321  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB: $50 Vanilla Reload Card on: August 18, 2013, 08:37:25 AM
How would I reload one of these cards and send it to you?  Can you explain the process?  Thanks.

Well, I have a pending buyer, but normally: You'd buy the reload card, Send the code at least 20 minutes after you buy it, and I'd apply it to a prepaid debit card that works with it. Who sends first would depend on reputation and all of that.
322  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB: $50 Vanilla Reload Card on: August 18, 2013, 05:07:36 AM
Pretty much as the title says. I have bitcoin and would like dollars on a Vanilla Reload card, because beer. PM offers

Offer pending.
323  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Mt Gox insecure SMTP mail, such a shame! on: August 17, 2013, 05:40:21 PM
(yes, my mail server is capable to receive SSL encrypted mail, and most of providers use that capability)

Honestly you are better off doing GPG...

326  Economy / Gambling / Re: Play Streak for the Cash on ESPN.com for BTC Winnings on: August 15, 2013, 05:30:26 PM
I'm kind of disappointed. I saw you calling out people and thought "This person must have an interesting offer to present for BTC" but I come here and find you are not actually running places while wearing nothing but bitcoin body paint. I am disappoint  Sad
327  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TradeFortress VERY untrustworthy, owes me 10.15 BTC, possibly others. on: August 15, 2013, 05:24:07 PM
I'd say the lesson is don't trust the default trust list.

I agree, and I don't, but what else are brand new users meant to do?
They have to assume that the default they have been given are sensible.

Well, I kept TradeFortress, dumped Theymos, and added MPOE-PR and Kakobrekla to my trust list.

Maybe all of the Meow-meow (It is the chav way) got him laid up in the hospital Tortilla style?
331  Economy / Services / Re: Title: Translation Romanian -> English. 330 words, 1 BTC. on: August 14, 2013, 03:48:44 AM
LE: Done. I hope it's good. Posted it as a comment on reddit as well.
PS: Lovely ending, with the final line from The name of the Rose.

You're very close in fact, only a couple slight grammar errors. I'll see if MP is in a tolerant mood.

Thank you. I enjoyed translating the text, sorry about any grammar errors that may have slipped.
Any word from MP?

Cheers!

Maybe post it to the Reddit as per the OP?
332  Economy / Services / Re: Title: Translation Romanian -> English. 330 words, 1 BTC. on: August 12, 2013, 01:23:17 AM
Since reddit just loved MP's Prostitextuarea article, you get to translate it.

1 BTC to the first correct translation. Post your attempts there, along with your BTC address.

I'm not sure how close I made it, but I threw and quick and dirty translation up there.
333  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitArena | Online Bitcoin Arena | Season 1 Contest 1 BTC prize pool! on: August 08, 2013, 08:54:09 PM
Wish I could play, but too poor..

Then go to #arena on coinchat. Lower betting amounts.

Also, someone play today!

I'm guessing you're the current champ.  Maybe they can give prizes for top several on the leaderboad.

I'm the current champ on BitArena. I hardly play on #arena because the stakes are too low.

I got up to 1337 on the Coinchat Arena (first) and then moved on.

just read 22 oages of this thread now. it started with so much promise but unfortunately it has no end! why are people going round there! so many threats but all seem empty Sad

Yeah sadly it seems like most people making threats are full of bs. To be honest trying to talk sense into him the easy way doesn't work so unless someone teaches him a lesson nothing will happen and posts on the lending subform will be full of scammers or joey asking for money under multiple alts.

Suing him would be the ultimate lesson. No one's given me a good reason as to why they haven't, other then it's too little an amount to be worth it. Not too little to waste time and gas money sending him pizzas...

In a lot of jurisdictions in the United States small claims courts award triple damages. The problem would be collecting from an unrepentant deadbeat.

Honestly that would probably expose someone to less risk than sending the unpaid pizzas.

They can always seize property, like his computer.

The kind of property that can be seized and what it can be seized for is really tricky. There are all kind of exemptions that vary by quite a bit from place to place.

An unpaid judgment though would probably put the victor in a place to take a cut of the spoils when the inevitable Chapter 7 bankruptcy is filed months or years from now when bigger creditors start seizing and they need the bankruptcy to keep them from losing quite everything.
335  Economy / Lending / Re: small loan on: August 08, 2013, 06:07:08 PM
You need money to sell something?
No, I got scammed on BTCjam. And I am currently trying to sell that loan...BTCjam lets you put up a note to try to sell the debt. Well anyway I was expecting that BTC back and I got missed payments on that loan. I then looked the person up and found out he was a scammer.

So, what are you trying to say here? You're expecting the money back so you're going to pay it forward by scamming someone on this forum? Cheesy
No, I am not expecting it back. I just need a little help until I get paid.

Take him to small claims court.

That would be counter-intuitive, as moomery is joey.

Or a lulz court case of self versus sock.

Is there a ts, mumble, or vent server?

From the original advertisement on Trilema, I don't believe there will be. Honestly, it is one thing I'd rather do without.
