321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your worst nightmare in a casino? on: March 21, 2024, 10:07:24 PM
Well, first, what is the reason for them to cease your profit? I don't think they will just cease your profit without a reason; you didn't include that in your statement, OP. How will we know if this kind of movement by the casino owner is truly violating their own rules, or if they just see something that would cause them to cease your profit from your jackpot win? But if this is really done by the casino just because you have won a huge profit, then that casino should be reported, or that casino doesn't deserve any more customers. If this happens to me even though I comply with their rules and regulations, then I may be shocked and will take that matter to the authority'. The thing is, if what happened to you is being done by different casinos all over the world or even online gambling, then I don't think I will patronise gambling anymore.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How possible is it to win lottery 14 times using mathematics calculations on: March 21, 2024, 09:49:00 PM

Navigating through articles online got me attracted to a catchy caption yet disturbing (the link posted below).
I am  a stern believer that gambling. Which I believe that lottery is, is purely a game of luck rather than skills or expertise.
How this managed to happen repeatedly for 14 times means it's not just luck, something else must have happened.

https://www.unilad.com/news/mathematician-won-lottery-14-times-317063-20231230

Leave your opinion if you think it's 100% luck to be  winner or there is a particular skill needed.
That cannot happen solely by luck as I believe it is close to be impossible for anyone to be that lucky, what most likely happened is that they found a weakness on some of those lotteries and the way they produced the random numbers was not random enough and it had patterns, so that person and his team discovered those patterns and they bet on every single one of them and they made money this way, not an easy way to make money but it is possible if you have the data and the knowledge to dig into it.
Possibly, every system or application has its weakness or vulnerability, and if the article is true that it won more than once, then I don't think it is by luck. That person may be doing something, but of course they can't question him unless they provide proof that he is cheating, but if he manages to do this, what more other people will do? But this news or article is not always appearing, meaning even now there's still no individual winning in the lottery more than once. Imagine winning in the lottery is like punching the moon—nearly impossible. What more winning consecutively? So either they are doing something magic or what we couldn't know unless we could have their statement, but I doubt they will reveal their secret. Anyway,  if the article becomes more viral, I'm sure there will be an investigation regarding that, but from the looks of it, authority doesn't care.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proven many times holders won't regret on: March 21, 2024, 01:10:58 PM
As people say that patience always pays off, those who thought that Bitcoin would never go up the way it went down may now see that Bitcoin has started its bull rally.  Hence the holders win most of the time
It can't be helped there are many people at first who want bitcoin to fall down or they are soung things in order to tarnish the image of bitcoin, even now that bitcoin already set its another ATH and also showing a very good movement in the market there are atill people who deny bitcoin and saying bad stuff about it, but the thing is no one who proves their claims that bitcoin is bad or not a good investment, and I don't think there are not enough proof about bitcoin being the most powerful crypto currency out there and the fact that bitcoin bull run is yet to come imagine the heights that bitcoin might reach in ita actual bull run and people who deny bitcoin will only regret that they didn't believe and choose bitcoin as an investment, so before its very too late you still has the chance of investing on it.
324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: March 21, 2024, 12:07:02 PM
Hello, I'm a new trader. I started a month ago. I deposited $100, and now I've lost $40. Any advice for me? I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot. I started not losing as much. Sometimes I even earn. But even though, I feel so lost. Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up. I'm sorry for my bad English; it's not my first language.
Advice? Start with a demo account first!!! Why did you go live trading immediately? As you've said, you are new to trading, and a month ago, so why did you rush to do trade immediately? Before it's too late, I advised you to keep the remaining capital you have and keep it and focus on learning more or gathering information about trading. The import thing is that if you want to execute an analysis or trade you think you will win, then practice first ina demo account; you need first the necessary preparation for the actual trade. What if you keep on livea demo account; you need first the necessary preparation for the actual trade. What if you keep on livea demo account; you need first the necessary preparation for the actual trade. What if you keep on live trading and one day you lose all your capital? Then you will quit and be discouraged? Think first before you desire to earn money in trading because trading is not for anyone who one day wants to trade to earn money. Trading is a very complex and serious thing, so you need to invest in knowledge and experience first.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feelings on losing the match and the bet on: March 21, 2024, 06:58:29 AM
Do you feel sad when your favorite team loses a match and the bet (if you had placed a bet on that match)?

It is part of every sport where a team loses and a team wins the match. A team is happy and a team is sad, not only in cricket but in other sports too like basketball, volleyball and the last best sport Football.

Also, a match isn't considered a loss but if that match is a final, semi final or such a big match for example between two rivalry teams then it will be like this, but at the same time for us, even if the match isn't important in the context of the series but we place the bet and lose it, it's our lost booked and there are no second thoughts about it.

When your team wins you have happiness. Everything goes wrong including your mood and emotions if the team on which we place the bet loses the match unexpectedly.
Of course, you not only witness your team losing to the other team, but you also lose money from that bet. But the thing is, it's not always happening to me. I have a favourite team in the NBA, and because I'm a fan of that team, I always watch their matches. The catch is that I also do sports betting, mainly basketball, but I don't always bet on my favourite team because if I notice or analyse that my favourite team will lose, then I would rather bet on the opposing team. I don't believe in loyalty bets because I'm more cautious,  especially in betting. as it involves money, but of course, no matter what, that is the team I root for, but in betting, it is a different story. I will not bet on a team that I know will lose. What's the point of betting, right? If you know, you will only lose.
326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: getting past break even on: March 20, 2024, 10:31:49 PM
Lets make it simple, don't try to achieve 50% winning rate in trade especially if you are new in trading or has only a few years of experience because as we know it is very hard to achive that percentage of win in trading and if you keep on chasing that goal and trying so many things in order to achive it, you may stumble at some point and don't know what to do aymore, it is not bad to do experimental trades because you are exploring different ways in order to have a profitable trade, but if you keep on trying different strategy and indicators just because the previous you have used is not effective then it might be bad, because all strategy and indicators have their own different ways in engaging in the market and based on what you are currently using from other indicators and strategy, it has its different way of approach in the market, I suggest choose only a few strategy and master it in order to have more percentage of winning in your trades.
327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Time to Buy More BTC? on: March 20, 2024, 09:52:18 PM
The thing is we can't predict accurately if this is the best time to buy bitcoin or not but if you can take the rest then I'd say because of the recent dip of bitcoin, we are not sure if it keeps on dropping and it is a good opportunity to buy, maybe its better to hold bitcoin by doing DCA so you could open or buy bitcoin at different low price via DCA wirh that you can minimize youre lose or you could maximize the potential profit if the bitciin will increase, bitcoin halving is nearing im less than 30 days so we are still mot sure of what will be the movememt of bitcoin, One things for sure is that we believe that bitcoin will become more on bullish in the next few months or the actual bull run may come. But, of course, your decision will still be yours. If you are ready for the risk and also waiting for the possible result, then I guess you might want to consider buying bitcoin right now.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake it all put of over confidence in your club on: March 20, 2024, 11:41:23 AM
... shocking to me he went on and staked 5k on man United win to qualify which was about 7 odds at that time, and yeah it turned out right for him. Can any one do this or was it a foolish move?

There's nothing wrong with that as long as he is comfortable with the outcome and his loss did an analysis and he is not betting out of blind loyalty.
In my case I would not bet a huge amount of money out of pure loyalty, I prefer to lose making an effort on my analysis at least I put an effort and that effort will convert to experience in analysis rather than blind loyalty, there should be a line dividing loyalty and betting the right way.

Exactly, there's nothing wrong with staking a huge amount in betting as long as you are sure or you have confidence in your decision or betting, because staking a very huge amount of money in one bet or stake is unavoidable and it is sometimes unavoidable, but if you will let your loyalty take over then expect that you might stumble a big loss, that's why I don't believe in loyalty bet, wherein you will bet in your favourite team even you know that they have a least chances of winning against their opponent, I have a team that I fandom in NBA, but I don't always bet on them especially if it is clear that they are disadvantage against the other team, yes money is money, so why would I bet if I know I will lose right? So yeah, I'm willing to bet a huge amount as long as I know that the team I will stake on has a greater chance of winning.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you avoid some games because of racism? on: March 20, 2024, 08:28:25 AM
Especially on sports betting we see some racism happening and this happened in most of the league that are popular of which so many persons bet on. It bothers me to ask, that imagine you placed a bet and somehow you have 80% assurance that it would come out successful. And on the process of waiting for the game to end there was some racism manipulation in the game which made you lost the game. It could be football or other sports cause its mostly found in sports.

Next time would you choose to not bet on a particular game because you feel the members of the VAR, or the referee are racist, and you are sure that there would be some manipulation?

Can you show us an example of "racist manipulation" done by the referees(or VAR members) in a game? I don't know about such cases of "racist manipulation". Do you mean that some football player was shown red card by the referee, just because he is black and that caused his team to lose the game? What if the football player deserved to get a red card, when thought he's black? If you really believe that such racist manipulations are a thing, maybe you should bet on other sports, where racism isn't such a big problem.
The thing is, the OP didn't clarify what he meant by "racism" in sports betting because we need an example and, of course, solid proof that tackles racism in sports betting. I think maybe the referee? or the sports authority being biassed towardss the other team as they are being racist towards the opposing team maybe based on their nationality or appearance, but actual news or speculation about racism in sports betting there's no such thing as that, I guess, until we are given an example.

But we are not ignorant not to know that such anomalies or cheating are happening in sports, so of course it could affect you if you are doing sports betting, especially in big leagues like the NBA or football. Anything could be easily manipulated by those organisers or influential. I'm a solid fan of the NBA, and when I know that there's something in the match, I will not make any bets based on the current basketball game.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 20, 2024, 07:09:32 AM

It's the advertising that is the problem. The platform can't just screen whoever can watch the gambling content whether kids of 20 years old or up, they all can watch these streamers. These should have been controlled and I guess parents have the same problem.

These kids also are vulnerable. When kids are not exposed to bigger problems in life, a little problem of just losing money, they already want to kill themselves.
Exactly. I don't side with the streamer; it's just the fact that why would the streamer be accountable or look like he is being blamed? Yeah, he might have a fault, but not entirely. He has a fault in the sense that he is promoting gambling, but he is just doing that for him to make a living. He doesn't have control over who will be watching or what the state of those watching is in terms of their gambling activity.

Condolences to the person who died, but fact is fact, he is the one who made his life worse, and he is also the one who is in control of himself, so I don't think there should be someone to blame. This will be a regret for the family or friends of the deceased because they didn't try to help with the gambler's condition, but as I said, no one's entirely to blame.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Success is a meaningless word without failure. on: March 19, 2024, 11:51:16 PM
There are people that are good in demo accounts because they have no risk in there but if it's about the actuality, that's where they're losing more money. They have to understand that doing demo accounts are as is but if you do actual thing with real money, the game gets harder and changes your perspective all over what you've experienced. But it's also an eye opener that if it's the real thing, you have to adapt the changes that makes you see the real view of how trading and investing works.
Demo account is totally a different ball game from real account. When emotions comes to play, everything changes. It is safe to assume that demo accounts do not actually teach how to trade.
They don't really teach you how to trade because the main purpose of it is to let you experience how trading works. And when you're convinced that you can do it, that's when the urge to do some trades making you believe that you're confident going to win some of it.
But many of the first try outs are not going to be as good as what the demo account trader expects to see.
Quote
Exactly, demo accounts are meant for a trader to try out all he has learned; it's like you can do experiments or different things in order to see if your approach or skills are good enough without the fear of losing your funds as it is a demo account. Many bew traders ignore this feature and go straight to live trading, which is the result of their losses, but of courseyour approach or skills are good enough without the fear of losing your funds as it is a demo account. Many bew traders ignore this feature and go straight to live trading, which is the result of their losses, but of course you should not be too comfortable with demo trading as you might pick up a habit in a demo account and use it in a live account, which is not applicable, so balance it out. Make use of the demo trade for a while, maybe a month, you spend in the demo account for you to grasp, like you are really doing a live account. With that, you may attain a phase where you will be confident and also know what you will do in different situations
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A personal view on: March 19, 2024, 11:11:35 PM

👉 how do you view women gambling in your area: I've never seen a woman standing in any bet store before gambling, but I've been on many WhatsApp channels that you would see a lot of girls that are present asking for bookies and predictions on sports match to play at home. Do you see them as pretenders or just trying to hide their image?

It's a very interesting thread, because the truth is that in my area there are always women who go and play, but they usually go at certain hours, most of the time they go around 6-7pm and that I know surprises me because Basically They do it when they leave work or at that time they are unoccupied, but I am surprised that they go to the casino and do not last more than 1 hour, it is as if they were against the clock all the time and when they do, they always play the same games , they do not vary, at least that is the only thing I have seen in the 2e go to the physical casino where I sometimes play.

On the other hand, in those places they are free, they don't Interact with anyone and they play very punctually, I don't see them sad or making faces that cost them a lot of money, I think they are very careful with money, and that's something that shows.

Regarding what you say that there are women who are more in the whtas app or in any social network, it is something natural, the majority of us who are in this casinos are men and many of them dedicate themselves to looking for these women to try to conquer them and that is something that Sometimes they don't like it, on online platforms you rarely know which woman is, and even so I don't care, I think they have the right to play whatever they want.

Casino is a place where anyone who is above certain age allowed to gamble but the nature of gender in the wider scale have their own preferences that lead to lack of their activity on other field but as always there are always exceptions and that's how we find few women in casinos. I haven't witnessed them in public casinos but here women even own casinos too so gender doesn't decide what we can and can't do, our preference does.
It is certain that there are fewer women who play gambling, there are women who gamble, and of course there are also addicted women to gambling, but the thingare women who gamble, and of course there are also addicted women to gambling, but the thing is, compared to the men, there are just a few. We don't know why, but I guess it's because women have more priorities and interests than men, and they are more careful and treat money as their valuables that they can't afford to lose, compared to men who like to play, so they automatically get hooked on gambling games because it has an added thrill, which is staking money. And based on norms, seeing a woman who gambles is a shame or not acceptable in most countries, which is not good in the sense that the views of female and male are still not the same. Anyway, it's more good that there are fewer women who gamble because it means not all people can be addicted and waste their money on gambling.
333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the dip people!!! Could be last chance for prices this low on: March 19, 2024, 10:49:27 PM
In particular, the way the market is looking, I think that Bitcoin is going to make a correction very soon. Although I don't know how much better DIP we will get at this correction. But I don't think 68k is a good dip for buy and hold, it can only apply to day trader as a good dip. In 24 hours Bitcoin was the lowest at $66670. I am hoping that Bitcoin will go back around 50k for the next correction. Because I have a strategy where I sell some amount of bitcoins I hold at 56k to buy again at 50k. But then only the price of Bitcoin is coming upwards. But I am hoping that if bitcoin comes close to around 60k then I will buy btc again even with a loss of few dollars.

Though we can't be so sure that btc will go back at 50k, and it seems far-fetched for now, better weigh your options on how to invest on this very volatile market. BTC is quite earning good vibes these days, and so a lot of users, even noncrypto users are getting their interest to hold some satoshis. But don't follow the hype, you need to follow your own instincts and assess your financial capabilities.

If you keep waiting to see bitcoin falling on its dips, you might end up missing opportunity again to buy and hold. Don’t hold your funds because you are waiting for the perfect timing to invest again, but do DCA instead and continue to accumulate bitcoin regardless of its price. We can’t gain assurance from the movement of bitcoin, it might suddenly skyrocket again or it will continue to create price decline, none of us is certain about that. That’s why buy at the current price using DCA, and don’t ride with the hype as we really don’t as to where this will lead us on.
Many of those that are relatively new to investing seem to have a problem to accept the truth that investing is inherently risky and there is no way to be completely sure of anything, so at some point they need to take a risk and invest in bitcoin, because if they were to wait for the perfect opportunity to buy it, they may not take advantage of it as they wait for the price to go even lower, they could get to scared to buy it or such a lower price may never happen, and in that case it is preferable for them to buy at a price that may not be optimal, but that will bring them high gains as long as they can hold their coins for a few months.
Exactly. Even though there is a great risk now in buying bitcoin, the reward will be worth it. We,  or the community, believe that bitcoin still doesn't reach its highest peak. I mean, when the bull run comes, we may expect that bitcoin will break the internet as it will surge upward and reach another record-breaking ATH. And now that the correction is happening, what will the watchers do? Wait for more lower? I dont think so. Even though it is risky to buy bitcoin at $60k, there is an option of DCA, meaning don't put all your buys in one position; wait for the right moment at the right price tobuys in one position; wait for the right moment at the right price tobuys in one position; wait for the right moment at the right price to buy bitcoin. For example, now that bitcoin is at $63k, you could risk some of your funds in this position, and if the dip still continues, you can still buy an asset. In that way, you will have multiple positions below the market price, and imagine if a bitcoin bull run comes, it will be a huge reward. Anyway, its your own risk, just saying that this opportunity should not be missed.
334  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 19, 2024, 10:33:28 PM
What choice do we have, right? If we don't buy the things we need or need, then how could we live?Yeah inflation is keeping on increasing and so do the products but we can't do about that we don't have any alternative on where to buy goods in cheap price, even we do it is hard to find, right now that this world is becoming more expensive its on us how will we survive how will we cope up in this messy world, so you can either go with the flow or leveled up, meaning if you will still have only one stable job and that's your only source of income then you are most likely making your living hard or tight, that's why I believe that having one stable job is not enough you can either have a side job, part time job or an investment in order to have extra income with that you can supply your needs and wants whenever you want. You don't have someone or something to rely on, so it's up to you how you will live.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About running an online casino vs an offline casino on: March 19, 2024, 10:08:15 PM
Well, to be specific, online or offline casinos have their own pros and cons. The pros of offline casinos are that if you gamble with such wealth, you have a guarantee that many more of its friends will be in your casino frequently. Also, as we all know, many people are still into physical casinos. The cons are that the expenses are greater, and of course maintaining a business is not that easy, so you will really have to be hands-on in the casino.

Meanwhile, we all know that online casino is much easier than physical casino, and that is the pros of online casino; it is more reachable by gamblers anytime or anywhere, and it will also be less costly than physical casino. The cons of online casino are that you have many competitors, meaning that we know that there's a lot of online casino right now. Your struggle is how can you market your online casino and what uniqueness you have in order for gamblers to choose your website to play on.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop adding features to Bitcoin that don't facilitate its use as electronic cash on: March 19, 2024, 09:50:52 PM
Well it can't be helped people are becoming more advanced and doing innovative things and bitcoin is not an exception, at first yes the purpose of bitcoin is for digital currency but later on people see bitcoin as more than that, they implemented bitcoin in so many different ways and use its technology which is blockchain, right now we can see how we can earn or mine bitcoin or any other crypto currency in different ways, for example in NFT or crypto games, we have so many crypto currency that can be mined using a game or either a project and bitcoin is also can be used in that, we can't avoid people innovating more ways to use bitcoij we just need to accept it, because if not then bitcoin should not be able to reach its current state, and I think its more practical that bitcoin has been created in order for more advancement innovations.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming Legal tender on: March 19, 2024, 08:36:59 AM
I have been pondering on the motion of making bitcoin a legal tender, if bitcoin becomes legal tender, it can be used in place of fait currency to purchase goods, used  for transactions, etc.

No one wants to replace the fiat currencies. Moreover no one also wants Bitcoins to be treated as a currency. Bitcoins are limited in numbers, hence many people will treat it as a digital asset only. Yes the one benefit that it can get by becoming a legal tender is that, people won’t have to do the transactions by hiding from the government in order to pay additional taxes. Only the taxation can be improved if it’s legalised.
I don't know why so many years now that there are still wanted to  ask this same question , of Bitcoin becoming legal tender and will replace fiat because talking about this is like we will be losing Gold as well from bitcoin things that is very impossible to happen(redundant because that is what I feel now)
Exactly, almost this kind of question has seen in this section or forum, talking about bitcoin becoming the only currency in the world or in a country, I don't defy bitcoin, in fact I really like bitcoin and as much as they want, I also want bitcoin to be publicly used, but the thing about replacing fiat currency or even the banking system itself will be a very huge change and will take some time before we can adjust, added with that bitcoin or crypto currency is a complex thing so it is not easily to implement in all things, maybe we can view it that it will happen, but wanting that change to happen will be very hard as we know not all people are known to crypto currency stuff and also not all people are still open to adopt such changes especially when it comes to currency what more the government right.
338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: March 19, 2024, 08:05:49 AM
1. Learning on YouTube and other PDF resources online
2. Attending conferences and watching trading podcast
3. Find a mentor, whether offline or online. You may not be close to this person but always study his trade
4. Practice always and maintain consistency
Isn't number 3 a way of paying someone or something just to learn how to trade? I think even you know someone who is experienced will not let them teach you for free, because mentoring is something that involves teaching you how to trade and showing their different techniques and knowledge in trade, and for them to build that or gain that, they allocated time, effort, and money, so it is not right for them to teach you for free and it is the right thing.

Even though there is an internet where you could learn all things just by searching, it is not guaranteed that you will succeed in trading or even make a profitable trade. Time will tell how you will do in trading, and not all will learn to trade in the same way; we all have different ways of making things. I'm sure there are traders that really learn to trade on their own and some need help from other traders, but of course the most practical way is to don't waste money by paying those scam groups or wannabe mentors online.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: March 19, 2024, 07:06:32 AM
Let's make it simple: do you see news or hear any stories that talk about people gambling and becoming wealthy just because they are earning from doing gambling? If yes, then what is greater: people who are addicted to gambling and subject to doing something bad in their lives or people who instantly become rich because of gambling? Because, in my opinion, there are more people or gamblers in the news who lost their path because of their excessive gambling. Of course, there are also news stories about the opposite, but not as great as its negative side. From my point of view, gambling is more about losing, or expecting that you will lose more than you can earn, but if you are lucky enough to win a huge amount of money, then lucky for you, you are one of the destined lucky gamblers. But yeah, over all, gambling brings misfortune for those hoping that they can earn a lot in gambling.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Player Focus Groups in Online Slot Design and Launch on: March 18, 2024, 11:40:05 PM
I don't think anyone could participate in that phase, but yeah, every website, not just casino games, but anything that has a website or application, such as games or software, has a phase where they will do beta testing, or testing phase. Most of those companies or creators have their own teams of testers to see rooms for improvements or see bugs that they need to fix before the official launch. Sometimes they also hire external testers, but of course with some credentials. Normal people cannot participate in this kind of thing unless they have connections or credentials. Even if they do testing for users or user testing, they will still hire someone with credentials and knowledge about technology, for example, IT graduates or professionals. But maybe some companies will do testing for the public, or what we called "open beta" or "open testing," but it is rare it is mostly done by big companies.
