361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: JAXX WALLET on: March 30, 2017, 11:46:30 AM
There is a problem with receiving dash using their wallet service.
I was notified when I opened it this morning being March 29th.
So it must of just been realized of this issue by their support system.
It shouldn't affect any further incoming transactions I would stress to guess. Undecided

I hope the support can fix it right away,I'm thinking of using jaxx wallet as my main desktop wallet because of it's being a very convenient wallet, and hopefully they can add more other coins like doge, just like electrum they are very convenient and secured wallet
They are definitely having issues with their wallet.
I received another notification similar to the one about dash a few days ago but this one was concerning the problem they are having with Ethereum classic and users of the client not being able to receive ETC to it currently until further notice.

363  Other / Politics & Society / Re: EU summons Filipino envoy to explain Duterte tirade on: March 29, 2017, 03:26:54 PM
MANILA, Philippines — The European Union on Monday summoned a Philippine envoy to explain an expletive-laden tirade by President Rodrigo Duterte, who threatened to hang EU officials for opposing his efforts to re-impose the death penalty.

The EU's external action service, the equivalent of a foreign office, said it hauled Charge d'Affaires Alan Deniega in to its Brussels headquarters to provide "an explanation for the recent, unacceptable comments of President Duterte."

The move highlights growing European exasperation with the president. Earlier, the EU denied his allegations that it proposed solving the Philippines' drug problem by creating treatment clinics where illegal drugs such as methamphetamine or cocaine would be dispensed.

The EU Delegation to the Philippines issued a statement saying it has not "suggested, discussed, proposed or considered the use of any substitution drugs when treating addiction to methamphetamine ... or any other drug addiction in the Philippines." It did not mention Duterte by name.

Duterte, who has lashed out at the EU repeatedly for raising human rights concerns over his deadly crackdown on illegal drugs, said in a speech Friday the EU had proposed a "health-based solution" to the drug problem that involved dispensing methampetamine, locally known as shabu, cocaine or heroin.

He branded the supposed EU proposal a "government-sponsored idiotic exercise."

This guy was the original Trump, I just didn't see it because I was looking at the actual Trump. Instead of tweeting, Duerte actually says the crazy shit out loud, at the podium, in front of everyone.

But seriously, he is walking a very fine line. His actions are clearly illegal, but his statements are going to be his downfall. He's too boastful about the killings, too callous in the application. He knows regular folks are getting caught up in this. He's not really solving the problem, just treating the symptoms.

But I see sentiment is shifting enough (he seemed to have a following similar to Trump, devoted fans that can perceive no wrong). Parliament is making moves seemingly to hold him accountable. But, it seems pretty corrupt over there politically, it will be easy for him to hinder the effort in that political climate.
Maybe you or somebody you know can make a video compilation of these said Trump-like incidents and translate it with voice overs(THE BEST!) or subtitles(AT THE VERY LEAST!) with accuracy in what he is saying and post it on youtube.
I am sure you will get a million hits because what is he is doing there with those murders and justifying it as a war on drugs are against humanitarian rights of the free world.

If you want desktop wallet >> electrum is fine. At least it's fine as long as your computer is fine... If you want absolute safety, skip this one.

If you want absolute safety >> https://github.com/MichaelMure/WalletGenerator.net Download this in a linux system. Turn of your wifi. (better yet, turn off your modem) Get your private key. Hide it away or memorize it if you can.

Walletgenerator is just for linux?
i want use it but my OS windows  Huh
Just use this: https://www.bitaddress.org/
They even have a brainwallet available from there for you to create your own passphrase to recover you wallet later on and doing so your coins you have store there for later use.

I don't recommend using a brainwallet password for storing your bitcoins. Bots tend to search for common passwords on these in order to steal coins and its not a very safe method of storing coins. Much better to just store a seed for a wallet such as Electrum (running on an offline PC if you are concerned about security).
Just giving him available options that are available for him to use.
It is up to the user after all to make their wallets and themselves safe and devise a way to do so.
Use 100 words as a passphrase to make it more secure.
That is totally up to you to make it secure.

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7gpu Mining Motherboard on: March 29, 2017, 01:08:48 PM
I would think if you try and max out the motherboard with 7 gpu's it will not run stable cause you have to have it going for 24/7 anyways to make anything from mining successfully anyways.
I have heard others using 6 gpus with older boards have atleast one card fail being recognized due to trying to max the number of gpus the mbd are able to handle in the first place.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Laptop mining question on: March 29, 2017, 11:11:39 AM
Yeah itd be out in the open, also I wouldn't trust leaving it out of sight with my coworkers.  Its becoming a tricky thing given the circumstances lol
﴾͡๏̯͡๏﴿
id say just screen lock and enable a loud tone to emit on first failed login, then again, this could also work the other way and get you fired if you work with trolls?
But you don't think they will notice a heavy load on their network coming from you mining?
They will track it down to your laptop and then you will get fired.
Haven't you heard of that FBI agent who got caught using the federal bureau of investigation's network and servers for mining a little while ago? He was doing it for years but now they know what bitcoin is all about and everyone and anyone are enough to go to great lengths they are willing to sacrifice their own careers over.
The ones who monitor your network will know what it is now, not like in 2013 when it was just seen as regular "network traffic" and just swiped it off as Nancy just online shopping on multiple sites again. Kiss
You will get caught. There is no doubt about it.
That is unless you work in the I.T department and are the sole one to watch the network traffic and looking for high levels. Cause your co workers will report you to get your position that is if you higher then he is or a friend of theirs on the I.T crew just for your troubles. Wink
Unless you can give them all a cut of that mined coin. Such as hush money for you to keep your job and not reporting your actions to the networking department's director. Cause then it will be his head on the chopping block.
368  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: March 28, 2017, 03:04:39 PM

There's even the case to drop Doge since the altcoin market trends has changed, and then accept Dash, XMR or maybe ETC?  Looking at CMC, those altcoins would be good at first impression.  What do you think?

DASH and ETC would be way easier to implement since are BTC and ETH clones. XMR is a harder case, but not many gambling sites use XMR because of this reason so there are positive and negative aspects of it.
I don't think there are any other dice sites who are using alt coins at the moment.
Well as far as I know.
I would certainly prefer to use another coin other than bitcoin to gamble with and would like to see etc put in the fold rather than eth cause it costs less and would be easier to let go a huge amount of that then it would be for a huge amount of dash or it's pre-fork twin big brother. Smiley
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum pump and advertising campaign on: March 28, 2017, 09:36:01 AM
But I do find it funny how Ethereum price goes down when the BTC prices rise. Embarrassed
Noting yesterday Eth per coin was $55 when btc per coin was $995 and now it is $48 while the price of btc is $1027.
If it was a true alt of BTC it would follow litecoin and rise when bitcoin's price rises.
Wouldn't anyone here agree with this opinion of mine?

actually i am waiting for next ethereum price going up again like before but i need to wait first before i see there a fast movement from the market. for litecoin, this coins is waiting for next up like other altcoin because litecoin is still in the bottom and i am sure that litecoin will be up too like the other.
It is just following the trend I mentioned and observed it was doing before.
The price has fallen over $9 in the last 24 hours and the price of bitcoin has risen since it slump from $1028 to $1049 in just a 24 hour period.
370  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Desktop Wallet Safe Keeping on: March 27, 2017, 04:55:06 PM
but how make an offline wallet?

all the ones I know are downloaded from the internet and require internet connection to work
Get an old computer like a pentium for cheap Wink
Download the entire blockchain to it.
Only use it for this sole purpose as a wallet. Do not use it to surf on or put bloatware and get a virus on it doing dumb things like that. Roll Eyes
Then unplug it from the wall.
There you have an offline wallet.
Only plug it in when you have a reason to send anything out from it to an outside receipiant.
Truly COLD storage!  Grin

How is that helping the crypto community again?  Undecided
373  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Automatic Raiblocks claims - Bot for sale on: March 27, 2017, 02:02:38 PM
Regarding this bot, it works well, you need to have some form of tech-saviness in you a few accounts here and there and some patience,
but it'll pretty much work out for you! However, theoretically this will actually ruin the economy, so get it early before a lot of people bloat it up
What kind of knowledge would one need in order to get this to work for them?
Tech-saviness in what way? To put a plug-in on your browser when using the sites where to solve the capatcha are located or you talking about programming? Cause that is beyond what most of the target audience are able to do if they are just clickers looking to earn 1sat per click. If they did have the programming knowledge they would be using their time more wisely then just click capatcha. Roll Eyes I can tell you that much.

Thanks for your vouch Sir.

I am glad that 1/3 vouchers had the decency to honor their word Smiley

Regards,
If there are 2/3 vouches still available then I will take one to see if it works for me.
As I do not have the technical know how to use code or have the time to do it actually. But if it is to put a plug into my browser then this I can do.

Edit: OP just pmd me and told me that he gave out all vouch copies already.
You should post the names of the other 2 people you gave this method out to and since they didn't post a review to you then you should ask them for payment of giving it to them. Because trust here is worth more then payment for a system. So they just got it for free basically is what your telling me.
Post those members here to show who are vouch stealers will you?
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Laptop mining question on: March 27, 2017, 03:54:24 AM
all it makes no difference but laptop or PC Faster 100 times slower than the average modern and more efficient ASIC 50 times.

I don't he gets how mining works.
A laptop architecture is bottlenecked to what a mining rig with 5x more gpu power can do and an asic with 50x more processing power that ANY LAPTOP on the market or ever created will be able to do.
You will be mining in 1 day what something else can do in 5 minutes.
So you will be 35 by the time you you even get 1 btc mining with a laptop no matter how powerful, new or expensive it is.
So tell us, is that worth an explanation to you yet?
If not then think of it this way.
Workstation for 3d animation compared to Apple II doing Draw. There is no comparison there man!
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Laptop mining question on: March 27, 2017, 02:41:44 AM
You cannot meaningfully mine bitcoin with a PC by itself. The fastest PCs are 1000 times slower than the average modern ASIC and 500 times less efficient. So laptop or PC makes no difference, you cannot meaningfully mine bitcoin.

If you're talking about altcoin mining though, that's a different story.

I did say I mine cryptonote stuff :l
But you know that laptops head up very fast and having a fast gpu even heats up the entire laptop even faster.
So running it 24/7 which mining rigs are running to be able to do anything in their pool would potentially damage a laptop and lower it's life expentency.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs BTU will lead to Ethereum dominance. on: March 26, 2017, 11:51:57 PM
Re: BTC vs BTU will lead to Ethereum dominance.

My analysis of your assertion.

Agree 100%, and put much better than I did.

Bitcoin is, at best, standing still...
DASH is just a Super-Bubble with low tx and few Devs...
Monero is an exotic one-tricky pony that will hit a wall when Ethereum integrates native zero knowledge anon.

That leaves ETH now sitting at 30% of BTC cap, just a stone's throw in CryptoLand...
With a sprawling ecosystem and Devs, Devs, Devs... one year from now ETH will be #1.
I certainly hope your right about this assumption of how the ethereum market will shape up in the next year with all the smart contracts being built up and the big banks looking towards it as a means to develop their own crypto ecosystem.
It looks to bee a burgeoning time for the alternative coins to bitcoin to come up with a way to become better to the end consumer with lower transaction fees and with the speed of those transactions being in the forefront of which one comes out on top and the other just fades away into the stratosphere as a distant memory of what could of been if only it was managed better than it's successor.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is just sad on: March 26, 2017, 04:31:16 AM
I wonder where the altcoin market increase went.

Doesn't look like dash, ethereum nor any alt coin prices shifted.

Is it sustaining a massive sell off of alt coins?

Not for all the scammers sitting on / selling their pre minted crap.

Exacta.

Could be a good time to short dash, eth, whatever alts are selling at high volume.
What do you think everybodys been doing all this time when the signal of eth showing to push sudden past 35% in a day.
Those kind of days what else is one to do while watching all these #2 and #3 right behind the top dog are increasing their pace like a dog chasing a car's bumper?
They don't know they'll never catch up to that car and get to chew that bumper unless it gets a flat. Cheesy

Someone on an exchange chatbox (trolling Roll Eyes ) talking about locking their wallet before all the pools decide to do the hard fork.
It sounds as if there is some co ordination going on with this and people will know before it happens so to capitalize on it for their own greedy gains.  Undecided

I've said this before, but there is really nothing we can do about it, other than bitch scream and kick and voice our opinions, unless you have a very large mining farm Shocked

Main thing for me is, in the end I want only one coin. This talk of 2 chains is ridiculous.
So the rapper was right....
Two Chainz! Grin

Somebodys got to make a meme of that when it does split into two different opposite directions.
