And excuse me, why should I ask anyone anything privately?  If you've got criticism about what's going on in my brain, why don't you PM me?  Better yet don't, because I don't care.
Because you are obviously very much invested and interested in this subject along with TrollyBad.
It doesn't look to me that someone who don't care about this would write eight posts in this topic and getting in all the nitty gritty details, but sure I could be wrong Wink

Yeah, and criticizing valid criticism is a great way to drop posts....dude, you're better than this.
I wasn't talking about you, but sure I can also criticize behavior of any members, and it can be very healthy to accept criticism sometimes.
Cheers.
3722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can amA User's Forum Account Be Hacked? on: September 29, 2022, 11:27:52 AM
As a newbie, I always login to check if my forum account is still intact. I want to know if it's possible for my account to be hacked.
You wrote only three posts in bitcointalk forum and you are so concerned about your account getting hacked? C'mon man  Roll Eyes
It's not like you are hiding top secret information here, but yes everything can be hacked including forum account and it's mostly happening by owners mistake with phishing attacks.
Just be careful when opening any pages, check address bar, don't click any links in messages from unknown people, and you will be just fine.
3723  Economy / Securities / Re: [IBCO - Whitelist] ⚽🎰 Casino Critique⭐ FREE Chip for BCT Members ❤️‍🔥 on: September 29, 2022, 11:00:17 AM
What's going to happen to the 0.005BTC if that's all that's raised?  Is the team going to try to get the project started, will refunds be issued, or what?
First you said they only collected 0.005 btc and now you are concerned what is going to happen with that, it's not like they collected millions in this process  Cheesy
If you are so concerned about this funds you know who escrow members are and you can ask them privately if you want.

This is imho rather unlikely and would hurt their reputation. So imho while some concerns may be OK, this looks exaggerated to me.
However, people can simply ask the escrows about that. It's not CC who has to say that (if he would be malicious he could easily lie anyway).
Way to exaggerated, but I guess people need to write something in forum and like creating drama Wink
It's not the first time some project didn't collect projected funds, so you don't need t be rocket scientist to understand why someone would drop out their escrow position.
I guess some people could spend days talking about this and create some wild conspiracy theories about 0.005 btc or $97...
3724  Economy / Service Discussion / BTCMap.org on: September 28, 2022, 03:10:06 PM
I am currently testing cool new app called BTCMap that is using open source dataset provided by OpenStreetMap, and it can be used as web app or as apps on Android and iOS devices.
You can easily find places to spend sats anywhere on earth and you can contribute by adding new locations or correcting mistakes with current locations.
It's not perfect and I see lot of space for improvements, but as they say - FOSS for the win, google maps in the bin Wink

Website: https://btcmap.org/
Github: https://github.com/teambtcmap

Please test this this app and post your suggestions.
I am not affiliated with BTCMap in any way, but I like the project and I like what they are doing.

3725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [LAUNCHED] Bitcoincleanup.com: a website to stop Greenpeace's bitcoin FUD. on: September 28, 2022, 02:46:35 PM
1 - Should I start a counter-petition demanding the White House drop its anti-Proof of Work bills?
It's not a bad idea but I would certainly include someone who is already familiar with US law before starting any partition.
I am sure there are a lot of Bitcoiners who would support this petition, but you need to be smart and think one step ahead.
Making some kind of social media campaign along with bitcointalk campaign would be a great way to get more attention.

2 - Should I start a mailing list similar to what Greenpeace is doing?
I am not a fan of making any mailing list, those can easily get hacked or leaked, but I guess you could tell people to create new separate email for this puprose.

3 - Will people link to this site so that it quickly ranks on Google? In other words, will people actually use the site? (I've been in the SEO rat race for almost two years - I can tell you that it's impossible to get pageviews unless there are people actually willing to use the site).
I don't see any harm in doing this, if links are bitcoin related.
Google SEO and algorithm is not that great and I would say it can be bias especially if the green new deal invests a lot of money in opposite direction  Tongue

I would suggest that you try translating content of your website to all other major world languages, and I think you could even find few volunteers on this forum.
In other topic I already wrote about updating current logo and making it more different from green altcoin cash.
3726  Other / Meta / Re: Forum advertising space for free signature/avatar advertisement on: September 28, 2022, 02:35:46 PM
I commissioned him for a Sr member and hero/legendary member signature, but if there is demand for full member and member then I will have those designed as well (or I will just do it myself).
Bitcoincleanup website is a great idea but may I suggest using a bit of orange color along with the green for signature and maybe for updated logo, because at current state it reminds me a lot on BCH Bcash altcoin logo Wink
This is just a suggestion, and I appreciate all your work collecting information and creating this website.
3727  Economy / Goods / Re: Make charging your EV a passive income on: September 28, 2022, 02:24:16 PM
All the users that are using the services are investors who invested in the project in 2019. We've done a crowdfunding program. The price is for an installation, installation can be done only for one car for one purchase. We announced the service here before launching the website because we want to spread the word before making it public for everyone and it's a successful strategy for now because hate and rejection make a better hype than everything.
Oh really? Why don't you be so kind a show as your crowdfunding page so we can confirm this information.
Unless all your investors are coming from Bulgaria, that country must be known worldwide for many electric vehicle owners and investors   Cheesy
Nobody here is hating or rejecting anything, but more you speak more this sounds like one big scam and selling of snake oil.
3728  Economy / Goods / Re: Make charging your EV a passive income on: September 28, 2022, 12:50:57 PM
Price: 0.28 BTC

The price is for a car and it's a lifetime purchase with NO other subscriptions or fees.
What do you mean price is for a car?
You don't have any website, there are no real explanation how this magical passive income works, and you expect people would blindly send you Bitcoin like this...  Cheesy
I am sure it's going to be easy for you to show us some proof for 600 allegedly sold units of your money making machine.
I wonder where all this people came and how they found out about you...
3729  Other / Archival / Re: Current list of exchanges without KYC on: September 28, 2022, 11:33:17 AM
I wouldn't call MEXC top exchange like @Ratimov (there are other things to consider other than inflated volume when deciding whether some exchange is "top") did but its not a bad place to trade wide selection of shitcoins, as that's whats its main role. And yeah, wouldn't trust them with amounts higher than a few thousands of dollars.
Honestly I never registered on MEXC and I never used it, so I can't say how good or bad they are, but their volume is probably all fake.
I am not saying this exchange is not working right now, but isn't 20 BTC withdrawal limit for MEXC looks suspicious, when all other exchanges are reducing their limits or totally removing them like Binance.
I don't know many other reliable exchanges that ever had such a big withdrawal limit per day, but anyway I just registered to test how it is working.
Interface is like a mix of Binance and Kucoin, pages are opening fast so I don't have any complains so far.
3730  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Two Binance Sites on: September 28, 2022, 11:07:28 AM
Are these two sites related/identical?

If you have an acc in Binance, can you access your acc in both sites?

Which one is genuine? Which one is scam?
Binance.com is their official domain and I would be careful with any other alternative domains, unless they publicly confirmed it's owned by them.
I checked binance.me domain and it was registered back in 2017 and it doesn't have the same registrar information like .me domain.
However, one reddit post I found is saying that this is their second official domain.

There was a video on YouTube, where Gavin said in an interview that he doubt that CSW is Satoshi, that was quite after he got fooled by Faketoshi. I cant find that video anymore, but I watched it like 3-4 years ago.
Are you kidding me?  Cheesy
First he made public blog in 2016 claiming Craig is Satoshi, than he made multiple video interviews confirming this.
Someone can do many good things in life but they can be ruined with one stupid mistake like this, and he waited until 2020 to say that he could be wrong.
You have to be really stupid, naive or malicious actor to wait for years before you can say you got fooled and you made wrong decision to go out in public with this crap.

3732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlonaut Trial on: September 27, 2022, 06:19:24 PM
Intelligence agencies have been known to recruit people like Wright, the loose cannon grandiose narcissist pathological liar fantasist free agent type -- they're totally deniable as kooks and cons if things go wrong and they are easily controlled via copious dirt and their propensity for a 'fast' lifestyle.  But if it's true for Mr. Wright, we'll never know so I think it's not very useful to speculate about other than this:  Because it *could* be a state actor, we ought to fight it with all the vigor we'd fight an attack by a state actor.
Let me give you just one hint.
One government agency is known for ''talking'' with Gavin Andresen, and shortly after this happened Satoshi was gone and we can only speculate what really happened there.
But what we know for sure is that Gavin Andresen later claimed that he thinks Craig Wright is the real Satoshi, even if he never signed a message as a proof.
Gavin never clearly came out and said he was wrong, and almost infinite amount of money CSW team has is certainly rising suspicion.
3733  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Arculus Hardware Wallet Review / Warning on: September 27, 2022, 05:57:22 PM
Whoa, whoa, whoa. There are a lot of assumptions and falsehoods here.
What exactly was wrong assumptions and false information posted about Arculus?
All information posted by me was based on your website, and feedback on internet is not very good, to say at least.

International expansion is coming soon.
I guess people from rest of the world should just wait and pray you don't cancel access in future.
This is obviously centralized control and I would never use any hardware wallet like that

The wallet is completely anonymous.
You obviously know who order the wallet, and I don't know what you are doing with customer data.
Nobody can use this wallet unless they are in US, so that means you also know IP address and location of users at all times.
3734  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BTC demo wallet exists? on: September 27, 2022, 05:42:42 PM
Is there any Demo or tester BTC wallet I can use to transfer between wallets just to see how BTC transaction works? Thank you
Yes many Bitcoin wallets have testnet mode and you can use them perfectly fine with testnet coins.
Some of the wallets I know have testnet option are Electrum, Blockstream, Coinomi, Wasabi, and even hardware wallets like Trezor and ledger have this.
Note that testnet coins have no value and you can get them with faucets if you want to test how everything works.
3735  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Banned on: September 27, 2022, 05:30:27 PM
Can you help me access Binance?
You can try contacting Binance support with email, and I am sure they will answer you something, but I just can't believe they didn't send you any notification about this.
If you passed kyc verification they will have to explain what happened, maybe they just banned your IP address or they made some country based restrictions.
Try visiting Binance website from different device and other location in your country to see if you can access it.
I think Binance also have customr support on Twitter @BinanceHelpDesk, so you can also try contacting them that way.

PS
Never use any centralized exchange for holding coins.
3736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it dangerous if a phone used for crypto activity get stolen after formatted on: September 27, 2022, 04:19:43 PM
I've always heard from smartphone experts that files aren't always 100% wiped off memory cards, ssd, hdd or other form of memories, if my phone gets stolen for example and I have used my phone to store sensitive information like in PDF format or TXT files that consist of recovery seeds can someone get their hands on these files if the phone was formatted before getting stolen?
Never save recovery seed words in any digital format on any devices, that applies for both phone and for computer, especially if they are connected to internet.
Even if you format hard drive there is a chance of having leftovers, stuff that can be recovered, or someone could steal this data before formating.
It's much safer to use simple paper to write words with pen, or you can use stainless steel metal if you want more protection from elements.

Cheesy

3739  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Open source wallet and closed source wallet discussion on: September 26, 2022, 06:01:58 PM
There should be nothing (serious).to target if everything is stored on the user's device locally. If I remember correctly, they were afraid people would create similar copies of the wallet (same design) and add malicious code to it...which by the way, is something that scammers still do.
Exactly, and they could even turn out to be very shady like Safepal hardware wallet that is closed source but they still used bunch of open source code and they breached original license they used.
Both of this wallets (safepal and trust wallet) are supported by binance exchange, so you can understand why I don't trust both of them with their lame excuses.
I am sure they didn't built anything from scratch, they cloned and forked other code, made few changes and than made it closed source so they could hide all the bugs in code from public.
3740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Help with Nano Ledger S on: September 26, 2022, 03:01:29 PM
I'm curious: it looks like the display itself is faulty, and from what I've seen taking apart calculators as a kid, it looks like the connection is partially loose. I can't think of a way how that can be caused by not using it for a long time.
Who knows what could be the issue...
I know laptops can have issue with display board when some resistors or chips stops working or burn out.
Ledger is using very cheap chinese display, and it's possible contact connections gets loose over time or something related with crystals.
Most problems people reported with wallets not used for a long time was dim screen, I can't explain why but maybe ledger can explain this better.
