The link he posted has the XMR.to API in it.

I don't click their links, they have supposedly spent thousands (xmr donations) on bandwidth, as if unlimited data plans are not default nowdays... Please link to a relevant doc on xmr.to...

What does spending $ on bandwith have to do with not clicking the link?

How slow are you ? I dont want to use up their bandwith, they claim to have spent most of the donations on bandwidth usage :

The Monero blockchain alone is downloaded hundreds of times in a month, with our bandwidth usage regularly exceeding 2tb a month across the download nodes. Obviously this provision is not cheap, which is why your continued assistance to this project is greatly appreciated.

primer- I was wondering why are you always so hostile, and use such coarse language towards most posters? (others are hostile too, sure..)

You are missing one or two quotes to make a conclusion yourself..

Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=959994.msg10512430#msg10512430

Note that a new, more consistent API will be published this week together with a cleaner official documentation.

Thanks!

XMR.FROM as a natural side-kick to XMR.TO has been talked about here. Not sure as to if it's being developed, but seems like it would be a good start to creating more Monero exchange options.

Unfortunately, the domain .from doesn't exist.  Undecided Would have loved to get that.  Grin

I use XMR.to on a daily basis, if you're wondering who the 11-13xmr/day guy is - its me.
How long before you release API support ?

For a "CEO" who has "sold their stash" and is "waiting for new blood to take over" you sure do spend a lot of time here. Don't you have CEO things to do?

You may want to take a gander at this thread: https://forum.getmonero.org/3/merchants-and-marketplace/155/xmr-to-pay-any-bitcoin-address-anonymously-using-monero

How is your post related to my reply regarding xmr.to?! You seem to be after me, did I hurt your feelings ? Get lost kid, I cant wait for the day new devs take over...

Your entire argument about how "bad" we are rests on you knowing "better" because you're a "CEO".

<Alit> Had i known a donation would speed up development i would have donated

<Alit> the point is, you aint getting it back from me, i've already withdrew 30 Smiley taking money from core team feels so good Smiley

<Alit> one can tell ive been a ceo all my life Smiley

<tewinget> Alit: how many commits have you pull requested?
<Alit> none
<Alit> we cant all work on code

So you don't donate or contribute code or participate in any valuable way, instead you actively try and *take* money from the developers. But it's ok, bro, because you're a CEO, bro, and you know how to develop an open-source cryptocurrency best, bro.

Keep the bro language and irrelevant posts for the pub, your reputation is on line here (lost completely in my opinion)...

So just to recap: "big holder" that has contributed 0 because he "didn't know that would speed up development" (despite being a "CEO"), hasn't contributed a line of code, hasn't done anything of any value or note, but has a lot of complaints. A lot of them.

...and no, throwing money at a problem never helps... Tell us more about donations dev team received and how many btc you supposedly spent on bandwith.

Tell us more about your "CEO" position and how many employees you supposedly have?

How is my work related to any of this ?! Fucking joke you are.

Good work quoting most of the text out of context... What are you trying to prove anyways ?
Amateur hour...

Feeling a little off the track now Sad

1. The project seems to be stalled. Back in september fluffy said 6 weeks is the maximum time needed to get the db out. I am yet to find how to use it, im sure half of the people here are only able to use monero because of mymonero.

2. Without a usable client, the speculation thread is a joke, new people are not entering and we are buying and selling between ourselves.

3. The quality of posts has gone down a lot for dev 'smooth' He does not feel like a dev at all, constantly arguing with other coin people when it will clearly bear no fruit. Can anybody change our opinion about Monero? No, then how can we change someone else's?

Feels like this is going nowhere, its been an year and we have what? a db to put the chain off RAM? Please dont pull out that donation card on me, Satoshi, BCNext worked without donations even because they believed in themselves. Does our dev team has such confidence? Or are they doing just a task in their pass time as a hobby?

The devs owe us nothing but there is a reason they are the leaders, i dont see any passion

my two millinero

OMG, Troll Troll Troll

Yup, both nice trades. The first one was better of course (so far).
I wonder why that even bothers you? Oh that's right, because you are a miserable troll who compulsively insults and criticizes people. Got it.

I thought developers are hodlers, well I guess not. You're just trying to make a quick buck...
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - 0.8.8.6 on: April 05, 2015, 08:32:42 AM
I'm not even sure "fix" is the right word. As far as I can tell it just involves a lot of guessing. Sometimes you guess right, sometimes wrong. Using some of the methods we've already published (and will be addressed) you can improve your odds of guessing somewhat, but it still comes down to a guess, and there is no way for you or anyone else to know you got it right. It seems a lot of the guesses are terribly inaccurate too. Fluffypony said he had to run through 21 transactions to find even one they got right. Although I haven't seen the details of that test, it sounds pretty worthless to me based on that.

I see no reason to go all Chicken Little about any of it.

Lol smooth, its all going to 0 as you said.

Abandon ship...

 Grin

If he's abandoning, the ship just got a lot more pleasant at least. Bon Voyage.

Did you contact Poloniex about that issue? If it bothers you so much, why don't  you ask them what they are gonna do with the unclaimed funds?

That is not how the world works, when you catch a scammer scamming, you tell them what to do not vice versa.
I was hoping the community comes up with an unanimous decision before forwarding instructions to polo.

I woke up one day with 100$  cash in my pocket that I have no idea where it came from - Am I a scammer ?

You know very well where it came from - your friend got wasted last night and put it in your wallet instead of his.
YES YOU ARE A SCAMMER..

There is nothing we can do about it, the ethical thing would be they donate the unclaimed XMR  after a year or so to a charity or something, there is always possibility the owners would claim it back someday so they need to keep at least 20% or something.

Read the last 2 pages, 10,000+xmr can not ever be claimed because the TXs are public!

No I don't like that they are taking all that XMR, but with this coming up now, I will never mine directly to an Exchange.  This is a very young currency and there are going to be problems.  I never knew a legit reason why not to mine to an exchange until today, but I followed the advice of the Dev's and other respected members in this thread not to do it, just bad practice.  I have lost no funds having them sent to my simple wallet. My pool account holds the dust and rolls it over each payment made and I do keep an eye on it daily.

I hear all your complaints and they are valid and Poloniex should be held to account, but at the same time what have you done to help the situation out in your favor?  You really should address Poloniex directly and help out the community since this problem bothers you so much.  I've read you trash talking the devs about how they don't care but what level of responsibility have you taken on your own?  They are your funds yet you blame others to how they are managed.  Use safe practices and take some action. This is all I have left to say on this matter.

Gingerale I never set up the mining.  But I do run a  full time node and help the community that way.

You don't get it, i have not lost a single monerito to Poloniex. It bothers me because its wrong and in my opinion its a scam.
