Grin

Grin

Could you explain in detail why you do not think Byteball is not a crypto currency? All what I understood so far is that Byteball uses some centralized "mechanisms" to stabilize and/or secure the network. This will be stopped as soon as most coins are distributed and a critical amount of users use Byteball. Is this right so far? However the coin is still designed to be a crypto currency.

It is designed to be much more than mere "crypto currency".

The byteball distribution thing has as far as I know, been finished recently

No, it has not. A very small amount was distributed up to now and there are many more rounds ahead.

I just see the blackbyte and some free byte share has distributed by the dev, but can you write more about it?

And I don't know how the distribution of the free byteball shares it works. Can you tell me how it works?

I was feeling some of the big companies have got a lot of the free byteshares.

Just read the announcement https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg16156239#msg16156239

Now what we have is a bunch of people with basically free byteballs ready to dump...

You have to be really stupid to dump it now, but since the world is full of dumb retards, some of them will dump for sure.

I thought about the distribution and seems like 10% compound interest is awesome  Shocked

Version 1.3 released https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases.
It includes TOR support in desktop wallets:
.....

Also fixes the recently discovered bug that caused full wallets to crash with error "empty array in query params".

Other new features:
* Ability to re-send blackbytes in case they were not delivered
* If unit is set to GB, MB, GBB, etc, amounts are now shown with decimals

I alway have "Error connecting TOR" message when trying to switch TOR on on linux. What can be the problem?

Do you have the TOR browser open and connected? It's required to be open to use byteball with tor.

Ah, I see. Thanks.

120k BTC linked for this round, seriously impressed.

Same ICO whales at the top of the list.

Total balance linked: 102774.30223170 BTC * Transition rate: 0.0625 gigabyte/BTC=6423GB  will be distributed.
last round byteball 100000GB, equal to 160000BTC, 160000BTC*0.0625GB/BTC=10000GB will be distributed

so this round about 16000GB will be distributed, that's like 1.6% will be distributed in the second round. about 116000GB after second distribution

in the third round, the total byteball will be 116000 GB in circulation, and will get another 116000GB + bitcoin's new GB (maybe another 8000GB)

so 20000GB in Byte in 3rd distribution, so totally will be 132000GB after the third round distribution

the inflation rate maybe 2%-9% per 15 days in different round...

so my estimation is it will take 10 times-20 times to distribute all the left byteball, that means it will take about less one year to distribute all byteball.

If nobody linked btc, it would take a couple of years. With btc linked it will be faster. A reasonable rate imo. And full moon makes it lucky Smiley

0.62Mbyte= ?  Gbyte       ,,,why  the second  round  distribution is so little?  how many 1btc can get  in the first round ?

0.62 Mb == 0.62x10^-3 Gb == 0.00062 Gb

first round info:
http://transition.byteball.org/firstround.html
0.70663132 btc/Gb

why the second round distribution is so little?
dev's decision + there are many nonzero bb balances that also participate in distribution.
But it is 62.5MB not 0.625MB.

That is 0.062GB, bot 0.0006...

yes,,, it is less than  1/10 fhe frist round ,,what the dev is doing ?

It is more than 1/10 of the first round. You get 0.1GB for every GB you have, plus 0.62MB for each BTC you link.

only thing that prevents me from linking my BTC is that it shows the address publicly on http://transition.byteball.org/
i do not like thatt

why do we have to publish the addresses public?

i think we trust the byteball team by now to not fake numbers.

adding to this, you can't really say you are a "private untraceable payment" whenever you can link a bitcoin address to every byteball address that has ever been created??

You should read carefully instructions to your tin foil hat. It should inform you that your BTC address is publicly shown in bitcoin blockchain, such that everybody can see its activity. Your tin foil hat can't change this.

not the point.
and im not being "tin foil"
they CAN link a btc address to your byteball address, which can link to your identity
which is undeniable...

You don't need to link your addresses for this. Your identity can be derived just from your btc activity.
