2 questions: why do topic still named 1.2.17 while github has a newer release 1.2.18? dev was very active before, sometimes releasing new versions every couple of days, now no commits in the github since Feb 18. Is there is a work on a bigger improvement requiring more time, or dev had lost some interest to this project (for me - project is great) or maybe further version will not be open source?
I saw something like 10000 lines of new code on github. Doesn't seem few to me. And test take time. The only thing I really would like to see short term its the implementation of V7 variant on Cryptonight before Monero will switch.

I've got another solution for you:
1) Overdrive 2) -r 300 at the end of your bat. It will restart each 4 hours
worked for me

I was thinking to make a rig of those, any of you have used latest 11.5 from Claymore ? I saw a jump on 550 hashrate, and I was wondering if the same things happened with tH 560

Doesn't work ( at all) with Baffin ( rx 460 2gb). It start, he probably compile the kernel, but when first jobs arrive, it say thread 1 & 2 not hashing)

DCR isn't profitable with GPU anymore, and a lot of pools are now open only to ASIC for that coin

I notice a little discussion with Hsrminer_HP.
Noob or not:
I know my GTX 1050 ti work fine at standard intensity with your software HSRMiner_HP because I have two rigs using it with Gainward 1050ti with no problem at all But I was trying to use Nplus in the smaller one and sometimes its needed to have a light OC otherwise results with some of the other algos were crap. As Nplus doesn't take care of that, I had to understand the intensity written in NPlus, see what the normal one was suggested by the developer (16.1 Btw) for the GTX 1050ti and modify your script trying to find a balance with the intensity.
And this exactly is what I did.
NO WAY I'm going back using a 16 % slower miner (with GTX 1050ti) for the fact of being safe.
Not when the algos supported accounts for more than 40 % of the mining time of that Rig.

I notice a little discussion with Nplus.
Just to explain on my side: I know my GTX 1050 ti work fine at standard intensity with your software HSRMiner_HP because I have two rigs using it with Gainward 1050ti with no problem at all But I was trying to use Nplus in the smaller one and sometimes its needed to have a light OC otherwise results with some of the other algos were crap. As Nplus doesn't take care of that, I had to understand the intensity you suggest, see what was decided as intensity in the Nplus by the guy that wrote it, and modify it trying to find a balance.
And this is what I did

more or less share aren't that important if you have at least 20 shares / hour.
PPNLS used by nanopool work by giving each share and each difficult a certain value so everything equate after time. However if you submit very few shares , less than twenty, when a block is found is possible that you don't show up in the nearest minutes. That mean that you will not fit in the PPNLS scheme, as results you will be paied only based on the shares you submitted and not fully PPNLS.
Etash average difficult isn't fixed by the miners but from the pool, that try to adapt to the miner hashing power.
SOlution ? go where the mix of the rigs connected aren't that powerful.
A smaller pool probably show also their difficult or a bigger one like ethermine where a lot of small miner go can be the solution.
Dwarfpool was the option I choosed before, and I had a rig with 5 1050ti and 2 rx 460.
In relation to the speed of the 1050 Ti their average is 15 MHS. Unless you are unlucky and got versions that can't be OC over 300 like the gainward. -DCRI is 125 in that case give the most blake2s without loosing ETH Mhs.
Last, Try Phoenix 2.7c if you don't dual mine.
Speed is higher for the NVDA but lower for the RX. But I found its giving more shares at the same MHs

The windows wallet link on first page doesn't work ? or its me ?

does anybody know if its possible to use some AMD Gpus (2gb) and not others ? I haven't find the command in the documentation
|
|
|
Ok, I stopped at the beginning...
Where I have to put the power on off switch/jumper ?, there is nothing written in the manual about that. are the third/fourth on the second row ?
Second question: I plugged one psu to the EATXPWR_A
I MUST PLUG ALL 3 AUXPWR_A1 and _A2_ and A3 even if I am not using more than 12 card or I have to leave the last one A3 empty ?
|

|
first, its fast... and a little furios with my oc..
second: when you say that the normal intensity is already fine tuned for gtx 1070, it means that if I ran it without -i intensity is already set ?
And what it is for GTX 1070 and GTX 1050 ti ? thank you
|
|
|
How can I change the intensity for gtx 1070 in HSR miner ?
|
|
|
just tell me that I can install the new version in the same directory as the old one! just finished the benchmarks..

Ok, I need some suggestion, and I thought that someone here may help me.
I purchased an used XFX 460 2 gb ( because I want to learn to make custom strap for cryptonight...) and I got it very cheap.
I tested "stock", and was giving 11 Mh on ubiq and 320 on Cryptonight
Then I saved the bios, baffin.rom, and I open it with Polaris and used the one click function to move the strap from lower speed to the higher ones. Memory is Hynix and Elpida
I flash the bios, windows is ok and it hang in Claymore. And it hang in Xmr stack, GGS,Phoneix, and any mining sw I can think of.
I flash his own bios back and it hang in Claymore. And it hang in Xmr stack, GGS,Phoneix, and any mining sw I can think of.
Thats the first time it happened to me. I give a look on the internet and there is all this story about unlocking the shaders and so on, and a lot of people unable to flash the bios. Got me thinking, I remove the fan , and there are 4 chip from Elpida ELPIDA/EDW4032BABG-70-F, that, according to the datasheet are 4 GB GDDR . Just to confirm I removed a 550 4 gb Asus, and it the same "configuration" but the chip are from micron.
So, What I have is probably a 4gb, cutted somehow in the bios to 2 gb. In the process of copying the bios and restoring it something changed and now isn't working as 2 GB, even if its recognized as 2 gb from the miners
Is this possible or there is an easier solution to what happened ?
Its "safe" to try to install a stock bios of a 460 4GB on it ?

HSR haven't recognized two card out of four. Its enough that I delete the hsrhash.txt ( not sure of the name) and restart and the benchmarking only of that algo will be repeated ?

I'm using the last one with gui, but still I have to press E...
The reference for flat isn't meaningless until you will pay your utility bill with crypto. Just compare claymore dual with phoenix ( or claymore) mining just ethereum. If you don't take in consideration the + 20 w you use minimum per card for doing dual, you can believe dual is better. And that's probably what yor software suggest. But its not the true.
yes, I was talking about the miner development fee, not yours.
back to example before, Clay dual 2 % + 1%( minimumNeo ) +20w per card against:0,65 %(phoenix)+ 1%(Neo)
That I know, but CCminer, HSR and so on , I don't know. And its not written anywhere in the readme.

Ok...
You are faster to release new version than me at testing.
It work easy , fast enough
rx 550 460 at intensity 20 at 14.000 diff Rx 570 910 at intensity 29 at 14.000 diff
Log file is mandatory, not optional.
doesn't seem to have trouble, I noticed a little reduction in hashrate after an hour but not much I let it run tonight in a rig
If I don't report and Wolff have a fresh beer, you will know its working.
Its a little boring... but it works.
Lol, Last time I 've seen so many green character in a screen I was playing space invaders or something like that
