341  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra Update: Engineering and Production status on: February 17, 2014, 01:50:09 PM
i completely agree with you, antminer is for people who want to buy something thats obsolete quickly and uses too much power, and takes up a too much space, and will require more hassle and wiring up power supplies, and is dangerous if used in a home environment because its not certified or approved for use.  ant miner is for hobbyists who don't mind having bare boards exposed, and power supply wires dangling.

This is why I love reading this forum. You fanbois are quite humorous. 2100 watts, requires a extension cord from another circuit in another part of the house to be dragged across the floor to power the unit. Home use? LOL! I'll chose "obsolute" hardware that makes a profit over a pretty box that doesn't, any day of the week.

One small note. aerobatic isn't a simple fanboi, he is an ivestor.

Ahhh...perhaps that explains his mysterious need to demean anything not CT.

aerobic I never said any kind of customer WASN'T anything...that is the dreamworld that YOU seem to be living in.  I'll tell you what I'll make it really simple for you...

Let's have a hashing race TODAY.  I will put up my antminer vs. your CoinTerra.
WHO WINS THE RACE?
My 2.5TH/s of ants with a few literally on top of a knc jupiter make 3TH/s today.....really wish I had believed more in cointerra and got one of those too....maybe next time.

Go Cointerra, good to see another asic miner manuf., specially here in the USA, and Texas, even better. Don't mess with tex

that sucks...lots of scams lately.
343  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: GRIDSEED Group Buy on: February 17, 2014, 10:04:20 AM
well, since this is still in the prelim. stage, then I tentatively would consider 15 units plus 1 controller....but should a better deal or similar priced group buy come together first by a trusted member, then I am on it....

I haven't counted the amount were up to, but it seems like this is the right price, and will happen @ 200 units no prob.
344  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed - Group Buy]Dualminer USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner $85 [USA Only][Batch #2] on: February 16, 2014, 08:58:27 PM
I think I read somewhere someone mention something about....'you don't ship to the usa?'....glitch or something.

maybe phinneaus (the guy w/ spinning brain avatar) is trying to tell us something??
345  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 16, 2014, 03:31:54 PM
Same thing happened to me. I had everything ready and ordered got the 1 I wanted 2 days ago, to later find out it's not shipping till the 28th. Not too happy about that. Still happy I got one not the less but wish it would have showed up in the purchase cart the expected delivery date. Not trying to complain or anything but with the site being so slow with these time sensitive buys, I had kept logged in and just refreshed the product page not seeing the main page. 2 weeks is a long time but with that being said it's not too bad like BFL and nice to have another ant coming.

You are within your rights to complain if you ordered one yesterday or the day before when they were making claims of it shipping within 2 days. They should extend some type of coupon to you to cover for their blunder.
a day or 2 it said out of stock....
346  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 16, 2014, 03:31:18 PM
lets not all forget that bitmain has surprised and shipped early too.

maybe another couple senior members we could ask to escrow if seeds would allow...these are solid rocks here on btctalk
canaryinthemine
silentsonicboom
crazyguy

there are a few others but these are solid resellers of hardware....maybe one of them or some would do it for a tip or small fee?

seeds....need your input....your escrow doesn't have much trust....the guys above do.

I hear that, I would trust the above also.

I have a problem with ALL of us just trusting a FEW members, We are dealing with a trust based commodity and need to develop our own circles of trust, This (IMO) reduces risk and pressure (the mighty have been known to fall)

I agree my trust is not close to the "big boys" But would everyone rather no choice at all?
i think everyone would prefer this to be legit, and no one loses their coin.
Seems like there are others starting to offer this as well....up to seeds how it goes for him and for those that choose to trust him.

I would be willing to send my shipping costs for 10 units with C.O.D., and the rest of course upon confirmed delivery of the product....maybe he needs to do one or two of those to impartial members interested in this group buy....nothing against you personally squall but right now you can't be too careful and being that he chose you, it naturally make you look suspect....
check the shenanigans on this GROUP SCAM  to see that you don't know who is who.....

348  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [In stock] Gridseed 5-chips USB miner - $259 on: February 16, 2014, 09:35:24 AM
No problem, Start creating a pre-order list, (make sure my 10 are in  Roll Eyes ) Then PM me with everyone's order, I will PM and start gathering payments, I will be able to keep you informed of everyone's payment status, Dont send unless I confirm their payment received, I will release the funds to you as people confirm their order as arrived.

NOTE - you need to tell the customer (and me) the BTC amount it confirms to to avoid confusion of payment arguments.

If this is too complicated for you, PM me the cost of shipping and unit costs, I will do a group buy backed by your units, All you have to do is send them out to addresses I provide and then get paid.

I'll be collecting the orders from now on.

And this means? You sentences are short and don't make much sense, Are you now not doing escrow?

I mean I will collect the orders and send to you to process the escrow.

OK, confirmed, Just so we know where we are.

NOTE TO EVERYONE - Please deal directly with seeds for your order and any questions, I will contact you when seeds has passed the information for those wanting escrow, The amount to be paid has to be confirmed with seeds.

Also note, I am not charging and never will for escrow, If you feel I have been useful feel free to tip my address in my profile.

Ok so...After just getting scammed yet again in the last couple days (1.1btc to that  AvalonShenzhen 3rd batch 210gh scam) I'm not ready just yet to throw away more money to an 'escrow' hero member who...at least with my default trust settings...HAS ZERO TRUST!!

sorry squall1066 you could be the most honest guy or a scammer who knows how to sweet talk posts....I'm not ready to find out.

Op, if you get John K to escrow...I'm in...if HE screws me over, then this site is truely dead.

How about this... No escrow, No payment up front...You send DHL COD??
You send DHL 'Collect on Delivery' and then DHL itself is the middle man!!
You ship a brick...you get a brick back with a bill for return shipping.
You ship actual product...we pay DHL when we receive it, you get your money!!!
We cant steal from you either, no money, DHL ships it back to you.

What do you say?

I have no problem with your views, I have been scammed quite heavily in the past, It's not easy to find someone here we can truly trust, I did not realize I was sweet talking tho  Grin I just don't feel the need to swear/rant/rave about things, I say my peace, It's up to other people if they listen.

The DHL idea sounds interesting, Does opening the box before payment count as "delivered" tho? You might need to check with DHL if they will let the receiver rip open everything before paying.

As far as I know JohnK is a very demanded person and has been off for a few weeks, Come back, then is off again for another few weeks, It might be hard to get him.

hope this one isn't like the one I posted....I looked at it but my gut told me not to and I for once listened...this one HERE has me uneasy too...

JOHN K WHERE ARE YOU???
yep, that's the one that just got 1.1 from me.

Not meaning to hijack this thread and be off-topic...I really want to purchase at least 2 of these OP.
That is no hijacking because we are talking about this NEW thread with a NEW member posting this GROUP BUY, which has many comparisons to the thread that I posted. WE ARE ON TOPIC until this part of the thread no longer needs to be discussed, and we can talk about other stuff such as updates and overclocks..... for NOW, it is the authenticity of this thread that should foremost be discussed, unless people want to end up like the thread I posted, or the countless other shenanigans that can go on here....
Chinese fisherman looking to make shark fin soup, CHUM is in the water and the sharks are coming to feed......how does it end?

ps. I am in for 10 if I can get COD AS WELL. THX.

OR johnk

i dont even have enough btc right now to cover what your asking.. but i can cover the difference of what we paid in .107 to what is now $85

im sure most could.. i wonder if theres a way to lock in the purchase with dualminer at the price and just charge everyone whos on the list the difference of what was paid to 85 bucks.. if people back out im sure youd be able to flip the leftovers to sbfree or ebay them for $120

that is what $85 is right now.

Believe me if i had the coin i would of gotten them already.

Didn't someone earlier in the thread promise to buy the remaining?

Yea but I haven't heard from them since then.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I see it is there are two problems.

1 - You don't have enough orders to hit 300
2 - The btc you have is not worth what it was when you started accepting orders.

Is this the problem?
the problem here is that a bitcoin/crypto currency company/manufacturer doesn't take BITCOIN, they take US DOLLARS....otherwise the price of BTC to the us dollar wouldn't matter......

anyway, I been keeping my eye on the thread and btc price, but also been busy with my kids and family, something I don't get to do much.
at first i was thinking about another 4+ btc, emmm, wasn't gonna happen. I was considering taking less units to cover....
but with the price bouncing back some, and getting stronger it seems....now 1+ btc isn't as INSANE....
so lets hope to a better price tomorrow/monday.....
and if it stays at this price range, or better, I am in....if not I will have to think.
.02 per unit I can handle if that is what it comes down to x 66
Demon, I am in, but don't think I can handle any more units....I am off to family dinner....I will be back.

Side-note, with the Mtgox and bitstamp and several other exchanges stopping withdrawal.

Still a good time to mine?

Sure, with diff sky high and btc in the toilet, it's the BEST time to mine now. (/sarcasm)
IN THE TOILET??

it is more than double the price right on mt gox than when I started mining last april/may at $150....so I guess it depends on how you look at it.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 14, 2014, 01:43:18 PM
This thread is getting full of FUD posted by the same few accounts over and over again.  That leads me to believe that they are either shills for another manufacture or they couldn't afford to put money down on Neptunes but wish they could.  So they want KNC to underdeliver, and do bad, so that they feel better.  It's one thing to have a strong opinion and want to share it, but to keep spamming it and shout down anyone with a positive view just makes you a troll.  You know who you are and you can pipe down a bit now.  Then, if you are correct you can quote your post and gloat.  I can see why Orama doesn't want to post.  So far KNC has been the best bitcoin ASIC manufacture so far.  So I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt to deliver until proven otherwise.
matt, knc has delivered to their customers...but i think the problem is based on their motto....under promise over deliver, which for the client they mostly  have....but for their own pockets, it is starting to appear as Under promise OVER DELIVER into THEIR POCKETS......and yes I as a customer got what I purchased, but I believe all KNC CUSTOMERS hope that now that KNC has made it big....they don't forget those initial foolish risk takers that funded this ONE OF project....

I think that is what all the gripe is here......I still have my orders.....we shall see for how long......I have met half my order's hashing speed already on my own....NOW....TODAY!.....so I wonder about delivery time seeing the BTC I am producing currently.
354  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is your Mt Gox BTC Price Breaking Point ? on: February 14, 2014, 01:35:52 PM
