361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: January 07, 2018, 08:33:04 PM
Great read on XRP. While they are busy trying to streamline the middleman process for banks and forex and rely on banks to accept them as a service.
We are busy streamlining  the removal of the middleman even for international trade and don't rely on banks and forex brokers to accept us. The demand for companies to be able to profit more from international trading and treasury hedging, in my opinion, has much more appeal in regards to risk of adoption as compared to Ripples potential.

I see this project good for common people.
I doubt companies will use this as companies are legal entities and are bound by law (rules and regulations) imposed
by the government which are usually corrupt by the banking and other cartels.
The governments will usually make laws that will give them power to retain control over
the society and not in favor of the common people.

Hello.

I have few questions about this project.

If i understood well from the thread the coin has a finite supply and no more coins will be created?
I see that reward is been awarded for staking , from where are this coins awarded from?
Are those rewards from the transaction fees or how this works?

I have bought small amount on the exchange i want to store it locally
Which wallet do you advise?!
If i use the web wallet can i later import the keys into any desktop client if i use the multisignature account?

If I want to stake securely on vps do i need to have 2 full nodes or can it be done
with 1 full node and 1  web wallet?

Thanks.

364  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Bankovni transfer na Bitstamp? on: January 05, 2018, 12:20:34 PM

Nikakvih problema nije bilo...

I would like to realise some of my investment(original stakeholder). I intend going to the bank to let them know that I will be depositing a large sum. They will of course require proof that I acquired these funds honestly. What proof should I show them? What have you been doing to solve this problem?

Did you pay a nominal amount or get a free stake?

Dig out your original post registering yourself, the NXT or BTC payment if you did one, and show them the XEM wallet where the money lived. That'll be a complete trail. They won't understand any of it but it'll look impressive.

I have asked directly from bank and tax office. They said "all clear".

Nominal tax in Finland is only 34%. Sound's fair, doesn't it?

Don't know if is fair to you.
It depends what your country gives you for the amount you pay Wink
Either way there are countries in the world that are not requiring so much % of your wealth. Roll Eyes
The question is are you willing to move there and if so what is the right legal procedure to do so?   Huh

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: January 04, 2018, 03:00:53 PM

try

Code:
CGO_ENABLED=0 go get github.com/skycoin/skycoin/...

Thanks a lot.
I was able to install and run the wallet.
The UI is very nice and simple I like it.

I have question about security.
The wallet does not require any password to open also I see
the .wlt file is a json file containing the seed and other data in plain text.

After wallet backup can I remove this file from the computer or delete the seed from it
or this file should be always present in
/home/$USER/.skycoin/
directory?

Never delete the seed. This is the most important concept - the private key is derived from the initial seed function.

Treat the seed as a private key.

Ok I understand that concept but my question was if I could make a backup of the seed and private key and remove it from the computer.
The seed is currently there in plain text so I was wondering if  there will be some kind of encryption available prevent  stealing like in bitcoin or litecoin wallets?

Well not really.
I try to add a new address in the address book but I alway get this message
Quote
Could not approve withdrawal

The withdrawal approval code is invalid or has expired.

whenever I click the link from the received email.
The email arrives immediately after i click the save address button.

I have retried to click on that link a lot but without luck.

Hi freigeist. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience. We have been experiencing an issue with our Withdrawal Address Verification emails. Our developers are aware of the issue and are working towards a solution. However we do know that this issue is intermittent, and does not usually affect multiple addresses.

Please add a new, different withdrawal address.
You should be able to approve this new address without issue. If you do not have another address please create one in any third party wallet and transfer your funds to that address. From there you will have full access to your funds.

Again, I'm very sorry for this inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

Hello.
Your advice helped me.
The address was approved although I have received the same error message when I have tried.
I thought it wasn't approved  until I logged in the next day and saw the address in the select box.

Thank you.

Hello.

Wasn't there a 32 bit linux wallet
available for download on the skycoin webpage?

Where can I download 32 bit linux wallet?

Thanks.

It was mislabelled, it was actually an ARM wallet

You can run the wallet from source easily, https://github.com/skycoin/skycoin

Thanks.
I have tried to install from source.
I have successfully installed and configured golang then I went to execute this command:
Code:
go get github.com/skycoin/skycoin/...

than i got this strange output:
Code:
# github.com/skycoin/skycoin/vendor/github.com/tang0th/go-chacha20/chacha

Idk if they have done something, but Kraken is working well today

I still didn't risk trying to make a trade but I must say at least the withdrawal pages are working without errors.

Damm I hope cryptopia will change something is really shitty now there...
1) no verification daily limit like 2000$
2) and when you need withdraw fee is 1 sky while sky is 14$ same time Doge is for 3 Doge.

I no wonder while they have almost no fucking volume... they should update/lower fees because this is in their intrest.
Echange goes ok while trading but those fees are stupid right now when all went x10... 1-2$ fee on not 20$... and you need multiple to bypas stupid verification

Yeah or increase the limit for unverified accounts.
Anyway they have so high fees for some coins and for others not. What the reason for this?
LTC withdraw fee is 20x higher than on other exchanges.  Huh Undecided

I think Kraken is a nice exchange, although it has some major performance problems now and then. But overall Im totally satisfied with the service Kraken is providing.

Does anybody know why Kraken is listing some Cryptos with not that much traction while other with bigger market cap and bigger community dont get listed there?

Out of curiosity, what are the criterias to get listed on Kraken?

I think they need to pay 50K € or something like that to get listed.
Not all are willing to pay.
Anyway is pointless to list any new coin/token there until the
performance issues are resolved.

375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: December 13, 2017, 01:05:21 AM

Learned that lesson the hard way. Did some day/week trading with different cryptos. Initially bought some btc back at 3000€/btc. Used some of it to buy different alts. Now guess what? Gotta pay ~1600€ tax just because i used some btc which went high up in price.
Not to mention the fifo(first in first out) shit.

Im for sure not going to trade anything again lol. I know i didnt make a loss there since btc went up and i still got that value, but its bound to btc right now and im not going to exchange it to fiat.

Can you explain how this works?
You traded at one exchange and them moved to another the BTC or what?
How and who calculate how much you have to pay?
I thought that this is related to FIAT not crypto i mena that you have to pay when you withdraw
the FIAT from the exchange to your bank account.

Also is this 0% tax over year valid only for BTC or any other crypto?

Hello !
Can't login to your account . I do not remember the password .
I have a private key and the WLT file . Help , what to do ?

If you have your private key you can
recreate your account by importing the private key into NanoWallet.

https://nem.io/downloads/

I suggest you to use the universal client.
This work nice in chrome browser.

I did as you said but it didn't help .
Still need the password of the wallet that I forgot.
Everything else I have , that is the private key and the WLT file.
What to do ? Please help .

Sorry to hear that.
If you have a private key in plain format then you do not need the password.

If you have the wallet file then you have your private key in your wallet file encrypted
therefore you need the password to open it with the NanoWallet.

You could win that amount only if you bet 1 eth.
How is that?
It clearly says 0.01eth/ticket = 70000ETH jackpot.

1ETH/ticket = 7000000ETH  Shocked

0.001ETH/ticket = 7000ETH

If the win is higher then the pot you will get the payment  in rounds (rates)
until you get the full amount you have won.
Unless you are owner of the site you should be quiet, because what you just wrote is nonsense and can only mean that they don't have money to pay jackpot higher than 6K eth, with that said they shouldn't even offer so high jackpot.
Are you owner?

No I'm not the owner.

Yeah you are right I did not went to check the exact numbers.
Looking at that 7000000ETH seams really high amount for payout.  Roll Eyes

Sorry I'm not English native speaker maybe you have not understood my explanations.
I would just say RTFM (whitepaper)  https://smartbillions.com/docs/SmartBillions_Smartpaper.pdf
on page 24 you have explanation of "Wins payouts".
Maybe it will be more clear.
379  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Koji LTC novčanik? on: December 09, 2017, 07:41:30 PM
Pozdrav.

Koji LTC novčanik koristite za čuvanje vašeg bogatstva?
Koji je po vama najbolji novčanik, a da ne zahtjeva skidanje cijelog lanca lokalno?

Hvala.

I've just seen forum add.

How estimated win can be 11 times higher than pot size?
Even if I choose lowest ticket value, which is 0.001 ETH, estimated win is higher than pot.

I don't understand this either:
Quote
The bet results are the hashes of the third future block

Third block, it seems that numbers are changing on each block.
Can you link us to each hash every time numbers change?

How do you pick numbers from hash?

You could win that amount only if you bet 1 eth.
If the win is higher then the pot you will get the payment  in rounds (rates)
until you get the full amount you have won.

the 6 number that you pick should match the last 6 hash hex numbers and the correct order.

example hash:
0xc1f80fb3cf0aeff8ed45272dcd6ee5e78e93494306ce767643e6d02b5e35f65f

translated into numbers will be: 3, 5, 15, 6, 5, 15

your example pick:
6, 5, 1, 0, 13, 15

your winning numbers will be
6, 5, 1, 0, 13, 15
