361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 31, 2024, 11:15:49 PM
Same here, I think one of the things about being a big team is the ability to keep winning trophies every season and keep dominating in the league without that, the coach of the team will be regarded as incapable of coaching the team. For the Brace team, I think Xabi tried his best by winning the La liga trophy last season but I think that isn't enough as he needs to keep winning trophies every season to keep the Barcelona team as one of the best club.

Barcelona is a team that used to win trophies so it is normal for them to ask every coach to keep the same level even if they cut the budget dedicated to improve the team and regardless of the help provided to him by Barcelona stuff. That's the price that should be paid by him and Xavi know the rules before he starts with Barcelona. Saving the team last season wouldn't guarantee a green card for the next season.
At the opposite when you train a team like Atletico Madrid and make it in the top 4, they will keep you forever as a coach Wink

Luton Town 2 - 0 Brighton.
Less than 4 minutes from the start of the match and Brighton were down by two goals. The first one was scored in like 20 seconds from the whistle Roll Eyes
Luton Town took Brighton by surprise and made the game more difficult for them. I am not sure if Brighton could return in the game after this shocking start!

Ironically Sheffield United scored also a goal in the first minute of the game, what's going on in English Premier League Cheesy
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 30, 2024, 08:00:10 PM
However, it also proves the fact that you need to be near perfect levels to win this league, otherwise Bayern will end up winning it.

It is clear that the race for the Bundesliga title will be limited between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich when you see at least 10 points difference between these two and the rest of the teams.
The two points difference between Bayern Munich and Leverkusen is nothing and could be nullified or even reverted at any round. Bayer Leverkusen didn't lose any game and they continue to perform well. Bayern Munich lost twice and they aren't in their best shape as they used to be in the previous seasons.
There is a lot of pressure on Xabi Alonso and his team to continue winning since any draw or defeat will make Bayern Munich claim the first place..
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 30, 2024, 04:12:25 PM
This have taught me that even the best team at some point can still not win the trophy in a tournament so looking down on any team may just be a mistake as you may be very wrong by judging them by their previous performance, they may have improved and gotten even better and beat a "big team".

Senegal defeat was unfortunate against Ivory Coast but it is penalties after all, hazardous.. Egypt also lost their match after being unlucky in penalties.
These teams although being better theoretically, couldn't win their games because they weren't able to score more than 1 goal in 90 minutes..
Until now I see only Nigeria as the best and classical team going to Quarter-final. Guinea and Ivory Coast aren't that bad too and might be annoying for the super eagles
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 29, 2024, 11:01:52 PM
Of course, most people would not have expected that Brest would play that well, and most people simply thought that PSG would really dominate because they were playing in front of their own supporters.

PSG has also their bad moments regardless of how good Brest they are. Besides, Brest are interestingly holding the third place in the ranking before all of Monaco, Lille, Lens and Marseille. That reminds me of Girona in La Liga.
With that draw, PSG remained first but the points difference between them and Nice decreased to 6 points which is still reassuring for them.
By the way, 6 matches out of 9 ended up with a draw in this round, including mainly the top 7 teams apart from Nice.

What a bad end for a mighty player of BArcelona like Xavi, but well this is football and not only football the most high level football, so its not easy to become a great player and a great coach, Barcelona seems to be in the same pace as Manchester United, huge teams who lose the path and cant come back to the good one, no matter what they do.
Leaving Barcelona doesn't mean he's ending his managerial career? He will look forward to secure more promising positions in the future, perhaps he's very skillful and tactical when it comes to managing to clubs. Xavi Hernandez is consider a crucial player and a legend for Barcelona, his pattern of game was extraordinary compared to his teammates, he knows what he wants and make way to achieve this crucial target every season he play for his dream club, Barcelona. Since taking the position of becoming a manager, he has come in contact with brilliant

Xavi has his best moments with Barcelona in the past and during this season the results aren't that satisfying for him nor for the club and the fans. It was supposed for him to leave after the defeat against Real Madrid but he delayed it until the heavy defeat against Villarreal by 5 goals. Obviously, we cannot blame this defeat on him only but also players like Lewandowski whose performance dropped considerably, but also the fight with the stuff, including Deco, who refuse to bring good players due to their financial problems..
Xavi will find another good club by the end in Europe or even in Saudi Pro League if he wants, otherwise there is many names that are planned to replace him, namely Hansi Flick, Jürgen Klopp but he is still with Liverpool until the end of the season, De Zerbi or even Thomas Tuchel and we can imagine the rage of Bayern Munich if this rumour gets confirmed Roll Eyes

edit: Qatar 1 - 1 Palestine (45+6)

Now it is Qatar 2-1 Palestine. Qatar scored their second goal on a penalty kick. Even if this goal is a penalty, but the extra pressure on Qatar will be lifted. Because Palestine team is much weaker than Qatar team, Qatar team is ranked 58th and on the other hand, Palestine team is ranked 99th. If Qatar lost today, it would be a shame for Qatar.
However, the Qatari team came back in a very short period of time. (45'+6') Akram Afif assisted Hassan Al-Haydos first goal and 49 minutes Akram Afif's penalty shoot out the second goal. Anyway I think Palestine team will lose this match as they have not won even one of the last five matches against Qatar team. Moreover, Qatar team is the topper of the group.

Honestly, Palestine played way better than Qatar in the first half but unfortunately they managed to score only one goal. If they were able to score more goals they wouldn't lose. The Qatari team and especially the defence line committed a lot of mistakes and I wonder if they could advance further unless the coach fix these big errors.

In the other two matches, Tajikistan made a shocking victory after eliminating Emirates by penalties and Jordan made a good victory too against Iraq!

I've noticed you're asking for many personal informations, do you think this is really necessary??

To be able to analyse data, they need such informations. To compare money spent on gambling and the revenue for example or if male spend more than females... It is normal to ask.

I saw Indonesia playing and when we compare them to Australia then I find Australia better and I am almost sure they will pass to the Quarter-final.
I will go with Indonesia +2 Grin I think nothing can be underestimated while in round 16.
However, as an Indonesian citizen, I also still hope that there will be a miracle for Indonesia, because I believe that in football nothing is impossible. Especially for Indonesia, this match is not a burden for them because now their target of entering the last 16 has been achieved, and they have made new history by being able to qualify for the last 16 for the first time. In this way, their enthusiasm and mentality will continue to burn, so I also want to bet and choose Indonesia with a +2 Handicap because the atmosphere in the round of 16 matches will definitely be different.

As I said to you pals, Australia is better than Indonesia from what I saw in the group stage without counting the general performance and results before this competition.
I didn't want to predict the number of goals because I was expecting some resistance from Indonesia but that resistance didn't last for more than 12 minutes before the first goal scored and right now Australia is leading with 4 goals to 0.
I did want to see your country advancing for real but Indonesia national team lack experience. I hope they get better in the future and improve their rank in the World Cup Qualifiers group stage since they are the last one.

I think Benzema is doing the right thing by thinking of leaving Saudi Arabia at the earliest opportunity. The criticism towards his performance there must have crossed the line that it led him to delete his Instagram account.  Sad

Benzema is one of the great centre-forwards I have ever seen and it would be lovely to watch him in Europe again if possible. But a return to Real Madrid doesn't look possible. If we watch him playing for a powerful European team again then I think he will start showing a much better performance than now. He is 36 years old but I would like to remind that it was only two years ago when he won a Ballon d'Or.  Smiley

The Saudi Arabia journey did not go as planned, and Benz is not the only one on his way out; Herderson left for Ajax barely six months after signing with the Saudi club. Some players are already considering to return to European football due to the level of competition and, I believe, the awful weather. Those who actually care about the game are returning to Europe.

Real Madrid has never taken back any of its legends before. Ancelloti stated that it is up to the club to decide, but he does not see the possibility of Benz returning to Real Madrid, as he is already off the hook. A loan to one of the English clubs seems to the only way out for him unless he cut down his wages.

First there was a rumour about Ancelotti wanting Benzema back as a loan if buying him wouldn't be an option. Then this rumour was denied but I still see talks about Ancelotti leaving this decision to Real Madrid staff. I am aware that Perez isn't the one who cares a lot about his legends when they get older and especially when they leave the club. If Ancelotti won't insist on taking Benzema back then definitely he will have no chance to join them back.

By the way I wonder know where Klopp will go after his decision to not renew his contract and leave Liverpool by the end of the season. He announced next season to stay free for any contract for a year then it is not yet clear.
371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the only currency that has grown the most!! on: January 27, 2024, 07:10:15 AM
bitcoin has already proven a lot in this market, remaining the top position in more than a decade in this market. so yeah, we don't need to think about its potential but to what price level it can reach. so long there are crypto users who are continuously supporting this market, then, it will continue to survive. worry if there are no more people talking about this market specifically this top currency.

Bitcoin are dominating the crypto market with 50% dominance on average and will continue to do that or more in the future. This is normal since it is the first and oldest cryptocurrency to be created and has the most adoption rate. It is also quite solid although it fluctuates a lot from time to time.
Ethereum comes second in the market but I find Dogecoin as the coin that has the most potential to increase since its price is underestimated even though its community is special and protective.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 27, 2024, 07:02:29 AM
I have read many stories about why people sold too early or did not hold on to their Bitcoin for longer. We all made the same mistake for different reasons. I am one of the group that sold early too but there is no reason to keep kicking oneself over it.

Looking back, I remember when Bitcoin reached $1000, I never thought I would see it reach $10,000 (that seemed far away) but it happened and now I am thinking I'll probably see it reach $100,000 one day therefore there is still time to reap benefits if I invest wisely Grin

The lowest level of Bitcoin price I witnessed is something around $120, you can imagine selling BTC0,1 BTC at that time was just $12 and when you look today it is $4112 approximately. For sure I am disappointed and regretting selling with $4000 loss but when I do a transaction that's mean I need it at that time and life is opportunities to take or let go, just pass and don't look back.
I assume everyone who joined early are regretting selling his coins at a cheap price but it is life after all and we need to do that.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 26, 2024, 11:39:17 PM
I never expected Chelsea's match to ended with goalless draw. I was seriously expecting atlest 2 goals from that match. Just so funny, all game played today in FA Cup just ended in under2.5.

Actually only 3 goals were scored in 4 games yesterday! in contrast to 5 goals scored in the day before by Bournemouth in Swansea goalie.
Manchester City scored only one goal at the end of the game so they eliminated Spurs. The other two goals were scored in a match that doesn't contain English Premier League teams. Chelsea didn't win because simply Aston Villa is a good team this season.

In the upcoming games there is Fulham - Newcastle United that will be challenging. Newcastle used to win against Fulham generally. For Manchester United, they should have an ordinary game but it will be interesting the next movement of the team in case of a random defeat..

<snip>

18 matches have been played, but Lyon can only collect 16 points, what a disaster. Ligue 1 has 18 more matches left, if it doesn't improve immediately then Lyon will almost certainly be dropped from the Ligue 1.
Now in match 19 against Rennes, Lyon is in a losing position with a score of 0-3.
At least I hope Lyon can stay in Ligue 1 this season. In the remaining matches this season, Lyon must be able to get a minimum of 25 points to be positioned outside the relegation zone.
I am not a Lyon fan, but it is very unfortunate if a team as big as Lyon, which has a long history, has to play at a lower level.
Pierre Sage must be able to encourage Lyon players to perform at their best.

Lyon is unrecognisable by their fans and rivals. They have a very bad record and they continue to play poorly. Taking 3 goals in the first half of the game against Rennes is beyond expectations.. Rennes aren't playing as good as they used to do in the previous seasons, yet they already scored three goals. They will be lucky if they avoid relegation this season.

Tomorrow, Nice should win against Metz but the most interesting match will be between Monaco (away) and Marseille (home). Odds are close with little advantage for the home team, yet I find Monaco better personally.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: January 26, 2024, 09:09:51 PM

I think Iraq will go to the semifinals along with the winner between Saudi Arabia and South Korea or Australia, not sure about that alternative.
In the other side, Qatar is favourite to go to the semifinals with Iran? Not sure also because they will challenge the winner between Japan and Bahrain.

I did not expect that Thailand and Indonesia qualified for the next round this is a good achievement from the two teams from the ASEAN region, but Indonesia's position is increasingly difficult because the 3 strongest countries are waiting for them Australia will be the first challenge for Indonesia then between Saudi Arabia and South Korea, on the other hand Thailand is in an easier position because in my opinion it is still at the same level. What do you think about the opportunities of Indonesia and Thailand in the next round?

I saw Indonesia playing and when we compare them to Australia then I find Australia better and I am almost sure they will pass to the Quarter-final.
For Thailand, they qualified because their group is average, to not say bad. Their game in the Round of 16 will be against Uzbekistan so I suppose they might get a chance even though their record isn't that good face to face. Anyway facing Qatar will be the end of their journey whether it is Uzbekistan or Thailand playing against them.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 26, 2024, 07:54:18 AM
Am shocked to see that Barca wasn't even speculated as one of the favorites for the UCL final this season.
You are shocked?

Haven't you seen their performance in other competitions this season. Let's be honest, they have not be satisfactory at all, and they have just been eliminated from Copa del Rey. I don't think they will go very far in the competition
Barcelona can never be the favorite for the Champions League with the current situation they have in this team. Barcelona lost many points in La Liga and they lost the games they could easily win, on the other hand there many injured players in this team and that's why Barcelona is not in good form.
Even their coach, Xavi is about to get fired from the team if they continue their bad performance.

Can you imagine a team losing two simple competition in the same month to grab Champions League title from teams like Manchester City or the others!
Barcelona lost Supercopa de Espana earlier this month against Real Madrid by three goals difference then lost against Athletic Bilbao by two goals difference in Copa del Rey. They are way away from their normal performance and barely keeping up good results in La Liga. They are lucky to face a fluctuating team like Napoli in the next round, otherwise you can imagine them being kicked along with Xavi, but it would be really sad if Napoli is the one kicking them from UEFA Champions League!

Anyway, I didnt pay any attention before and its surprising that Australia in on Asia Cup despite that they are not really on Asia continent.

Well they are not on europe or any other continent as well but still its weird

Australia dominated Oceania, that's why they made it join AFC to let the other poor nation win something but also to make the Australian team more competitive.

If Benzema is brought to PSG, I don't think he will get any new experience

New signings and putting the team in a dilemma of evicting and retaining one out of two options. When the situation happened with Ronaldo, it was said that it's cos of his influence, money and capacity. Now it's Benzema's turn, what will be said. For me I'd blame Saudi league because the teams are trying all their possible best to be recognized. Al-Nassr before Ronaldo joined weren't heard about...

The presence of players coming from European leagues helped Saudi teams a lot and made the league very attractive. In the Al-Ittihad case, the situation went the opposite since their rivals grow at the time they didn't improve and with the coach being sacked and tensions getting worse between the club and Benzema, it seems that they will get separate ways by the end of this winter transfer window. The only problem is which team could afford to take Benzema! I heard Manchester United refused to count on him since they couldn't afford him. I didn't see anything new about him and PSG or even Ligue 1 in general. There is talks about Carlo Ancelotti asking Real Madrid to take him back as a loan until the end of the season. There is Arsenal and Chelsea that might be interesting in adding him to their squad but as usual it remains just rumours that needs to be confirmed.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 25, 2024, 04:27:37 PM
Lately Bayern Munich has shown some un seriousness on there past match especially on there match against Werder Bremen because nobody would have believed that as good as Bayern Munich they would stooped so low that a little Werder Bremen will win Bayern Munich on there home.
Considering the performance of Bayern Munich I will not agree with you on the point that they are showing less seriousness because their performance in that game was fair enough to get them to win, even up to the 70rh minutes I still believe Bayern Munich was going to win because they weren't performing poorly

Well Bayern Munich performance is way under expectations. When you see yesterday's game, you wonder why a team playing alone in their home couldn't score more than a single goal?
Union Berlin played almost nothing in that game, barely shooting a kick in the goalie. I don't know if Bayern Munich played against another team how that match will end.. They have to return to their initial form otherwise they will risk the Bundesliga title for sure for Bayer Leverkusen.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 25, 2024, 12:24:52 AM

The game between Mallorca and Girona ended in a surprising outcome because there's no way anyone expected Mallorca to win Girona after they have been doing so well in the La Liga and winning all their matches but I guess you are right they didn't take the match seriously maybe because they want to focus more on the La Liga where they are currently topping the league instead of losing concentration playing the copa de rey which can actually affect their performance.

Yeah there are several reasons for Girona's defeat but whatever the reason I still can't believe Girona missed this game even though they are only a few steps away from reaching the final, maybe Mallorca's 3 goals in the first half surprised the Girona players so it has an impact on the player's mentality this kind of thing often happens in several leagues. Luckily I didn't watch this match, because if I had watched this match I probably would have bet on Girona.

Girona missed an opportunity to lift a trophy this season after their direct rival, Real Madrid, left the race early in round of 16 in Copa del Rey and after also Barcelona defeat by two goals to four against Athletic Bilbao. The first half was heavy on Girona and although scoring two goals in the second half and facing only ten players, Girona couldn't get the draw.

I think Bilbao will have a good chance in this trophy unless Atletico Madrid overtake them. I doubt Real Sociedad could maintain a good performance until the last game if ever they reached the final match. I don't think also that Mallorca could make another team leave this competition.
