361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: May 26, 2019, 02:59:12 AM
Had a gut feeling;   sold off all my XMR today.

Still gonna mine it;  but i'm not holding it for a while....

I think mainly to get it done while I can still liquidate; since most exchanges are starting to get iffy on if they will be keeping anonymous coins.....

IDC if the price goes up now either;  I really see it can hit 120-150, but, I think ill trust my gut on this one;  ive already made plenty off it since it has pretty much doubled in value for me.
362  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 25, 2019, 09:25:43 PM
ok then do capitalism, but dont create a currency realm, and enforce it upon others, and block others from spending a different currency there.

liberty and capitalism are also going to split as will be democracy and capitalism.

I 100% agree.

One of the major issues I have is the fact we are not on any sort of "standard" when it comes to the value of "money".   You are literally cherishing "money" thinking that it is not worthless; simply based on the fact that you are told it is not and believe it.   This thinking is perpetuated through society; making it harder and harder to correct as time goes on.

Lack of a "gold standard" or something of the like;  is the single biggest problem with the capitalist system of today that I can think of... aside from the fractional reserve system....

thats not true, societies can have successful economies, because they dont have a gold standard, like for example germany, it is a ressource poor country and would have the strongest currency in europe and ressource rich countries cant have strong currencies.

There's obvious historical reasons why germany is not on the gold standard.......  and in the ~50+ years of their currency before adopting the euro; its value diminished by over 70%.
Stable;  yea;  but stably on a downward trend... I don't consider that strong.  More of predictable and reliable.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone else having good luck with 90%/950% dice bots? on: May 25, 2019, 08:23:22 PM
tried one more decimal up and nearly wiped out the account.... something i had done in the past before I had thought deeper about how much of a losing streak is in the 95 percentile of chances.

Anyone have any strategies they care to discuss or share?
It doesn't matte yet losing streaks would vary or wont be similar even on having that 95% of chances. This is quite odd

for a Legendary member which isn't really aware on how these dicing chances and strategy do works. No matter how you do
arrange a setting it would still having that the same outcome.

Oah I have followed dice since the first days of them on the BTC blockchain filling up the TX queue.   They have intrigued me on how they work, and I even back then went through waiting the 24 hour period for when the hash changes and you can calculate your results after the fact and verify your plays.

It's all about playing the odds;  just like mining a block;  what are the odds you hit that 7th or 10th zero in a row?    All you have to do is work out your math to decrease that chance to a minimal, and let luck be the decider.

I mean;   Im not advocating anybody spend any real funds on doing this;  Im just curious at others' perspectives and happenings on the subject....   The only way i'd advocate you do it, is to set up a burner email/account on 999, and you can try it out for free is you are curious....   but that's "if".

As I said before;  in the past years ago, I had claimed several BTC payouts of .1 or more;   all by risking .001 or less.  Sometimes with bots, sometimes without.

I think I said goodbye when I got a 20 roll losing streak years back.... but again;  it was pennies risked back then;  I was sick at home and bored =)

i have never tried that bet sets but i will try it later and i never will try 999dice because it's a scam website
there are many threads about 999dice scam their user here and you can try to search it

years ago, i have won big there (all built up off of the free faucet) and done withdrawls;    but all of my early long term dice gambles like this on btc;  risking .01 when it was worth around $3 was not a big risk to me and all of them failed.
But;  I did end up withdrawing somewhere around the sum of .125 from them more than once.... but again;  2.5+ years ago or earlier this was done.

IDK how they are now;  but; surprisingly my balances are still there; and i wont be sending that site any of my coin ever....  Ill do some research.

set up a burn account on 999dice;  you can hit the faucet regularly until you hit their free limit....  doge is the only one that leaves enough decimal space to do a bot; the rest will have to be manual betting for it to be realistic.... but all free gambles nonetheless.... and not really a gamble because nothing was put on the line.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone else having good luck with 90%/950% dice bots? on: May 25, 2019, 06:21:43 PM
this is the beauty of 999dice;  zero deposits up front....   literally accululate .1 doge free; start the bot; and it does stand a good chance of doubling itself;  I have done it several times already in the past.

But yes;  the account has been wiped out several times over....

Changing the initial bet decimal a will generate 0.000000001 (they do tenths of the satoshi equivalent in their database); and havent seen any negatives aside from painfully slow accrual.

I have never seen a difference between playing dice with a million micro bets, or a single large bet; odds still equal out.

If a site that operates on a verifiable scheme (as they claim);  there should be no real way for them to legitimately limit/change the players outcome based on bet amounts or size...
367  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 25, 2019, 05:55:12 PM
I've repeatedly cited a published paper on a study that compared the two and found socialism produced better physical quality of life 93% of the time. You've done nothing but continue to regurgitate capitalist gospel.

Most people are born into their privilege in capitalism so there is no way it can be earned.  Things are bought in capitalism, not earned.  Things can only be earned when the fruit of labor goes to the laborer.  Capitalism is literally the opposite of that. I buy shares and get the fruits of other people's labor while I lay on the beach.

Socialism cannot be blamed for every bad thing that has ever happened in a country with socialist economic principles.

Yes, You cite a paper that knitpicks certain aspects forgoing the rest of the data and historical facts that show otherwise in many other respects beyond those few.  The aspects that arise from the systems of each are vast and complicated;  and you have to be ignorant to believe that all of them can be referenced and compared at once like that.

I have lived in, and had my life effected by both systems.

I chose capitalism because I have seen its effect in my life and others is greater and better than socialism.   Your bashing of me for retaining this principal based on my real life experiences,  changes nothing.

You say things are bought and not earned.

In Venezuela;  their food is bought just like ours.... except somehow our shelves are stocked.   Your short-sided analogies are extremely flawed.

I don't blame socialism alone for the downfall of socialist societies (as you imply);  I use it in evidence of commonalities across history to make my judgments;  on top of what I have been through first-hand.

People don't understand that while CAPITALISM does have its flaws, it is still the best system out of the ones that we've tried to this date. People who advocate for more socialism, typically live in countries where there is Capitalism and not Socialism -- you would know that if you were to live in a socialist country, you wouldn't want to be there.

That's the way it goes.

Those people in Capitalist countries don't know how well they have it.

It's kind of a double-edge sword of a analytical approach though....  because most people who truly believe in socialism to their core;  say one socialist society/scheme or the other does't "have it right" or  "isn't as it should be".....

IMHO;  no singular perspective  will ever have it "right";  there is no equality when individual opinions are vast and unique.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HOW CAN YOU MAKE MONEY IN MULTI-LEVEL-MARKETING (MLM) — WITH CRYPTOCURRENCY on: May 25, 2019, 04:36:15 AM
FYI MLM is a fancy name for a pyramid scheme.    They operate the same.  There are also pyramid scheme definitions that most MLM "plans" follow pretty damned closely.

I have only seen fools lose.  Very few success stories aside from the founders and first adopters...
369  Other / Meta / Re: Let's finally remove Locked and Self Mod topics from the Marketplace on: May 25, 2019, 03:01:17 AM

Maybe you think or see a ton of threads I miss where legit users are in need of this feature. Feel free to point them out. The point of this topic was not to dismiss the idea, but bring the discussion centered around this point to one place for review and discussion. Who's to say getting whitelisted wouldn't be a painless process, is the unknown of how the system rolls out enough reason to discredit it before it's trialed?

I was a newbie when I tried to sell my gift cards and mostly all users who posted on the thread derailed my thread and asked me to sell my genuine gift cards at a huge discount as they were getting carded gift cards for that rate. To stop all these unnecessary demotivating comments, I made all my threads self-moderated ones. Example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=928753.5

Whitelisting is just giving privilege to one user and not to the other which is unfair. One forum had such feature for premium members and it was highly unfair to others who have not established themselves on a forum.

Quote
They do remove off-topic. Most are also smart enough to distinguish when someone is only attempting to appear on-topic.
None of the comments I reported in my thread were considered off-topic and hence not removed. They troll you to an extent that you feel like giving your product for free. The self-moderated feature is a blessing in disguise for me.

This is exactly my point.

You can end up with one or a hundred posts from someone who is mistaken, but intent on proving you are [insert slander or illogical nonsense here]; and when they are proved wrong;  silence from them and a huge tarnished poop stain left behind on the thread that didn't need to be there in the first place; and that kind of crap may drive people to click away without even seeing after all of those comments was information showing that poster was 100% unfounded/untrue.

A few times I have removed shitposts that seemed on topic;  but like a broken AI was trying to guess as to how to comment on the thread.......   I never regretted any of those deletions, and have never received a PM for it as well.
370  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 25, 2019, 02:49:38 AM
No one denies the fact that capitalism is better for the wealthy.  Its far better and thats not even debatable.  Advocates of socialism are simply considering the quality of life of the typical person as opposed to just those in situations of privilege.

Once you have the facts (and not just some parroted talking points), neither are debatable.  Perspective and morals are the only things that matter in determining preference.

If you want to compare socialism to capitalism;  show the whole picture... not the small details leaving out the rest of the story as you accuse;  and maybe I will consider walking down the road to discuss it with you....
In capitalist societies, privilege is earned.  Our rights aren't privilege....  Don't mistake that.

To say that socialism a better quality of life is quite subjective on the level of acceptance/quality of life I expect;  not to mention the great numbers of historical shortfalls socialism has shown us over the years.   It's amazing how people that aren't given [what I consider to be] inalienable basic human rights; are quick to cite privilege against capitalism when they are coming from a heavily biased socialist sentiment.  Socialist policies are 100% privilege to the people whom they apply to.... using a socialist type of irrational thought process.

All I can say, is I have experienced both systems in my life.   I have also seen the good and bad parts of both systems first hand around the world.     Medically, and systemically they have taught me some important things in life.

Historically, capitalist societies flourish better, and lead to more opportunity to pursue ones own happiness in life;  not someone else's.  Who are you to tell someone how to live their life?  How is your opinion any better or greater than anyone else's?

Trust me.  I have plenty of facts.

The main issue is people not being receptive to those facts on both sides, and accepting that both people are correct, and incorrect at the same time.

Learn to live with it; don't force yourself on others.  That's how socialism could actually work.... but then it wouldn't be socialism; not having a standardized tiered set of control and "parameters" for people to conform to as to complete [person/entity]'s objective.
371  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Socialism is so bad that it allows poor people to live. Horrible true story on: May 25, 2019, 01:55:43 AM
My only comment:

Socialism forces the individual to be a slave to someone else's desires and perspectives.  There are benefits, and drawbacks.

I appreciate my ability to work hard and be able to achieve great things equal to my effort.

Taking away the ability to do better/more than the person next to you;  eats away at the heart of invention and innovation.

Each system has its flaws.   I prefer the capitalist system; it mainly only falls apart if what backs the 'money' becomes insolvent/worthless.

imagine 10 people owned 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the earths wealth;  that's a fucked up but statistically possible scenario right?   The real question is;  would that wealth be worth the same in that distribution?

But i'm not here to debate;  just give a perspective and some hard real information and insight to the logic behind it.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone else having good luck with 90%/950% dice bots? on: May 24, 2019, 11:03:57 PM
I have never used a bot to bet for me. But I have used the auto betting feature a lot. But generally, for all casino games are that winning with 0.1 doge is easier than winning with 100 doge.

technically;  moving a decimal point on risk and bet evenly;  should maintain the same level of win percentage.... but weather or not the exchange/site is honest with regards to this;  is another matter that makes me want to tread lightly... thus the doge approach.

But the bot for sure allows me to make thousands and thousands of continuous bets until my goal is reached (if set)....    a lot nicer than clicking buttons....   (I was never much of a slot machine player;  I don't see the fun in it)

To me this dice gamble;  I trust more than the smallest gamble on the stock market.

Sounds like the twenty dollar TTBIT sticks I bought and just recently returned are not to good. I will maybe try the Newpac version. Thanks for your good advice. Wink

yeah, there's a reason why sidehack spent the amount of time developing them as he did....    Even if you just copy/paste them, there will still be differences that aren't taken into account when the copycat makes their copy....

Plus sidehack is definitely deserves every bit of support the forum can give him;  for all he has given us in the past;  let alone what he brings us next Wink
374  Other / Serious discussion / Re: New gambling website scam: coinescam.com on: May 24, 2019, 05:15:46 PM
Yes, this method of knocking money out of the clients of gaming clubs on the Internet has long been used by greedy liars. I already fell into this trap about two years ago, but it's good that I didn't pay anything. I left my virtual winnings and tried not to think about it anymore, although the desire to pay was very great!

It takes a very undeveloped brain for someone to reach the rationale of:

"I can receive 1 that I am owed, if I send .6 before being compensated what I am owed"

I have noticed the scammers aren't changing their posting format or anything;  most of the new threads that are copies of this same scam, are being locked/deleted quickly;  but i am sure to negative trust and report the users anyways just because.

Dear forumchanin !! I had one account !! I was banned for the first time !! I did not break the rules !! Why do you write that I was banned before? Are you bored? Read my topic carefully. If you do not know why write this? I am the owner of a banned account. I was banned for the first time !! Everything else I described above. Where can I go for clarification?
This account you are posting from is proof you care not about the rules and proper ways to handle this situation.

No other words from you will change that fact.

Again, reference my above reply:  check the email.  It has the appropriate method of contacting the admins.

Today I created this account to contact the topic META according to the rules of the forum !! What are you writing about?  What is mail? According to the rules of the forum, a banned user creates a new account for contacting in the Meta section. That's exactly what I did.

You had your account AUDI_A6 banned for whatever reason, legitimate or not.  Fact.

You then proceeded by creating a new account to avoid the ban and post on this forum.  Fact.

This activity shows you are not following the rules; even after a ban.  Fact.

If this is the case, why should we let someone who disregards the rules back?
Where in this forum does it instruct you to break the rules the way I described that you just did?  Nowhere that I can see.

You were told several times to reference the email.  Do it.  Stop crying the same song that does not help you at all;  take the appropriate action instead of continuing to break the rules.  THERE IS AN EMAIL YOU NEED TO SEND TO START THE PROCESS....

Thanks for your reply. This is really fun. I remember this guy from our student hostel. He told me about crypto. And when he was banned, he became disheartened and stopped doing it and gave me his promoted account on Twitter and on Facebook and in telegrams and. And also a special phone for this business. What's the problem? Twitter, telegram and facebook do you have anything to do with it? Isn't Bitcointalk here? I did not break the rules and most importantly I do not have plagiarism. This someone has done a serious research work. For what purpose? Is this an improvement forum? Or personal motives? Maybe it's just a fight against unwanted users in Russian locale? So there is already a little bit where this is being discussed. I supported some of those banned and the next day, "suddenly" it turned out that I, too, was "disagreeable." Why did they not tell me earlier that I do not have the right to own a telegram and twitter of previously banned users? I just recently took part in a subscription company and was immediately banned. Please consider my request for unlocking.
The thing is this account hasn't been ban but his one account mentioned above on my post is the one that is banned and if he knows the rule of the forum that once ban is lifted to an account you can make an appeal here on Meta with your alt and solely to Meta board only for posting and no other boards is allowed. Read the forum rule guidelines made by mprep.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
25. If you get banned (temporarily or permanently) and create a new account to continue posting / sending PMs, it's considered ban evasion. The only exception is creating a thread in Meta about your ban.

One more thing, if this account AUDI_A6 is just from your friend why do you use the same telegram account? I doubt it is just been given from your friend, reason is invalid. Yes you do break the rule and one more thing plagiarism is just one of the other forum rules that is prohibited if you break other rules that's a reason also for termination.
Unfortunately ((you didn’t understand anything. I think this is a translation difficulty. He’s not my friend. I took Telegram, Twitter and Facebook from him a long time ago. This is my account and I didn’t break the rules. Where else can I ask for my question?

I see this as assuming his position; and accepting what comes with it.

Accept the ban;  follow the proper rules and procedures, and things may change.

Your continual breaking of the rules (creating a new account to post because your active account was banned) is a 100% legitimate reason and proof you do not follow the rules and deserve to be banned..

Read the email.   Follow simple instructions.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Anyone else having good luck with 90%/950% dice bots? on: May 24, 2019, 01:45:18 PM
So;  after a little deliberation a while ago, I decided to try a little gamble.... again.

Risking .1 doge is a mere pence, so i made the choice to use it as my medium.  Been having some good results, so I thought I would share.

using 999dice:
90% chance of win  (>90 of 100)
+950% bet after loss
Initial bet of 0.000001
actual win percentage: 86.3%
reset to base bet after win

Steadily gaining about a mili-doge every hour or less.  The larger loss streaks give bigger bumps in profit.  Considering upping the % bet after loss;  but I think that would necessitate a x10 increase in bankroll.

If I can keep this bot for a few weeks solid, Ill probably attempt a very similar setting, but with 1000 doge as a bankroll...  incrementally step up and see how the site treats me.... who knows if their algo trims the win % based on bet size.... that's always a gamble... but if it fairs well, ill possibly give BTC a test...

I had started with a lower initial bet, but the gains were painfully slow after a full day.  Moved the decimal to the setting above, and it was good, tried one more decimal up and nearly wiped out the account.... something i had done in the past before I had thought deeper about how much of a losing streak is in the 95 percentile of chances.

Anyone have any strategies they care to discuss or share?
380  Other / Meta / Re: Let's finally remove Locked and Self Mod topics from the Marketplace on: May 24, 2019, 11:31:32 AM
I don’t like self moderated topics anywhere. They’re open to manipulation & dishonesty.

I know there are situations where it can be seen as a positive to have them but if it was up to me (which it clearly isn’t) I’d do away with them altogether.

Just a personal preference, don’t shoot the messenger Smiley

Self mod topics have been historically effective at curbing shitposts - at least on my threads. So I don't agree with your message messenger. If you were in Sparta, you'd be at the bottom of a well now  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Same;  You get one person with a wrong conception or stick up their butt and end up with 3 pages of useless posts that are far off topic.... usually if I delete posts on my few self-moderated threads, I will leave a quote reference chain where it ended and delete the rest.... see my xmr-stak thread for a prime example.

However;

I do agree that self moderated threads do not belong in the marketplace section.

Anyone complaining of "freedom of speech"  look into the TOS agreement you said yes to when you signed up.   Second;  this is a privately owned website;  not a public one..... don't act as if it is such.
