341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New alt coin, Islamiccoin. 1m+ followers on twitter on: June 09, 2023, 01:14:49 PM
OP I attempted to join the Telegram group you linked to in order to learn more about Islamiccoin, but it is requesting that I join a chat between two members. I thought you said it was a telegram group which supposes by right to have hundreds or thousands of members as the case may be. Why are there only two people in the group?

Anyway, it goes without saying that anyone who invests in Islamiccoin does so at their own risk because the telegram link provided appears to be a hoax and the information contained in the white paper seems to be false.
I want to check the Telegram group as well but I'm getting an error. How did you manage to open the link? And are you sure that you are on the correct group? Anyway, it's not only the Telegram group that matters here. I think I already saw some good projects who don't even have an official Telegram channel or group but having a whitepaper with fake information are already a different story.

Projects like that are seem to not be trusted or we must be vigilant and make sure to exit early before the team do and lost most of your money. Coins which are religious are not new. There is even called Jesuscoin before but they only look like a meme coin. A serious project won't use those kind of name as a respect to the religion.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 09, 2023, 10:55:19 AM
I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

     -  What is that? from your 1000$ starting gamble you managed to grow 100k$? or instead of only losing 1000$ you lost 100k$? did I understand correctly? Because gambling is always a loss and always a win.

That's why if you always experience winning there are only two things, either you are really lucky or you use fraud. Today, the loss of gambling by players often in a casino is normal in gambling and cannot be changed.
I think he still losses $1k because this is where he starts and the rest $90k that he lost was only his profit but that is still regrettable. I already experience the same thing but only with a much smaller amount like under a thousand dollars. So, I know how suck it is @OP. What's more suck is that how many times we experienced this?

The question is why we never learn from such mistake. Well I guess I think that is because we always seek for adventure. To win other than being lucky and using cheats, there is also skills that are involved sometimes. Maybe the OP is only skillful and then combined with being lucky to be able to reach that far.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 09, 2023, 09:58:31 AM
I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
If he loses money by gambling, he will surely regret it for a short time. Be it me or anyone else, any person will regret after losing a bet and that is normal. But the person who does not come to this repentance must realize that the person is totally addicted to gambling and he is going to destroy his life.
Depends on the losses. If it's a big one, yes but if not, no. Until now do you still regret it? But how much is the amount you are playing anyway? You should have lowered it according only to your capacity but if it's already small, it would be better to stay away from gambling because too much regret is not healthy anymore or maybe you can play gambling with no money involved. That could still entertain you, if you are only playing for the same purpose and not for the profit.

I don't regret nowadays on my losses even if sometimes I go overboard because I am already used to it and no, it does not mean that I am addicted to gambling already. I know my self more.
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone Predict What's going on crypto market? on: June 08, 2023, 06:28:34 PM
We all know that it is impossible to predict the future of the crypto market. However, according to the current world economy, the market is still in a good position. Still, who knows if there is even any news or when this market will turn around again. According to the economy going down a bit too slowly can new investments be made at the moment.

The crypto market is doing very well now, after a few days ago the Bitcoin price was dumped due to the SEC bad news and now it is recovering quickly,
I think Bitcoin is not that easy to be bearish anymore, and hopefully this is a sign that the crypto market has entered a bullish season.
I check the price of Bitcoin after seeing your post and it seems you are correct because the price was over $26k again. To be exact, it was Binance who are being accused with the SEC but the issue might be solved already. I know this won't be the last but it's okay if it only happens on smaller companies and not with Binance because it was like the foundation of crypto already and once it collapsed, it will cause a chaos in the crypto world. It's not easy for Bitcoin to be bearish anymore because people already have a confidence with it. It's not about the upcoming bull run. People do also have a trust with Binance so they did not panic for a while.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 08, 2023, 05:14:32 PM
For sure no gambler and I mean "no gambler" who has experience a massive win that gave him/her big profits in just some minutes could be able to wait  for an investment to yield profits for them, knowing how long investment take to actually yeild tangible profits. Gambling and investment are totally two different means of making profits, one has to do with a split second loss and also same time frame when its comes to profits to earned while the other requires discipline and patience which most gamblers fail to posses.
That is exactly what keeps most gamblers coming back to play, they have experienced some sort of big win,a great session where they felt complacent with themselves for achieving it,in fact it is an illusion as they were just lucky and did not achieve anything thanks to their skills, well except when they win in poker or sport betting,in here I am talking about gamblers going to the casino playing slot machines. The fact that they can get a really massive win in a short amount of time is what keep them coming back.

Investment is the opposite, you invest some money now and you put a time frame which is the minimum of several months to yield you a profit, something gamblers are not used to,they cannot wait that long, that is the truth.
I don't gamble big or play on higher multiplier games so I only win minimal amounts but I am still happy and this is the main reason why I keep on coming back on the casino. To win is not an illusion, most especially if you already withdraw the money and convert it into a physical cash.

This is what we achieved other than a loss from playing a gambling. Some games might involved skills but if paired with luck, the chance of becoming successful is more attainable. Gambling is active while investing is passive; indeed it was its opposite. Maybe there are few successful investors who are also a gambler but many find it impossible to do. They can only end up selling their assets to bet more in gambling.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: June 07, 2023, 12:08:40 PM
But there are a few casinos that charge nothing for withdrawals, which is actually a big plus for them in my opinion. But what surprised me is that they don't advertise it that way. When I made my first withdrawal I couldn't find the fee because there wasn't any and then I thought that deduct something automatically or I will receive less, but no, the withdrawal fee is paid by the platform then. That was nice.
Really? That was cool, but can you name some of those casinos? A lot of us are not aware with that, which is why we are still paying for a withdrawal fee whenever we withdraw money on the existing casinos that we play. Maybe there is a catch for that like the casino place some advertisements on the side, top or bottom of their site which allows them to earn extra revenue.

I won't mind it as long as it's not annoying. We should not underestimate the withdrawal fees. Sure some cheap cryptos only requires tiny fees but we are talking about casinos here and they always have lots of customers so if those cheap fees were combined, it will still equate to a large amount.
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 06, 2023, 08:14:01 PM
I'm really sorry to hear about such a sad story. Yes, the consequences of gambling addiction can be devastating, affecting not only the individual but also those around them. It's sad that some individuals who find themselves in such a desperate situation often struggle to reach out for support or confide in their loved ones. They may isolate themselves, feeling trapped and hopeless.

How can we as a society create a more supportive environment for individuals struggling with gambling addiction? How can we encourage a more responsible gambling culture that emphasizes moderation and healthy boundaries? These are the questions we really need to answer if we want to avoid or at least lower the chances of these sad stories happening again in the future.
I think we are already at the limits of what it can be achieved when trying to protect those which may be vulnerable to compulsive behaviors, the only other option left would be to ban gambling completely, and this is not an option as this not only will not protect those people as they could still gamble at illegal casinos, but this will also affect those which live out of the gambling industry all over the world, so while this is a sad story there is not much we can do to prevent things like this to keep happening.
Depends on the effort that we do. If we feel so, then it might be true. We shouldn't feel bad about our selves then. It's not already our problem if someone will still go on the wrong path. But, will you agree that gambling will be banned completely when you know that you have no issues with it? Maybe you will only regret later on, when that urge to gamble suddenly came.

The truth is, gambling is innocent here. It's not their fault but it was the gambler. Maybe they already have a mental issue in which they can easily get hooked on one thing, not only in gambling. They better cure that out first. They can also ask a help to their parents or to their friends. Gambling can just wait.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: June 06, 2023, 09:42:20 AM
CSK always had a great captain with them. And MS Dhoni knows very well how to maximize the outcome of the resources that he has in hand. That's why CSK was able to win this IPL. Of course, MS Dhoni is also a great wicketkeeper. He has the fastest hand in cricket so far. We all agree that he did not have many star players on the team. But he was able to maximize the outcome of whatever he had. He is the classic example of hard work and also smart work. I believe he is also the reason why young players are so motivated to do well. CSK is a great combination of talent and experience.
There are rumors that Sanju Samson will move to CSK for the next season. Not everything is going well for the Chennai Super Kings. Reportedly there is a rift between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja. Back in 2022, Jadeja was made the captain. But then after a series of defeats he was removed and this led to a spat between him and MSD. Jadeja scored the winning runs for CSK in the final, but that doesn't mean that the issue is settled. My guess is that Samson will replace Jadeja next year, and MSD will be playing as a specialist batsman.
So Dhoni still going to have strong influence on CSK with Ravidra Jadeja is surely going to better way which could be good for him because right now no one can challenge Dhoni here in CSK and management is also going back him which is good because long successful career with still many years in future he will be associated here as mentor or coach as well even I believe they need to keep him as vice captain but may be Jadeja is not feeling comfortable with this, so he is now trying to have better place even as captain in any other franchise.

Sanju Samson could be very good replacement, but my view is now we have no place for Dhoni as specialist batsman because he can't hit like he has done few years back with over 42 is surely need honor, but now it's fast game which needs new blood.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: June 06, 2023, 04:23:23 AM
2022 In 22 trade I have never had to accept so many losses since the advent of cryptocurrencies. Those who are mainly dependent on trade are now on the verge of destitution. Before 2022, it seems that trading has not suffered so much loss2022 is a cursed year for traders. If anyone has any idea on when bitcoin position will turn please share it will save many traders like me from losing.
Op this is because you were going against the trend, Reading through this just reminded me of a time when I was only focused my trade on the Buy side because then I don't like shorting Bitcoin until I got recked at some point because the selling became so increased and most of my trades started going against me, Op there are only two opportunities in the market either you buy or sell , it's advisable to follow the trend, buy when the buy pressure is high and sell when the sell pressure is high too , with this you will save yourself some unecessary loses you my encounter.
Going against the trend could be beneficial at times but not the price, the speculations. Go with the price, but against what everyone is saying, when the price is going down, you should buy at the bottom and many people will say that bitcoin is dying and get out and it's terrible bla bla bla, bitcoin will recover no matter how much it falls and that's why I think that it shouldn't be a big deal and I think it should be important to consider what people are saying.

Same when it goes up and that means that people will talk about how amazing it is and how everyone will become a millionaire and we are going to ride our lambos and all that stuff, which we have seen to be a false advertisement all too often and should sell when it reaches the top as well.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: June 05, 2023, 06:03:15 PM
Am I the only one who thinks that Saudi will likely one day if not in the nearest future shift big attention to themselves when it comes to football. Don't think it is difficult for them to do. If Messi by any chance joins Ronaldo there, you will not imagine what their viewing time or  watch hour will look like.
There television rights, market, tourism and many more will boost in the Saudi League.  Benzema is almost there, let's wait for the official announcement.
Saudis are doing few good things as they invested in UEFA clubs and now using their influence and sources for having quality in their own league which is surely going to have big impact in near future even still many are feeling conditions and quality is big problem but as they are invested hopefully all will be under control for them with this all their league surely going to have big impact in Asia as well which will encourage many other leagues to pay intention to their leagues for improvement as well.

Ronaldo, Benzema and Budquets are surely big players with many more are in talks and things could be clear in near future which will have good for the league and without any doubt huge funds for these players as well most chances this league could be improved their fanbase and their media rights could be also given them good money as they are invested for these players.
351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a Morning Routine have any Effect as a Day Trader? on: June 04, 2023, 05:58:23 PM
Physical activities really helps your overall mood which is traders must do before they trade because they have to make sure that their emotions is stable. They include this to their trading plan because unstable emotion can lower the probability of your trade and increase the risk. If you're in emotional state it will lead to revenge a trade after a loss or consistent losses instead of taking a rest.
Not just only in trading, but any activity that you wish to do will always be influenced positively once you start your morning with exercise and healthy food intake. That way, your negative emotions will burnout and vanish and will attract positive emotions instead. So I think it would be very helpful if you keep on doing it before your decide to trade. Although I’m not really into this exercise every morning, but I’m really trying to keep my body and mind healthy and productive.
What I know is that a physical activity is good for the health but it's not a sure way to give you a positive emotion throughout the day. So many factors can trigger it including a price fluctuation. Emotion is not all. No matter how good your emotion is but your analysis isn't, losses will still be likely to hit you.

It's okay to try and revenge your loss but you should not only stick on one strategy because maybe the previous strategy you're using is so bad. Chances are that you will only repeat the same mistakes again. If that is the case then yes, it is better to take a rest instead. It should help you relax your mind a little bit and you can think properly again the moment you came back.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: June 04, 2023, 03:48:22 PM
I can see through what article aims. Logic must be the most important part of gambling. When someone bets or gambles, he should be able to calculate results. Mathematics is a must for sure. Wheb you see someone only chasing his/her luck, you will see that person is not good gambling personality. Recording data of bet is obviously another best thing to do because there is no better way to measure chances. Its first party data received. You can measure your weaknesses through.
I don't think you can calculate your result successfully in gambling because if you do, you will never lose. Gambling involves numbers but mathematics has nothing to do with it. A gambler can have a different personality. There are gamblers who can control their selves while there is also gamblers who always chase a big win or wants to recover a previous loss.

There is no need to record your gambling data because the gambling site is already doing it for you. You can just go to your betting profile and click on history, then click on the bets tab. In some gambling sites it allows you to download your whole data or you can also request it on the costumer support if the option is unavailable.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AI Coins Speculation on: June 04, 2023, 03:04:00 PM
Coins you mentioned are prominent coins in the market, and I'm not surprised with their upside recently, investors will pick up whatever is in trend and these days it's AI. However, there are countless other shitcoins which are taking advantage of buzzword AI and are there just to scam investors. Stay away from them.
I do heard about the Chatgpt but I never heard those coins mentioned by the OP. They might be related to AI and they only get lucky if they are not one of kind with special use case to attract investors. Not all investors are investing on the hype coins because they know the risk that entails with it but some are only playing it safe.

Cryptos are already risky due to their highly volatile state so they are not going to amplify it more. Meme coin is also another term for those coin who ride the current hype but this one is more riskier because they are only just a pump and dump. Once the hype is over their life was also over. Those who fail to play the game well is going to lose their money.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: June 04, 2023, 07:45:00 AM
No need to browse.

Just simple, you can't handle "deposit". That's one indication you are addicted, for example like you already winning and withdraw the money after that in the next 5-10/30 mins you are deposited again.

Deposit over and over again until your money is out, are indicated addicted.
Yes, it's the same as what I did, but being addicted doesn't mean you can become a heavy addict, sometimes some gamblers want to find pleasure in playing gambling and don't target big wins, let alone chase defeats. The above are indeed some of the signs of gambling addiction behavior, but many don't realize that they are started to become an addict.

For me addicts are people who always chase defeat so that a lot of money is spent in games, whereas I never chase my losses because playing to spend a little money on weekends doesn't keep me curious and makes me run out of a lot of money, but actually everything comes back to me own how to control not to become a heavy addict.
It happened to me as well but indeed I am still not fully convinced that I am an addict gambler because I can still function very well. I still can eat or sleep properly. Not all times we are like that where we redeposit and lose all our winnings but sometimes we know how to do the proper thing. That is we take a break from playing.

It's also more possible if we already cashed out the digital money into a physical one and we already spend it on some essential things. Chasing defeat is not only the sign that a gambler is addicted but there is also chasing for a win or they are only hook on playing the game because the graphics and sound is so good.
355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: June 03, 2023, 03:45:25 PM
Most of newbie investors don’t know about how to manage their capital but who bought crypto with overprice during hype or just before bear session, were get victim. Bedsides because of panic cell, they lost their most of the capital badly and then blaming crypto for everything. If they try to learn before taking steps, then their story might be different from pictures
We know that they are just a newbie but they shouldn't make that as an excuse because other newbies will just follow it. One newbie must be a good influence to other newbies and they can do it by learning first. There are so many unwanted things that they can avoid including the ones that you mentioned above if they equip their selves with knowledge.

The worse thing that can happen to a newbie is not losing a capital but it is when they start to blame all cryptos and calling it a scam because it can also give a bad impression to the people around them and then those people will also spread the wrong word to the people that they know, and so on...
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2022/2023 on: June 03, 2023, 02:51:15 PM
expected a different game, but fast goal after 13 seconds, and City is really close to trophy, United is trying but I don't expect them to overturn

this is a prime example when you put down tactics and everything before the match, and what happens in first minute clears all from the table and left you chasing the lead, hopefully Rashford can make it interesting, but clearly doubt that
Now we are heading for the end of first half with Manchester United lucky as now they are on level thanks to Fernandes penalty which bring this match on level and now second half could be more action packed because Manchester City is having good control with they were host favorite for this game, but it's never been easy for any team to win derby game both are on verge of double and mostly fans are thinking Manchester City can go through for the treble but its never been easy.

Manchester United is also having good end with season was excellent in Premier League, ended third and now having final of The FA Cup.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 03, 2023, 01:20:01 PM
I do not like to gamble, of course if rich is the goal. Gambling should be something that is fun especially something that is entertaining regardless of whether it is slots or other sports betting
Just few percentage of people are gambling just for fun now, higher percentage are gambling because they want to be making money for survival from gambling, and other are gambling to get rich, that's why most people easily get addicted to gambling when they start gambling, their target is to get rich from gambling, and if you are having that kind of target, then you get addicted easily because you won't want to give up even when you are losing money, that's why it's just better we gamble just for fun.
It's hard to be a gambler whose sole goal is to have fun, even if you had such a plan from the start. I did, but after a while the addiction kicked in and took a toll on my budget. Oh, I realize it's just experience, but after that I started to work around this by reducing the intensity of gambling. In the end I succeeded, yes I succeeded in becoming a responsible gambler even though I could still lose bets.

So even if someone does not gamble for fun, but when they are able to take responsibility for their gambling then it is a great option for a gambler to have. Get rid of the gambling rich plan, it's not the most likely plan to come true.
I am not entirely sure if I am addicted or not, so I am not going to go on and act like I can give life lessons to anyone. But I put a limit to my budget on gambling, I said I will not pass this amount, and for the past 7-8 years I have never been above that level, even with such huge inflation, that number has been stable for that many years, it is much smaller on what it can buy today, and yet I am not increasing it.

Does that mean everything is perfect? Of course not, it has been 8 years and I am still gambling, which means I failed to stop, and that's a type of addiction without a doubt. But the difference is that I did not lose more than I bargained for, I put a limit and always stopped there whenever I gambled, so even if it's an addiction, it's not a terrible one.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 03, 2023, 09:12:55 AM
ICC has also made a rule that the teams which perform better will get more money. That is another problem because the teams which have foreign players in the squad are almost always going to perform better than any native squad. So that creates a loophole which actually benefits the teams which have foreign players in the squad. ICC should change the rules as soon as possible otherwise, it is actually going to result in the death of cricket.
The eligibility rules were changed in order to favor teams like the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America, who are the blue eyed boys of the ICC. The ICC even suggested the same to Chinese officials, but they hit back by saying that they won't include foreigners in their national team. I don't think that the eligibility criteria will be changed further. Because native cricket in Europe has almost become extinct outside England. Previously teams like Danmark and Italy used to field 100% native squads and they were among the best associate teams. But now they are fielding 100% foreigner teams and their rankings have gone down. Cricket clubs are closing down in these countries.
As things are going right now in Europe and England most chances we will have 100% players from Sub-continent because their native players are not going to have any interest in this game even now I was checking England is struggling with many players from Sub-continent are involved in counties which is big change and no one can do anything with mostly English youths are interested in Soccer and Rugby because it's their premier game.

If ECB fail to create anything positive for their youths then surely they could be big loser in this all because soccer and rugby players earning are far better than cricket players which is surely not ideal situation and ICC is surely had no intention to change their policies which are most important for giving back-up to these countries with the UAE and Gulf are surely taking good advantage of this all.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 03, 2023, 07:23:39 AM
At least in limited overs cricket, Afghanistan is one step ahead of Sri Lanka. Look at the number of Afghan players who have participated in IPL 2023: Naveen Ul Haq, Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmed and Rahmanullah Gurbaz are a few of the players who impressed their fans during this season. On the other hand, apart from Matheesha Pathirana, I couldn't recall any Lankan player performing exceptionally in the IPL this time. Sri Lanka had the home advantage and the Afghan side lacked proper preparation. And despite all that, yesterday it was an easy win for Afghanistan.
There is no doubt now we have Afghanistan as good team in white-ball format from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka which is good for the game because with this competition will be improved in Asia, and we will have good fight for the better results with many difficulties and not able to play at home but still Afghanistan doing amazing stuff in this format.

Even Asian cricket is not in good shape but still with six teams which have all native players giving their best and entertaining world with their skills and quality now I have feeling Afghanistan's cricket future is bright even uncertainty still on due to many factors, but things are going well-balanced for them many quality batsmen and bowlers are also coming which is another aspect.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 02, 2023, 08:44:10 PM
Leipzig was the team that beat Bayern to take it to last game, if it wasn't for that then Dortmund wouldn't even have a chance to win the title, Bayern would have simply be the champion anyway, Leipzig won and Dortmund got a small hope at least.

If a team is good enough to take out Bayern from the title leadership, then they are good enough to beat Frankfurt as well. I am fully expecting them to be winning the title and that should be a lot better, I know for a fact that it is not going to be easy, but at the very least we are going to end up with something a bit different, and that should be a bit better in the end and I could see it becoming an easy Leipzig win which would not be a good return, but you can do like 2.5+ over and it could be much better.
