen in 10years intervals. But the finance market is much more regulated. For bitcoins and other cryptos it should probably occur more often. One important thing is also the bitcoin having process happens every 4 years. So maybe in the year of having we see higher prices which will then drop afterwards in the next years. But one good thing is that the long term trend is upwards.

Unfortunately I am not the best trader, I always sell to early or too late and I am also a realist, that is why I will never be a millionaire probably. Not in 2021 and not in 10 years. For me to become a millionaire I would need BTC to rise insanely high. The only real chance I see is to win big in gambling. But even with gambling I am not the best, I tend to win from time to time but only in smaller amounts. The best chance to become a millionaire with cryptos would be to take part in crypto lotteries. |
