2301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is burning coins good on: October 27, 2021, 09:45:02 PM
I dont get the whole idea behind burning tokens. Some projects issue billions or trillions of tokens and announce they have burned several millions after some time. Not a big achievement imo. Or the token is very, very cheap and they burb a great part of supply. That does not change a lot. What was cheap, stays cheap. Some projects put too much attention on burbing. Like it is a miracle. But in general burb barely affecte the price.
We have that same thought before, I really don't think that was helpful to the project but now, it seems a way to boost their price and that it looks beneficial to everyone. This process has been known now, many projects have a huge market cap trying to uplift their price and they do the burning of thousands of tokens, in fact, the known Binance Coin had been doing this twice(if I'm not mistaken).
It is very common practice this time but if the project itself doesn't have any use-cased, that I think still useless.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going for the Underdog or Not? on: October 27, 2021, 05:56:28 AM
If you only have $10 left in your sports betting account, would you go for the champ which you can only earn $3, or go for the underdog which if he got lucky can triple your money?
I will go to low odds even though the  profit isn't high but I think that best choice compared full rely on the luck because chooce fighter B and end up losing all the money, but I do research before place the bets see their stats and also read the news about the opinions of observers but this is only as an additional reference before finally deciding which fighter to choose.
I made an experiment before betting on low odds and in fact, I won most of the time but I realize in the end that the strategy was not profitable. So, I will not recommend betting on the favorites with low odds all the time as it's not designed to give free money, sometimes it's designed to lure gamblers to just put their money on it without knowing the long-term effect is not profitable.
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 27, 2021, 05:23:07 AM

If AD and LeBron both miss the next game, the Lakers will most likely to have -2.5 again against the Thunder.

I would still take that -2.5 as the Lakers even without Lebron and Davis is still better than the OKC IMO.

Now that Westbrook already had the best game so far as a Lakers, I trust him to carry the team to another win against OKC.
Westbrook scored, 33 points, that's a huge improvement compared to his previous games, hopefully, this will continue but I also like to see Lebron and Davis be back soon.
2304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going public saying you own Bitcoin is not safe anymore on: October 26, 2021, 11:15:26 PM
we don't need people's acknowledgment that we are involved in the crypto world, so it's better to be silent and not reveal about ourselves who are members of the crypto world to ordinary people. I think it's safer because we don't know other people's intentions, so to reduce the bad risk it's better to just keep quiet. don't forget to also keep our data about crypto safe so that other people don't know about our personal data such as passwords or other things related to our assets.
Perhaps, getting known to the public that you hold Bitcoin is not making you proud but it encourages scammers and hackers to track your keys/password. I guess keeping anonymous in the public is very important especially this crisis time to avoid such unwanted things. Being bulgar to the people around would something it gives some awareness about crypto and help them also understand but somehow, it also compromise your safety knowing that we don't know the mind of the people around and we have to anticipate those things before it happens.
2305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you making money with BOTS or Copy Trading? on: October 26, 2021, 10:44:25 PM
Maybe I couldn't tell you that because I'd never try to use trading bots due to some negative feedback. Some say's they can make some but the majority are still losing. Well, I guess, it was just the same of you are manually doing this than relying on bots and besides, you are still doing the command. Because the only benefit we've got from using trading bots is it can perform trading 24hours unlike us but the results are still the same. Maybe, if you have a hectic time and you still wanted to trade, then this is suitable for you but never think you'll become more profitable.
2306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Now the price is bullish on: October 25, 2021, 11:40:01 PM
now the price literally going crazy, with no top , guess u should have exit plan, remember dead May before, but the good news, its still far from over, btc wont get high correction like 2018 before touch 140k ++ . of course this is just my thought.
It got actually a top and it was near $67k and I've thought that it will break to that price but it didn't. But the good thing is it didn't went close to $59k but only $60k. This is actually a good sign that the dip was truly healthy and it's recovering a little by little. Thinking of an exit plan is too early if you're thinking that at this time. If you're satisfied then with $60k+ then you should have your exit but don't regret if you ever see and realize that bitcoin has the potential to go more than $100k.
This means that panic selling doesn't visible this time and have to say that the people are learning already. FUDs had been almost ignored this time and it was not affecting anymore. It is really good to see like that and this could help for the fast recovery and bring back the price to spike again.
I was seeing that we end this year with strong market support. And I was predicting that we gonna reach $80,000 next month.
2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: October 25, 2021, 07:29:48 AM
Cant believe what I have just read. I am familiar with Mike Tyson, but Logan Paul is? He looks sporty, but Mike Tyson in his late age is in good shape also. But, Tyson is a pro boxer, that havent lost his skill. The fight against Roy Jones Jr is a proof of that. And Logan Paul is just a guy who has several boxing fights. I understand that it is all about money, but there should be limits. Athletes with same level of skill or experience should  compete against each other. Other one wont learn anything from the fight, other will lose skills due to competing with weak.
You're not familiar yet with the Paul brothers? They've been challenging professionals not just in the boxing industry but as well as other sports. This is likely their livelihood today because they make millions of bucks doing these exhibition matches. And on the side of Tyson, he's old and aged but his prowess is still there and if you'll look for videos about him at his current age, he's still got what it takes. As long as it's just an exhibition match, I think that's fine for him.
Even if it's just an exhibition fight there's always a chance that a boxer will be seriously hurt, we've seen a lot of exhibition fights already this year that a boxer was knocked out cold, so if one is not fully conditioned, he might face a serious problem on his health after the fight.
2308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 25, 2021, 07:00:28 AM
Anyway, posting my early pick is Charlotte +8.5. T

Halftime score 50-58 Nets.

Charlotte needs to play better in the 2nd half for my bet to cover.
Durant is still very impressive here with 9-12 shooting and already had 18 points in the 1st half alone.

10% my bet would hit.  Smiley

10% chance has become 100% chance, congrats again on that win, you are again hot, I guess this is the 3rd win streak if I'm not mistaken. That was easy, not only covered the spread but they also beat the Nets.
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a right time to buy some ethereum?. on: October 24, 2021, 11:08:05 PM
Ethereum should be presented in your portfolio anyways. This is one of the most fundamental coins and I would suggest to give it at least 20% of your crypto portfolio. You can't buy the dippest dip, there is no need to guess. Just hold it and buy more on dumps - you won't be disappointed.
I agree, ethereum is one of the big players, and while I am not as convinced about ethereum as I am about bitcoin without a doubt it is a project that will not disappear overnight and as such it is worth a small investment, 20% seems about right, anything more than that and I would think the people investing so much money in it are exposing themselves too strongly to this coin, however at the end of the day each person needs to take the necessary decisions regarding their capital.
Ethereum is still on the lead among altcoins, though it has a tough competition against BNB, and with the huge fees problem, I'm not believing that this coin will lose its potential in the future. Many projects are still using the ETH platform and that helps to make this coin exist but I think the developers must have to find a solution to their fees as it really becomes disappointing otherwise it could lose its position.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 24, 2021, 11:42:59 AM
Shakur was too much for Herring, I was not expecting that Herring did not have an answer on Shakur's attack, he maybe have a strong chin that he would not go down but the ref saw that he was not anymore responding to the punches of Stevenson, so instead of increasing the damage, the ref decided to stop the fight and declare Stevenson the champion, he is now a two-division world champion, congrats to him.
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: October 24, 2021, 10:54:56 AM
Bring this on, though it looks like a waste of time to others actually it's a fun fight to watch.

Mike Tyson against a boxer who Mayweather had dominated in the fight, I guess Mike has a chance of winning here and I like to the result of the poll as everyone is in favor of Mike Tyson.
2312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We enter a new era of heavy regulations on: October 22, 2021, 08:02:38 PM
It surely has to come even we don't like it. The SEC and the government had never to stop finding a way to give the solution about fraud and money laundering that these people are now using crypto for faster and anonymous transactions. Maybe, this has become the consequence but I'm not going to against this intention as we(users/investors) are also benefiting from this and the purpose of being legalized as a money tender. Whatever the regulations that will impose, I think we have to abide by them and help to promote the use of crypto as it has already gained support from the government.
2313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: October 22, 2021, 07:20:44 PM
We all know that long term investment in Bitcoin is reasonable but how reasonable do you think long term investment in Altcoins is?
I think long-term investment in Altcoins is full of risks but short time investment is more profitable. Do you agree with me?
One straight answer for you, invest those potential altcoins like ETH for this sake and it comes reasonably.
But if you were stupid enough to invest those shitcoins, no market volume, not listed to know exchanges (like Binance), I don't know where it goes. It is probably your investment will fail.
It really matters to have a good choice of investment, not just because someone had promoted and used his name to influence us but instead, it rather has to look at the capabilities of the project.
2314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend your Bitcoin? on: October 22, 2021, 01:43:53 PM
On my part, I prefer holding bitcoin and planning to hold it until the year 2024 or the next halving but still, there are some instances that I will be needing money which makes me convert my bitcoin into fiat, well there is no problem with that because you are the owner of that coin and you can do whatever you want, if you still have some extra money then better just to keep your bitcoin, holding is really good and profitable.
I currently hold my bitcoin. I use unique means to spend but I do not use this bitcoin to spend. Because there will come a time when people will be able to buy this bitcoin And many have said that by 2021 the price of bitcoin will exceed one million dollars so I am not spending more on this bitcoin.
I am also positively looking for bitcoin to reach that price and that would be really make us earn huge money, maybe by that time mass adaption already happened.
If we can make holding a habit, that was so easy for sure but the truth is that we can be all persistent to hold, it sometimes we got tempted especially when the price reaches its new ATH. Well, I am going to admit that I'd never long for a long time, maybe months but not years because just like you, in many circumstances that we can spend our Bitcoin even we don't like it. It is probably we don't have any option and I think holding never make sense if in ourselves we suffer a lot.
2315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Technical Analysis? on: October 22, 2021, 01:14:07 PM
Do you use technical analysis when you trade bitcoin?
If yes, what are the best strategies? Bitcoin is so volatile now.
Yes I use technical analysis but for now any strategy you deploy for the bullish run is relevant. No analysis is 100% accurate but the core concerntration is buying from each time a new support forms ensuring you time the breakout quite early take profit on the third candle while you wait for another breakout making your chat look too complicated now isn't relevant since the chat is on a bull run
right, none of the strategies achieve 100% accuracy. we must be able to respond to it in order to always survive in the market. therefore we must know how to use our strategy, so that when the market does not support us we do not force to enter the market or vice versa, because sometimes our psychology is disturbed
Versatility is very important in trading and that is why we don't have to stick to a single strategy, if it is a need to switch to others we leave no option but to do it ASAP. Having technical analysis is helping is to become well-prepared and can anticipate the incoming.
Anyways, we all have different strategies, the success of our trading journey is not all about Technical analysis but it matters a lot on how we respond to every situation we've faced.

Selling ebooks is another example. 99.9% of the time the information you'll get from those books is bullshit. If the information had any value, he wouldn't sell it.

This could be true, but somehow an ebook would teach us how to manage ourself in gambling, actually bankroll management and discipline are both very important, winning a bet is quite different, it cannot be written in the book that is up to a gambler's ability to analyze the game before putting a bet and win.

I believe that reading a book can be helpful for people who are getting in touch with something for the first time... I didn't read any books, all that I learned came from people who were doing it, and in discussions with them and practicing I learned about gambling! And I think it's a better way, and a lot easier to understand! As Mindrust says "99.9% of the time the information you'll get from those books is bullshit." This is because you need a piece of simple information, but a book writer needs a whole book, so he is using long and complicated sentences, he is decorating everything he can... so reading it you can get lost in all the unnecessary stuff!

That's why I don't read ebook as it's time consuming, I'm actually more attracted to reading a random posts like in a forum as I know they are more genuine and they share according to their experience. I have a lot of forums that I follow that's why I learn about sports betting, terms like sports rigging, line movement and trap, these are only few you'll learn from people who are experience enough in sports betting.
2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 22, 2021, 11:37:17 AM
Wow. Steph was on fire tonight. Putting up 45 and 10 in a 2 point win against the Clippers. Warriors not wasting any time showing the Los Angeles teams who is boss. Curry looking like a scoring champ out there already this season. I’m surprised how well they’re doing and anxious to see how they look once Klay Thompson gets himself back in the lineup.
Sad on my part as I bet on the Clippers but those deep 3's of Curry are total dope plus some contribution of Poole and Wiggins. It was a huge lead imo by the end of the first half but the Clippers definitely get a hold of it and they even got the lead by the third quarter. Curry was just unstoppable even if there's some defender at his face, looks like they'll improve this time compare to the previous season.

Actually, Wiggins is back to being the inconsistent player. He made a big mess at that fourth quarter run of the GSW. Missed pass, a lot of missed shots that are not contested and losing his guarded player.
Poole was the most reliable whenever Steph is resting and paired with Damion Lee their offensive attacks are in a higher level.
Fun interview with Draymond Green when asked if he is still excited when Curry scores like this at 45 points, he said "No". "It's still amazing though."
Steph's deep threes made me cheer at the top of my lungs fueled by my bet on the line.  Cheesy
Curry is a very confident player, his signature is when he shoots the ball he just turn around as he knows the ball will sink in, it's the talent that other 3 point shooters do not have. it's fun to watch Curry healthy and making the GSW an exciting team again, so I will continue to support and of course bet on them as I like their chemistry.

2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 22, 2021, 05:33:06 AM
^ Yes and I think Casimero understands that, so he took the fight even with a small paycheck because a win here could bring him a lucrative payday against Inoue.
He took the fight because he has no choice, that's the reality.
If he will not fight for this mandatory match, he will have to give up his belt and he will no longer be a champion.

So I don't understand why people says the deserves more in this fight, this is mandatory, so it's under the governing rule of WBO even the purse of $100k. So there's nothing shady about it, just that we are surprised by the amount of money, but in any case still good in the pocket for Casimero.
He deserves a better amount of money to receive, it's just that the bid is too low and no one bids higher than the initial bid so the total pot is just very small. Some mandatory fights I think even have a million-dollar pot or more.
2320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Strategies changes with time on: October 21, 2021, 10:00:32 PM
I am not against the use of intuition as it is known that humans can take decisions in a split of a second with more accuracy than even computers which are calculating many factors during that time, the problem is that many people only use intuition and they do so when they are newbies, intuition develops over the years and as you get experience, so it is my opinion that a newbie trader should rely 100% on their strategy while an experimented trader can make use of some of his intuition from time to time.

Good point as a beginner it's a good practice to work with your own strategy, you will learn a lot if you seek for deeper knowledge even those losing position will have a good value to keep improving your skills, along the way you'll be able to established good patterns that will allow you to have a better chances of making a winning trade.

Changes from each strategy depends from the situation. Adjustment can be done to follow the concept of making good system to continue
moving upwards and create more working strategy.
The more we got into actual trading, the more gained learnings, and it was far when we just read and watched tutorials. Making our own strategy makes us more knowledgeable and a way that we need to explore the market gathering ideas. It become natural to change or diversify our strategies due to the market volatility and it was a need for us traders to adopt or adjust to the said changes otherwise, we got left behind and lose our trades.
