Weak hands everywhere... this is why we need to get listed on as many exchanges as possible. Trex is great but the problem comes in when the entire waves economy is basically dependant on one exchange. We need exchanges to list and by that I mean not just polo. Perhaps the price drop is actually a good reason for exchanges to list now... makes it more lucrative for buyers.

Not lucrative for buyers. weak hands now prefer to invest to a sure token with a better team than WAVES. I myself moved to ICONOMI because it has better potential than WAVES. WAVES been up for months already and look what they got so far? it can't even open a fiat gateway. it will need more projects to be developed that will use the platform/token. it will take more years still before this will go up if indeed they are legit.
Dude! not cool to see you switching platforms... I know you were a big supporter of waves... However you need to do whatever works for you. Pitty you sold now that polo is finally on board.

The poloniex announcement was fake, it was faked with photoshop. Check out the poliniex twitter and you won't find it there.

https://twitter.com/poloniex

Poloniex took months to add decred and that gave it a small pump, but no coin can rely on any exchange, it went back down after the pump. Fast ongoing development stops dumps.
.

Agreed it was fake.

Of course it is fake.. It says that POLO market was added to the WAVESPLATFORM not vice versa. Did anyone actually read it?
Of course they didnt. Blinded by obsessive exchange disorder.

Waves on Polo just reminds me of LTC on GOX..

And we all know when GOX listed LTC, lol.

@DaddyH
Resolved? Happy with how it was effected?

@Dargo
Seeing many new users of Kraken (new ICONOMI holders) complain about the UI. Ive always thought it is awful to use/navigate. Wondering if this is getting a make-over anytime soon?

So I'm waiting for the refund of my deposit. I'll update as soon as this case has been resolved.

So my case has now been resolved. Unfortunately I could never make that deposit. So I had to use another broker after 6 weeks from my attempt with kraken. Overall I'm happy Kraken did what they could even though I have been left out of pocket with a series of banking fees for deposits and processing charges for absolutely nothing. Paycash even took a pound of flesh for the pleasure of them sitting on my money for nearly 2 months.

Kraken stressed they do not offer any fiat based compensation as per their internal policy- instead they offered KFEE. I reluctantly accepted in the interest of drawing a line under this matter.

What I will say is that for any folks in the UK looking to deposit GBP via Kraken/PayCash - please don't. I've been scarred and unlikely to try SWIFT payments to Kraken ever again. This is no slight on Kraken - just on the rip-off, unprofessional, appalling PayCash that service this function. Seriously in today's world there is no place for companies like PayCash. I hope there is some measure of Karma in store for PayCash in the future.

The big thing that nobody will ever compensate me for is the loss of trading opportunity. I knew 2 months ago what bitcoin was going to do - and I tried to buy while the prices was £4xx. My average purchase price by the time funds had arrived (via another broker) was £560.
Cheers for the updated feedback.

Their place in this world would at least be eroded, if Kraken found another partner.
In any event, good to hear you feel Kraken has at least helped to bring this issue to a close. Not sure i would be so magnanimous.
Good luck.

This is a document of the directors of the NEM. He seems to be arrested before.

No need for the FUD, this is old news from when he was a teenager... Tongue
He is not a "director" of XEM anyway.
For a teenager, thats a fine bit of money management. He was on target to turnover ~$1M for that year, going by the pattern of those year 1999 payments.

.....however.....its still not clear to me how can this technique can be applied to precious stones and jewelry. A killer app, for sure.

Providence and audit trails can stop all sorts of fraud and misrepresentations.  In the case of the supply chain for precious stones and jewelry, the application is pretty simple.  If the major producers set up providence for the legitimate production of their product, and that is maintained through the supply chain, then the insertion of "blood diamonds" or other illegitimate products is much harder. They would lack the providence trail that the legitimate product has.

So say you are a re-seller.  You have some inventory of legitimate product that you wish to mix with illegitimate product to increse your supply.  With digital providence, you can only document the legitimate product you are holding.  You can't document the illegitimate product, and transferring the documentation of one to the other eliminates your ability to sell the legitimate product as legitimate.

This works for a host of goods and even services.

And it doesn't require TPP Cheesy

Paul

Yes, correct.
Now assign the identity of a new diamond or piece of jewelry that you want to digitise onto a blockchain. How is that physically done when you cant put any piece of third party ID device, on it?
And the second question would be, whatever way/technique you use, how am i completely convinced as a joe-public buyer, that the blockchain reference for that piece of jewelry or stone, is irrefutably connected, to said jewelry or stone?

In the supply chain, you do not have to tie the physical to the providence.  The fact that you can't create TWO document streams means that the diamonds are immaterial.  You can only sell one as real, and sell the other as undocumented.  And there is no economic or legal reason to care.  The documentation cannot be duplicated, so only the number of legitimate diamonds are traded as legitimate.  Today it is just too easy to mix legitimate with the illegitimate so that the industry ends up selling both as legitimate.  That is what providence can stop.

For the diamond example in particular, you can look at what companies like Everledger are doing to identify diamonds. From a CoinDesk article:

"Before a stone like this can be digitised ... it needs a unique identifier – a fingerprint – that allows it to be tracked on Everledger’s platform as it changes hands.

"This is calculated from 40 data points related to each stone – alongside the Four C's. Any diamond over 0.16 carats will also have a serial number inscribed on its girdle during the grading process.

"While a criminal could reshape a stone to distort its 'digital fingerprint', Kemp explained that diamonds are not, in fact, the sum of their parts. The cutting process results in a lot of wastage, so any attempt to alter a diamond, or split it into two, will drastically reduce its value."

http://www.coindesk.com/everledger-blockchain-tech-fight-diamond-theft/

Though this obviously wouldn't work for most other objects (chickens, turnips, shoes ...).
Yeah that makes sense, and hey, the shoe could work if they are considered valuable........."Beyond stones, the company is also "aggressively pursuing" other opportunities in the luxury goods space. Many valuables, from handbags to boats, are now equipped with RFID tags - a technology Kemp has a long history with.
Luxury goods is a big spend, and there are a lot of items, a lot of money and cross-border as well - that's where the blockchain comes in, the ability for it to be a global ledger."

Maybe Smartrac are going to enable their RFID's or could re-develop the dLOC sticker, to suit.

Just a thought.......if you insert a blockchain enabled RFID or dLOC sticker on/in an assayed registered block of gold, have you turbo charged the fungibility of said block of gold?

Two awesome news in less than a week time - Gates & Smartrac - and the price goes below the 300k mark.

Most sane posture is to stay long and not to be bothered by the short terms price fluctuation... Cause there is no sense it in.
Yep. Something changed in the coinmarket/s recently. The usual levers and buttons, dont seem to work any more. Not just Factom.
An obvious clue is the significant drop-off of volume on Polo, but its like the alt willy-bots were turned off!
Yeah yeah, cos bitcoin rally an all that, but even so, it exposes what a true alt market should be, maybe.

New partnership with traditional-identity-documents management company.
Thats the kind of cross-over into already established markets, crypto needs. The possibilities for broad blockchain adoption have just gone up  a notch, or three.

Delete this post if you want, but maybe at the same time, you should rename this thread as the 'donations to the jesus delusionals'.
Maybe just pay him what he wants and wish him well, cos you're continued engagement with this divisive fruitcake, is probably not good for you right now, if ive understood your situation correctly.

SO random dudes and traders should spam Poloniex? I don't think that's a good approach. There must be a better way than that.
Please post the link here in the thread. The photo doesn't make any sense.

Hello how big is the Komodo Team ? How people work on it ? Thanks for all Infos

Have a good time
Cryptomankey

You can find team members and advisors here https://komodoplatform.com/#about, some of them have small bios included. Moreover there are job opportunities available.
This seems to be a constant need....even back in the NXT days. Why? Why are people not jumping at the chance to be part of Jame's vision? Ive never understood, why apparently, so few people get involved.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: November 19, 2016, 09:25:48 AM
Ok can someone tell me that what is the real benefit of buying and holding Factoids?
I mean I knew that Factom company is good and all but will FCT holder get benefit of Factom growth?

If you cant tell, I think you re definitely in the wrong place.

You benefit when the price goes up so you can sell and make some money. What kind of question is that? It s not as if Brian and Paul re gonna make and deliver cookies back to you.

So you gonna say that Factoids is just for speculation  and there is no use case beside registering for entry?

Name me one other coin which s got some other user besides BTC. What does ETH do for me? What to XMR do for me? You can buy/sell/cashout, speculate and that s it. What else would you like? For this to cure world famine?
I hear you crazyivan.
Apart from one of the storage coins (Sia/Storj etc), i would consider GAME to have the best chance of crossing over to broad based adoption, other than buy/sell/cashout/speculate, currently.
