we got over 31k for a quick minute or two.

https://aggr.trade/

this volatility

will last till that shit coin dies.

How many other coins are pegged to btc like that one was.

This volatility is because of the stock market.

here's the nasdaq

and now BTC

I doubt this luna fuck up would be affecting the stock market

Edit: not saying luna isn't having an effect, but the stock market is mostly calling the shots for the moment.

Fully agree

Absolutely. It's crazy, but it is what it is, I can't blame people honestly. Losing what little you have is very scary, especially when you see posts from people wanting to kill themselves because of the correction so far.

I thought this one was theirs

This shitcoin luna is going to 0 and is dragging down BTCitcoin. 70K BTC market sell even on Binance is no joke. There is no way to know how many BTC are remaining in luna account in Binance.

They must of sold everything by now.

This move is coupled with the CPI. have a look at the nasdaq, big red dildo.
May be they did, may be not (yet). My guess is they sell BTC each time someone sells 1 ust for 0.3 usd (at the current price). There is some correlation with their shitcoin luna, which is losing %'s by each second down to 0.69$ while BTC traded below 30K a couple of minutes ago. I would advise anyone to be cautious and not to enter with big sums now, since this crisis may last a few more days, even weeks. Nobody knows what will happen in the short term, the market is completely irrational now.

I don't know what they are doing but their on-chain wallet is empty. So while they could still have some on the exchange, hence this move, they would have to have little left.

The so called stable coin or shitcoin has contributed even worse to the situation causing the whole market to crash and this is what it now looks like :

So now you are having a dollar with 90 cents? This is the magical crypto space where some new things are also possible and now Luna is almost 97% down in value so who else is fan of these coins?

Get yourself some bitcoin at discounted rates because we might not get this opportunity once this Luna bullshit crap is over.

It looks like an intentional take down of the Luna shitcoins. Question is who made all the profit shorting this crap and where will they put the proceeds. Bitcoin?

Bitcoin gaining dominance slightly.

So what's dragging us down now? terra still? I see their stable coin has been down to 29c today.

Edit: No I see the Nasdaq has shit itself. It was a higher CPI than expected.

Hugely off topic I know but I'm sure there's fellow old timer nerds in here that will appreciate this... Duke Nukem Forever, the original 2001 E3 build FINALLY leaked.

Been playing around the last few hours and damn it's like I've been transported back to my early teens; if they released this instead of constantly fucking around and restarting development it would have been a hit for sure!

Aaaaaanyway, my call of a 31.5k low wasn't quite right but seems we've at least stablilised at that point. Where to from here though? Hopefully up!

Duke 3D was my Duke Nukem of choice, never played Forever.

The Forever they eventually released was dogshit, this leaked version before it got started again would have been amazing had they stuck with it. But yes, Duke3D was the shit!

I'll look into it then. I wonder why they didn't pursue and release it.

Australia’s Bitcoin spot ETF will list Thursday after 2 week delay.

Nice timing, right?

It is actually, since it is a decent price to start buying at.

What a blood bath. Hoping we bounce back above 33k at least.

It will be interesting to see what happens tonight when the US market opens. With the amount of selling we've seen today (coins now in new hands) I would hope that we might begin decorrelating from the stock market. We need the true believers to be the only hodlers again.

Well how low we gonna get lads? I'm saying 31.5k

$25,000 early 2023 but don’t worry. We can all get gf’s after the next halving Smiley

I don't reckon, we'll get a covid like bounce before then. Fed will relent, market will go up, right up.

You think the fed mashes down the rates?

That's like giving the alcoholic who has shot his liver so bad and has only 72 hours to live some intravenous ethanol to ease the withdrawals while he dies.

Plus, Trump might have (foolishly) done that, but the current gang WANTS this to happen.  But I sort of hope they do it.

That's exactly what it is like, but it doesn't matter, they have too. When credit markets cease up they have to brrrrr. What is the point of controlling inflation when corps are going bankrupt through not being able to access credit and unemployment skyrockets as the lay offs role in.

Also most of this inflation is from fiscal spending and supply constraints. Monetary easing does not hit inflation as hard, minus asset prices that is.

I'm thinking lower, 20s, but their will be a temp bounce before then.

Of course, if we get even a minor muttering from any Fed members the bottom could be in at that point.

Almost parity

Sad Trombone

This is only temporary. It won't be long before the lender of last resort has to start their brrrrr again. I mean that is their job. After they crash everything that is.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 09, 2022, 10:50:18 AM
Bought some back in the $33,xxx range. Almost a 50% discount from where I sold a certain amount. Thanks for the cheap coins, paper hands.

It makes me happy knowing you could get some of your coin back. Well played man.

So Wall Street and the big investment banks are irritated with the Fed. They want the market to regain momentum and start moving up again.

But with the Fed dragging out these incremental rate hikes every couple months, the market cannot do that; it cannot bottom, recover, and move on.

They want the Fed to pull off the band-aid with a big rate hike and be done with it for the year.

Now they aren't getting what they want.

I have a feeling the Fed will be reversing some of their actions next month at the latest. Maybe not rates, but I bet they'll change their mind on the QT. Shit is going to break real soon, the world is too leveraged now for any tightening. There is no way the Fed will sit back and let this happen, to do so would be the end of all government services, followed by the goverment itself.

Imagine  the government trying to pay for everything without being able to issue bonds (because the fed is no longer buying), or tax its citizens because unemployment is above 20% and capital gains are a thing of the past. The Fed is the lender of last resort for a reason and we're going to see them in that role again real soon. In the mean time markets are cactus, including Bitcoin's price.

If you thought you'd seen brrr before, well baby, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing. With all the mass employment shakeouts over the past 2 years, I'm imagining that IRS and state tax revenues have absolutely cratered.

So how are they going to make up the difference? How are they going to pay for govt services and service the deficits? There's only one way: moar printer go brrr.

But QT and raising rates into a huge worldwide recession with GDP falling? That's economic suicide.

Absolutely there is only one way and yes brrr is it.

When people are disscusing the future of the economy there is really only one question that needs to be asked. That question is "do you think the Fed will sit by and let the goverment fall, when it alone can prevent that?" and by fall I mean outright collapse in the shitty african country sense. Where goverment ceases to be a thing and warlords take up the slack instead. At which point the Fed employees (former after the collapse) will now be a massive target for the new warlords and starving mobs.

It's that simple. Police, military, hospitals, schools and so on won't work if not paid, and the goverment will not be able to pay them without the Fed or defaulting on all debt (even then the gov would still have to cut spending). The system is fucked, we know that, but without reforming (which ain't happening) the 2 choices are the Fed brrrrrs, or you bow down to your new warlord while eating the flesh of the former Fed employees and the members of the former goverment.
