361  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin-Qt, the future Bitcoin client GUI [user input needed] on: September 08, 2011, 05:23:50 PM
One thing which should be change before merge! Progressbar which inform about sync process should be like in Bitcoin Wallet for Android. This mean that 0% is than, when we run client and it is unsynchronized. Now it shows 99% after start and it not changing until full synchronization. This is not functional if not inform about progress.

Apparently most of the anti Bruce fraction in here believes that Bruce has some mythical powers. It seems they really believe that Bruce can steal their coins by doing his "bitcoin show". That is the only explanation why so much of them are afraid of Bruce. Same thing as in in the late middle ages.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Arbitrage Opportunities - Making $$$ on: September 08, 2011, 05:09:55 PM
Try out Bitinstant.com

MtGx Coupon codes to TradeHill instantly, take advantage of the spread.
While this is really great, it is still a "one-way street", and completely ignoring all the other exchanges too.
Any ambitions to add more exchanges/directions?
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Show on OnlyOneTV.com on: September 08, 2011, 05:05:04 PM
Regardless of what he may have done in the past, his show still provides a great forum to discuss Bitcoin news and for business types to announce their new ideas and products. So I still support him and am glad he's continuing to do the show. Frankly, I think he has done way more for bitcoin and its surrounding businesses than most people here, scammer or not.

365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinHunter now censoring posts on SolidCoin forums on: September 07, 2011, 09:16:15 PM
It's really starting to become a cult-like enviroment.

Great, I see he took my advice https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=41946.0
Now just wait a few weeks and solidcoin will be a cult only thing - the coin/software/blockchain thing will no longer be necessary for him to have tons of followers.
Will be interesting to watch if it turns out to be like a religion or more a political party.
366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to teach you how to make money. [Sticky Please] on: September 07, 2011, 01:25:01 PM
My personal financial struggle has nothing to do with the system I am trying to share. Please guys, stay on topic and keep those good questions coming. The guy who's trying to figure out the "intellectual property" this thread is for that, just ask me questions dude and I'll help you out the best way I can.

Maria.

PS. I am a Liar, Scammer, Comedian, Con-artist, Bruce or anything else you want to call me. Yet, I am the only one sharing a GOLD  SECRET giving out FREE BTC just for asking questions. Evaluate yourself.
OK - here is the related question:
How much difference in profit did you make when you "enhanced" your trading by making bold statements on this forum?
Seriously. I know you can only estimate the difference, because there is no way to repeat it under the exact same circumstances. There was speculation after your statements that you just made them to amplify your profit. So seriously, how much?
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why you still shouldn't trust any 3rd party wallets. (Mt. Gox) on: September 07, 2011, 01:11:12 PM
We try to push yubikey usage a lot, to avoid this. That's why we offered more than 1000 free yubikeys so far, and hope people understand that security is not that simple.
How does the yubikey help in this case? I mean once the phishing site has the username, password and one yubikey code they can still login to the real mtgox.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do businesses and customers actually need from digital currency? on: September 07, 2011, 10:42:53 AM
5) Fast transaction confirmation - future target: same speed (or better) as credit and debit card payments. I can not cave customers hanging around at the counter for 10+ minutes.

I don't know why this comes up on a regular basis.

0 confirmations are ok for your sandwich, takes 1 second, and a double spend attack is much more difficult than using a stolen credit card or just doing a chargeback.
6+ confirmations when you buy a car/house/airplane/whatever - the customer can wait in this case
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ALERT] SOLIDCOIN DESIGN CONTEST on: September 07, 2011, 10:30:34 AM
Whether people like him or not, the truth is this currency is now being held by thousands of people.

Please provide a source for this assertion, other than "CoinHunter said so".

I think FlipPros statement could almost be true. There where quite a number of people mining solidcoin to rip off early investors. So there could be, well maybe not thousands, but hundreds of wallets out there. However, I am pretty sure that 99% of them are more or less empty as of now. But still, someone that has 0.0000001 sc is technically holding some of the currency. Of course 0.0000001 sc on the current exchange rate is exactly 0 BTC (less than 1e-8). So the untold truth is that the combined value of all those (almost) empty wallets is way below 1 BTC, or in other words nothing.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fastcoin on: September 07, 2011, 10:18:14 AM
The whole idea of fastcoin is to keep blk0001.dat growth as small as possible.  It does this by having 3% fee.
I see you have not too much clue about how bitcoin works.
The (storage) size of a transaction does not depend on the actual transaction value.

Look at a recent "attack" (it is suspected that this comes from solidcoin/coinhunter):
http://blockexplorer.com/block/0000000000000305f98ffbe1db8445ce847fb9a924551945b465386c828f136f
Some huge (storage) transaction containing just some tiny values. In your model that would cost near to nothing.

So the only way to keep the block chain small is to charge per kilobyte (bitcoin), not some % value.
Coinhunter made the same mistake as you, and so the solidcoin block chain almost 100MB a week.

371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to teach you how to make money. [Sticky Please] on: September 07, 2011, 08:25:49 AM
Maria-

Can you provide any block explorer links for your large transactions mentioned above? I couldn't find them myself. This should clear all doubts regarding your intentions, only then will people have open minds for your advice.

She can't because they don't exist.

Tradehill hasn't even done 25k worth of volume in the entire week since her post. And a big chunk of that was sells as the price has gone down in the last 24 hours. So we know for 100% certain that even if she represented 100% of tradehill's volume (reality is probably 0%) that she is still lying.

Similarly for MtGox, volume showed abnormally low volumes since her post, the highest amount of volume has been sells in the last 24 hours.

If she's claiming 80k of the volume last week (horseshit) she would have lost thousands, not made thousands.

There's no scenario under which this troll/scammer could be telling the truth. Be wary of any "business offers" they make.

Wow! Maria is at least a liar, that much seems to be confirmed by evidence. So maybe (s)he is a con artist.
I am writing "(s)he" because it is possible that (s)he lied about his/her gender too. Maybe being innocent little Maria has some advantage to being lets say gay Bruce Wagner if you are a con artist.
Yet people still install some compiled program written by him/her.
I am all the time again and again amazed by the stupidity of people. I am sure (s)he could even name it "wallet-stealer.exe" and yet people would show up installing it.
This brings me to the 10 BTC question:
Maria, are you CoinHunter or his wife or his husband?
372  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin-Qt, the future Bitcoin client GUI [user input needed] on: September 07, 2011, 01:21:11 AM
Thanks; we really ought to do a parallel release of binaries with 0.4.0, and maybe keep it up until the core dev team finally merges it.
I think everybody would like to merge bitcoin-qt as soon as the 0.4 release is shipped (see the bitcoin-dev mailing list for the current known bugs).

Closing the dozens of wxWidgets-related GUI bugs in the issues list will give me great pleasure...

Doesn't bitcoin-qt already contain the 0.4 core? If yes, what is the reason to even release bitcoin 0.4? Why not release 0.4-qt instead?
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins are not ecommerce friendly. So far no alternatives are either. on: September 06, 2011, 11:10:03 PM
a) Where can I download this "credit card"? How much GB?
b) Convince the developers that the bitcoin client handles the "bitcoin:" urls. They always use lame excuses.
c) Use bitcoin-qt, much better ui
d) The shop could give the OK on 0 confirmation, and deliver on 6 confirmation.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coinhunter is wasting his talent on: September 06, 2011, 11:00:36 PM
I think we can all agree that coinhunter is acting like a dick. We most probably can agree the the changes he made was without knowledge of what the code actually does. Basically he delivered some crap product. Then when someone tells him about some bug/issue he simple ignores it or even blame the one that discovered it being a terrorist. So he is probably the worse guy leading any software development.

Yet, all that said, it seems he does have a lot of followers. We knew some of them before the whole solidcoin saga. So we can say that at least some of them are (or better have been) rational and intelligent people, and we can guess that those are not (all) sock puppets of coinhunter. So what does make rational and intelligent people into some fundamentally extremist. Well, we have seen this behavior in religion and to some lesser extent in politics. It always needs some charismatic, or at least very weird, leader. Look at Scientology/Ron L. Hubbard or Nazism/Hitler or Davidians/Koresh as examples.

Now look at apparently intelligent people, like viperjbm, BitcoinPorn, FlipPro, to just name a few. They did become true followers of coinhunter and are now apparently completely submerged in coinhunters world. So it seems coinhunter can cast a spell over people. And as we all know he doesn't do this with his work. I can only conclude that apparently he has some talent to be a leader - he is a natural born leader.

To cut a long story short, I think he wastes his talent by pretending to be a developer. I mean, he delivered only junk and despite this still got all those people as his followers. So I think he should drop his staged development, and concentrate on his role as a leader. If he really wants he could be the next Jobs/Hitler/Lenin/Hubbard/whatever-he-likes.

376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Concerns about the fluctuation, even dramatic, of the price of Bitcoin... on: September 06, 2011, 10:06:23 PM
There is no mess going on with Bitcoin right now. Is someone still thinking about Bruce Wagner or the hacks? Who cares? The security in sites such as Mt. Gox has been improved very significantly, Tradehill has been secure from the start and is building the Bitcoin.com site which will include a site similar to Mybitcoin in functionality.

Nothing is wrong. Everything is great. We are all very happy here.

Reality check: It's only been 90 days since the Mt. Gox break in and crash.  Tradehill has only been operating for about 90 days.  In the last 90 days we've had the MyBitcoin collapse, the Global Standard Bank scam, the Dwolla reversals, the Bruce Wagner expose, and a steady decline of about 20% per month in the price of Bitcoins. There's still no outside audit to provide assurance that Mt. Gox has all the funds deposited with them.

Get real.

And what's the point with all that incidents ?
Bitcoin is still working flawlessly.

Lets face the truth. A lot of people out there think that the google search bar is the actual internet. Similar to this, there are people like Nagle out there that think that Bitcoin is Bruce Wagner and mybitcoin. Don't blame him for being simple minded.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] New Solidcoin Client Fully Open-Source! on: September 06, 2011, 03:38:08 PM
And before I am accused of vehemently supporting SLC because of loosing money, jokes on you because I have not spent a dime of my money on either coin system, I just want to promote the technology.  And since both coin systems are loosing money hand over foot now it doesn't matter much which you are in.
So basically you say, you are just one of coinhunters disciples?
378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to teach you how to make money. [Sticky Please] on: September 06, 2011, 02:00:55 PM
Does posting some bold claims on bitcointalk have anything to do with it?

379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Concerns about the fluctuation, even dramatic, of the price of Bitcoin... on: September 06, 2011, 01:29:42 PM
So in essence there is no prove that you even have an idea, let alone some project on hold Sad

I don't think I have to  prove anything to you.

Also - this kind of attitude is exactly why I don't talk about anything that is not finished.
It seems you don't understand. There are tons of developers here. If your idea would be as good as you say, some could join you.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get paid to discredit bitcoin on: September 06, 2011, 01:22:53 PM
I think we all with Twitter accounts should jump on this.  We all know it's bs.  The only possible outcome is it would drop the price (though I doubt in a million years random Tweets regarding malware in Bitcoin is going to screw the price up).  If price drops, great for everyone, buy up.  If it doesn't drop, no harm, no foul, we all know the tech is good, I don't worry about Tweeting their bs to invest back in Bitcoin.

Sponsoredtweets is a reliable site, so I expect payment to be good.  Who is down?   I think this should be doen en mass, people on the forums here should start Twitter accounts just to have fun with this campaign.   Too many Bitcoiners have sticks up their asses, this should be a good time for all Smiley

Seeing BitcoinPorn leading this, I am pretty sure coinhunter would like to be a co-sponsor - unfortunately he pays with shitcoins  Wink
