Edit: I guess we fell for the trap, the Celtics are missing too much that they might get their second home loss at this point.

Same here, my first choice was really the Clippers but then I realize that the line was too high and I felt like it was a trap so I switch to the Celtics. I don't think it's the trap man, I believe most of the public bets won today, like these following teams.

Knicks -5
Bucks -3.5.

On the Nuggets vs Sixers game, suddenly Embiid was announce out, so the line adjusted to -13. I think the Nuggets could easily cover that but it seems like they are line shading it, but that's just me, my speculation.  Grin
362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: January 27, 2024, 11:39:11 PM
While losses in trading becomes more possible when there is greed, but trading without learning and understanding the basics as well will also contribute to more possible losses and failures. So most likely, if you rush to trade because you believe that will be bigger profits if you keep on trading, well that's obviously a wrong mindset. You could have lose all your capital and see yourself homeless if you continue doing trading because of that mindset.

Know that there is always the right time to trade by not resorting into overtrading. Trade only when the market is viable to provide you profits, and avoid trading if you see the market is obviously not in a good position to trade.
363  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 27, 2024, 09:59:33 PM
Save whenever you can, regardless of how much you are able to save, the important thing is you started saving early. Because once you start to save early, then you can also invest early on the potential investments around, and might be in huge profits and become financially successful early as well.

I guess this is just a matter of mindset and goal setting. If you have better plans in your future, then you will work on it as early as you can so that if ever you experience failure, you will still have all the chances to get up again and continue working until you achieve your own success.
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 27, 2024, 12:37:42 PM
Inoue is still too far from Pacquiao's achievement. Though undeniably he's got skills, speed, and power, but he still needs to step outside his territory and beat future hall of famers, fight in catchweight since he has been dominating on his current division. Well, I guess the boxing association are protecting his value. It would be less interesting to watch an Inoue fight if he'd lose to a stronger fighter. Unless, he's got enough charisma like Pacquiao who could bounce back and fight like he didn't get knocked out cold by Marquez. That's the downside of being an undefeated fighter, one defeat might change everything and winning everything back might be another difficult path.
Definitely, though Inoue is an exceptional boxer but he is nowhere near to Pacman in terms of achievement in boxing. At his age, I think Pacman had already achieve lots of belts in different division, but Inoue stays in super bantamweight although he had unified all the belts already. Another thing that people does't admire on his is he keeps fighting in Japan, and even the "ban for life" sanction on Nery has suddenly been lifted just to give way to his fight with Inoue which is expected the champion will easily beat Nery.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 27, 2024, 11:13:06 AM
Is this the new meta currently in the NBA where players are trying to break their own records and having an all time high with their career performances?

Anyway, it's actually a good start when we've seen these career high records up to 70+ points. And we might see some breaking records where they could reach 80+ points and so on.

It's like always a show time when there's a player trying to go along with these records.

With the present NBA style where ball movement is more emphasize, we can only see few players getting 70+ in their games, and although Luka, Embiid have reach 70+ in their past games, I doubt they'll be able to break that this season. It's not a norm now and sometimes when a players scores a lot, it will ruined the chemistry of the team especially if he is doing that every game. It will become an individual build up instead of a team.

I even doubt that the record of Kobe which is 81 points will be broken anytime soon. We know Kobe loves to shot, he loves to carry his team but things have really change a lot not, teams value teamwork more than individual work.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 26, 2024, 11:43:35 AM
Mike Tyson is a boxer with experience, he is not a coach. What can he teach Ngannou despite his favourite peak-a-boo? Sure he can give advices, but they are completely different boxers. I doubt that tactics and style Tyson coaches put in his head, will work same with a boxer with different height and reach.
He was with him during Ngannou's fight with Fury, and I think he is a big factor on that success although he wasn't the one coaching it. I'm not sure what his role is but most likely he is a trainor and gives Ngannou a fighting style that he used during his prime as a boxer, and since Tyson is still active in boxing although not as a fighter, we can assume that he continues to develop his knowledge and that's his value to Ngannou's camp.

As to "ruin fight again" - do you Ngannou won that fight against Fury? Maybe due to that knockdown? Knockdown only turns round from 10-9 to 10-8. That knockdown in third round is scored 10-8 in scorecard. Everything is fair.

That was a controversial fight. Maybe the really lose but nobody expected the fight would be that close. And Fury is not AJ, Fury is way better, so maybe we will see an even chances here, or Ngannou could make his first win in boxing via KO.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 26, 2024, 11:05:09 AM
Congratulations @Hypnosis00 on the Pacers and Knicks pick. It does look like it's a free gift, a huge trap that the public had problem get into the hole. It wasn't even a thrilling game, I mean, Pacers and Knicks had dominated from the very start. Sixers had some run in the 4th to came back to the game but not enough as Pacers had already build a good lead.

Can't really trust the line though, when it's too good to be true, better sit it down or bet on the other side.
368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies afraid to comment on threads of highly ranked members? on: January 25, 2024, 10:52:26 PM
It’s normal to feel some fears when you are engaging discussion with some heros and legendary members knowing your are less knowledgeable and less experienced in the market, but if you tolerate this kind of attitude, you will never grow and won’t see yourself going out from your comfort zone.

I suggest to educate yourself everyday so that you will overcome your fears, and challenge yourself to discuss with higher positions, aside the fact that you can learned from them, you will also feel more motivated to improve yourself because you want to be  successful too just like them. Remember that there is no competition in the forum, but if you deprive yourself from  engaging on such discussions, you are losing your opportunity to see your growth and development.
369  Other / Meta / Re: Other Forum members are more civil than Legendary members, Why? on: January 25, 2024, 09:59:33 PM
Not actually pride but let’s just say that these legendary members are highly experienced already  that they become very practical as well. They don’t have to beat around the bush since it’s only a waste of time, but stick to the point where it is needed. And if you say they are using words that are quite offensive or rude to others, I guess you have to not expect kind words all the time since the world itself is even tough. Sometimes, for us to get the point easily, we need not hurtful words actually but short and precise words that will leave an impact to everyone.
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: January 25, 2024, 09:27:02 PM
a good journey, where indeed I myself also felt that at first I didn't expect that I could get to this point, considering that at first I didn't have the capital to invest, but in the end I did all that to get capital, I experienced many scam projects so that they weren't paid or paid. but it's not feasible, but if we are lucky and can manage it, it can be used as trading capital and while we are looking for capital we can learn to trade
It was an unforgettable experience, with capital generated from many airdrop or bounty projects with many fraudulent projects. I also can't believe I got to the position I am in now having so many investments that I can grow my portfolio. really don't use any initial capital, just hunt for free coins on many projects.

If you are always determined on your goal, then regardless how many times you fail, how many times you don’t get paid, but continue to work on it because eventually, you will still be successful at some point. Investing without capital is still possible, but make sure you have to invest a lot of time and effort to learn, otherwise you won’t reap anything in the future. If others have made it possible, I guess you can do it as well as a lot of us here started from a scratch.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: January 24, 2024, 01:07:16 PM

If Loma couldn't KO or win more rounds then it could be a win for George by decision. Loma not winning this fight is nowhere else to go. He has to win otherwise it will be a series of loss.

I have not seen Loma slowing down in his last fight against Haney he did better than Kambosos against Haney on two occasions so it's easy to figure out that Lomachenko will be a better fighter when the fight that is why I posted that we don't need a post for this fight.

Both fighters badly need to win this fight. I'm sure they will both go all out to prove that they deserve to be in contention for a title, It is always good to see if you see two fighters battling it out or surviving to stay in contention, the loser will slip further in ranking. The winner will move up and possibly earn another title fight.
Both fighters still have what it takes to be champion again it's just unfortunate that one of them will have to unless the fight ends in a draw.

Of course, he is still the same Loma whom who we praise. Loma lose to Haney was not convincing, and that until now the fans are still shouting for a rematch, if Haney would agree, we will see who the real winner is. If Kambosos could not even match the skills of Haney, I don't see any difference with Loma who has the power and also a very technical fighter.

I think this fight will end Kambosos career in boxing as he is now in a losing streak .And as on the choices in the poll, I voted for Loma winning via KO.

Not surprise seeing that 77.8% of the users voted for that. Well, it will likely happen as Kambosos are not good in playing defense, so he needs to have a solid chin to surive this fight even if he lose.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 24, 2024, 12:07:34 PM
I don't see it that way. The toughest? These two boxers you've mentioned didn't even hurt Inoue, they were champions but they are just playing solid defense without an offense, but still it resulted to a KO win by Inoue. The toughest was against Donaire, during the first meeting, Inoue got hurt but he was smart to make an adjustment and manage to win the fight.

He said in the last 3 years. The first fight of Inoue vs Donaire happened last November 7, 2019, so he is right. The 2nd fight was in 2022 where Inoue just dismantled Donaire and could probably resulted to his silent retirement because we are not seeing him now although he hasn't announce it officially yet.

Maybe you forgot about the year, time flies fast, right?

373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 24, 2024, 09:43:34 AM
Bucks is 30-13 and 2nd in the NBA standing but the management don't like teams defensive performance so they fired Adrian Griffin. Bucks had the second-best percentage of teams to let their coach go after the Cavs parted ways with David Blatt in 2015-16. According to rumours Doc Rivers is a top candidate for the job. They have both Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. A team with such great players and aiming for the championship should have such an experienced coach.

Why was Adrian Griffin fired? I couldn't understand why they would do such a thing when they had such a good winning percentage and the team was the second best team in the NBA.
Doc Rivers is a legend, he will have a huge impact on the team becoming champions. If he stays with the Bucks for many years, they can be a team that wins back-to-back championships. But I think it's interesting that they made such a decision in the middle of the season. I hope the team doesn't start playing badly after Griffin

We don't know what's happening behind the scene but based on my observations, there are games where the Bucks are not on the same page. I mean, with their strong line up, they should dominate their opponents especially the weak teams, but that didn't happen, they look dull on the court and it's always been Giannis who are carrying the team, with that kind of play, I doubt they'll beat the Celtics or the Heat.

This changes is due to the fact that they are not satisfied with the job of the coach, and despite having a good record, it's not that relevant for them as they want more, they need to be a championship team and ensure they'll win the championship. Doc Rivers, have the experience but he's messing up on the past teams he handles, maybe this time he'll find a success.
There could be loopholes on Griffin, but I think he did a good job as the coach. Remember that they've traded their defensive guard in Holiday just to get Dame. So that's a lot already, they needed to do some adjustments and they really one of the best teams right now.
If I'm not mistaken, when they acquired Lillard, they also change their coach. So we can't tell who really is the problem, could it be the player/s or the coach, but since he's been fired, now we can assume that the problem is the coach.

I guess everyone was caught by surprised and getting Doc Rivers? No offense to him but after this success with the Celtics, he didn't even get closer to get a ring as far as I can remember. So this is a bit awkward and maybe someone inside though, or some players wanted Doc Rivers to be their coach, just saying. Hopefully this will turn very positive for them, otherwise, the fans are going to make fun of Rivers or even the Bucks for firing Adrian Griffin when they are in the best shape and has a winning percentage.

I also don't get why they hired Doc Rivers, maybe they still have fate in him. Besides, he won a championship with the Celtics, so they can't take away from him, and with this new team he's coaching, we are hoping that it will bring him success that he didn't get on the past teams he was coaching which I believe he was fired.
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: January 22, 2024, 06:58:07 PM
There are people who have learnt how to trade, practiced on demo accounts for long but have not had the money to try trading on the market, and so they have abandoned trading to try search for money first. While there are others who have too little income, that they cannot profit from the market trading, they are always worried about loosing and because of that they make mistakes with their technical analysis and end up loosing the little money they have. Should trading be exclusive to financially comfortable and rich because of how risky it is?
If you have tried a demo account and you abandoned trading because you don’t have money to trade, then I think you are not just ready to trade, because you don’t need much money before you will have to trade. I know if you are trading with little capital, then your profit will be kind of small, but that doesn’t mean you should abandon trading, you can just be trading and be building up your capital, and whenever you have more money, you can increase the amount you are trading with. Trading doesn’t stop you from doing other jobs, you just need a few hours or minutes if you want to trade, and you can go back to your job.

Trading is risky, but you just have to manage your risk. When you are trading, one of the first things you should learn is risk management. If you can’t manage your risk, even if you are wealthy, things might not work out well.
Trading doesn’t give us instant big profits. In fact, even if you trade with big capital, that will never guarantee a big profit as well. You might even suffer losses at firs, but that is only normal for beginner traders. Eventually when you developed your skills and working strategies, regardless of your amount of capital, you will surely make a positive trade.

It takes some time to manage the risk in trading. There may be lapses at some point, but when you continue working on it, you will end up managing its risks well.
375  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust social media on: January 22, 2024, 06:15:31 PM
Scammers will definitely make some dramas more interesting to the newbies. I believe those who commented below are not actually other persons but most likely part of the scamming team. With this, newbies would easily fall on this trap believing that the drama is real and would also want to be one of those people who aim for a quick income without even doing some thorough research and studies.

If there can be a place that looks highly deceiving these days, that's certainly the social media. We don't actually know these persons but it seems like they really are smart enough to get our attention and invest in them with very positive expectation afterwards.
376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A practical way to stop procrastinating and start your investment journey. on: January 22, 2024, 01:02:24 PM
Writing one’s goal on paper is not the best way to achieve one’s goal. It doesn’t work, I know this because at the beginning of every year, people get this idea of writing their New Year’s resolutions and for reasons they can’t explain they never really see it through. And they continue the cycle the next year. Did they lack motivation? Maybe. I believe what those people lack the most is discipline. Someone once said “ Discipline is the bridge between intentions and accomplishments.
Well, you won’t be procrastinating things if you have discipline in yourself. A lot of us set our own goals every year so we can be motivated and be guided to reach each of them. While others have been more disciplined and work hard to achieve their set goals, majority are still living in the same situation and it’s like nothing had changed due to procrastination. Setting aside things due to laziness or lack of motivation is an act of being irresponsible, and because of that, we can’t expect from these people to achieve goals on their own.
377  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your expectations for the few weeks after the halving period? on: January 22, 2024, 12:31:28 PM
If you have studied bitcoin price history as well as bitcoin halving, you will know that bitcoin price won’t rise immediately. We might be observing price plummeting before and after bitcoin halving, and I think that’s normal. It might take several months before seeing bitcoin price rising until it reaches its new all time high, so most probably people will be encourage to buy more so they can prepare for the real market bull run.

While history may have chances to repeat itself or not, the most important thing is we should know when to buy more and when to start selling. That’s the best way so we won’t see ourselves losing while others are enjoying their massive profits.
378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: January 21, 2024, 09:36:26 PM
I’d always go into lack of knowledge and education. People resort into trading thinking that’s it’s a quick way to earn a living without putting extra efforts and time, and end up losing all their funds. That’s why once you decide to trade or invest, it’s crucial to establish first even basic knowledge, because if you’re knowledgeable you will know how to instill discipline and control on your emotions, and you will know that trading without sufficient budget will always lead to possible losses. While trading requires sufficient amount of capital, but it’s also important to only trade on the amount that you can afford to lose.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on underdog by choosing a favorite spread to increase the odds. on: January 21, 2024, 02:43:03 PM
As much as possible, my advice is that if you don't have more experience and knowledge about which team is the favorite and which is not the favorite, you should not try to bet while the game is in progress, sometimes there are unexpected surprises at the end of the match which makes us ultimately disappointed with the results. I'm used to playing before. the match starts also when the match is in progress so everything is safe. but beginners should not try it  Grin

You should be aware of the betting odds first before you do a live betting, because if not, it's just like you are gambling hoping you'll get lucky. It's different when you study the game, analyze it as a win prove to be your success and you will feel confident with your picks. Choose quality over quantity, that's the secret, when we are selective with our bet, that is a sign of maturity in sports betting, I know newbies would eventually learn in the long run how to be matured.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 10:38:31 AM
For me the cash-out option in a casino particularly in sports betting is good but I don't find it appealing. Maybe because of my experience that I have regretted my decision to cash out early and just miss a big payout if I was patient to wait until the game is over. I think it's not about being patient but it's about "fear", a fear of losing that's why when we see the advantage we tend to cash out, but actually that does not give us favor, it always favor the sportsbook so although that kind of feature do exist, I tend not to mind it.
