321  Other / Meta / Some people that left this forum recently on: May 24, 2024, 09:26:16 AM
I read this topic Is this forum getting worse and worse?

During the mixers days on this forum, some good posters were visiting this forum daily and contributing good. Some of them are in mixers campaigns and they were collecting huge amount of money but which might still be small for them if they are living in a well developed country. Small or not small, it is still money that can help.

I said the money can help because Chipmixer was paying $300 which is $12000 in 28 days and $15600 in a year. That amount is not small in a way we can call it small. It can still be used to pay for house rent and some bills in well developed countries like the United. Mixero was paying $250 weekly. Sinbad was paying $200. It went to the point that Tumbler came and paying $250 for 25 posts weekly.

Many of this good posters are now in Exch, Bcgame and Blackjack campaign but the payment is very lower than the mixers that have been banned on this forum. Do you think that the low pay makes some reputable posters to leave the forum in the name of no freedom of speech and censoring? Or I am just wrong about it.

One thing I know is that as some people will go, some people will come.
322  Other / Meta / Re: Wouldn't it be nice for edited posts to reflect on wherever it was quoted? on: May 24, 2024, 07:02:22 AM
So here is the issue, assuming someone made a post and others dropped their comments as usual. Now I quoted comment of someone and added my contribution that is in-line with the discussion but later the person I quoted came and edited the post. By the present forum setting, my quote will still bear the previous comment meanwhile the person would have edited the post and might have even change his opinion on the subject. So wouldn't it be nice if whenever a post is edited, it reflects on wherever it was quoted? Can this be possible? If yes what impact will this have on discussions in this forum?
This will not be good at all. Anything you have quoted should not change even if the person that you quote edit his posts. Let us say someone posted something but it is wrong and you quote him and corrected him. The person accepted and edited his posts, people that read through the thread can see your correction posts and know that you are the one that corrected him as they can see the mistake that you quote. It is better the way it is.
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: May 23, 2024, 07:46:30 PM
So far as gambling is being regulated by the government and operators are paying taxes, just like any other normal businesses gambling can't be stopped or restricted because it is a form of business even though the possibility of winning is lesser but gambling is a game of choice as no one is being forced into gambling so anyone who cannot take responsibility of their gambling habits is either immature or lack the sense of belonging to know between how they can manage their gambling lifestyle and how not to get too addicted to gambling which leads to some emotional and psychological damages to human behaviour so before anyone enters into gambling they should be able to have self control and not allow the gambling to control them.
But there are some countries that their government ban gambling. You can see most Muslim countries that forbids gambling. If OP sees gambling as bad, he can just move to any of the countries that gambling is banned if possible and if people should stop gambling is what he wants. Although no country can totally be able to ban gambling but he will feel better in such countries. As for countries that accept gambling, he should not expect any ban at all because government like tax and they are generating enough money through tax from gambling.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake Poker ($1k freerolls) on: May 23, 2024, 01:14:09 PM
This is different. Stake.us and not stake.com just launched it poker game this year. And it is only available to residents in the US.
You are not getting it right or probably it is more looking confusing for me. According to the OP, he is not from the US or not accessing the poker from Stake.us. You can know that from his second post which he posted this

The poker games were available before but only for the dot US site, but on the dot com is new, from what i know it wasn't there the past week.

The OP meant that the game is new on Staked.com.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Foolhardy bets. on: May 23, 2024, 07:21:37 AM
Sometimes I do not care about the loss and use the who betting budget for that week on gambling at once which can give me 3 odd. Either I get lucky with it or not but because it is not beyond my gambling budget, it has no negative effect on my financial life. It is just a small amount of money. The time that I bet like I do not care and waste a lot of money on it has been long gone, since 2018 or before. But after that time till now I use just small amount of money on Foolhardy bets.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake Poker ($1k freerolls) on: May 23, 2024, 06:17:59 AM
I make more findings to see that Poker has been on Stage ake since last year. I am surprised that most of you people have just started to know about it this year.

You can read about it on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5453517.msg63128407#msg63128407

Read what Kakmakr posted about it on the last post of page 7:
Quote
They already have Video Poker under their Original Games and that did not ruffle my feathers at all. I would like to see P2P poker championships and also some kind of spectator side betting on those matches.

Poker can be a real money spinner, if you do it right... so they should not do some half ass attempt at doing this. The other Stake original games are getting a lot of action, because they are solid games.  Wink

I am wondering why this kind of thread is locked.
327  Other / Meta / Re: Why is this guy allowed to constantly break the rules? on: May 23, 2024, 05:55:33 AM
Particularly the unofficial rule number 13. In many cases he has been reported and posts merged but he has been warned that he should read the rules and follow them and he doesn't care:
Probably nobody is using his unlimited money generator and he later become very frustrated and turned to multi posting. He even later started to create new threads which is also annoying. The name of the site looks like scam which is enough for people to avoid it.

Your posts are being deleted because they blatantly violate forum rules.  Have you even bothered to read them?  Here's a thought, genius: read the rules before you embarrass yourself further.  Otherwise, you'll keep getting tossed in the moderation bin, clueless as to why.

Rules are meant to be broke, we got new gambling technology, shut the fuck up and move to the side moron, and watch me work. Lol.

This is enough to know a site that is legit and not legit. I do not know if the site is fake or legit though, but it is not worth using because he is not having communication skills which is very important for a new business. Scammers lack good communication skills.
328  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is the exclusive stake.com bonus promoted on some sites legit? on: May 22, 2024, 06:12:59 PM
I have gambled on the sites that stated that new registered customers will get 100% bonus. That made me deposit higher amount of money at the time and I was given the bonus on both sites. If the site you are dealing with is reputed, they will give you the bonus but know that it can has some rules before you can be able to withdraw it. The rules could made you lose the money eventually or win more.
329  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lightning network on Kucoin on: May 22, 2024, 05:53:51 PM
Other exchanges that I know that has lightning network for bitcoin payment are Binance, OKX, BitMart and now Kucoin.
The list is of exchanges support Lightning Network is much biger:
https://github.com/theDavidCoen/LightningExchanges
I posted a topic in 2022 and included this link

I know about the list.

I do not really post about the link anymore when I know that BitMez is not having lightning network but it was included there. Coinbase is having lightning network now but they still indicate that Coinbase is not yet supporting it.

He does this everyday like a morning routine. See his today's spam.

331  Economy / Exchanges / Lightning network on Kucoin on: May 22, 2024, 11:21:32 AM
I wanted to get my bitcoin address on Kucoin recently and I saw bitcoin lightning. You can also see it yourself:

I have not seen anyone that posted about it on this forum. I have four exchanges that uses lightning network for payment. The fee is still cheap and better than converting to an altcoin and convert back to bitcoin.

Other exchanges that I know that has lightning network for bitcoin payment are Binance, OKX, BitMart and now Kucoin.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lunatic gamblers who says Airdrop rewards are free funds. on: May 22, 2024, 10:41:54 AM
why they will not agree when airdrop is indeed income generating as long as you know how to keep safe because there are cases that instead of earning you will be scammed or being fooled .
There are many of them that are scam while many of them will later lead to phishing scam. But if you know how to avoid the scam, they are easy to avoid. But it is important we should know where we are providing KYC.

well , since that is their earning then let them decide where to spend because that is what they wanted to risk and try doubling their money.
This is just it. What some people see as free may not be seen as free to to some people. Some people may think the money is gotten easily and they can risk it to gamble. Some people will decide to spend it in other things.
333  Other / Meta / Why not temporary ban coinmapai199264? on: May 21, 2024, 02:12:50 PM
Coinmapai199264 periodically and often come day after day and post unwanted posts about coins. Only what I noticed is that his posts would be deleted but his account is left unpunished. This person is here on this forum not to contribute anything good but to spam in creating unwanted topics. Why not just give him temporary ban? If he continues after the temporary ban is over, you can give him permanent ban. I guess that he will prefer the permanent ban because he will likely continue spamming after the temporary ban is over.

334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to maximize winning potential and control excessive gambling habits on: May 21, 2024, 12:50:05 PM
If I am not busy at all and I feel like gambling for a long period of time. Let us say that I am receiving $250 every week as my total income, I will use around 2 to 5% to gamble.

Let us say that I use 5% of $250 on gambling. That is $12.5 that I have for that week to gamble. I like roulette and I can go as low as $0.1 while gambling with roulette. That means that I can gamble 125 times if I lose 125 repeatedly without winning. And it is not possible that I will not win. I can continue to gamble for the whole day but which is not possible as I will have other things to do.
335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $84k the Peak for Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2024, 07:08:03 AM
Bitcoin will get to $84000 is not exciting to me. What can make me more excited is bitcoin to get to $100000. Another excitement would come when bitcoin will no longer fall below $100000 but this will be a long time from now. We still have over 7 months in this year to finish, it is still a long time and bitcoin will get to $100000.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 21, 2024, 06:29:25 AM
However, people still gamble for various reasons.
We can assume that the people who still gamble are not from the religion that prohibits it or if they are they are not very religious. In reality too, almost every religion is averse to gambling, Islam is the only one I know that expressly prohibits any form of riba which will include gambling and also investing in Bitcoin, but Christianity is not welcoming of gambling either or any other religion for that matter.
Gambling is forbidden in Quran. That is why you will see Muslim countries that are strict against gambling. But in Christianity, gambling is not forbidden in Bible. Although you can see Christian religious leaders forbidden it as they count it as a love for money which is the root of evil.

The reason was simple, religious people believed gambling is owned by devils. I don't know where you can find in the bible that states gambling is a sin
No where in the Bible that says gambling is a sin.

Many will say the same, but I guess it is because they aren't into Bible reading that deep, I understand but it is not true that there is no where in the Bible that says that gambling is a sin.

The first Timothy 6:9, 10 says the following..

Gambling even with the smallest amount can arouse a destructive love for money.

Isiah 65:11 says the following....

Gamblers often rely on superstitions or luck. However, God views such beliefs as a form of idolatry, which is incompatible with his worship.

When something isn't compatible with your God's worship that makes it a sin, some part sounds like protection of the people from destruction too but all saying the same thing.

Here is another, from the book of Galatians 5:26, it says

Gambling can arouse an unhealthy competitive spirit, which is disapproved in the Bible.

So now are we going to keep saying that there is nowhere in the Bible that says gambling is a sin?

What you post is manipulative. You changed what is not called gambling into gambling while also two among it does not refer to gambling at all.

First Timothy 6:9
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

Isiah 65:11
“But as for you who forsake the LORDand forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny, 12 I will destine you for the sword, and all of you will fall in the slaughter; for I called but you did not answer, I spoke but you did not listen.

Galatians 5:26
Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

There is no where that talks about gambling in the Bible. Do not turn Bible into something that will make some people not to believe in anything you say.

338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between physical and online casino, which can easily make a gambler an addict? on: May 20, 2024, 02:04:37 PM
There are many topics like this.

What people did posted most is that people are using phones and other browsing devices to access gambling sites. That this makes online gambling sites to be more addicted.

If it is land based, you can not access it easily and frequently like browsing devices. But gamblers still need to be careful of both and not get addicted.
339  Economy / Lending / Re: 100 usd loan on: May 20, 2024, 12:22:21 PM
Your account is very old. It has been registered October 2022. Since your account was registered, you have zero reputation on this forum, you are not in any campaign but you come for a loan. Who do you think would be very stupid to loan you the $100?
340  Economy / Service Discussion / How is mempool.space making money? on: May 20, 2024, 11:15:42 AM
Before the site has a paid accelerator which I do not know if it is even working, I do not know how the site is making money. Or is it my device browser that is blocking the ads because I do not see the site having any ads.

Do not mind my question. I just want to know how some sites makes money without having ads. This may help me if I am building my own website.
