3361  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [03-12-2015] China now Controls Bitcoin - CryptoCoinsNews.com on: March 13, 2015, 11:19:37 PM
Don't quite agree with this... even tough 51% of the hashrate is, or seems to be based there, this doesn't necessarily mean they control Bitcoin. If they wanted to hard fork it, or direction the blockchain in a way convenient to them, they would be damaging the Bitcoin ecosystem, damaging themselves in the process.

So it's not that linear... I don't think anyone will ever be able to "control" Bitcoin Smiley

control of bitcoin is relatively easy, it's been proven numerous times.   In fact, one major pool in the UK purposely chose to limit the size of their pool so as to NOT be in a controlling position.

I understand your point, but the question here is: If you have the power to change the course of something, but choose not to interfere in any way, are you in control of that thing? Smiley

Never heard about this before... It's actually quite a good idea Smiley

I've heard other people talk about rigs in space, just for laughs... Looks like it really isn't feasible Cheesy But the blockchain up there... Amazing Smiley

3364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this bad or good news? on: March 13, 2015, 07:03:30 PM
It's neither good or bad, it's whatever. If they're going to make a coin, somebody with time and coins is going to screw them over and turn it into a pump and dump scheme. At least I hope someone does if the feds create a coin. It would be worth 0 satoshi in no time Cheesy
3365  Local / Portugal / Exchanges on: March 13, 2015, 02:46:42 PM

TOP2 is still on github Smiley https://github.com/cloudstick/TopCoin2
3367  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptosteel: The Ultimate Cold Wallet Private Key Storage System on: March 12, 2015, 07:14:01 PM
Hope you guys start shipping soon Smiley You're asking for donations, but I don't see how much you really need to complete your goal... Also, will people who donate above average have any special perks? Smiley
3368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guard your Bitcoin with Stainless Steel Cold Storage on: March 12, 2015, 07:09:58 PM
This simply looks amazing. I've been looking for a particularly remarkable physical wallet since Woodwallets stopped operating and I think I've found it!

This is very original, and it's an amazing way to store a private key, no doubts about that. Looking forward to its release.
3369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOTO] Motocoin on: March 12, 2015, 11:33:03 AM
HMC seems absent, but I have a feeling he will return... And good news in being added on the exchange! Smiley
3370  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-10] IBtimes: Bitcoin price rallies as secretive startup 21 receives... on: March 11, 2015, 08:14:28 PM
I wonder what these guys are going to do... I'll definitely follow them in near future. I hope it's something related to Bitcoin ATM's, or a serious exchange Smiley

3373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three Unnamed Bidders Win Latest US Marshals Bitcoin Auction on: March 11, 2015, 10:20:35 AM
Pretty concerning that two bidders still remain anonymous... But since this is quite a large quantity of BTC, and it wasn't bought under market prices makes me believe the buyers will hold on to their coins.

Payment received on the exchange!!!
Happy to heard that  Wink and will post after a while list of next users to be paid .

So I presume that I will receive the payment tomorrow (due my second registration)? Can you confirm my thought, thanks.
Yep you will be paid tomorrow !

So everyone that was on that list will be paid tomorrow?
I was on that list but received a pm from the bot on march 3rd saying I joined. IM CONFUSED..

Have you re-enrolled again (using the site : http://bitsig.website/beta/)? If the reply is "no" , it is normal. The bot has counted your first day "the 3 of March).

Ps: I suppose, I don't know how the bot works.

I was never "disenrolled" to begin with. So no, I couldn't reenrol. That's what's strange

Payment received on the exchange!!!

Oh great, I am happy for you.

Payment received on the exchange!!!

Nothing here, yet Smiley

The same here, maybe the problem is that I am registered again for the second time due to this bug : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877765.msg10651417#msg10651417

That's odd, I don't come to this thread often, and haven't read about that. Everything is normal on the bot page, my posts are being counted correctly as far as I can see (I check the bot page regularly), but looks like I was affected by the bug?

What should I do now?

Weren't they making a coin of their own? Wasn't expecting this at all, I thought they would simply add their coin to their store... Smiley
3379  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 03-09-2015 Bitcoin Malware CryptoLocker Infects 200 University Of Amsterdam Comp on: March 10, 2015, 09:20:58 PM
The question is... How did this spread to an University network? I take for granted that an University network is protected by several systems that scan incoming files. At least that's what I'm used to from my University years...
3380  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ANN] breadwallet, first bitcoin network client for iOS, first BIP32 SPV client on: March 10, 2015, 11:37:45 AM
voisine, do you plan on making any kind of Apple Watch implementation of breadwallet? It would be pretty nice to display QR codes on the Watch Smiley
