362  Other / Off-topic / Re: If someone figures out Strong AI, how do we keep humans safe? on: August 13, 2015, 07:52:07 AM
Combat it with IA. The ultimate humans vs robots.

IA is a few decades away though I would gladly volunteer for it.

Don't be so sure, reports have been made that a supercomputer has figured out that it exists...
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum dump starts? on: August 12, 2015, 06:26:14 AM
The market cap was around 170, now 88 ?

Price halved in a single day?

Is this the start of unsurprising inevitable dump?

why is Ethereum price acting this way it is so disappointing . i thought it would be better than this

That's only logical, people invested, wanted a return, just like any other premine Wink The real value starts now, as development of different concepts will be implemented, it's rising since 0.002, so lets wait and see Smiley

366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I go about purchasing a large amount of bitcoins on: August 11, 2015, 12:02:55 PM
If you shit money, and 500k honestly means nothing to you, then you are 10x better investing that in Litecoin or stocks that have some sort of safety attached to them. I'm not sure if you are actually considering spending 500k, but the time to take such a risk investment was when Bitcoin was far below the $100 mark. With more exchanges, bank approvals, government regulations, and worldwide acceptance, Bitcoin has become far more stable than it has in the past. I just personally think you're throwing away $500k unless you could realistically be okay with losing that amount of money.

What would be your crypto investment advice, since you have such extensive history on this forum Smiley
367  Economy / Economics / Re: Debit cards with a reasonable limit per year on: August 09, 2015, 08:23:38 AM
I like those bitcoin debit cards also... but yes, they only allow for very small transactions unverified. There is no way around it as far as I can tell.

All these "money transactions" need to be verified by law to avoid money laundering and criminal activity. Bitcoin is too well known for that by now.

I would accumulate the bitcoins, never convert them to fiat and hope you find that person that will sell their house or car to you and accept bitcoins for it. Technically you probably will need to report it on your taxes as "barter" but who knows about it if you don't tell? Smiley

To be honest I find those bitcoin debit cards pretty useless, they are of no actual use for now. And all of them claim that their debit cards work worldwide in all ATMS. anybody here who actually uses it and has tried it? I don't really understand why would anybody cash out their bitcoins, especially through ATMs. I'd never cash out my bitcoins man, I'd diversify my trades but not cash shit out.

Miners need to cash out to pay electricall bills Smiley

Paying bills electronically was introduced shortly after the growth of internet in the masses.I don't think paying electricity bills would be such a big issue, and people who mine for a living might hardly be able to afford paying electricity with that kind of money. If you are a miner, tell me how much profit do you really make? Smiley

No profit at all Grin But that shouldn't be the point....

Please can you post pictures of the Hologram side.

Picture above, but found another one below:

The holograms are metallic and when removed leave VOID marks on the coin - they have been designed (like coins) to make them as hard as possible to copy and each coin has a 'window' (so that owners can see/ check the public key) which is manually cut out

Again, very interested in prices, hope not titan style Smiley

371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the darkcoin/dash instamine matters on: August 07, 2015, 05:09:44 AM
When you think about it, it's impossible to justify the instamine with the statement that it gives "incentive to developer". Yea, that's awesome for the developer, but basically ruins the point of crypocurrencies in the first place where you're not supposed to have things like that happening. It's outright dishonest.

Yet Satoshi has 300mn worth in bitcoins.

He didnt change Bitcoins block reward or coin supply at all like what happened to darkcoin. So he mined those bitcoins fairly. Also bitcoin is the first cryptocoin and kind of immune from that, even if you consider Satoshi mining bitcoin a mistake, you shouldve learned from that mistake, not do the same thing and make it 10x worse.

How can it be 10x worse, when Satoshi's coins alone are worth 10x the entire DRK marketcap? Anyway.

? I'm not talking about prices of the coins, Marketcap is irrelevant in this discussion.

It's absoletely not irrelevant in this discussion, people are talking about fraud, Satoshi did exactly the same, and his coins alone are more than the TOTAL market cap of dash, how is that not relevant!?

375  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $600 before December? on: August 06, 2015, 01:01:24 PM
Trend looks good, but $600... That's impossible

IMPOSSIBLE, that is how you describe it!? Hope you agree that it's not possible to say this about bitcoin, you simply cannot know.... If a Warren Buffet or such a person decides tomorrow to convert a billion to bitcoin, we're allready there, so impossible is simply not true Smiley It's not likely, that I will agree Smiley
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $600 before December? on: August 06, 2015, 12:56:21 PM
The price upward basically triggers based on demand for the bitcoins. If more and more companies accepts bitcoins then surely bitcoin price will move up and I don't think this it will happen so fast by this year end to reach price 600. I think it may go up to 400 in this year.

If more and more companies start accepting, it will drive the price DOWN... Those companies need to have bitcoin exchanged to fiat in order to pay the bills. Dumping causes a price drop. Remember when Microsoft started accepting, in a week the price went down 100 dollars.  There's a world to be won to make options available for companies to spend their bitcoin. There are alot of options now, but it's more for the geek, not for serious business.

I think somewhere around 450/500, but who knows Smiley
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: August 06, 2015, 12:25:32 PM
Nice thinking I'm also hoping that Bitcoin will again go to sky.
Currently it is just new and need some time to establish but I think that one day it will remove paper currency from the world.

LOL bitcoin will replace paper currency? I wil say that this is impossible even bitcoin will become much popular and Im against this thinking. It will not happen I swear. But of course I respect your opinion. Smiley

Even I don't think that bitcoin can replace any major currency, no doubt, it will become more popular in the coming future, but replacing fiat is something we cannot expect, as fiat is considered to be market leader and cannot be replaced so easily.

FIAT will be replaced bu 0's and 1's, plans are in a far stadium and it is exactly what most governments want, total control over the money suppply. FIAT will be replaced by strictly computers, fiat is worthless paper, the real value comes from the 0's and 1's in the computer, which we all trust as true, while the reality is that it's all created out of thin air, and we work our asses off with real value, in order to earn worthless paper...

I'll end with a quote, if the people would truly understand our economic and financial system, we'll have a revolution by tomorrow....

few good posters but so many scammers, broke losers, and idiots with nothing insightful to say.  it's really gone downhill.
bct seemed better a year ago, maybe my imagination.
Calm down man !!
Just encourage newbie to post good and you will see BCT high up in virtue in another 1 year.
About the scammers , much of the scammers are using OLD accounts or are OLD guys of 2013 and 2014 ,which goes against your statement that BCT was better a year back.

My thoughts exactly. If you see a scam it's mostly old acconts bought by new persons (I guess). It's the same shit as allways in my opninion Smiley
