I'll take a closer look once you post the items in the marketplace Bitcoin friday is fast approaching and we may not be able to get most items back in stock.. Which really sucks, obviously. But the discount will obviously still apply for preorders. We are slowly but surely receiving parts, I hope that we will have most diode lasers in stock within a week, and green lasers within two weeks. Scratch that, it seems the greens will be in stock in time for friday A new green laser is also arriving, 150mW. And I'm working on improving the kit to provide better heatsinking. In other news, we have changed advertising solution, because I was pretty much scammed by bitcoinadvertising.com. If you are interested in advertising on bitlasers, check out Operation Fabulous.

No thanks, not really interested in any of those things unfortunately Maybe if there's something I'd really like, but I find trading in general kind of a hassle

got those backordered parts yet?
Unfortunately not, I have no idea what's going on with these ridiculous shipping times. I'm just hoping it will arrive before bitcoin friday.

Some news: I've been told that China Post is experiencing major congestion right now, which would explain why it takes so long to restock lasers. Several shipments lately have used 5-6 weeks from Asia to me. I'm sorry, but I can't do anything other than saying that I'm trying my best to keep lasers stocked. Also, as written on our twitter: BitLasers will be participating in Bitcoin Friday, a bitcoin community-wide sale on November 9th. If you are considering buying a laser, this would be the time. The details of the sale will be revealed later.

I think this problem can be fixed by being more open to zero-confirmation transactions, especially when we're talking about <50 BTC. Let's face it, if someone managed to manipulate the protocol, it wouldn't make sense for them to use it to scam people out of relatively tiny amounts.

The truth is that bitcoin would never have been as popular as it is today if the black market, specifically silk road, didn't kickstart it's awareness. I actually believe it still is the main recruiting factor.

The green 100mW laser is now in stock as well

Successful trade, thanks.

The 1300mW blue laser is now back in stock, and we are awaiting even more parts in the coming days.

What security precautions do SWC take against hackers?
For example, if some hackers did manage to break into your server and steal every bitcoin in unencrypted wallets on that server, would the users take the loss or are you enough protected to still be able to continue the site and/or pay out users that requests it? How many, percentage wise, of the coins in your system are stored in a) offline storage and/or b) properly encrypted wallets?
After all the hacking recently, I don't know if I would trust any service that does not store enough coins on offline servers to still function should a hacking take place.

I'm interested in picking up a "Bitbrew." When do you expect these to be back in stock?
They should've been in stock weeks ago.. Two shipments of parts left China Sep. 13th and Sep 20th respectively and none of them have arrived yet. So it's hard to say, they could be in stock tomorrow, or the shipments could somehow be lost in the mail system entirely.. UPDATE: It seems the parts have finally entered my country, they should be in stock in a few days.

Noen som vet om det fysiske butikker i det hele tatt i Norge som aksepterer bitcoin? Spesielt i bergensområdet. Har sett noen i Finland og Danmark.

The newest? I haven't noticed anything but advantages with every new version, and older versions have severe problems such as DDoS vulnerabilities.

I don't like it, it's not linear. There's hardly any difference in the value of 1 satoshi and 100 000 satoshies as of now, but there is a huge difference in value between 10^6 satoshies and 10^9 satoshies. All those zeroes will just confuse people.

Having a standardized style guide is common with organizations to maintain uniformity and clarity in printed communications. When I write blog posts or official emails, I like to know I'm following the accepted convention.
I don't think we will ever be able to get a final standardized style though. I mean, even dollars doesn't have one. I vary between "USD", "$" and "dollars" all the time.
