341  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: April 02, 2017, 04:32:33 AM
What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
If that thing will happen and if someone would do it,that will affect bitcoins price, supply and demand.
Dont panic selling.you need to know when you need to sell your coins and i can tell you the time is not yet here. Many people are now holding it for a long time because they see that the value of the Bitcoin is rising slowly.Patience in Bitcoin is really important otherwise you will be not to be able to earn profit.

Panic selling is only to those who are weak hearted. Bitcoins price is very volatile so it is normal for its price to pump or dump in an instant. Whales are grabbing this opportunity in order to gain profit from new traders. They will dump the coin from the price they want and then it will create a chain reaction and the new traders will panic sell. After they reach the price they want. They will then pump the coin and from that margin, they are gaining profit from it.
342  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: SeeKoin - A Bitcoin/Blockchain and crypto search engine on: April 02, 2017, 04:19:41 AM
Great ! I've tried to use your search engine and to be honest. I love it! It's fast and uses minimal resources making it faster to load than the regular search engine. Also, when a crypto-currency is searched. It reveals the detailed information about that which I found it very convenient. In addition, the site also has the faucets which is beneficial to those who are only starting to know bitcoin. Just need some improvement for the display but all in all. This is a great project.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hours gone and transaction not confirmed on: April 02, 2017, 04:02:39 AM
Hello Bitcoiners,

I transfered 0.3 Bitcoins to a client and yet it's not confirmed, not even 1 of 3.
It still says 0/3 confirmation.

https://blockchain.info/tx/33395fc6bf829a3e491a68083251eb23e43a80980158aff467ecdb64f69d7a13

Could you help me understand WHY?
How long does it take most?
Will this be confirmed or my money will be lost?

Thank you.

It is normal to take the transactions a long time before it confirms especially if you only put a small amount of fees. For a normal fee transaction to confirm, it takes about 4 hours before 1 confirmation. Then another 30 minutes every confirmation. At least 3-4 confirmations and the bitcoin should be recieved by the client you are transferring.

Don't worry your money will not be lost. It is in the blockchain and just needed to wait for confirmations. Just check from time to time by the tx id to see the progress of the transaction.
344  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why it is said that bitcoin is centralized? on: April 02, 2017, 03:44:54 AM
Wrong, bitcoin is not centralised but it's opposite of that. Bitcoin us decentralised which means no other 3rd party can alter the bitcoin network and government could also can't impose tax on bitcoin. All I know is bitcoin is automated and no one can change the system.

Yes Bitcoin is decentralized, anyone or the majority can decide whether they want to change protocol in Bitcoins Algorithm if necessary. But, it is still up to the Bitcoin Core Developers to execute those changes if they want it or not.

Quote
[T]here is a discrepancy between those who can provide input to the project (the community at large) and those who have the ultimate call as to where the project is going. Indeed, while anyone is entitled to submit changes to the software (such as bug fixes, incremental improvements, etc.), only a small number of individuals (the core developers) have the power to decide which changes shall be incorporated into the main branch of the software.

345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saving on: April 02, 2017, 03:23:22 AM
I think saving bitcoin is a good idea.
Because when you save bitcoin it is
like an investment that you can use
when you need it.
Its really a good idea to save bitcoin for the future and yes it is a good investment and there are lots of users of it do treat it as an investment but we should not fully rely on it because there are instances that prices might crash in the future thats why we just save or buy only the amount we can afford to lose up.

Yeah, even though Bitcoin is a great investment, you should not put all your money in it because we all know that Bitcoin is very volatile and weak. Its price can be easily manipulated by the Whales and if they want to dump that in an instant, they can. Also, I believe in the saying that "Don't put all your eggs in one basket". Try to find another investment that would surely give you a decent amount of profit. In this case, you can minimize the effect of loss in case Bitcoin is destroyed (which is impossible to happen).

347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it still worth it to trade? on: April 01, 2017, 12:01:12 PM
As my observation yes its still worth it to trade bitcoin because the value is not stable its going down and up. Its better to trade now because you will get a good profit for a short trade. Like last week bitcoin goes to 800$ now its 1000$ so that is a bog different.
For me it's worth to trade if the price will go down $800 because there is a high chance it will increase in days only unlike if you buy it in $1000 there is no assurance it will increase

No I don't think its price will go down to $800 again. Even though bitcoins price is affected by the launch of BTU, the buy wall is still in $1100 so it will need at least $10000 before the price dumps in $800.  For me the right time to trade is now since you can easily gain profit because of the fluctuations happening to bitcoins price. Just have to analyze the proper timing of buying and selling in order to maximize the margin and gain a decent profit from it.

Anyone interested in buying/selling bitcoins can register in openbitcoins.net to do that!

Thanks all of you.

Clicking on the link makes me realize that he posted his own referral (if I am not mistaken). This was some kind of Affiliate in which if you signup and make a transaction the person (referee) will gain commission out of it. But, the site seems well established although there are things missing in a trading platform site. But, I still prefer trading with Localbitcoins since it is more convenient and safer to use. Additionally, it has significantly more users, because of this, there are lots of options you can select when searching for a trade.
349  Economy / Securities / Re: Having Profitable Business <<Need Investors>> on: April 01, 2017, 05:38:49 AM
mrcash02 is right, when someone is going to hear out or read that word "safe interest" and look it's 15% weekly, many will doubt on it.

It's kind of weird because that's a big amount though I'm not saying that you aren't trusted, maybe you can show up some of your charts with your revenue and the whole thing with your source.

So in that way, you can justify that weekly interest that you are offering to your possible investors.

And transparency is going to be a big factor for it and will remove the suspicious thought with your offer.

Yeah and I don't think he can reach  stable income for more than 15% weekly since as what he said, he is selling from his friends and neighborhood. I doubt they will regularly buy gift cards everyday or every week. Additionally, he doesn't state what alternatives he will do if he cannot reach the 15% quota to be distributed to the investors. So, In my opinion invest with your own risk and sorry to say but I don't see it as " Safe Investment".
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: April 01, 2017, 05:10:02 AM
Some people gamble because they want to enjoy and to make fun with friend but the main reason why people gamble because they need money for their physical needs, material needs, and emostional needs. Its just a matter of fact that other people try to make it business for their own sake for them to achieve what they want. But its not that make it all perfect but sometimes it make it more worst specially when your time for your family is damage because of that gambling. So, the main reason why people gamble because of their profit.

Absolutely correct, because if you really want just for entertainment or to consume time. You can go to malls, hangout with friends, watch movies, et al. But, staying with gambling is because you have another thing that you want. Which is Profit. I can see some people who really fund their wallets in gambling sites. And seeing them play (can be seen in High Rollers) and having such a huge loss. I was wondering how they can manage to bring those looses back to them.

Gambling is addictive in the sense that you want to win everytime. Unfortunately, the other side happenes, I never seen a gambler 'till now saying they are winning. Instead, they are all loosing (accept it or not). So, Gambling is not a good investment, instead it is only for fun. So, make sure to fund your wallet just a small amout to prevent huge losses from gambling.

352  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Platforms that sell bitcoin? on: April 01, 2017, 02:11:30 AM
Some people buy on forum, which could be risky, some on exchangers, some on ATMs but I would recommend localbitcoins. For me it's the most convenient and also reliable place to buy Bitcoins. There you can find a trader from your country, even local community, and easily agree the transaction. You can also buy Bitcoins on blockchain if you use their wallet.

Wherever, you can sell any products via payment as bitcoin. Simply use any escrow available in the forum or any other platform. Even in localbitcoins also when you are selling out your bitcoins. Automated escrow has been used. Once you are confirmed that you received the payment from the trader, you release it and after you release it. you may find the escrow in above the page of Localbitcoins.

There are also a site called bitify. It is a Bitcoin and Litecoin Marketplace. It is somewhat the same as Localbitcoins. They also have an automatic escrow with a fee to pay every transaction. A lot of goods both digital or physical is present and any other bitcoin related products can be found there.

Now, in terms of buying and selling bitcoins to fiat or vice versa. It depends on the country which would they prefer. All wallets can also act as a platform for buying and selling a certain crypto-currency. Just like in Philippines (our country) we are using Coins.ph in every transactions we are doing as it allows us to convert BTC into PHP (our currency). In other country they uses trading platforms such as poloniex, C-cex and others to buy/sell Bitcoin.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can break above $1,100 again? on: April 01, 2017, 01:55:49 AM
Just wait for a few months cause bitcoin will definitely break the 1400$ price. They can never bring back bitcoin price below 800$ again

No I don't think it will take up to a month to reach its $1400 peak. As what we can see right now, The price ranges from $1100-$1150. Now's the Launch of BTU and if it really can overpass bitcoin. The price should be lower than $800 right now. Bitcoin is resilient and I believe in no time BTU will be destroyed by Bitcoin in terms of its liquidity. BTU may be popular right now because of its fresh launch but people will soon not be interested with this coin and Bitcoin will regain its place again and can even surpass its $1400 peak.
354  Economy / Economics / Re: Make money from money on: April 01, 2017, 01:36:40 AM
the best way to make money with money is by trading altcoin. Well, even though it is something that is not certain, but, when you have mastered it, you certainly can make money with money even if it is not stable.

This may be the best way now, but not safe. Nobody can predict how the cryptocurrency will develop in the near future. Therefore, when trading alternative coins, you need to be very careful

All investments will have some risks. But some of them are high risk, and trading also is a high-risk investment. You should carefully study the market and always go for long and never leverage lot of money to trade. If you leverage more then you can make more money in short time, but at the same time, you lose all your investments very quickly. So one should start with small amount and learn how these things work. Trading is one of the good way to grow our money.

The risk in terms of trading depends on how knowledgeable the trader is in terms of Altcoin trading. If the trader is newbie, then the risk is very High. Why? Because Altcoin trading is very tricky, there are times when they pump the price then if you Buy in the wrong time, you can loose your coins. Also, a lot of scam coins are scattered in Altcoin trading platforms so you should be observant in the coin you are trading. Another thing is there are so many Whales that controls the price of the coin, if you are weak hearted, you cannot gain profit from trading.

But, pioneer traders has a very minimal risk. It is like they are playing games, Playing with those who are weak hearted and gaining profit from them.

But, all in all. Trading is the safest investment in terms of bitcoin (aside from Investing in Gambling Bankroll)
355  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Gambling Project on: April 01, 2017, 01:19:38 AM
:)Do you want to make a no license without any security project of gambling?
I don't think it's a good idea

as far as my knowledge most of the gambling sites do not have the license...
That's wrong. All the famous gambling sites who genuinely operate as a legit business do have a gambling license if it's required at all by the country they're operating from.Otherwise,if it's against your jurisdiction, you wouldn't be allowed to play there.Like Ip blacklisting or showing a warning message.

True, gambling casino sites holds a high amount of money and there are lots of gamblers that needs security for their money. I think those gambling sites which are only starting don't have the license yet. But as they grow, they MUST have a license since they are operating such amount of money. Well established gambling casino site like Crypto-games.net, Primedice, Bitsler and other pioneer in terms of gambling site does have license.

Here in the Philippines, online casino's are being shut down by the Government because they cannot collect proper taxes to it. Hence, they are required to have a license first before they can operate such gambling site.
356  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: About the PoW change on: April 01, 2017, 12:54:18 AM
80% seems like an awfully high number. However, if it is true, that is not good at all. No one entity should control that much of the mining power.

A change in PoW could become necessary if BitCoin becomes threatened with the possibility of 51% attacks. Miners certainly will be opposed to these types of changes due to the amount they may have invested in their hardware though. Definitely presents another problem for Bitcoin to overcome.

I doubt they are holding 80% of the mining hash power of bitcoin. Even though it is huge, I only see it holding like 50% of the mining hash power of Bitcoin. However, if that will be the case that they will support he BTU, yeah as stated above bitcoin will be vulnerable to certain attacks. But, as what many are saying. Because Bitcoin is well-known and lots of users are supporting it. If there is a possibility that BTU will overpower Bitcoin, that would take some time or may not happen at all.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin progress in 2017 on: March 31, 2017, 03:29:14 AM
This has definitely been a productive start of the year. Also most of last year was very good for Bitcoin with the price more than doubling.
Yes the price did double this year but so did the chance of hard fork by BTU. Bitcoin progressed really good in the begging of the year but in the pat month because of the hard fork rumours and many people not exactly what it is, a lot of people dumped bitcoin for ETH or other altcoins. Many traders also withdrew from bitcoin until the hard fork situation resolves. So there was both a upside and downside so far in this year.

I don't think that dump would destroy bitcoin. Before when it is approaching $1000 it suddenly drops into nearly $600. But it survives. Now it approaches $1400 then drops in $970. I think it is just normal that every time bitcoin is approaching to surpass its peak, the whales are dumping it to earn profit. For me, I am taking it as a great opportunity to stock my bitcoin at a low price and wait for its price to stabilize again. Then sell. I doubt bitcoin will be destroyed just by BTU.
358  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Btc price on: March 31, 2017, 02:39:20 AM

359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: March 31, 2017, 02:21:41 AM
Mine is very simple. Buy when stable low price point is visible. And sell in volatile rallies . Or just hold long term for investment purposes. And yes I was able to make profits.

Same, since I was not a professional trader. I am only like guessing. Basing from the movement in the price. I am based on the buy and sell wall, If I can see that there are huge buy wall, then I add 1 sat with that. then when I have the coin. I am now looking at the sell wall. Then I subtract 1 sat with that. meaning I am only into the buy/sell wall. Usually I consider that a wall if the price before it reaches my bid/ask is 1BTC. Luckily, I am earning from that strategy and Im comfortable using that since I've started learning trading.
360  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Im new into mining. Wanna try out cloud mining - hashflare.io , Any thoughts? on: March 31, 2017, 02:05:37 AM
Hello, im very new to bitcoin since then , i have bought $60 worth of bitcoin recently. Most of my friends reccomend me to go with bitcoin mining but it requires ridiculous large equipment that is way too expensive to start on. My question is cloud mining possible? I found hashflare.io seems to be a legit company only here on bitcointalk. I want to invest all of my bitcoins in mining industry and make a good return , can someone give me few tips and advices? Thanks in advance!!!!

I didn't recommend investing your bitcoin in cloud mining as it will not generate profit out of that since it only gives a little portion of your money per day. Instead of investing that in a cloud mining site, why'd not invest in a gambling casino bankroll. Long term investment will surely give you a decent profit. Just make sure to invest in a legit casino site. I will provide a link where you can invest. (I tested that site and for me it is legitimate)
