3261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 29, 2020, 09:28:44 AM
WTH is happening?!
Los Angeles Lakers lost and Brooklyn Nets too?
I didn't watch both games and just saw the final score now. I even put handicaps because I am sure they can win both games.  Embarrassed
Just when I  thought they can break my losing streak.

That hurt my feelings.  Cry

That's a complete loss, betting the opposite would give a win, hehe.. Just like an ordinary day, we sometimes have some loss but we still continue betting. While you loss with your Lakers bet, Stadus won his bet.

Anyway, my pick for tomorrow is Portland TrailBlazers +4.5

Good luck!

CONGRATS STADUS!
3262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think DeFi season is going to be just like Altcoin season? on: December 25, 2020, 02:00:55 PM
I honestly don't feel the De-Fi season, but if it really has happened, I don't think it's bigger than the altcoins season because altcoins season in 2017 was really huge, it made bitcoin's dominance to dropped, but now bitcoin's dominant is really stable and has increased to 68% compared to 35% + during the 2017 altcoins season.
3263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Could Hit $1 This Year on: December 25, 2020, 01:43:02 PM
damn the op should be flipping from the reality itself, many holder will hit pretty badly and recent recover only bulltrap

pretty sure xrp will back to price before 2017 rally, thats make horor story at crypto summer and winter goes continue to nowhere

hope many alt recover and ready for altseason

That's what I'm thinking also, I think it's just a bull trap because it's impossible for XRP to pump when it's being sued by the SEC, bad news should result to a dump of a price, not the other way around which is what we are seeing now. Hopefully people will also think of a possible exit scam, lol
3264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 25, 2020, 01:22:13 PM
Did they say that they will change from a defensive team to a more offensive team?
Yes, they did tell something about changing how the play works.
IIRC, I posted it here before the pre-season. I just can't find it.
It was a tweet from Patty Mills. They did prove it the first game but just like others are telling here they still need to prove it with consistency.
We will just have to watch more.  Wink

Then it's an effective change by the team, coach Pop is known to be a defensive team but I'm happy he was able to make some big adjustments after seeing how his team are playing in the past seasons. Most probably teams will change into a more offensive team and that makes betting on over fun. lol.
3265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Jan 30, 2021 on: December 25, 2020, 12:32:57 PM
And after he lost in the rematch, he claim and admitted that he didn't train properly and just enjoy being the Heavyweight champion and of course all the fame and money that comes with it.
This is where it is worth wondering why he makes statements that he did not train properly.  What's this?
Justification of loss or is it vice versa Threat to future rival.
Now, if I train, then ... All... You have no chance!!!. You are defeated!
All this is psychologically calculated by his managers.
Do you think this is so?
Or just an excuse, a real fighter would not say that, that's a disrespect to the winner, he should put some action in the ring and don't talk too much. There's no threat outside the ring, the real threat is in the inside and we should not easily believe what we heard as all they said might only be intended to attract the attention of the media.
You definitely noticed this.
And I totally agree with that.  It would be better if he did not say that he had not trained enough, but would simply be silent.  This statement of his sounds like an excuse, and a real strong fighter, as he should be, must grit his teeth and rush to victory without any words.
What's important to us is what they've shown in the ring but there some statement that would really ring on us and I would say it's really getting the attention of the people for whatever the purpose is, well, the main purpose is just to sell the right, so probably that's it.
3266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price in 2020. on: December 25, 2020, 12:01:08 PM
It is predicted that Ethereum could perform much better and its value of tokens may rise to $750 by the very end of 2020, rising to $900 in 2021.
Who expected that to happen? I want to know this in full so that the evidence can be very clear, because it is about profit and it will make people rich if that happens with certainty to the Ethereum token.
I believe that next year Ethereum will indeed reach up to $ 900 with some ease, but I still aim to expect the achievement of the all-time high for Ethereum, which was fixed at $ 1,300. And if we take into account the performance of bitcoin to date, then it has achieved new heights and a similar trend
ETH is still undervalued at the moment, remember ETH's ATH, we are just over half of the price, so there's still more room to grow.
Bitcoin has already break its ATH and having a new ATH soon, so let's be optimistic about the future of ETH as long as bitcoin will not have a major dump.

Quote
I expect from Ethereum, which has real prerequisites for growth, given the staking and increased network bandwidth.
We will see the effect of ETH 2.0 soon. REAL EFFECT!
3267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 25, 2020, 11:42:24 AM

well, when you gamble, no one can guarantee profit, all you can do is try to get luck.....

This is wrong, you can't get luck, luck will come to you and you'll never know when it will come.
If you want to rely on luck alone, then I'm sure gambling is not a thing you have to be serious of, it's just a thing that you'll consider as fun, pure fun.
3268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: December 25, 2020, 10:43:42 AM
This is true, saturated with useless project but we lack good projects to exists in the space, it's necessary that these bad projects will be eliminated so people confidence will be back again and they'll be able to help the projects with real potential to grow.
The bad projects will never be eliminated completely. This is a difference from the stock market that has been a thorn on the crypto market. We see so many projects here do so many things. But 99% are failures. Whatever sugarcoated stuff they say in the first, it all ends up with very low price and useless tokens which cannot be spent anywhere.

So yes that type of saturation does exist and bad project keep on coming.

My suggestion is to follow bitcoin only. Because it is what is going to be big in future.

I'm investing on bitcoin but does not rely on that coin only, I have my altcoins as well though my big exposure is on bitcoin. Bitcoin only is boring IMO, there are lots of interesting altcoins which we can invest, so I guess we should also not missed that opportunity.
3269  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 can be achieved by end of year? Or January 2021? on: December 25, 2020, 10:20:59 AM
Well we still have plenty of days ,few days ago bitcoin struggling to come back at 19k yet it breaks 24,000 ,so what's impossible for bitcoin to achieve ?

i'm still in good faith that another ATh will happen before the year ends ,specially that Ripple investors seems to be changing course now.
There are no signs of Ripple investors shifting into Bitcoin right now and with Bitcoin moving sideways this past few days, I don't think that they will come in at its highest price.
There is a news that heavily affected Ripple causing its price to go down massively but it moved up as of today. More delisting or trading halt in the exchanges especially the more popular ones will lead Ripple to more downward movement.

$25,000 until the end of the year has a low chance but who knows right Cheesy. We've seen Bitcoin moving massively towards the upside in just a small amount of time. I'm not expecting it to happen but if it will happen then ok Cheesy.

Ripple moving up doesn't mean it will survive, they are facing a serious lawsuit and I doubt they'll be able to survive that as the government would not sue them if they don't have enough basis to convict these people. While the lawsuit is ongoing, people will be worry about the future of Ripple, so they'll look for another investments.
3270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was 22.3K the correction? on: December 24, 2020, 11:18:10 PM
I believe it is, but we consider it as a minor correction only, we have some surge and therefore it's expected that major correction will come. Bitcoin on the other hand is still bullish, I'm not certain if it has already top, so I think it might rise a bit before the big correction will start.

However, this is just my own personal opinion, I could be wrong like many others, we just have to be smart and don't make ourselves greedy on what we are seeing as we might be FOMOd.
3271  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 can be achieved by end of year? Or January 2021? on: December 24, 2020, 11:01:28 PM

There are issue with Ripple right now, I check it today a 25% decline in the last 7 days? What gives?
Actually 48.72% now per https://coinmarketcap.com/.

So I don't know if Ripple investors are shifting to bitcoin, or the king is still unstoppable at this point and investors are really targeting that big $25k before the end of this year. Why not though, we all know that the market moves in a positive direction when everyone is still in FOMO season.
Exactly, but we don't know if we already hit the top or not yet, bet on that... some people might have already sold their bitcoin and take profit while some are still buying it thinking it's still an opportunity though we are not seeing a dip.
3272  Economy / Speculation / Re: New ATH then correction of 35%+ on: December 24, 2020, 10:42:50 PM
bitcoin has reached an all time high at $ 24k, and the correction is only 4%,
I hope there is no 35% correction for bitcoin, of course it will be a bad thing if this happens this year.

We will see, the hype is on now, lots of people are in belief that bitcoin will not anymore dump because big institutions are investing on bitcoin, same stories I heard last 2017 and some even said there's a massive adoption already, so I believe it's not different this year or next year in terms of correction.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: December 24, 2020, 10:22:12 AM

most of your bets are handicap and not moneyline
i conclude you do that to get higher coefficient
what is the coefficient you are aiming usually?

I think it's because of the odds, when you are betting on the favorites and you bet on ML, you won't get at least 1.90 odds, most probably you'll get a lower odds and that will not help you in the long run.  Most of the bettors I guess are betting on the point spread and total so they'll get a good return.

If you are aiming to a much higher earnings then choosing over and under or handicap would be your  best options. If you have good knowledge between the opposing teams.

You can weight the handicap, picking which side you'll be placing your bets depends from how you really understand the game.

Adding to that, there also chances that low odd can still lose your bet, if you are fully into gambling this type of bets probably
the best one to test both your luck and knowledge.

I'm betting on the handicap and the total, but we should not discuss more of that here as this thread is support to be sharing your opinion on a certain pick and that's what OP has been doing.

~snip~

Agree, he might have forgotten to edit the thread title, this thread was created last Dec. 30, 2018, so I believe it was only edited once.
3274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 24, 2020, 09:40:29 AM
Big win for the Spurs against the Grizzlies. De Rozan starting off good aldridge Aldridge was able to contribute as well. I hope this team remains consistent throughout the season. The players owe it to their coach who is nearing his retirement days.
If they can win against a healthy Grizzlies team then I guess they are already on a good track.
Dejounte Murray had a lot of contributions. 21pts 6 rebs 9assts Wow!
Something changed with the Spurs play. More outside shots.

They seem to really change, it's a new spurs as they are now a high scoring team. They scored 131 points against a good team, so how much more on a weaker team, but then again, this is just one game, we would like to see their consistency in the season.

Did they say that they will change from a defensive team to a more offensive team?

I think I read somewhere something like that, and they are showing now what they are preparing in the last season, so can we expect a surprise from the spurs here?

I did not predict them to be in the playoffs this season, so I might be wrong.
3275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 24, 2020, 09:17:50 AM
Look this could have been a historical night for Nikola Jokic if he was just made that winning score. But that's just the way it is, right? anyway, he was amazing tonight looking forward to seeing his next games.

He's the man, he will continue to make that kind of stats as he plays longer in the NBA, probably the best big man in today's generation and I like his hardwork and he still remain humble. Denver has a long way to go, some teams just have a bad opening game but the law of average will prevail.
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 23, 2020, 01:53:33 PM
He will not do it, i don't remember any rematches that he agree to play with, and Mayweather will not let his guard down, he will not let other people win the game because they might do like what he did to them, if he will make a rematch with Manny expect that it will create a tons of money again, but the thing is he will not be the winner this time and I am sure of it, and if ever I will not bet in this game, I rather bet in not so well known boxer rather than a game with Floyd.

Mayweather will really hold into that record until he dies. I think it would be a miracle if Mayweather fights again Sen. Manny Pacquiao, if that is the case I find this rematch to be impossible. Maybe another rematch to McGregor is a match he would approve, because it would be another millions in his pocket. He's amazing to achieve an unbeatable run until he hang his gloves, we can't argue about that but accepting these matches might've hit some of the  boxers that wanted to face him.
I don't really see why that will not happen as there is a lot of possibility that we need to consider especially the amount that Mayweather will accumulate either he win or he lose. Anyway, it might not only on Mayweather side that the match may not be held as Manny's wife and grandmother is too worried for him in matches with well-known boxer i.e. Mayweather.
Anyway, I can this rematch to happen before any of those two hang their gloves for good for their last match and I'll be watching it.

Probably the rematch will generate a bigger money than the first one, the first one was called as the fight of the century but in essence it's really not as it turns out a boring fight, more on running as Mayweather dictated the pace, maybe in the 2nd time Manny will be lucky then people will be satisfied.
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 23, 2020, 12:31:03 PM
I have even seen a site where it is possible to bet on the number of infections from the virus.
I don't remember the name, but people are becoming more and more innovative and come up with the most strange ideas.
But where does the statistics comes from? are the data's reliable or also provided by the site?if they are providing their own Data about covid Infections then They really have a problem in mental ..

You will fabricate data's for the result of your own betting, and if the government Data they will use, leakage may happen because there might be insider that will release the data earlier than the site result, for me this is a total mess

There's always a rule for that, the site whoever will offer such kind of betting will certainly indicate which data would be the basis to grade bets, otherwise, the site be called a scam as people will complain.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 23, 2020, 12:19:04 PM
Marc Gasol just played his first game with the Lakers, he only played 12 minutes and scoreless, what a bad game for him in his debut as a Laker.
Bad for him, but he will definitely adjust, it's just his first game.

However, there's a good news here, it seems like Paul George is comfortable with the current coach. He lead the team with 33 points and with some accurate shooting at 13/18 and 5/8 in the 3 point line, if he plays like this kind of consistency, Clippers is a tough team to beat.
3279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 22, 2020, 11:59:29 PM
With the match of Nets vs Warriors later. I've stumbled upon this article. KD admits that he's missing his past teammates and is now likely in good terms with Green.

After Warriors exit, Kevin Durant sounds like he's on decent terms with Draymond Green

Warriors will never be the same as before, when they're conquering most of the teams.

That would be a good thing for Kevin Durant to do, forgive and forget and move on as no matter what he would do now won't change the past. I remembered that scene very well and for me that is jus a burst of emotion for Draymond Green and part of the game, nothing personal.
It's part of their career as a professional inside the court.

There would always be misunderstanding and quarrels like this. But the past is past and we've heard it from KD that they've been ok and there's no bad emotions left for both of them.

As long as they're in good terms, that's the most important part that they had. We get to see KD play again later. Which team you're eyeing for this match?

I'm a fan of the Splash Bros TBH and Kevin Durant as well when he was playing for the Warriors  Smiley. Today's odds for the games between them is interesting as Klay Thompson won't play thus making the odds to bet for the Warriors @3.60 which for me is very attaractive and tempting considering that this is KD's first game and we don't know how we would jell with his team mates.

Bottom line, will bet for the underdog.

You have a good point, Nets are so hype because of the return of Durant and Irving, actually they did well in the preseason but this is regular season, thins could be different, so your bet has a good chance of winning, good luck on that.
