2541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 06, 2021, 11:21:17 AM
Wow, I'm amazed, another fight for Canelo Alvarez, this is his 3rd fight in a year according to his record.
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/348759

I think he can have another fight if he will win easily again.
his last two fights this year were won by RTD.

His opponent is undefeated but lack of experience, so I'm still with Canelo Alvarez to win.
2542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Accumulating small odds or choosing one or two big odds on: August 06, 2021, 10:47:54 AM
I'm not too good in predicting with accumulated odds I rather go for a straight win and it's pays off most of the times. I gamble only 10% of my monthly income and decipline myself enough not to exceed it unless I have won extra income on my bet then I can go as far withrawing a certain percentage then increase my stake for that month.

I think 10% of monthly income going to gambling is rather on the high side except for you gambling is a source of income and not totally fun or you are doing it as investment. Usually 10% is should go for things as important to live, like savings, health, rent, feeding but not gambling but when you see your gambling habit as investment, that can be cool then.

It must be high for some, but for others, it's just a small percentage.

However, I don't agree with your statement that you should put a higher percent of your income if gambling is the source of your income because it does not make sense if you really are making money in gambling or the word source means you are making a living, you should put everything in gambling to maximize your income.

Here are the undercards of this big fight.

https://nyfights.com/announcements/undercard-announced-in-support-of-pacquiao-vs-spence-jr-ppv/

Quote
WBA Welterweight World Champion Yordenis Ugás will square off against Argentina’s Fabián “TNT” Maidana in the co-main event, while former world champions and all-action brawlers Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and “Vicious” Víctor Ortiz will meet in a 10-round welterweight duel. Kicking off the pay-per-view at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, unbeaten featherweight contender Mark Magsayo battles former world champion Julio Ceja in a 10-round attraction.

We have good fighters in the undercard, this day should be an entertaining day and I'm sure I'll lock into this fight.
I have not availed of the PPV subscription yet but I'm sure I will.

Finally, it has been updated already, the wait is over and now we know already who's gonna fight.

There's one Filipino fighter here, he is undefeated and he is lucky to have work with MP promotion that he gets a chance to fight in this historic fight, if he will beat the former world champion, then for sure he will get more big fights in the USA.
2544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being unpredictable on: August 05, 2021, 03:31:10 PM

yes, in my country casinos are forbidden too, as far as I know we don't have underground casinos but there are some places you can go to play things like poker,
the lottery is allowed and ran by the government of course, and there is a famous game in the streets that is not legal but you can find everywhere that is called "jogo do bicho", kind like a clandestine lottery with animals

You'll not get the full satisfaction if you are afraid of getting caught, when gambling is illegal, you should not play in a physical casino, instead, learn how to do it online. What's the use of entertainment if you risk yourself getting caught on a violation that you will regret later?
2545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What hatred do people have for Bitcoin? on: August 05, 2021, 03:05:30 PM
My Questions now are, Why do some people hate cryptocurrency so much? What's their back story? Did they ever lose a huge amount of money in cryptocurrency?
There can be many reasons why people hate Bitcoin. The most general one is that it's something relatively new and risky, and it's a part of human nature to be cautious and a little hostile to new things because if we don't know it, it might be dangerous. Another reason is shilling for something else: Bitcoin is a scam, but _____coin is revolutionary / stock market is awesome / investing in property is great. And, of course, there are reasons mentioned here before, such as people with negative experience who invested and then sold at a low price point or got scammed or people who're jealous and greedy.
I often hear those bolded words as the reason why they are hated and afraid to invest in Bitcoin. They are telling the truth that this was risky but talking about "it is a scam", they might have a scam experience causing them to blame Bitcoin which is suppose to blame themselves or the person who scammed them, not Bitcoin.

Another reason is that...the volatility of the market.
2546  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: August 05, 2021, 02:37:09 PM
so yea like will ever just stabilize really low like in 2018 and 2020? or are we at the low?
Everything that happens yesterday, today, and tomorrow is unpredictable, that much more in the future, I think it was just only a wild guess. Because if we are sure what would really happen this year, like be said the same as 2018-2020, we're supposed to sell more rather than accumulating coins. But as we can see, people are still investing and quiet to see how the market shows an amazing trend like it never dumps and turns bearish after hitting its ATH. That was enough to prove that the market is changing and no path to follow and thinking about another 2018-2020 is seems impossible to see.

https://www.theblockbeats.com/en/flash/43369
Tax laws require brokers to comply with IRS reporting requirements. Most importantly, they must tell their customers' details. For the encryption industry, this is impossible, and it also means that the government has banned mining in disguise. The government’s purpose is simply to improve tax compliance. But this influence to the  currency industry may be devastating。
There is a possibility that all crypto holders will pay taxes in the future once the government is really serious about tax implementation. We know it was not what we wanted to happen that is why we choose crypto instead of fiat but seem to have no choice if they become aggressive and if there is an implementing rule urging every holder/user to pay taxes.
But this gonna be a long discussion and the not being so easy to do that, not unless if they fully control the market. But something we are just be prepared of, who knows, right?
2548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losing in trading needs questioning on: August 04, 2021, 01:18:42 PM
...

I usually ask myself questions whenever I have consecutive loses in trading, trying to know where I'm getting it wrong. This had helped me many times to get more trading knowledge that had improved my entire trading.
I appreciate how you are able to manage yourself despite the losses and mistakes that you have done.
Well, I have to remind you that learning couldn't be instant, suffering losses is not a thing we worried about but to consider this as a helping tool to let us know where we are wrong and a need to correct it ASAP. And those who easily give up and leave crypto, it was clear to say that they are not meant for this. as this is only the place for risk-takers, and sad to say that not all are destined to become a trader either.
2549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 04, 2021, 11:13:43 AM
I do not see any compelling reasons for the change in odds that we are seeing now. I think this is only due to the fact that the bookmakers are forced to balance the bets that they have already accepted (apparently most of the bets are placed on Pacquiao). I am more and more inclined to think that it is worth betting on Spence  Smiley

It's worth betting to any of the fighters, they are champions and we know they can give a good fight and there's a reason why we choose one fighter over the other. Some believe that Manny will lose, while some believed on Spence to win, that's normal in sports betting but for me, I'll pick the older fighter which they called the legend, that's a no brainer for me, it's power vs speed and I'm going with the speed.

Do you think Pacquiao has more speed? I strongly doubt it, at least with each new round he will slow down more than the young boxer. I am still wondering what kind of bet I should make. Maybe I'll wait for the match to start and place a bet online if I see a profitable change in odds.

Yes, 100%... Manny Pacquiao has the speed advantage over spence, I'm sure majority of bettors and fans here will agree with me. Spence has the youth, has the advantage in terms of power, "maybe", but with the experience and speed, I think Manny will win the fight. Just think of it, if you are not sure yet, but I'd say, follow your heart always, so you'll have fun watching the fight.

2551  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc down trend are started ? on: August 03, 2021, 09:15:42 PM
We are going to show BTC death cross in few days, so it's a bearish signal for BTC market. If you show the previous BTC detath cross then you have got a beautiful idea. I am expecting BTC starting down trend,
What do you think about it? What is your view point?
then after few weeks will uptrend then again downtrend then uptrend .

so the question is what's new? whats the problem?

actually if you are a true crypto believer? you will already understand this situation as this is normal since day 1?

This speculation is for people who are investing in short term, volatility is their main concern and they need to make the correct guess so they'll be profitable in trading, but for long term investors, this volatility would not affect us since we are waiting for a right target before we make a transaction to buy or sell.
2552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: August 03, 2021, 08:43:20 AM
over the weekend bitcoin recovered back to $34K after going below $30k and early this money the market jumped to above $38k breaking the $35k market bench mark, a move that many will see as a bull market movement. am very optimistic that in the coming days of the week bitcoin market is going to make a significant upward movement that will make it price recover back to it all time price of $64k and there after recording a new all time high.
what are your takes on the current bitcoin market movement.
I think bull market is back on track. When Bitcoin drops up to 29k$ I thought that was the start of the bear market but after dropping to 29k$ the price is slowly rising up to 40k$ so I think we are in bull market because the price is rising, and maybe it will continue to rise in the next few days.
Even the market will keep on the $30k price range, for me, I'm still considering the situation is bullish. But to talk about another ATH before the year-end, that seems impossible. I mean, we're done with a tremendous bullish season early this year, and base on the previous Bullrun it hasn't seen as we run for two sets of ATH in one year after hitting the peak. Nevertheless, everything is unpredictable and we know that the market looks different from what is shown in the past years.
2553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why newbies lose huge money in trading on: August 03, 2021, 08:09:26 AM
Newcomers lose a lot of money in trading because they do not have much knowledge about the market and are less patient and more emotional. You have to have patience to trade and if you can't control your emotions you can't succeed also the main reason for losing money is inconsistency they know dozens of trading techniques and try to use them in every market they trade. They also trade in several markets at the same time they will rarely follow their trading plans all this combined will eventually lead to huge losses.
In general, it is all about market preparation and self-control. It is for sure, no one will ever succeed if we don't have this stuff. Many had to think trading was easy as many advertisements says but the truth is that, they are just lying to us. And now, these newcomers will think differently and even to blame the market which is supposed to be they have their self first as this was their fault.
2554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin an Investment or Payment form? Has it lost its purpose? on: August 02, 2021, 11:45:35 PM
We see alot of bitcoin integrations from paypal, mastercard but is there a public for that? With hour long payment confirmations, I just don't see it as a payment form in everyday life. Has bitcoin turned into an investment wagon or is there still a possibility of it becoming an everyday payment currency?
I just see this as a big struggle when we wanted instant but somehow, there is a time of long delays in confirmation especially when you pay the lowest pay. This gives some excuses and that is why I use to pay higher fees if I'm in a hurry but the good thing now is the fee is too small, we can set it on the maximum if we want almost instant, I think just only a few minutes it was already confirmed. Maybe sometimes we have to understand the situation but for me, being intended for a payment solution, that is still far from reality.
2555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why do you keep allcoins? on: August 01, 2021, 11:44:22 PM
I don't keep all altcoins, I am only holding the most promising altcoins. There are too many altcoins right now, they are very different, not all can be worthed to keep a long time. For new hype altcoins, I will trade daily or weekly. And for low caps altcoins that I got from bounties, I will sell directly once I receive them. I will consider keeping for years, only a few altcoins such as ETH, BNB, DOT, TRX, and etc.

Just like you, I'm also holding mix old and new coins but I don't have any time frame until when I still hold my altcoins, what I consider most if seeing already a good profit, I sell them immediately. Holding altcoins have no assurance especially for the new projects, it was really a risk-taking investment and sometimes we ask for some luck Grin.

Well, sometimes we got lucky and sometimes we're bad and disappointed. It was normal and if we act absurd, the more we compromise our funds and even to lose more.

2556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: July 30, 2021, 09:47:10 PM
Physical casinos are regulated, they can offer online gambling as well with different guidelines, and eventually, in the future, the regulators will be strict in implementing the KYC whether you are using fiat or crypto online and both can be used for money laundering. The fact that big countries are already putting a tax on crypto transactions, we will likely see a uniform implementation in the future and the so-called "anonymous betting" that we enjoyed today, might be gone tomorrow.
2557  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will Bitcoin go? on: July 30, 2021, 02:44:05 PM
I think the downward trend in Bitcoin price is not over yet. In the short term, the price of bitcoin still has the potential to fall around 20-40% from its current position before it will reverse higher.
Everything will become possible in crypto but I don't certainly think that Bitcoin will ever dump below $10k again. $10k-$20k might be the possible bear price for Bitcoin, which will be 50-60% versus the current price today. Honestly, I'd never seen a huge dump come to happen when there is no panic selling has been made. Most of us are now learning from the past, now the majority are able to manage their emotions and keep calm unlike the previous years.

Quote
Therefore, for now you can make short-term trades, you can sell because the price will still be corrected, then you can wait until the bitcoin price drops to re-enter.
Either a short-term or long-term trades, we still have to think wisely and never go along with the negative insights as this was the reason why many become a victim of fake news and FOMO.
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee? on: July 30, 2021, 01:57:37 PM
Aside from Bitcoin (BTC), will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee?
Of course my question is based on some experiences that occur in the market.
My observations of crypto market conditions, such as there are groups or people who do things that cause the price of other coins to only last for a moment.

Please have a discussion that makes all participants gain new knowledge.
I'd never see any assurance from investing in crypto coz that really depends on the investors but, if you know what you are doing and invest in those coins that are profitable like ETH and BNB as for long-term investment, you certainly have a huge chance to make some profit from them. But as I said, it really matters how you manage your trades because if you also don't have faith in your invested coins, it could easily for you to get panic and even think about selling once it drops.
2559  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin doesn't care about Tesla and Amazon on: July 30, 2021, 01:23:15 PM
When we speak of manipulation, anything could happen to the market, and sometimes it's the opposite of our expectation.

Bitcoin cares for the adoption as that is the purpose why it's created, as it's adopted, the demand will increase and the bitcoin price will rise.
Tesla and Amazon accepting bitcoin is a good adoption, especially for Amazon where millions of people are using this for their online shopping.
2560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: July 30, 2021, 12:50:22 PM

What do you think about the level of the teams in these Olympics? I realize at these olympics in Japan, the teams are very balanced.
Do you believe the USA team level dropped a lot? Or was it the level of the other teams that increased?

They just beat Iran, and they showed power by beating them with a wide margin but this team already have three losses including the exhibition games, we will only know this if they face another strong team again like the Czech Republic, Spain, or Slovenia, they have the momentum now they are now blending well but well only know if they can handle the pressure against a strong team from other groups.

Yes, the biggest test for US is to face a good team with NBA players. Not discounting Iran, but they are only good in the Asian region, so it's not a good yardstick to say how good team USA because they have lost already. In their group is Czech Republic, so this is a good test for team in the next game to see if they really blend already. And this is a make or break for US, they don't have the luxury to lose this one.

Well, USA will not give up their goal to win the gold easily, they have been dominating so the current roster will have a bad reputation if they lose. According to the betting odds, it looks like it's another easy win by the USA.

The current odds are;

ML - USA 1.01  / Czech Republic 20.00
Point spread is -22.5 for the USA.
