A German, a Brit and a Spaniard walk into a bar... sounds like a party!!

The Spaniard asks "Hey, can I have a Job?"

The German says "No more bail outs!"

The Brit vomits on his shoes.

Most of crypto runs on open source hardware. Please explain?

Go ask AMD for their full hardware schematics and driver source code, retard.

Don't have to ask...

Interesting so 2 rounds worked for you...

Didn't try 2 rounds yet.  This was 1 round.

So is anonymization with 1 round working or not working? I tried it a few versions ago, and it seemed to work.

Created new wallet.

Sent (almost) 50 DRK

This is the result:

Latest version working just as it is supposed to.

I hate Paypal with a passion. Ebay as well. Can't wait until cryptocurrencies and decentralized markets make those fuckers bleed.

I took PayPal to court and beat their ass.  If I can do it, DRK can do it!

the reasons why people should avoid US companies is due to the NSA revelations and to similar stories of lavabit. Basically, if you run something that the US government does not want, they will go after you, which in this case would be to go after masternodes.

Lets not forget this: http://lavabit.com/

US based sure, but internationally ?
No way,
what you think these agent are gonna come to Hong Kong, Japan, Iceland, China, Russia ,..... and shut everybody down ?
NO WAY !
the NSA can play in their backyard as much as they want
internationally nobody gives a flying fuxx .....  Grin .....>>

Tell that to the Tanzanians...

Yes, but if it is sooooo important why doesn't Litecoin hide IP addresses?

This is the wrong place to ask, as this is the DarkCoin thread.  Try asking here:

https://litecoin.org/

EDIT:  Please report back when they give you an answer.

No seriously, why would anyone need to hide their IP address from their financial transactions?

To prevent the giant NSA database from knowing every last piece of information to connect every last dot.

So let me get this straight.

Every machine on the inter web has a unique identifier.

Just as you would address a letter to send in the mail, computers use the unique identifier to send data to specific computers on the inter web.

So if I send transactions out and people can see my IP, they know who I am, and can track my spending?

Yes, they can track your spending.  They will also add the following to your profile by using that IP:

Medical history,
Online chats,
Browsing history, etc.

Then they can analyze "you" by analyzing your profile and the profiles of all your contacts.  Anything you can do to throw a spanner wrench into this process will help you sleep better at night.

...We are not here to replace Bitcoin. We are here to replace Litecoin and become established as the Nr.2 crypto currency...

Litecoin has so many advantages over DRK, it's hard to count them all.

1 - LTC was here first,
2 -

uh, give me a minute...
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gotta vent - eBay/Paypal suck! AND some people are just scum on: July 08, 2014, 03:43:54 AM
My story is similar, but with a twist.

The time between the original purchase and my getting the miner back in the mail was 4 months.  I immediately relisted and resold the item.  My EBay buyer filed a complaint with PayPal instead of EBay.  I took PayPal to small claims court and requested the difference between the 2 purchase prices.

The Judge told them to pay up!

Pay up they did!

I recommend trying this approach if you have a little extra time on your hands.  PM me if you need some pointers.

...still talking - and that doesn't help any exchange owner for now...

I took PayPal to court and beat their ass.  A Judge with a brain and a sense of humor can shred their TOS.  Never forget, PayPal is the enemy.  That being said, you can always use your enemy to your advantage.

Yes, but how much did it cost you, fees etc?

Filing fee  -$30
Service fee - $15
Judge added them on top - Priceless
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: PAYPAL STARTED MASSIVE ACCOUNT BAN ON ANYTHING BITCOIN RELATED on: April 17, 2014, 04:36:42 AM
I took PayPal to court and beat their ass just 2 weeks ago.

I sold a mining rig on EBay for $1,200.
Buyer claimed it didn't work.
I included screenshots of bfgminer working just fine, thank you very much.
I tried an extensive amount of tech support with him, he finally told me to go to hell and couldn't figure it out.
Guy files a claim with PayPal claiming "not as described" 2 months later.
They took purchase price out of my account.
Guy ships it back to me.
It works great.
I sold it on EBay again for $300.
New buyer is happy.  Works fine.

I took PayPal to small claims court in San Jose, CA (down the street from their office).
Judge ordered them to pay me the difference of $900.
Yesterday they paid.

Next week I will start transferring shares to CT so our investors can start trading.

Can I highly recommend using Cryptomex.io instead? They will be launching very soon.

THIS

"THIS" is a bad idea.  CT is already up, running, and we are already set up and trading on it.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 180,000 BTC (old coins) have just moved on: March 09, 2014, 03:12:59 AM
Someone with >180000BTC do not want to be tracked? Smiley

200,000 is the real number.  Not that the extra 20,000 BTC amounts to much anymore  Shocked

Tracking is so easy, even I could do it.  There must be another reason.  Theories anyone?
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 180,000 BTC (old coins) have just moved on: March 09, 2014, 02:48:35 AM
Pretty entertaining.  Start here:

https://blockchain.info/address/1KecDYadohxk8MCDqKF8SBEMhCUNveAsCj

At 2014-03-07 05:01:08 we see 200,000 coins appear.  2 hours later they get split into groups of 2.  For instance:

https://blockchain.info/tx/1dda0f8827518ce4d1d824bf7600f75ec7e199774a090a947c58a65ab63552e3

Now for the fun part.  Every hour or so (confirming), these "halfs" get split in 2 again.  Now just follow it through:
(I'll only use the bigger half for illustration)

1Nobu... gets 94,000, then

1PYAf... gets 51,000, then

1NKzK... gets 29,000, then

so on and so on and so on.  Fast forward to the current time:

15HdW... gets 12 BTC.  Waiting for confirms.

-----------------------------

How long before these 200,000 BTC get split up into 200,000 addresses by this halving procedure?
