Atletico Madrid didn't have a very surprising day. We have all known them about how bad they perform for so many weeks. This didn't change against Almeria as well today. I didn't understand Reguilon too. He just entered the game in the 67th minute and got two yellows in a short time after. I'm sure he will be warned after making a very simple mistake like this.

But without the red card Atletico Madrid wouldn't still win this game. They were still dealing with the same issues. They need to be better at finishing up the attacks with goals. Scoring only one goal in such games isn't acceptable considering their potential.

I also agree that 100 million euros is not an incredible amount of money for transfers anymore. It is not a big deal for rich teams as well. Maybe not all of those players deserve this much money for their transfer fee but the current transfer market is like this. There is nothing to do about it.

I hope that Mudryk manages to meet the expectations. He has been signed with big hopes for sure. Chelsea just do their best to improve their productivity as for scoring goals. They are still having problems on scoring multiple goals in a game. It happened against C. Palace as well.

Let's see what Lazio will do tomorrow. There is a good opportunity for them as well to get closer to Milan and Juventus in the standings but they can just maintain the gap with Inter. It is still worth of course as long as they beat Sassuolo away. Even though Sassuolo aren't having a good season and they haven't got a win for many weeks, Lazio still have a quite big odd for their win.

Maybe the reason could be their latest head-to-head games. Because Lazio lost their last two head-to-head games in Sassuolo's stadium. Still I will be hoping to see Lazio beating them this time. They also haven't got a win for three weeks therefore I think this will be the end of the bad series.

It is said that Chelsea have signed Mudryk on a 100 million euro deal. Chelsea are just doing everything they can to strengthen their attacking line. This is another striker transfer and I hope they will stop making transfers for the same position from now on. They are going to spend a lot of money on this transfer so they should look for strengthening other positions if they want.

By the way they have a Crystal Palace game tomorrow and I expect a win from Chelsea finally. They should start from somewhere if they want to improve.

Maybe things would have been different for Athletic Bilbao if Alvarez didn't get that red card. That was just the end of their hopes as they conceded the third goal by a penalty right after it.

The first half wasn't completely one-sided honestly. Athletic Bilbao still had hope for keeping up with their opponent. This is their third game in a row that they don't get a win. Real Sociedad have got their fourth win in a row at the same time. Their form is very impressive and I wonder how long they will be able to keep this up. For now they are one of the biggest candidates to quality for the Champions League.

Galatasaray are still maintaining a very impressive performance in the league. Their performance against Hatayspor was a solid one and it reflected on the score as well. It was a completely one-sided game and Mata was one of the great players of the game by scoring two goals. Galatasaray have such a strong offensive power that they are really hard to stop now.

If Fenerbahce don't win against Gaziantep tomorrow then things can be really problematic for them. Because the gap is already seven points for now.

Marseille continue to win in the league. With this victory they have made their winning streak six games now and they haven't been losing a game for seven weeks as well. Their performance against Lorient today was really lovely. Especially the first half was very impressive for them. Lorient tried to balance the game in the second half but Marseille still managed to score two more goals and finished them off by 3-1.

This wasn't a very easy game for them normally because Lorient are one of the decent teams of the season now. After stealing a point from Monaco, Marseille needed to be careful. They really did it and just played their usual game.

Sevilla are in a horrible condition as usual. The Getafe win seemed like a hope for them but it looks like nothing has changed at all.

Girona were so comfortable against them and they could have even won by a bigger goal gap. Sevilla are just too bad at defending now. Girona's winning goal also came due to a defensive mistake as you know. I really don't understand what this team need to do to pull themselves together completely. Weeks are coming and going but Sevilla are still near the relegation zone now. This squad don't deserve this fate and I hope Sampaoli finds a way sooner or later.

Milan were another surprising team today by the result they got. Lecce even got ahead by 2-0 first and shocked me. I knew that Milan defense wasn't in a good shape but this was still too much in my opinion.

They could have lost this game easily if they faced a tougher opponent. They just can't go on like this if they want to retain their title. However I don't think they have much chance to do this from now on. Because the gap is nine points with Napoli now and it looks very difficult to stop Napoli from now on. Napoli proved this by crushing Juventus by a huge score.

The Red Devils really knew what they were doing today. Even though Manchester City managed to score first Manchester United made an insane comeback. This isn't an easy job to do against a team like Manchester City. One of the goals was debatable but I think the call was right. Because the player who was offside didn't touch the ball despite running for it.

This win was very important for Manchester United. Because they are right behind Manchester City now. If Arsenal also lose points this week will completely be great for the Red Devils.

Villarreal should consider themselves lucky for getting one point in this game. Because they were very bad interestingly. They had only 3 goal attempts and 1 one of them was on target which ended up with a goal. Celta Vigo dominated the game with so many attempts to score goals. But they had a very unlucky day that they were able to score only once.

I wonder what the reason behind about Villarreal's being this much bad. Because they seemed pretty solid against Real Madrid the last time and they even won that game.

Despite the statistics Aston Villa didn't have much difficulty in winning this game by 2-1. They got 2-0 ahead first and Leeds found their only goal quite late in the game. Leeds had even more goal attempts than their opponent but they were very bad at finding the target as well. Emery is still continuing to do a good job with Aston Villa.

If they go on like this they can finish the season in top 10 as well which would be amazing for the team. I don't think they would get much close to the 5th position for the Europa League ticket.

I don't know what to say about this result honestly. The first half ended 2-1 and I was still thinking like Juventus wouldn't give up too easy. However the second half was horrible for them. Napoli simply demolished them by scoring three more goals. How can this game end up with a 5-1 loss for Juventus? Yeah maybe they have some important players missing but this score is still unacceptable.

They had a great winning streak despite the losses in the end. They should have been motivated to play solidly against Napoli here. Napoli are just continuing from where they left.

The game between Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao can also be quite interesting. These teams both have made a good start to the season. Real Sociedad are in a better shape though as they are six points ahead in the standings. It is because of last couple of weeks as Real Sociedad are on a winning streak of three games. This streak would be an extra motivation for them here.

However their last two head-to-head games ended up with 1-1 draws. The odds are also indicating that this could be another competitive game. But this time I think Real Sociedad will make it to the win by a slight gap.

Aston Villa are favoured against Leeds maybe but I'm not fully trusting them honestly. Leeds have a decent history against them considering the head-to-head games. In this season things aren't much different for these teams as well. There is only a five-point gap between them in the standings. Aston Villa are just ahead by a small gap in my opinion.

I expect that to reflect on the result of this game as well. Aston Villa can win this by one goal in my opinion. I expect both teams to score at the same time.

Inter shouldn't have much difficulty this week. Verona are one of the weakest teams in the league currently. This is a free win for Inter. They are currently one of the best teams in home games with only one loss so far. Verona don't have even one win in away games. Besides Inter have a very solid history in head-to-head home games against Verona. They beat Verona like all the time in the recent years.

Depending on the result of Napoli - Juventus game they can catch up with at least one of them a little more by this week.

I think the first three teams of top 4 are going to be Bayern Munich, Freiburg and Leipzig at the end of the season. Because they have had a really reliable form for a long time and it looks like they won't give up on their Champions League tickets that easy. I should even exclude Bayern Munich from those two because they are already far stronger from them and will make it to the league title as usual.

When it comes to the fourth member of top 4 I hope Dortmund make it there. Because they haven't been much good for weeks. This break should help them pull themselves together and fight harder.

I think Marseille are more likely than Lens to finish the season at the second position in the standings. The point gap is quite close now and I won't be surprised if Marseille get ahead of them in the near future. Marseille have a much better squad before anything else. They are able to show this by their performance these days as well. They are still on a nice winning streak.

Lens still beat them by 1-0 away before though but I think the scenario could be different when they play against each other again. Marseille have a really good team effort now and the Troyes game was one of the good examples for it.

Such an unfortunate start for Joao Felix. He was in the starting eleven directly and he wasn't performing badly until the red card as well. But that red card changed everything about him of course. Because it cost Chelsea three points. Fulham weren't a weak team in the end therefore they benefited from the opportunity and beat them 2-1.

Chelsea are still unable to maintain a good form no matter what they do these days. This was a tough game maybe but it was still winnable for them.

It was a hard-fought win by Barcelona honestly. I was waiting for Betis not to yield that easy and that was exactly the thing happened. They carried the game to penalties even though Barcelona got ahead once again in extra time. Betis were just bad in penalties and lost it by 4-2. Juanmi and Carvalho missed their penalties.

Still Betis must be contented with their performance. They were just unlucky to play against Barcelona as there was a big strength difference on paper. Now we are going to see a finale between Barcelona and Real Madrid in only two days.
