As mentioned before, we are working on introducing more exchanges, after the initial launch with Bter.

This will ensure there is more ongoing trading for Crypti, while we move forward with Crypti business and technological development.

Please note that wallet was ready to public access since start of pre-sale, and the launch was scheduled to August 10th, which we decided to postpone to August 15th due to issue found in the PoS formula.

The current delay is pending the unfortunate events at Bter, and we use the time to advance with Crypti development.

We want Bter to monitor the launch with us and be available in case of any issues.

I'd like to remind that original launch was planned to Friday, and both we and Bter team had allocated time for that, which was interrupted by the unexpected set of events.

September is still the planned date, we will update once we past the launch stage.

Important to note that we are continuing developing Crypti, and will introduce several optimizations and improvements already once we can launch.

Just a test transaction by Bter, to verify Xapo has correctly received the funds.

Crypti pre-sale funds Xapo Vault address

Following Friday events, and in order to increase the buyers confidence, we agreed with Bter to move the pre-sale BTC funds into the Xapo insured vault.

Important note: Bter holds the key to this vault, and will release it to Crypti Foundation only after Crypti mainnet is launched, and the Crypti owners can withdraw their balances.

Bter mainnet integration update

Bter have made great progress in integrating and testing the mainnet node today. Unfortunately the lead developer had to leave to a pre-scheduled flight and had to pause the integration. The process will continue once he arrives but as such, we are unable to give an exact ETA right now. We will keep you posted with any updates as we receive them.

As we suggested before, we strongly recommend enabling the second pass phrase.
This will ensure that even if someone breaks into your account, he still will need the second pass phrase to get any funds (think of it as a pin code for lost ATM card).
The second pass phrase can be as long as needed, and naturally should be stored in a separate location than your account password (as you wouldn't store pin code with the ATM card).

Bter worked with a testnet node so far, which was based on testing genesis block.

They now received a mainnet node, with a real genesis block, and with some (minor) API corrections. They need to ensure their developed integration on testnet works fine in mainnet as well, and they also want to move all genesis XCR's to a cold wallet (to make sure the NXT scenario is not possible again).


This all takes time, and they naturally were very busy with the security matters. They told us they will be able to start working today on this, and we are waiting for this work to start.

It very depends on Bter, as they yet to start the release mainnet node integration.

We are in contact with them, and will update the community regarding the status.

Following being presented by Bter internal details, we are confident they will uphold their part of the deal, and provide us with the raised funds following the launch.

We are preparing a method to give the community peace of mind regarding these funds, and will post it's details once ready.

Due to escrow terms we will receive the funds once we have launched.

We discussed this with Bter and they willing to cooperate as much as possible to return the confidence in the community. We are preparing the groundwork for this now.

After, as Bter still the prime target to allow withdrawing of the funds.

We however will do our best to make this period as short as possible.

Same pass phrase will always map to same account number whether it's testnet or mainnet, as this how the priv/pub are keys created in Crypti.

I strongly suggest not keeping the passwords in spreadsheet (see Klee case), but an in encrypted software, such as KeePass or LastPass.

This has crossed our minds when doing a team conference yesterday, we will ask Bter for a solution.

Bter update

We got a quick update from Bter regarding timelines. They currently working on securing their systems, and expected to get back to Crypti mainnet integration on Sunday.
This means that in case they complete it within a day (as originally planned), we could launch Crypti as early as on Monday 18/8.


Bter has also provided us with their cold wallet public address, so we could verify the investor funds are intact. We have looked at the wallet located at the address, and can confirm that it contains a significant amount of BTC, which could easily cover the amount that Bter should transfer us on the launch.

Bter are currently busy integrating the new NXT client, and have not provided us with the new Bter Crypti address for the genesis block yet.
Moreover, they did not have time to work on integrating the Crypti mainnet version.

In light of the above, we elected to postpone the Crypti launch as well, and will update the community with the date, once we hear from Bter regarding the above two items.


Crypti safety

There was a possibility raised in this thread, that Crypti on Bter might have been affected by this attack as well. This however impossible, as Crypti was only supposed to be launched today night, and so far exist in genesis block form only. Due to this event, the Bter account holding these Crypti will be changed in genesis block, ensuring the attacker won't be able to access it.

You probably do should change your password on Bter ASAP, and also enable 2 factor authentication, if you still don't have it.

Also, for these withdrawing Crypti to their wallets from Bter (once possible), we strongly recommend enabling the second pass phrase for sends, as it will provide an additional layer of security.

Bter update

Due to the unfortunate events with Bter NXT account today, we were notified by them that Crypti mainnet release integration is currently delayed.
Moreover, the genesis block will have to be re-created, in order to make sure the hacker didn't receive access to Bter Crypti account as well.

We are discussing now whether we will postpone the launch, as both the absolute majority of genesis is located on Bter and without withdraws it would be useless, and rather be open for additional possible breaches. Moreover, we need to re-create the genesis block and re-test the mainnet once again.

We will update the status here later today.


I'd also would like to add, that we support Bter in this difficult hour, and we wish them to resolve this issue in the best way as soon as possible.
