321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here’s What Happens When Bitcoin Block Rewards Reach 1 Satoshi on: November 23, 2019, 12:51:32 AM
I was always under the belief that halving should double the value mathematically speaking. However last time it didn't do anything. Bitcoin just carried on like a sea of water slowly going up and down but nothing substantial. I do think within a few years though that bitcoin will be worth a lot more then it is now. Let us give the halving a little time to sink in and see what happens. The thing about the miners, well they either going to turn off their miners and the difficulty will go down and match the amount of bitcoin minded because of that. Or miners will remain mining 2x as hard for the same amount of bitcoin which has to make the price go up since 2x is massive. If their entire income is cut in half then the price of bitcoin has to improve.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millennials Increasingly Prefer Bitcoin to Gold or Real Estate on: November 22, 2019, 09:16:56 PM
Why not combine and have a crypto investment in real estate. I really wish these ICO projects got their heads out of the sky and someone actually did back a token up by real estate and the tokens are like having ownership in the real estate. It has been 10 years since bitcoin has been out and people are not really using the technology. Rather being selfish. I still cannot understand why there are so few projects.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For new people, when they go on the journey to bitcoin. on: November 22, 2019, 08:55:22 PM
these are good thougts, If you want to be serious about investing and don't want to lose, or just to minify possibility of lost,
you need to work hard, and by that I mean study the subject, also ask and learn from more experienced, without this you can
win only with great luck  Wink
I am a new in trading too, I already bought some books regarding trading , charting and candlestick because I want to learn not only in bitcoin but in everything . I think this is the right thing to do for new people in bitcoin also new people in trading. Research can help us to improve our learnings and strategy in everything we are doing.

Dude candle stick is just a type of graph. Keep reading those books. People need to at least have read a few things before trading and at least some google searches before buying bitcoin. It seems so obvious yet people seem to still neglect it. Yeah knowledge is power.

Yep, it's all about work. If you don't work here you're not going to achieve anything. Either that you work or you invest your money, that's two ways to make it in Bitcoin. If you don't have the money to invest then you will have to work really hard to gain what you need. If you have the money, then good, you can just invest and let your money speak for you.

At first when I started I was thinking that bitcoin is some sort of free money and I saw faucets as a place online where I can go every day to pick some free money, but on the long run I realized that all those things don't work. There is nothing free, faucets are even a waste of time. There are better things one can do to earn enough, like signature campaigns and mining, and trading. Once you've decided what to do next is to put in a lot of effort and do it till it works out for you.

You must work smart. Work where the risk is little and reward more than to worry trying to build up to something that will never be, concentrate on what is good while the gettings good. Also, diversify hugely.
You need to ultimately get your money to work for you. If you do not make money whilst you are sleeping then you will work forever.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you buy with bitcoin? Apparently, some weird shit. on: November 21, 2019, 06:58:48 PM
I read about this. I first heard about it on a youtube channel called "birdman" It is like a meme basically. "you so hot I would drink your bath water" then someone took it seriously to see what would happen.
It probably is real and god who knows what kind of brain dead imbecile would spend their money on such a thing? If it is some sort of fetish it really is a bad one. Like of all the fetish to choose they chose the worst most boring none pleasurable one of all. -_-

Find a girl and take her out with the money god.... Or hey hire a hooker. You will probably have some extra left afterwards.
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All of you Bitcoin Hodlers are mentally ill - *Must Read! on: November 21, 2019, 06:49:56 PM
Oh wow. So many things you have got wrong here. Let me correct you. Anyway yes I actually am mentally ill.  Grin

Funny how you talk about FUD when you spreading it.

You say bitcoin is a ponzi? Ok well think about it. Everything must be a ponzi then. YOu always passing the bag off to someone else in all business. Look at stocks? New investors take what the old investors have. Look at jobs? New people take older peoples job while the older people take the jobs of those ahead of them. Most things have at least 1 thing in common with a ponzi anyway. To be a ponzi you need other things too like a promise of insane interest. Bitcoin gives no promises of anything.

Not all of us live in USA and have to worry about IRS lunatic thugs. Once more USD is not the world.

No women in crypto? lol ok dude. I'm basically more female than male so I half count I think. Anyway I worked with a lady last year doing crypto stuff. I also have a female friend who knows quite a bit about crypto but has not invested I don't know why. I think she wats to save for a boat to live with her bf. He also knows about crypto but wants the same as her. There are more guys than girls but I highly doubt it is for the reasons you think.

USD is not accepted everywhere. Jesus dude what the hell. Once more you think the USA is the only country in the world. How typical.

I'm not arguing with you about gold since I agree with you. It's pretty and nice to look at plus keeping some gold bars just feels and sounds cool.

Bitcoin is a currency which I use because I hate banks I think you seem to forget that. -_-
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: According to the Ceo of coinbase 1 BTC can actually change your life. on: November 21, 2019, 04:48:13 PM
Love when people say it's dead.Crypto is only 1 decade old. Just imagine a few years or decades more. Patience could really pay off on altcoins. I see it as a once in a lifetime deal. HODL, if you have money . Who risks nothing has nothing. It could happen again be ready or not.

This is why I am very sad I was forced to use my bitcoin at the beginning of this year when I had 1.6 btc now I have less than 0.10 I had to pay for things and I didn't want to sell but I had to. This is why I try desperately to make as much more as I can. I want a whole bitcoin again. So I diversify and work at many different places at once. I get paid in bitcoin this is why I always sell and not buy.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scams and new Bitcoin users on: November 20, 2019, 10:28:37 PM
I wonder if you could prove you own a farm with a video clip of your farm and yourself showing people it how much you could make? The problem is with the scams taking the spotlight people prefer them to something legit since a legit mining investment just won't make enough for these greedy people and so they so foolishly fall for scams and never learn their lessons only to repeat them in the next bs site that does cloud mining.
I can't believe it but you still get bitcoin doublers. I mean.... Come on....
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin and the games industry? on: November 20, 2019, 10:05:05 PM
Hey guys, I was wondering about Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptos in general and their relation to the games industry

We all know, people at my age (31 years) growed up playing games, surfing the internet and they are  very close to technology in general

Games always have put new technologies to evolving the market, like: Internet to play multiplayer games, virtual reality and 3d to have a deeper experience, photorealism, payment inside app/game and etc

But until now, games industry didn't use any new technology related to cryptos

Do you think they will use?
And if yes, how they can use BTC, blockchain and cryptos in general?

The only and most obvious for me is use cryptos to pay games, in steam, psn, xbox live and etc, but I'd like to see your ideas guys
Yeah it is hard to spot a game service company or literally a game that accept any form of cryptocurrencies. However, I have read an online article that there's a game service company which is Steam have once used to accept Bitcoin but due to high fees and volatility of crypto they terminate this kind of method. According to Steam they might still reconsider of bringing back this payment method if Bitcoin becomes more stable.

Yawn, old news. Everyone knows what steam is you don't have to post about it like you made this amazing discovery. Btw you still can buy steam games with crypto and steam brining back crypto payment is sueless since all you need to do is buy a steam gift card from just about anywhere with crypto.

Thankfully I can buy my Steam Credits easily. If you reside in the Philippines, there's an app called Coins.ph and you can buy Steam Credits in 1:1 rate. It isn't direct as what you had said that buying games through cryptos but it pretty much ends up at the same thing.
I would love for Steam to allow cryptos to buy their games again, but I hope the rates is still the same because in any case I would stay in the method I am using to buy Steam Credits.

Om what is wrong with you peopke. ANYONE in ANY country can buy steam gift cards with crypto. You do not need steam to accept crypto. If you buy in bulk you can even get a small discount on steam cards which steam would never get you. It might only be 1-2% but it is something you otherwise wouldn't get.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for a recession... Gold or Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2019, 10:00:38 PM
For me it depends. How much money do you have? For me I feel gold is something that people with excess money buy. If you are limited I think stick to bitcoin. If you can afford to buy a few gold coins then I do think you should. Looking at banking and how bloody much I hate it and the fact that they charge you to withdraw your own money and make sure you make nothing with the interest plus the fact that fiat declines by about 5%-7% per year. Keeping some gold sounds good. It's value probably grows at the same or slightly more as inflation.
330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do people decide to create Cryptocurrencies? on: November 18, 2019, 11:48:19 PM
Find a need and fill it. Well, that is what it should be. The honest truth is most coins devs want to exploit and rip people off creating a coin with absolutely no use or value.

It should be about finding a need and filling it then figuring out how you want the coin to be distributed and if you will have a premine and if so how will you justify it. A good plan with a clear future.
Something people can see happening and something that makes sense. The promotions they do here on the forum with bounty. This is the cheapest way by far. Other than that they can advertise in crypto-related forums and social media. The budget and what needs to be bought to keep the coin alive and how you will attract people to it. This is just some of the very many things to think about when making a coin.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Circumvent KYC if You Can? on: November 18, 2019, 11:28:03 PM
What does a picture of someone skateboarding have anything to do with the article? Does it represent freedom or something? Using revolut with bisq doesn't work. Even in that article it says people havebeen getting their accounts suspended. Hardly a bypass. I don't think you can bypass KYC on an exchange that offers it. YOu will have to use another exchange.

I would, if I could. Even if I know full well the implications and what effect could it have on me if I get caught, I'd still do it knowing how KYC works and how details are leaked almost every other day in the scene. Though DEXes can be utilized somewhat for the sole purpose of not giving up ID verification, no one can compete against the volume and liquidity centralized exchanges provide, so if there really is a chance to circumvent KYC or submit fake documents, I would do it.

I agree with you. Having your info is much more harmful than some silly law. You are honest I like that.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that cryptos such as Bitcoin would be mainstream? on: November 17, 2019, 09:28:15 PM
I was just wondering if one day it would be possible for cryptos such as Bitcoin (BTC) OR Ethereum (ETC) to become mainstream one day for people to use for day to day transactions on a daily basis. Because I heard that the people in Zimbabwe with their economic difficulties use cryptocurrencies as a means of trade.

Would the world adopt cryptocurrency as a means of transaction, what do you guys think?

Considering the state of the crypto market and its ecosystem, there is high probability of cryptocurrencies becoming  mainstream currencies just like fiat currency. The nature cryptocurrency presents a decentralized platform which makes it easier for faster transactions with low fees.  But its gonna take some time for it to be adopted worldwide...

It doesn't need to become mainstream. Already you can spend crypto in many places. It doesn't have to be as mainstream as using debit and credit cards though. For me right now it is almost good enough. I would like to be able to spend crypto on more mainstream items like essentials or groceries. Even if I have to first buy some sort of points for my crypto and then spend the points in the supported shop or on the supported service. Being about to topup uber for example by buying uber credit is a good example.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: November 17, 2019, 07:08:28 PM
It would be very hard to do so, to live on BTC you'll have 2 main conditions

- You'll need a decent sum of BTC to be able to pay for everything or a source of income that pays you in crypto-currencies.
- You will also need to be able to find stores for food/water, transport, recreation activities, and real estate options that are able to be payable in BTC, or at least accept gift cards (which are usually able to be bought for with BTC).

Right now, this very hard to do, unless you live in a country with fairly high adoption rates (eg, Singapore).

Your first point is obvious.

I myself can say you also use bitcoin every day, but use it by trading using bitcoin.
Because in my own country still has not legalized the use of legal bitcoin as a transaction tool that can be used.
Therefore my way to participate in using bitcoin is by trading in bitcoin trading and also I use bitcoin as payment when I'm gambling
Many stores are not still aware that they can accept crypto in buying their items, in my country we can buy in stores but I prefer to not use it in buying, but there were times I used it in paying bills, as much as possible I aim to hold it until the supply reach that can create hype in demand.
There are only a few stores in my country that accept Bitcoin as a payment hence, just to use this currency I need to convert it first in our local currency to spend it. Even so, just like you, I try not to spend my Bitcoin as much as possible, perhaps I would consider spending if the bull market comes. Spending Bitcoin to buy what you desire is not bad at all because sometimes you need to treat yourself. As a matter of fact, you earn Bitcoin because you want to achieve something, you want to obtain something so don't hesitate to spend your earnings and enjoy it.

Yea you may as well spend it instead of fiat. When people say they don't want to spend their bitcoin it makes no sense. Things will get better as adoption happens and we will use crypto to fiat conversions less and less until crypto becomes a viable and supported payment option alongside the current ones we have right now.
334  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have You Paid Tax On Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 06:56:45 PM
No. And I never will. Such things are against the ideology of bitcoin and against my own personal morals. The entire reason you use bitcoin was that you get control of what is actually meant to be yours and is no one else's business. I enjoy privacy. How I make my living and how much I make has nothing to do with anyone but me. I am totally against the government knowing exactly what you do and how much you make.
Such surveillance reminds me of a police state and makes me think of America. I am so glad I do not live in the USA with all their insanity.
335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin: Chess Masters vs. Surfers on: November 17, 2019, 01:47:30 AM
I think I am 50/50 I am far too impulsive to be a chess master. I normally will calculate ( or at least try to) what I am going to invest in and how it will work. First finding out how I will break even and then feeling safe creating profits. Once you break even the feeling is great. Its free money from then onwards. Once that happens I will just surf and try to catch the biggest waves and ride them out. Sometimes after breaking even it is best to dump along with the other dumpers and then buyback. Then you vastly increase your total coin amount and hope it goes up more and you either stay making a bit of profit and breaking even or you fold your profit over a few times.
336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of iqoption on: November 16, 2019, 04:50:41 PM
When I first saw IQoptions advertising on android apps I was like "what the !@#$ is this shit" yes definitely you can just make money as they say. Because a business model where they give money away makes so much sense. In their silly little video with that god awful drumbeat that tried to sound catchy all the people win. Lol, all their screens are green. I see they don't show you what happens when you don't win.

It isn't even trading its a joke. It's just a game. It is like gambling. You going to lose. I think most people that try lose and then never try again. I can't understand why it is allowed on the play store actually.
What if you connected your credit card to your googleplay account and set it to family and your kid downloads that shit? No thanks. Stay away. No one hands over money sorry but people who use IQoptions need to wake up.
I bet they feel like real traders when they win xP It's basically just coin flip or a crash game like bustabit.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Inviting Do Away With The Investment Part First on: November 16, 2019, 04:18:21 PM
I don't know why anyone would ever want to begin explaining bitcoin as an investment. That isn't what it is at all. There are so many flaws in that. You need to explain the idea of bitcoin and how it is liberating and free of government and banking control and other external influences. Show them how easily you can set up a wallet and how to send and receive bitcoin. How to keep their wallet safe and other security aspects.
Let them know that cryptocurrency is their friend and here to stay. Tell them about how fiat is constantly weakening due to inflation and about how the banks are starting to do things like charge negative interest.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Will not Ban Bitcoin Mining! on: November 16, 2019, 02:28:55 PM
Maybe if China can't get enough of their people to mine their new coin coming out then maybe they will try to ban or at least threaten to ban bitcoin mining. I think they realize that bitcoin is not going anywhere and the technology behind it is here to stay and they will have to make do and keep with the times. This is why they want more control in the only way they know how by making their own currency.
I wonder how many of you will be the first investors in their new currency? Do you think it will be an easy profit? If the coin is backed by an entire country surely getting in at launch is best?
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters do not need to wait for altcoin season on: November 16, 2019, 01:47:01 AM
I think it is better to follow projects now than it was earlier. I say this because you need to try much harder now to raise the bar as compared to what it was in the past. It isn't enough to just reach the minimum requirements anymore. No longer will a fancy website with fancy transitions make people invest. You actually have to have something of substance now. I mean yeah aa few get through the cracks because foolish people support them but hey what are you gonna do?
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that you shouldn't rely on icobench and others on: November 16, 2019, 01:29:01 AM
I never believe these ICO "benchmark" "review" sites. Calling it a "benchmark" is extremely misleading since there is no benchmark but rather it comes down to how much you trust the site.
The first thing that rushed to my mind when I first saw these sites was "I bet people just buy good reviews" many of the reviews make no sense and they go on and on and on about things they consider innovative but actually like most ICO are really just empty promises that will crumble under their own weight.
