341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems with the boards after burning a fan! on: July 18, 2021, 02:23:31 PM
How long did it hash before shutting down with no fans?
Cant see photo as it errors CDN error.   But you can kill hash boards with high heat.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: July 18, 2021, 02:16:00 PM
The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

Remember guys this is a FAKE post.
Reported to moderator.

I don't think anyone cares anymore. Even the dev's don't show up here to take care of anything except on an
extremely rare day. Dev's are worthless now that they're all multi millionaires. Just get prepared to be
left hanging in the near future.

Wow..arent we an ingrate.

Feel free to build a competitive miner…im sure it will be great (not).

Everything I said is true and the proof is right here in the posts.
They have all but disappeared.

Let me clarify.

I was not referring to the fake links that many of us here report regularly.  But you sure are good at calling out devs with your ingratius comments.  Maybe look into your attitude on that.   PM has provided an excellent miner and all you can do is complain the devs dont care or do anything.  Until you can provde a better piece of code you write yourself, you are best off not complaining about those who do.  Its very small of you .  The scammers are always here but they are not PM.  You have poor respect for devs who have done way more for mining than you will EVER.

You can bite me.
You don't even have enough intelligence to fully understand a simple post, so your comments to me are just ignorant trash.
Never I said the miner wasn't good or that I could or even wanted to write one you dummy.
I stand by what I said again. They are NOW worthless. They haven't made a decent improvement in a year or more.
They have only managed to barely keep up with driver changes. They never attempt to answer anyone's issues or make the miner better.
Hey, we made them all millionaires so now they just set back and suck in the money. Soon they will completely disappear and they will
continue to get paid as long as people just keep supplying the dev fee. That could last for years, but they won't be around except to
sell the coins they are accumulating.
Wise up dummy and just look at what they do.

You agree then you have never contributed anything except a toxic attitude.  Great.
Now move along go find your better miner as others have suggested.  As for the Devs they have upheld thier part of the bargain yet you complain.  In the end you have managed to post 143 times and havent even managed a single merit post.  You need to spend time reflecting on that…apparently if you never post again…nothing of value will be lost in this community.

That is the cold hard fact.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH mining in Germany with Innosilicon A11 Pro on: July 16, 2021, 01:42:56 PM
So you havent preordered….which means you wont be getting one this year…even if they do ship., which they havent yet and no update on if/when they will ship.

Also from a previous post power cost was pointed out as an issue.

What would be your pay off is Eth falls to $1000? $500….$100… These are all real possibilities….as you may not have noticed Eth is not gaining value lately.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How long lasting are flash drives when mining through them? on: July 15, 2021, 10:16:50 PM
It's always smarter to run Windows OS or mining OS through flash drive, why ? Those things are cheaper than SSD and you can replace them easier also they draw lower watt through USD port compare to running HDD and SSD combined but my question is how lasting are flash drives? Are they reliable ?

Nowadays the cost of a USB is really cheap, you can find 64 GB ones for 5-10 USD in Aliexpress, you can make cloning of them after you achieve the best possible options in your OS with Acronis (software for cloning disks) and you can have like 3-4 of them as backups when bad things happen.Normally they last long enough as I have one running from 2018 and no problems so far.So yes nowadays the technology has evolved that much that they are reliable,I am talking about branded ones like Sandisk,Kingstone etc and not the Chinese non-branded USB-s,those probably won't last long.

+1

Small SSD are damn cheap.

For the mining linux oses i use…a good quality flash drive has lasted more than 5 yesrs.  All my rigs have Sandisk 16 - 64gb mem sticks.  I have a total of 58 rigs and no issues.  Windows i could see being a problem as it will want to write to the drive constatntly.  Mining Oses specifically designed to run off mem sticks do not constantly write to the thumbdrive.

I have build my own Windows OS and stripped of everything that i don´t need -> it writing nothing constantly to the drive.
And there are also Win10 images out without installation, which will boot and run from USB flashdrive -> this versions also don´t write constantly logs.

HiveOS is writing constantly a log, you must deactivate it, if not it can kill your flashdrive. So not all miningOS are for flash drives out of the box.

You must not have read the “specifically designed to run off flash drives”…HiveOS i wouldnt run for anything.  I use Ethos and mmpOS….both are designed for flash drives specifically.

As for mining on windows……i dont run windows.  I prefer oses where i am in control of the computer.

But to each thier own.

Check the rest of thier line (Sandisk) just make sure its at least 3.0 or you can have issues on speed of access.
As for warranty Sandisk is 5 year.

348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about this mini display monitor for rigs? on: July 12, 2021, 10:28:08 PM
Most people never have a monitor, or a keyboard or a mouse connected to their mining rig. They basically either use Linux and just ssh into the terminal or use teamviewer if they are using Windows.

The only time I had to physically hook up a monitor and keyboard was during install or if there was some issue that I couldn't diagnose remotely. So there is no point in leaving a monitor plugged in all the time.

Actually if you leave it plugged in, especially to your GPU it will decrease hashrate or even lead to crashes such it takes more power to output to a display.
You are right but for those who can't use Linux OS they have to use monitor anyways, the best way is to use CPU/Motherboard as display meaning no hdmi cable on GPU but the motherboard itself, this won't affect GPU hashrate and also after setting things right they can switch off the monitor to save power

Why you must use a monitor if you using windows? Use anydesk, teamviewer or remote to desktop to connect to your rig. You don´t need any monitor on your rig!

As noted above by several…there are times you need a monitor on the rig (but only during that time)….like when you need to replace the cmos battery for the bios….because you cant remote into the bios.  Or anytime the rig fails to boot.  This is why i and others recommend having a monitor to put on it for those times.  But not to leave it there.

350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about this mini display monitor for rigs? on: July 11, 2021, 07:56:29 PM
I just use a single 10” screen and move it to whatever rig im working.  Big enough to easily see and yet small, light and cheap.

Rigs running no issue are monitorless.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Combining BTC mining with Zcash Mining in Germany on: July 08, 2021, 10:56:38 PM
No.

ZEC Zcash is mined by ASIC not gpu.

A 1080 will get around 0.5Khs so 8 would be 4Khs or about $0.25 per day for all 8 cards…and about $4+ in power costs….so you will only lose just under $4 a day.

Neither BTC or  ZEC are profitable or reasonably mineable on gpu.  A single old outdated Zcash asic does around 14khs on about 350w of power.

That calculator is terribly out of date.

I use Ethermine and have for years.  Oddly i earn a little more than whattomine shows.  Ive got 2.7ghs on Ethermine and is earning 0.0820 per 24hrs.  WTM shows 0.081

Hi CPU load in Task Manager 39%  anyone knows how to fix it? is it normal?

Can try turning off --validate-shares or --cpu-priority 1

356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wow! Sparkpool's and f2pool's hashrate decreased accordingly on 43.3% and 27.9%! on: June 28, 2021, 02:36:55 PM
Very poor picture quality, it is better to provide a link to the resource.
On Ethereum, the profit is 0.031 ETH from 1 terahesh per day.
With a coin price of about 4 thousand dollars, the profit was 0.02-0.024 ETH from 1 terahesh per day.
This is a good indicator until the new London hard fork, which was pushed back to 4 August.

Something is terribly wrong about your calculation.

I think you mean 0.031 eth per Ghs (not Ths) per day.

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard with mining USB slots on: June 28, 2021, 02:34:49 PM
Rebtech.io has an 8 port board like you speak.  Only 8 USB mining ports no slots.  Also only uses 13W for the system to run....
There was also a board by Asus i think  that had 13 or 19 of these on it.  But very rare and hard to come by.

Is there any way ETH+ZIL mining simultaneously, I dont liked idea it stops mining eth and mines zil. It is not like used to be like dual mining in the past.

Its how ZIL works.  Is not like the old dual mining where it actually occurred at the same time.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Try to unlock the ETH restriction by editing the ROM. on: June 22, 2021, 02:31:26 PM
3060 Ti,3070,3080, and 3090 arent even Eth restricted though.

That is how you can tell its a scam....
