341  Other / Meta / Re: My 100 days on Bitcointalk on: December 27, 2019, 12:42:10 PM
Seeing some pretty advanced time spent online on Bitcointalk and I am beginning to feel like I still have a very long way to go to meet the standard of any of you.
342  Other / Meta / Re: FREE MERIT COME FAST BEFORE I RUN OUT [Happy Holidays] on: December 27, 2019, 11:15:13 AM
Wow, Suchmoon finally gave more than 4 merits to a single post.  Grin

This forum celebrated it's 10th Birthday this year and this happens to be the 10th Christmas that this forum is celebrating.
So I wish everybody here a Merry Christmas and x10 increase in all the coins in their portfolio especially Bitcoin.
343  Other / Meta / Re: What if Theymos added new Rank after Legendary? on: December 27, 2019, 11:11:43 AM
This is good idea. I have any good recommended for the name of next rank after Legendary .

STAR Legendary : i think this rank only for the 10 Top Legendary with the highes merit.
And eventually, other people would reach that rank where they attained to get that rank and they would start feeling cheated if they don't attain the rank too and before you know it, it would be over 10 members with that rank and the madness continues.. I think the forum ranks are perfect the way it is, the Legendary members has reached the highest rank they could possibly attain here and they know it, while the rest of us are fighting to reach there.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Holiday Merits] - Post Your Favorite Altcoin Post of 2019 on: December 27, 2019, 09:32:04 AM
This post is one of the best I have seen so far this year because one of the worst things that can happen to a member of this forum is to get a red trust especially for something that could have been easily avoided, so this post by Coysterteaches people things to do to avoid getting the much dreaded red trust in their accounts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5212103

You might want to take a look at the comments section as well because there are also some good comments there that might deserve some Christmas gifts as well.

This other post is about how to avoid scammers in this forum, some members here tend to trust high ranking accounts and would trust them in any financial deals, so this post teaches people some red flags to look out for because not all high ranking accounts are really genuine: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204739.0
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Just Had A Field Day on Nuls. $480k Worth Token Stolen on: December 25, 2019, 10:57:40 PM
Yet another hack incident to add to the list of hack cases in 2019, this year has been an awesome one for hackers and a bad one for investors, the two major exchanges that were hacked refunded their users the tokens they lost but these individual project hacks is usually the most devastating because the hackers would dump the token price in most cases and it would take a lot of time for the price to recover, if it ever does.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking vs. mining altcoins on: December 25, 2019, 10:54:08 PM
Depends on your location, I could remember reading an article about how the Chinese government confiscated some "illegal" miners numbering in thousands, this would never have been an issue if it was just staking, but staking has it's own downside as well, imagine staking a token when the token is high and at the end of the staking period and the token price becomes very low, you might end up not getting any profit or you could possibly even lose your funds, each has it's upsides and downsides.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just earned my first 9$ in Bitcoin Cash, how can I grow it? on: December 25, 2019, 10:50:58 PM
Just $9? You should probably just save it in a wallet and keep the private keys in a safe place, open the wallet in a decade and hope that Bitcoincash price has reached $10,000 so that you could multiply your money, or you could convert to BTC and do the same process although I wouldn't advice that since the withdrawal fee in exchanges would collect like half of the funds, that is seriously the only logical investment I could think of right now with such a little amount of money, you should probably keep doing whatever you did to earn that, maybe you could earn more and then there would be a lot more things to do with the increased funds.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My New Year Resolution For Bitcointalk on: December 25, 2019, 10:46:10 PM
2. We can see the reputation of each bounty manager. Simply choose bounty managers with green-trust accounts and avoid/ignore managers with red-trust accounts.
Some managers with red trust accounts got those red trust for issues not related to bounties and some of them turned out to bring good projects such as Sessia although I advice you should do your due diligence on any project before promoting it, if you feel in your heart of hearts that it's a promising project, then by all means promote it, I personally do not look at bounty managers, I look at the campaign although I have to admit that I have some BMs that I prefer like Julerz12 and Jolin.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: December 25, 2019, 10:39:55 PM
You forgot to mention one of the most dangerous.. FOMO.
People tend to jump into any investment opportunity when it is hyped beyond the normal, even people who you know as experienced in the space starts investing in Ponzi scams just because it has been shilled aggressively online and many of them are now thinking they would be missing a lot of profit if they don't join the bandwagon, you might have the whole knowledge in the world, be the most experienced but if you don't control this particular urge, you would still fall victim.to scams.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: December 25, 2019, 10:34:55 PM
The only preparation I made for the upcoming year is to stock up on more bitcoin and Ethereum, I kept half of all the Bitcoin I have earned so Far and also converted some amount from it into Ethereum, I believe that 2020 would be the year we have all been waiting for, the year when the alt season would finally come and the year when all the sensible coins in the market would make some people very rich.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: December 25, 2019, 10:32:29 PM
If nothing else, this post just proves how resilient Bitcoin can be, it lost it's $7k support glory that day but presently, it's still cruising above $7k and hasn't broken that support in days, Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies in general are here to stay and we shouldn't panic when we see the price dip below what it used to be, it's perfectly normal in his space because Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference? on: December 25, 2019, 10:11:21 PM
Just take a look at what the Chinese Government is doing right now, taking every opportunity to restrict the activities of most Cryptocurrency projects and even going as Fara s banning bitcoin mining rigs and all these are after they have announced their interest in launching their own Cryptocurrency, I believe all these activities and lockdown of other Cryptocurrency projects is to shift the focus fully on their own Cryptocurrency when it launches and I am seriously beginning to doubt if it would have any element of decentralisation at all.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 25, 2019, 10:06:17 PM
While I believe in free speech, I personally think that such speculations are not based on reality at all because the reality is that Ethereum happens to be one of the best functioning blockchains out there a Nd while it has passed through some hard times when the network was congested in the past and people had to pay very high transaction fee, it is far from being finished as the Ethereum fanbase is growing day by day, Ethereum has not realised it's full potential yet and when it does, nothing can take it's price down.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: December 25, 2019, 10:00:34 PM
I think that good projects has come and it's just that you didn't notice, for example the EOS Blockchain came and most d'Apps on Ethereum Blockchain decided to move there but it turned out not to be the saviour that it initially looked like but some other side chains has been built in it that seems to be more resilient and one of them.is the WAX chain, I really don't know if it would stand the test of time but only time would tell.. but there are definitely good projects out there although not as good as ETH, Ethereum is on a class of it's own.

356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making money through DEX fee's. The next big thing? on: November 26, 2019, 04:59:59 AM
Many are called but few are chosen, it might look glorious from the outside but when you take the time to calculate the DEXs that has launched and failed or are just dormant, you would know that it's not easy at all, one of the major challenges is users, the market conditions are making new traders quit and the old traders are set in their ways, having already found the exchange that they think is right for them, so they wouldn't leave it to come trade in a new DEX.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think crypto world needs... on: November 26, 2019, 04:56:57 AM
The Cryptocurrency world needs more supporters, you remember what happened in 2017 when people flooded into Cryptocurrencies? This is exactly what would happen again when more people get in, for example did you know that less than 4% of the world's population is involved in Cryptocurrencies?so imagine if this percentage is gradually increased to 50% in the space of a year? Not only would more supporters come in, more institutional investors would come in, Cryptocurrencies would get much more recognition and ofcourse, the geeks who might just build the perfect Altcoin would also pick interest in Blockchain.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think altcoins will be used for in the future. on: November 26, 2019, 04:51:11 AM
I think Altcoins has a very bright future as the main means of Cryptocurrency payments, let's face it, we Bitcoin Enthusiasts like to bash Altcoins just for existing but we have to admit that bitcoin just doesn't have the scalability for worldwide adoption unless a miracle solution would be forthcoming in the future, so it would likely be an Altcoin that would end up being the main currency if the future for cryptocurrency payments, we might not be seeing it now, but this space is full of surprises, who new that the Chinese Government would suddenly pick an interest in Cryptocurrencies and want to build their own? But here it is happening.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why do you participant in Airdrops? on: November 26, 2019, 04:45:22 AM
Since I started earning Cryptocurrencies with Airdrops and bounties instead of mining, Airdrops has given me way more profits than bounties and even though I know that it isn't what it used to be anymore, I still do it because nobody really knows the airdrop that would pay them best next, I remember the days of Polymath, Hydro, Equal, Rebellious, Cortex and many others, these are Airdrops that earned me a lot of money and there are some that I cannot even remember, the glory days seems gone but all hope is not lost just yet, any huge money maker might still show up unexpectedly.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: November 25, 2019, 06:32:37 PM
Asking if BNB would be the king of all coins is like asking if Litecoin would be the king of exchange coins, CZ made it clear when the Binance Blockchain was launched that it wasn't in competition with other blockchains because it is just a basic blockchain built mainly for the exchange and doesn't even have smart contracts built in, so I fail to see how it would be the main coin of the future when it's not built for that purpose.
