1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When the fun stops on: September 26, 2023, 06:35:11 AM
I agree with the statement of the creator in this post, but in my opinion, the "fun" or "entertainment" part varies depending on your status in life. Everyone says it is correct that the fun will be paid for because they keep on chasing their losses. To earn money, it's all about their desire to earn and also about being so addicted to gambling that they cannot stop, even if it is not fun anymore. This situation applies to, let's say, middle-to-low status in life. But for fortunate people, gambling is just their plaything; losing money is not a problem for them as long as they enjoy themselves and have fun. In short, the fun and entertainment of gambling will change if the person aims to earn money, while for fortunate people, gambling will be just their hobby without the worry of losing money.
1322  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PhilHealth under siege: US$300,000 ransom set by Medusa ransomware group on: September 25, 2023, 02:10:36 PM
This is alarming, anong security system kaya ang meron tayo.

1323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or investment! What's your take? on: September 25, 2023, 01:13:58 AM

Should have good knowledge for both investing and trading. But trading requires more intelligence and knowledge than investing. Investing should be done for a long time, if you invest for a long time, you can expect more profit. Chances of loss on investment are less. But should not invest in altcoins, it is better to invest in bitcoins. Trading is done for a limited period of time. Traders buy when the market is down and sell when there is some profit. Investing is also risky but trading is slightly more risky. I have invested in Bitcoin. I prefer investing to trading.

Although trading requires more knowledge, technical skill, and a firm mind, you can't say that investing doesn't require knowledge. You also, and most importantly, need to think before investing about what you're investing in and whether you know what you are investing in. Are you sure that you will profit from it, etc. You have to consider many things before investing. It also requires knowledge, as you will conduct a series of analyses to determine whether that investment would be profitable. You say the loss in investment is less? I think not, wrong investment, and it will cost your money.

It's easy to say that way, but trading is too risky; it is not slightly. This is an opinion from someone who does trading. I'd say trading is a nightmare if you don't have enough knowledge, technical skill and other aspects. So trading is more risky than investing, but both have risks.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 25, 2023, 12:32:57 AM
In the first place, why would a parent show their child about gambling or you as a parent playing gambling? It only shows that you are an irresponsible parent. The effect of children seeing gambling games may vary depending on their age or cognitive capabilities. Let's say, for example, that a child is only 10 years old or younger. Their innocent mind would think that you're gambling; no, they don't even know gambling at that young age; they will think that you are just playing games, and because of that age, they have a strong curiosity to know what you are playing, and that is where it starts at a younger age that involves any kind of gambling. Here is an article discussing how children as young as 11 years old can gamble with the help of their own parents. Imagine that they tolerate their child's dangerous habit.

1325  Local / Pilipinas / Re: isang banko magooffer ng bitcoin trading sa app nila on: September 24, 2023, 02:28:50 PM
After ko mabasa yung article, yes maganda sya in a way na mas mabibigyan ng ibang way or option yung mga crypto traders and holders.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: September 24, 2023, 01:32:11 PM
In my perspective as an IT graduate, I often use chatGpt for my work for reference only meaning I don't rely on it. Chat Gpt destroying poker of other online gambling? I think nope that's not gonna happen "for now" in the future maybe. You see AI technology is getting more advanced in our times but not that advanced that it can do anything. Of course owners or developers of certain online gambling games anticipated the advancement of the technology so they will do a lot or tight security in their system to ensure that AI will not be a problem. So rest assured ChatGPT doesn't have the capabilities to be used for online gambling.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: September 24, 2023, 12:39:32 PM
In my opinion, quitting gambling depends on the person. Let's put it this way: a person who is addicted to gambling has a high rate of losses, and a person who's addicted to gambling but, let's say, has more winnings. So the first person For them, if they become addicted and experience a lot of losses, it's hard for them to quit. Because they will keep on gambling to chase their losses, hoping that they will win and recover, but in reality, it's not just you who bet and play; you should also use critical thinking, skill, and luck, which is, I believe, the main aspect of gambling for you to earn. For example, the second person that I've mentioned is the one that has a lot of winnings. I have a colleague at work who does gambling; he uses 1/4 of his salary as capital to play. But not just that, he also offers his friends and other coworkers to invest in him and has a contract that says that every month depending on your investment, you will receive a fixed amount. Why do I share this? Because you will see his confidence in gambling, why? Yeah, he maybe doesn't have 100% winnings, but he also doesn't have a high rate of losses, meaning he is a skilled one; he uses thinking, skill, and luck to do gambling to earn. And because of that he treats gambling as a side hustle. So for him, quitting gambling will depend; for him, gambling became his hobby and side hustle. But for the other person, gambling can be a nightmare, so will he or she quit gambling? We never know; it depends. There could be many circumstances and situations for an addicted gambler to quit.
1328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: does it worth to start mining now ? on: May 19, 2023, 12:53:05 PM
what do you guys think does it worth to start mining now ?
I think its still worth to mine bitcoin since you can mine if you buy some cheap materials and also have a good apartment for space of your mining.
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: May 16, 2023, 11:10:52 AM
~snip~
Of course, if he makes only $3 profit, that probably won't even cover the fees for buying and selling bitcoins, but he will still make a profit. And learning to trade from scratch with $30 will most likely result in him losing the entire $30 altogether. I can quite possible to advise him to buy bitcoins, especially in a downturn, but I personally would not dare to advise anyone to start trading, the risk is too high.

Yeah, trading is expensive, and most people will end up losing money, plus the fees are constantly there.

With $30 OP should focus on learning about Bitcoin, lightning, etc, it's a great opportunity to move Bitcoin around. At the end of the day it's the same if OP was moving millions, so better to learn with less money as mistakes would cost almost nothing.

I wouldn't focus on trading, just on learning the tools of Bitcoin.
I agree that spending $30 on bitcoin is a waste because it isn't at all lucrative. This is something I've seen when I first start investing. I consistently invest $5 to $10dollars, and I always end up losing money. When I think about it, I giggle lol.

In my opinios(as of right now), you shouldn't invest in bitcoin if you have between $30 and $50 to invest because it is essentially unprofitable and the investment is long-term. Instead, you should learn more about cryptocurrencies and how the investments work so that when you have more   money to ivest, you won't be concerned because you have knowledge that anyone can acquire.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: May 16, 2023, 10:58:56 AM
Recently, I came to read this news

https://protos.com/spanish-police-rescue-crypto-investor-kidnapped-on-holiday/

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this was that one should not talk about his crypto investments with strangers or friends as it can pose various risks. If you are active on forums like bitcointalk and involved in trades, you should not give information which can help others relate to your identity.
You don't need to trust people online since you won't know what would happen if they betray you. You can brag about your accomplishments to inspire your friends, but you should keep your real life status private so that others can't copy you.

I've had this happen to me when I posted something on social media and within ten days, someone stole my picture(earnings) in bitcoin and said that "everyone can earn this kind of money, just dm me." I exposed this man on social media and he blocked me so that my other friends will not know that he is a scammer. I learned in this kind of situation is don't share anything that is important to you, keep your data especially in bitcoin so that no one will copy you and your other friend will be safe
1331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's nice to be back here. on: May 14, 2023, 02:22:08 AM
I stopped my crypto journey way back last year because of so many losses and got busy with my school works,  it was last year in February when I lost a huge amount of my money investing in altcoin and got rugged, I was depressed that time and sad because I lost a huge amount of money which makes me stop my crypto journey and just focus on my study.

Two weeks ago I saw my friend on Facebook posting such luxury and cars he already has and I know that person is into cryptocurrency so I know that he got all those things because of cryptocurrency that inspires me now to continue my crypto journey and I will start it with this forum as I know I can have a lot of lessons and advice here.

I just realized how risky cryptocurrency is, especially for those people who have not yet have good knowledge about it, I've learned from my mistakes last year and j am now here exploring again and will be careful this time.
I know that feeling when you got rugged, it's really sad when you lose all your money in just one tick, I've experienced this and there's a lot of trauma you can't get, You will lose hope in crypto currency and everyone will down you. After months of searching again  and again I started to invest crypto again and it's doing well. Now, I have a business and also I can buy whatever I want in this crypto community. You can start again if you want to, always research to avoid rug and also you can't get scam. Goodluck!
1332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is self-meriting possible? on: May 13, 2023, 04:21:25 PM
May sound silly but has anyone tried meriting themselves on a discussion they start. I noticed that the option to merit a post is still available on a post we make, I wanted to try it out, but I do not want to default, so I decided to come ask first.

Is it possible to merit yourself?

I think you can but it's a long process since you'll be using two accounts. But if you have only one account of course you can't merit yourself. If everyone are self meriting, how this forum will grow? no one will help other newbie since you can reply to other post with no sense or what we called shitpost and instantly gain merit. If there is a chance that some devs on this forum make this possible, I will not agree because that's unfair
1333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which of this is plagiarism ? on: May 13, 2023, 04:16:15 PM
I have read about plagiarism in the forum which is a great offense here and anyone who is caught will get banned from the from. If someone wants to copy and paste here,he must provide a link to that which he has copied from.

I don't know if someone wants to use a picture on the internet without providing a link to that picture, if that user will be banned for his action or I must also provide the link to that picture which I used. Is using someone else picture without providing the link also plagiarism.

Using AI generated post, which I know that is not encouraged in this forum, what will be the penalty for such action,is this the same as plagiarism ?
I need clarification please, so that I can last long here.
Gracia.
For me, i think A.I generated is plaigarism because like chatgpt i think that a.i site is getting sources each site in google so it's illegal to use chat gpt in this forum and you will get banned by using this. You guys who using ChatGPT and thinking that you're helping, no you're not because thats not your own words and also you're not sincere helping other people so the people who uses a.i site should be ban in this forum !
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 12, 2023, 05:06:03 PM
Is better to use small money or learn risk management first before investing especially newbies.

Is this a question? If it is then I'll prefer to learn risk reward management before investing so that you will not worried if you invested dropped. If you choose small money to invest but you have lack of knowledge then you cannot get profit because you don't know what you investing. So before entering in trading, crypto make sure that you research before betting your money that can easily lose at any time.
1335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difference between long and short term investments in crypto on: May 12, 2023, 10:16:18 AM
Did you used an AI to write this ?

If I copy/paste your post here : https://gptzero.me/

I get :

That's kinda sus, I really don't like people whos posting and it comes from A.I sites like chatgpt, if they want to help here in this forum make sure that is your own words and not from others or some A.I because you're not sincere to help if you use that. I think in this forum, you will get ban if you copy pasting some word so i think he manually type that kind of word.
1336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can a beginner in the forum significantly grow? on: May 12, 2023, 10:07:43 AM
As a beginner that wants to significantly grow his knowledge about BTC in particular and cryptocurrency in general so as to be able to make meaningful contributions to the forum, which of the boards and threads am I expected to regularly visit and read about them in the forum please

1337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is buying merit parmited on: May 12, 2023, 03:42:12 AM
Honestly am new here and with my little time that i have spent in this forum i have observed, and i wanna ask the forum mate if that is posible because i saw it happening amonge the forum mate and the person that invade this platform for me,people in this forum who are connected in one way or the other are trading on their sendable merit not only the their sndable merit but orher way of trading on merit is going on in this forum,so my question is,is it good and permitted to do such on the forum,
I think it's very wrong to buy merit, we all know that we can't wait for the merit. To gain merit is not easy so the main key here is patience. Don't mind to get merit while you are posting instead, help other people and contribute so that everyone will notice you and you will gain merit if your post is good so it's really illegal to buy merit
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: May 06, 2023, 02:25:30 PM
Bitcoin is such an uncertain future currency that no one can say for sure what will happen in the future. Hundreds of predictions are constantly being made around Bitcoin. Predictions were made about this valuable currency in the past as well but some have gone down in history by selling this precious currency at a low price.

Martti Malmi sold 5050 bitcoins for $5 at a rate of just $0.00099 in 2009, setting the record for the lowest bitcoin sale in history.

Laszlo Hanycez made history by being the first person to buy a product at the lowest price in exchange for Bitcoin. He made history on May 22, 2010 by selling 10,000 Bitcoins for just $40-$45.

Our forum admin sir has sold his 160 bitcoins at a rate of only $0.003 on exchange for $0.48.

Pic collected: Source

Not only here but also in the past hundreds of Bitcoins have been traded which is amazing to see today. Those who traded Bitcoin at that time are now only regretting it and those who bought and held Bitcoin at that time, it is amazing to think how much their fortunes have changed today.

If you could travel back in time today, what would you do?

If i can travel back time maybe i can make a new timeline and i will fix myself and also i would go when the bitcoin is super low then travel to present just to sell and travel back again and again like infinite money haha. In reality, I will travel back when my mom is still alive, I will cherish my mom day after day until the time has come so I have no regrets because in present I didn't focus on my mom health so I'm regretting that time and I'm blaming my self why my mom died. Sorry for the sad story, good day to all !

1340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of losing bitcoin... on: May 06, 2023, 02:13:15 PM
I have seen and witness people involving in bitcoin, most people can not stay a moment without panicking. A colleague of mine who have Minuit bitcoin has buggy me with chats and calls to update if bitcoin will survive this years, why can't people know what you're engaging into first before diving into it and start acting like a child. Different set of people are into this bitcoin, even people don't have investment are making noise of bitcoin price collapsing.

But come to think of it many have bitcoin in B figures but you can't hear them making noise but people with $30 will not allow you to rest especially if you're responsible for introducing them. Bitcoin will rise when is due to rise, remove fear and plenty rumors.

I agree with this, if you're a investor, trader and you're panicking when the cryptocurrency or bitcoin that you buy dropped I think the crypto world is not fit for you. In any trade, you should know what will happen if you invest something and know the risk reward 'cause if you don't search about this you will panicking because of course it's money, your money.
