361  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU+USA facility - need samples for one board on: September 23, 2013, 01:02:38 PM
Agreed,  I  want this thing to work consistently. I,  as well as most others will be running these 24/7 and don't want any problems with a cheap fan or some other component. As far as someone making a profit (or not)  shouldn't really matter. Buyers need to figure  out what they are willing to pay per GH/s and if this fits then pull the trigger. For those of us in Lucko's group buy, we are buying from Lucko and he should be sending out an email soon enough letting us know the details.

You will be buying boards from me. We (me and JJ) might buy some components together(if that will decrees the price) but I will make GB board in Slovenia. Chips will come to me so there is no point of sending them to JJ... JJ will only mount chips for north America the rest of the world is me...

I hope I will manage to write you a mail today(need to run to work and over the weekend we had a harvest in vineyard) so I can explain everything...
I was just curious as to what the logistics were. Take your time, the chips aren't even here yet.

After that we will need to order parts for boards to have everything ready when chips come. If anyone from batch 2 or 3 is ready to pay for board at this time that will help a lot with the price. You will receive details in the mail.

Forgive me if I seem slow, but is the plan to try to buy as many boards from JJ as a group to try to get a bulk discount?  If so is there any indication as to what our (lucko's group buy) price per board will be?

This is a zero fee pool as far as charging a percentage of your earnings , but the the pool keeps the tx fees for expenses and such. Block rewards are divided according to work load the pool doesn't keep any of the 25 BTC from the block. I think I am saying this correctly  I'm sure someone will tell me if I'm not.

Hey BitPop I sent you a pm...

Thanks for the explanation. Wow 5000  shares a second, that brings up a question. At some point will this number get so high that a minimum difficulty be set on the miner's side so so much traffic isn't being sent?

That was a quick turnaround, Thanks WizKid057.

I could be mistaken here but I don't think my unpaid balance and the others were updated after the last block was found. I only noticed because it was such a long round.

Edit: Maybe the last 2 blocks found have not been added...

I see several people have pledged to buy shares. Does that mean that they haven't paid anything towards their shares? If so when do you plan on collecting the payments? Do you plan to order the miner once funds have been collected or have you already ordered it? Did I read the first post correctly you have 10 shares paid for and another 25 pledged? I  apologize for bombarding you with questions...
Thx,
GrapeApe

Edit: I was reading this earlier on my phone and yes I know I had this all confused (I'm a jackass). I have answered most of my own questions by reading the thread and going to your website. This seems like a pretty good deal, I'll be honest I am stretched a little thin because of some other group buys but I am going to see what I can put together and try and get at least 2 shares. By the way I am in Austin Tx where Cointerra is based and what this means I don't know but I felt the need to share. I'll be in touch...
370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU+USA facility - need samples for one board on: September 12, 2013, 08:06:29 PM
Just some food for thought...

No Offense but 1 th/s wont be jack shit come January. Just sayin' Smiley

Especially if knc ships 28nm ontime (October 15th), I have 2 th/s of avalon asics now, which to me is barely anything these days.

It's much smarter to get hashing sooner than later even on a smaller scale, the difficulty level is rising at record levels every difficulty change.

Also I wanted to note to people to keep updated on the cgminer thread,  the latest news is Bitfury devices wont be compatible for awhile, there is some issue there, I had the link but I lost it, if you look for it you can find the info.

We use the same micro controller and firmware as BFL - our devices will be compatible out of the box just like BFL's are, plus they will be available much sooner.

We will be ready as soon as BFL starts shipping chips which should be soon, they may be backlogged on devices but that takes assembly, the availability of other components and all sorts of other things that causes delays, chip shipments should be timely.

Just putting in my two cents Smiley

Sometimes forums aren't the best forum for communication my sentiment was of disappointment not excitement (after rereading my post I understand the assumption though). My thought was my 64 GH/s won't be much worth it but you are right about a bird in hand is better than two in the bush. So at the risk of looking fickle I am taking back the offer to sell my chips and sticking with the plan. At no point did I loose my faith in the cointamination project (this development has exceeded any promises and expectations). I am just getting very concerned about the rise in difficulty, 300,000,000 seemed so improbable to me a year ago but now I thinkit is right around the corner. Hell something like 135,000,000 is next...

I stand corrected next estimate at the moment is 110,000,000.

Wow,  Cointerra right here in Austin TX announced today that they are selling pre-orders for 1TH/S ($3499) January delivery. I have 8 chips in batch 2 and 8 in batch 3 (50% paid)  I would be willing to sell all 16 for 3.3 BTC  or 1.7 BTC for 8. Send me a pm if interested...

Edit: Nevermind I'm keeping my chips.
372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - EU+USA facility - need samples for one board on: September 09, 2013, 12:18:30 AM
Forgive me but what website and group buyers should have priority.
They have so don't worry. If I have to mount chips for a person who is not part of a GB and GB buyer or someone who helped guess who will be first...
Yeah I figured as such I was really responding to post before mine.

I think that GB buyers will be proceed in EU... Need to figure this one out how can we make this at best cost and speed for you... For sure the board that will be hosted will be processed hire. Not 100% sure for the rest...
I'm flexible so I’m open to whatever you come up with.
375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL board project COINTAMINATION - Production board ready on: August 18, 2013, 02:41:38 AM
I'm happy to announce that we have a USA assembly house available for this project. So anyone from USA can get there chips mounted there...

The chips and boards will be assembled at a top notch west cost facility. This will get things faster and cheaper for USA clients...

That is good news. How does that work for those that have chips in multiple chip batches  that were planning on having you host the incomplete board while waiting on remaining chips? I don't expect you to have all the answers to everything yet I'm just bringing it up. I would have ordered 16 chips in one batch but I'll be honest I didn't expect you guys to get a 16 chip board going. I am happy to be wrong...
376  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [BFL-Chip Groupbuy] $27,5/chip 50% - BTC,PayPal,SEPA - 420 sold, 0/100 batch #4 on: August 17, 2013, 10:40:02 PM
Well smaller you get higher frequency you can have and you can put more in chip. It also uses less power. But I can't see BFL hit 350W for 600GH... KNCminer is using same technology and it is using 1KW for 400GH. So I guess this is FPGA and ASIC all over again... Making the wrong estimate...

Good enough?

Yes it is thx.
Yep they are claiming they can produce a 600GH/s box at 350w pre order now for a Nov - Dec 2013 delivery.....Whatever.

So Butterfly Labs has announced a 28nm Version 2 asic chip.... I don't mean to hijack this thread with this topic but I was hoping someone could briefly explain what the difference between a 65nm chip vs 28nm. Is the size smaller  ( nano-meter) which maybe means less heat and same or better performance? I obviously don't what I'm talking about here and looking for a short lesson.

Hello everyone. Please check your Eligius stats info it ow. In [Eligius Pool Statistics] --> [My User Stats Page],  Unpaid Balance / Shelved Shares / Hashrate Average / Weighted Shares do not update any more.  What's the issue ?

Shares are still being accepted. So most likely everything  is fine. Wizkid057  has a bunch of failsafes in place to counter attacks. It is a very reliable pool.

I  added my nickname and changed the minimum payout about 36 hours ago and haven't seen the changes take effect.  I'm not complaining just wanted to point it out.

Quote directly from top of control panel:
*** Panel is in BETA. Not all None of the options are supported yet. ***

You may set all options now, and they will take effect as backend support is completed!
Yes I saw that but maybe it should say^^^^^ Anyway I like what you've  done. Thanks
