341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Stellar (XLM) do it again ? on: November 05, 2019, 04:37:15 AM

I think this is a desperate move by Stellar. They are really eager push the price up again to attract investors. Having a 20B supply right now is a good call for them since the current market condition is not good and having tons of supply will just make their token more useless. I'm expecting more development rather than cutting the total supply. And also more marketing to attract more users of the platform.
Mass adoption is what Stellar needs. If stellar just follows the marketing path of Ripple, They will surely surpass them since XRP is a very centralized token.

That's just one consideration when it comes to Stellar (XLM). There are more than 20 billion XLM so far in their circulating supply but the total supply is a staggering 100+ billion XLM. Which means that the supply we have in the market for now is only around 1/5 of the total supply. This might be bothersome to a lot of people. Burning is one way to somehow pacify them. But of course project development is the most interesting way for the project to grow.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto-powered social network a trend? on: November 05, 2019, 03:45:14 AM
I noticed that there are quite a number of crypto-powered social media popping out in recent years. I believe the most successful one is Steemit, which most of us can agreed on. There are also other social network platforms like Appics, Uhive and etc. I am curious to know if anyone of you is willing to switch from the daily social network app like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to crypto-powered social network. And if you could, do share your reasons for doing so.

Steemit has made the lead in this niche. They were the earliest who came out creating their own token for their site. And who will forget Telegram (GRAM) with its billion-worth ICO? Telegram has now the highest worth of this kind of company who turned into tokenizing their services as their way of joining the crypto trend.

I think it is not material to me whether the site is crypto-powered or not. Convenience has to be the first consideration. I am using the social media sites where my friends are.
343  Economy / Economics / Re: The market starts looking real nice in Q2, 2019 on: November 04, 2019, 03:58:29 AM
when entering the second quarter the price of bitcoin began to be good the highest price of bitcoin this year was in july with a price of $ 13k then after that it continued to decline until the last 2 weeks ago the price of bitcoin was only $ 7.5k and a few days later to $ 9k to reach now . in my opinion this year the bitcoin price of bitcoin will remain in the range below $ 10k. I think the price of bitcoin will go up high when bitcoin halving day next year.

The year 2019 will probably end with Bitcoin's price reaching more or less $15,000. That price is long overdue. We have so many days left in the year. If the price of Bitcoin could rise as high as $2,000 overnight, it would also easily rise $6,000 in a couple of months. The remaining days of 2019 are bright. People are facing the end of 2019 as well as the beginning of 2020 with hype and strong hope. There are so many reasons for that.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 100 years of deflation and disinflation - BSOV vs. Bitcoin on: November 04, 2019, 03:27:38 AM
I really didn't realize a certain belief in BSOV. For this deflation to work, the business needs to have many people know and use your coin.
Like Bitcoin, although it has no deflation mechanism, people make it deflation by buying at a higher price, because they have faith that bitcoin will have a higher demand in the future.
What BSOV now needs to do is increase purchasing demand, not give us these charts.

Exactly. If the matter on the table is the difference between Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin, people do not care at all about deflation and disinflation, about where the two will be headed in the next 100 years. They will only care about Bitcoin SV being the shitcoin of Craig Wright and Bitcoin being the coin of Satoshi Nakamoto. And that difference is enough for them to choose Bitcoin rather than Bitcoin SV.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kakaotalk's Blockchain adoption Klaytn is growing well! on: November 03, 2019, 03:26:56 AM
Even two weeks ago, maximum people did not know about Klaytn Blockchain Network! It's from the Korean biggest social network platform Kakao Talk! Kakao has 50 Million regular users! So, there should be much hype and talk about Klaytn, but there wasn't.

Now, Klaytn has some great news! They keep listing on reputed exchanges! Its KLAY coin has been listed on Upbit and BW exchange and ut has a very good volume already! They are partnering with strong project and promoting in exchanges!

What is your prediction about Klaytn, guys? Will Klaytn enter into the top 50 coins rank?
Hope that will happen. Klaytn is really showing their strength as they constantly parner with big businesses. In the future, I think that Klaytn will soon all link up with new projects or large businesses.
We will have a new unicorn and now is a good time to buy Klaytn.

The top 50 rank is hard to reach. I don't think Klatyn (KLAY) will reach that easily. Kakao Talk is huge and it has indeed millions and millions of regular users but the question is how much of these millions of users will use Klaytn (KLAY)? Not even half of Kakao Talk users are aware of this KLAY token I suppose. But we will see how Klaytn (KLAY) will play their game. They have a lot of potentials as well as the resources to compete with the market and offer something new.
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price to Asuka will be 8700$ November 2020 on: November 03, 2019, 02:46:54 AM
As you can see, the famous Asuka
Asuka only became famous because of the past 2 predictions he made which is somewhat near with the price of Bitcoin on that months.

However, I just want to point out that her $8750k may not be a typo instead of $ 87500 k because I believe that Bitcoin still has one more impulsive wave which can reach $56k according to asuka next July 2020, then the ABC correction of the whole 5 waves that lasted 11 years sending Bitcoin below $10k or more less. Any thoughts??
I don't really believe in predictions to be honest but what he said there is almost impossible. Going from $56k to below $10k in a short amount of time? I don't think that it will happen. It is only a prediction and it can happen or not but I don't think that this will happen in the next years if it really is $8750.

What made Asuka famous was not only his 2 previous predictions that were more or less correct. What made Asuka famous really is his anonymity, which is mystery to a lot, and then his very bold predictions that everybody thinks impossible yet loves. Asuka may be another random internet man who gives his own version of prediction but he suddenly gained popularity and his predictions were used to spread FOMO. Had everybody known the identity behind this Asuka, his predictions wouldn't have gained popularity.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DEX's ever get the liquidity and volume of Centralized Exchanges today? on: November 02, 2019, 03:14:19 AM
I doubt it. Centralized exchanges are getting stronger day by day. They got the volume, they got the trading pairs, they got the coins, they got the bulk of traders, and they got the nods of the government regulating agencies. I prefer decentralized exchanges over centralized ones but then liquidity as well as coins listed for trading are more important right now. But I hope the DEXes will put up a much better competition against the centralized exchanges.
348  Economy / Economics / Re: US Congressman: Facebook Should Adopt Bitcoin, Drop Libra Project on: November 02, 2019, 02:44:20 AM
If that congressman thinks that they will take his advice, he is dreaming I'd like to think that this congressman is keeping Bitcoin because he is very bullish on it, that's not going to happen, if any guy can create their own Cryptocurrency Facebook deserves to create their own chain, they can create a better chain, and of course Facebook wants full control and own system of distribution, they do not want to be a part of the system, they are the creator of the system.
There is a deep reason behind it for sure.
But yes, it is impossible for Facebook to drop the Libra Project as easy as that. Facebook start that project and they are almost ready to launch the project. If they will drop it, they will only waste their own hard work to create and build Libra. Another thing, Facebook cannot control bitcoin that's why they will push the Libra project for sure.

The worst that could happen to this Libra Project is to be shelved for some time. Facebook will not allow the Libra Project to just die because the personalities in the government are against it. That sounds too shallow a reason for Mark Zuckerberg to call everything off and bid goodbye to Libra. Mark knows, as everybody else, that cryptocurrency is the future. He knows that the obstacles he and his project are facing are very temporary.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: November 01, 2019, 03:12:21 AM
There's no banks for crypto because it's just a transparent currency wherein not the same with fiat that has a real figure. And it's impossible to happen even in the future because you know crypto currency are not illegal in other country ,so even some of the countries accepted it there's no way they will make a banks just for it.  Because it's still can cause bad things in the community in my own opinion.

There are already so called cryptocurrency banks actually, both online and physical. Although the idea of a bank for cryptocurrency is ironic because cryptocurrency is basically created with the design to counter the banking system, it cannot be avoided because many physical banks are now joining the community, and have in fact made necessary changes already to make themselves open for the crypto development. In addition to this, there are also apps, sites, and crypto products that are offering services similar to that of the banks.
350  Economy / Economics / Re: JUST IN: Chinese Central Bank to Launch Digital Currency Called "DCEP" on: November 01, 2019, 02:47:48 AM
This is an old news already. China has always been mumbling about creating its own cryptocurrency. But until now, this is still a plan and there is no concrete step yet that has been taken toward the actual creation of this state-sponsored digital currency. In fact, some analysts in the crypto field are saying that it will take many years before china will finally release their digital yuan. This news is going out in the open once again because of the announcement of the president.

Old news but recently it looks like they are going to release it the soonest. However, we has seen many governments around the globe who also did launch their your crypto but so far I haven't heard any success story. Anyways, I had a feeling that Chinese government wanted to have their own just to test how their population will react to it. I mean they have been one of the prime movers before, specially that they have the majority of bitcoin mining operations. But since 2017, they have been anti-bitcoin or at least doesn't want a coin that is decentralised. And that's why finally they have decided to release their own crypto and see if their people are going to invest on it just like what they are doing with Bitcoin.

How soonest is soonest? In 1 year's time? Or is it a couple of years from now? Half a decade or a full one? The government of China, its central bank to be exact, has already started doing research as early as 2014 on its grand plan to create their own digital currency based on their fiat. They wanted to start getting away from the paper money and shift to the latest trend. But until now, 5 years later, the news is still about the plan to launch it.

352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: October 31, 2019, 02:26:53 AM
Aside from monetary incentives in crypto, I rarely come across discussions pertaining to why the average enthusiast in crypto is involved with crypto. While the answer may be pretty straightforward, there are some outliers.

Crypto means much more than just monetary incentives, it's essentially a technical revolution that has involved the masses, something you and I can be apart of. Ultimately, that's probably one of my greatest interests for blockchain and crypto. Another big intrigue for me is the evolution of blockchain tech in itself. I've been around for quite sometime and have witnessed the evolution of cryptos, businesses, behaviors and attitudes.

These 2 factors, along with several others, are the reasons I continue to be involved on a community and business level with crypto. It's become a hobby, passion and business for me.

It is always a combination of joining the latest technology, making money, and learning new things. But I guess the topmost reason for a lot of people is that they will earn. Especially to those who are living in a country where Bitcoin or crypto is not yet legal or even illegal, they cannot appreciate the use of these coins. They may enjoy learning them here but it is of no use if they cannot apply it in real life. That is why they better put money first before other reasons.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Do We Still Have Legit Altcoin Bounties? on: October 30, 2019, 03:38:43 AM
There is only one legit altcoin bounty in a hundred right now. That is the truth. Sometimes, I am really discouraged to exert more effort and push for an extra mile promoting your project when you can see little effort from the developers or even the bounty managers themselves. The project that I am promoting currently, for example, is a great project as far as my personal judgement is concerned. But then it also is extending, late spreadsheet update, just like the rest.
354  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: October 30, 2019, 03:13:37 AM
What if all those big corporates and businesses starts using crypto as a mode of payment just to avoid tax which will cause a direct loss to the government which uses tax for the betterment of the country. This might not affect corrupt countries as it doesn't matter because tax money goes to politician's coffers but what about developed nations?

Yes, there will be an economic crash if all the big corporations and businessmen will start using cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment for the sake of avoiding paying taxes. The country will not move forward. Instead, it will be crumbling down to the ground. If this occurs, there will be chaos instead of order. The state will be converted into a state of the mob where the strongest rules. This is not something I wish to happen because of crypto.
355  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Buyers Club on: October 29, 2019, 03:59:12 AM
What Op has done can be done individually. For a regular investment purpose there is no need for a club. Maybe through this club one can get to communicate and share information related to the market trend and everything associated with cryptocurrency. Clubs have a big role in promoting services, and in such a way these buyers clubs too could contribute in the promotional process of bitcoin.

It can and should be done individually. No need to broadcast it somewhere public. But if the idea is simply a group where people could hang out and discuss about Bitcoin development or good news or perhaps a rough amount on your additional Bitcoin I guess it is not totally bad at all. After all, everything is made anonymous. Nobody can know the identity behind each and every member's username or even wallet.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coming Soon: China's Own Cryptocurrency on: October 29, 2019, 03:28:58 AM
I know that some will be arguing that what China is cooking right now is not actually a real cryptocurrency due to its centralized and state-controlled nature. But what the heck, China is the next world superpower and it is seeing the vision of using cryptocurrency to further its entrenched economic position all the world.

I am seeing a great potential of this coming state cryptocurrency to be utilized in transacting business with China or in eCommerce department, and this is a huge potential. Jack Ma must already be thinking something how to exploit this great opportunity.

Are you seeing what I describe here? China is conquering the globe without using any sword...

Enough of this china topic. China will never ever create a real cryptocurrency. This country will never ever give enough freedom to its citizens. Having said this, the country will never ever create a decentralized system of currency that will provide all the billion and more chinese the power over their money. Can you imagine a country where the state holds all the power giving the power over money to its subjects? That is too ironic to happen in real life.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: October 28, 2019, 04:00:29 AM
People have use the cex eversince crypto trading happened. Dex become more relevant when many launches their own but to be honest, there are more list to these but only these have some good volume other dex are nothing and completely unused in my opinion. I still prefer cex actually due to high volume and liquidity. Ive using dex when I have some target alt to buy for a low price.

Volume and liquidity are the main edge of CEX over DEX. Traders prefer volume and liquidity over whether the exchange is centralized or not. They create profit out of these two aspects. Although there are some traders who really dislike KYC and other related requirements that are implemented by centralized exchanges, some of these exchanges are offering a high limit to unverified accounts. So in a way, they can still do their trading on centralized exchanges at the same time avoid all those requirements. In the process, DEX is left at the side.
358  Economy / Economics / Re: Report: More Than 50% of the Worlds Banks May Be Too Weak To Survive A Recession on: October 27, 2019, 02:50:03 AM
A recession occurs because of mismanagement, boom and bust cycle, geopolitical instability, etc., not because of Bitcoin.

I echo these thoughts. Even though bitcoin per se is considered as disruptive in today's standards, I still don't buy that bitcoin and other crypto are the reasons why there will be a recession. For the most part, banks and governments cause these recessions themselves until it creates a chain reaction on different parts of the industry because by then, everyone and their mothers would be in a hurry to get their assets out of a bank, causing it to implode from the inside and boom, money is gone.

Recession is an integral part of the economic cycle. It is not there simply because a failure is done somewhere along the way. It is there because it is part and parcel of the economic cycle. The economic activities of a certain country or even region constantly expand and contract. That is the norm in the market. The spending rises and falls. And when the spending falls way below the normal level, it is when recession takes place. It is as old as humanity. It does not have anything to do with Bitcoin.

360  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes a Fiat worthless? on: October 27, 2019, 02:01:33 AM
We have come across so many national currency becoming worthless and recently we have heard the news of barter system in Zimbabwe due to the fall in the value of national currency but what really makes the Fiat worthless? Is it corruption or war or national economical crisis? Or the National GDP which makes it fall?

A combination of all. It hardly falls straight to worthlessness with only a single factor playing. Normally, it will be the interplay of falling GDP, enormous rise of inflation, corruption, economic crises, and some other factors. Over printing of fiat is also enough reason for it to lose its value. Wars, especially huge enough to cover the entire country, could also kill their fiat system.
