Android Watch as crypto storage? It isn't actually a bad idea... The only downside I see is someone trapping you and forcing you to give the passcode to the Watch and/or the private keys

Bitcoin is nothing like equities so they can't be compared and this is part of the problem with talking to people about them, they're trying so hard to compare it to things that they already know and don't realise this is a brand new technology.
Came here to post exactly this. People do not seem to understand that both are almost opposites and there's no crystal ball. Looks like Forbes is trying to make people believe there are crystal balls

These kinds of news makes me remember those that appeared a few months ago about an agency on the Phillipines and China (if I'm not mistaken) that sends funds between countries for a minimal fee, to aid immigrants. These kinds of services are massively useful and should be everywhere. Bitcoin allows these people to save a lot of money in transacting fees. Bitcoin would change these people's lives for the better, in many ways, it would affect them profoundly. I hope services like the one I referred start appearing around

I really think there should be per-computer sessions. Its annoying I have to find my phone every time I want to login. Maybe once a week reset the 2fa, but if its on the same computer and the same IP, it gets kind of annoying.
You can set a timeout for your session on the settings page

I might be interested if you consider something under 25€/piece. I am based in EU.

hmm, no Luck pywallet always tells me to quit bitcoin:
C:\New>D:\Python27\python.exe C:\New\pywallet.py --datadir C:\\New --dumpwallet ERROR:root:Couldn't open wallet.dat/main. Try quitting Bitcoin and running this again.
but there is no Bitcoin installed on this PC.
Pretty strange, do you have your wallet on the default folder? That's where pywallet scans for files. Create a Bitcoin folder on %appdata% and put the wallet.dat there.

Yes, probably on the top 3, and I bet it is for most people here. Nowadays you can't go far if you don't have a few thousand bucks, unfortunately.

Some of you have dream electricity costs around this thread, but lately I'm seeing quite high prices. Not feeling all that bad after all haha About 0.22$/kWh here.

Not even a in game currency it is just game time, it's a month of wow access you can buy and trade for gold. It won't be the basis of the economy or will it be accepted on the auction house. It is a way to buy gold from one player and the other get wow time saving them 15 bucks.
So basically marketing at it's finest, I guess No, but it would be nice if more game companies took Bitcoin.
I agree with you on that... I'd love to see Steam accepting Bitcoin on the store

Has the list of the people who ended up winning the auction out yet ?
Apparently that information will come out in two weeks. Unless the person who won says he won earlier

While Apple is getting a little softer towards allowing Bitcoin related apps in their store, I think at some point they will clean up quite a bit of these apps with the reasons being "violation of rules"
Which I hope of course not to happen. Why can't Apple just be more open and at some point even allow people to pay with Bitcoin in their app store. Perhaps wishful thinking?
Probably some cleanup will happen at some point in time, with the less used apps. I don't think that's too bad... Lots of trash in the App Store. They won't allow Bitcoin in the near future. They love their mega profits too much, they aren't up to "rolling" with the markets and possibly taking losses. Maybe, people should jailbreak their phones and head over to apps like Cydia to download these new bitcoin apps without any problem.
I don't know what apps are you referring to, but in my point of view, jailbreaking does not solve any Bitcoin user's problem on iOS. In fact, it even introduces the user to a new set of problems, mainly privacy related ones (have you ever wondered why the developer of breadwallet warns against installing his app on jailbroken devices? Have you ever wondered why was breadwallet only compatible with an iOS version that has no jailbreaking method?) As for the news, Abra reminds me a bit of Mycelium local trader (which isn't avaliable on Mycelium for iOS last time I checked) and Wiper seems pretty good for beginners

This seems like a really cool idea, but I'm not getting how they want to implement this.
One thing is writing an article and putting it's original file hash on the blockchain, a hash that can be verifiable, and if it doesn't match you know you haven't got the original file. But medicines have no hashes... Even if one used their barcodes for hash verification, you can easily replicate a valid barcode and put it in all counterfeit medicine (unless they found a way to make the hash verifiable only once).
Am I missing something here? Their website has nothing beyond a login form and the news article doesn't really say much.

You can use a tool like pywallet to "scan" for addresses and private keys inside the wallet. That way you'll know to which coin they belong to
|
|
|
That's to be expected. You can easily get there nowadays and "troll" many people and newbies in general. People going there want to believe and want others to make them believe, they are susceptible in falling in such scams, and people trying to get a quick buck take advantage of it.

Well I'm just glad that the bid of 17% under market price didn't win ANY of the lots.
According to bitcoinwisdom tools if a company were to buy the coins at market price for 4 lots, total of 12,000 coins the market price would reach $300. So hopefully the coins were bought at or above market price to avoid the price creep if they got them in the market.
I'm not seeing any coins being taken at under 5% market price... Everyone wants to outbid everyone and the competition won't make them cheap coins
|
|
|
Not a bad idea to have other names bidding and winning all those Bitcoins Has the winner been announced, meanwhile?

Still no luck setting up amodem. Anyone tried it? What's the best frequency?

To be a whale, you'd need 5 digit sums of BTC at least... But also lots of time and patience (to handle bigger whales than you)
