2761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Call centres selling fake crypto taken down in Bulgaria, Serbia and Cyprus on: January 16, 2023, 05:18:07 PM
Good news from Europol - some call centres selling fake crypto were taken down.
Even scammers are using hardware wallets to avoid getting scammed by others.
I didn't know call centers like this exist in Europe but I recently heard there are many of them in Ukraine and Russia, and it's not going to be that easy to take them down like in the rest of the Europe.
There is also India, one of the biggest countries in the world and I think they are still number one position for tech support scammers.
I would watch out for all advertisements on social media networks, it's best to stop using them or install uBlockOrigin to hide all ads.
2762  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Unusual issues with Trezor Suite on: January 15, 2023, 10:21:13 PM
But I have noticed something strange working with the Trezor Suite. It doesn't recognize each click of the mouse for some reason. For example, when I enter my PIN code into the software, I often have to click on the numbers 2 or 3 times before Trezor Suite accepts them.
This thing never happened to me so you either have mouse that is not working correctly or your wInd0ws OS drivers for this device went wild.
Not only it never happened to me but I never heard of anyone else (millions of customers) mentioning this issue, so you must be unique case.
Try testing with different mouse, or if you are using laptop you can try with external mouse.
If this is not the case than your OS is probably in crap condition that needs to be reinstalled and replaced Wink

I have found out that it is indeed an issue with my mouse.
I bet it's miCroSofT certified mouse you are using Cheesy

2763  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Exodus wallet, Latest PC version 23.1.12. Bug or issue with my device? on: January 15, 2023, 10:03:58 PM
Could this be a bug or an issue with my device?
Can you confirm that your camera is working fine with other applications, and that latest drivers are installed?
Windows can be very buggy sometimes with external cameras on desktop computers, but I would suggest switching from closed source Exodus to some different wallet.
There are no many good open source desktop wallets, but you can use combination with hardware wallets like Trezor, or try mobile wallet called Unstoppable.money (for multi coins).
Trezor Suite works very good with QR codes and you won't have t worry about most attacks.
2764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it possible to delivered or received goods by keeping the location secret?! on: January 15, 2023, 09:31:14 PM
I don't think it's safe to trade directly by face to face because the seller is know your face, the worst thing he might ask his friend to follow you from behind to know your location and your house. I still think using third party e.g. the expedition is safer since he doesn't have any idea what's inside the package etc.
Yeah if it's not safe for you than stay forever in your bomb shelter and never come out to buy anything because it's dangerous to go outside  Roll Eyes
I didn't say to go and meet with some unknown guy at night in some dark street corner and to bring suitcase full of money and private keys for all your coins.
People who trade p2p already know how to pick crowded public places and bring one or two friends with them.

Can you tell me how alternative name is going to help if they ask you to show your ID, which your name would be different with the alternative name.
Delivery guys don't really care if your ID is real or fake...just sayin.

That's very rare where I live. I'd be more worried about the delivery guy asking if you can open the front door to prove you really live there.
In some countries they do ask for your ID number, but it's just a stupid procedure and they don't care about it if it's real or not.
They won't check your blood and dna to confirm if this is true.
2765  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: January 15, 2023, 09:24:19 PM
Unfortunately we can't remove the monthly fees unless we increase the issuing fee. Monthly fees are taken by the issuing bank to host the card accounts.
You can give your customers the option to select how they want to pay the fees.
Some may prefer monthly fees, and others could choose to pay fees for more months, maybe with some discount.
I think the fees should be lower for digital cards.

Are you interested to get 1 card for yourself or more cards for your company/project?
No company is involved, I just want to get one or two cards for myself.
One would be digital and one physical card when you release it.

If it's OK, I could post the link to it and to Telegram.
Sure it's ok, post it here and you can add the links in your forum profile (and in signature space with ranking up).
2766  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: January 15, 2023, 08:38:32 PM
I watch a lot of NFL football and college basketball passing the time. I also gamble a little on gamdom when I have extra funds. I also play a couple games on my phone to pass the time, but none of that keeps me outta my head. Also, none of it gets me up and moving around. It's nuts to have a person who is capable of walking to lay flat 24/7.
Can you at least change your body positions, and move legs up and down?
Last time I didn't feel so good I had to be in bed for almost a week, and it was not easy to do nothing and it must be 1000 times harder for you, but praying could help you with negative thoughts.
I don't want to compare this with you and I don't know if you can watch movies, but your situation reminds me a lot on old movie called Misery from 1990, with James Caan and Kathy Bates.
I just hope you don't have any nurses to take care of you like it was done in that movie Wink
Hold on buddy, I wish you all the best and I hope to hear you walking soon enough.
2767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Teach me how on: January 15, 2023, 07:43:21 PM
How do you use this forum search engine properly? Occasionally you search for things and the result is not significant and you make a topic on it and you get it's been discussed a few times before, I guess someone needs to teach me how.
One more additional option you can use is searching with Ninjastic website, that is made by member TryNinja.
I found that this method can be much more effective since you can search by specific member/author, custom dates, title, post content, addresses, etc.
Free bonus is that Ninjastic website will even show you archived and deleted/modified posts:

2768  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Godisnji pregled aktivnosti domaceg podforuma on: January 15, 2023, 07:25:36 PM
2769  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Godisnji pregled aktivnosti domaceg podforuma on: January 15, 2023, 06:42:21 PM
2770  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 is a dishonest person and thus my negative feedback on: January 13, 2023, 10:21:09 PM
I don't think it's abuse. Now that it's been properly referenced I don't see any problem with it.
So you are saying we should start giving negative trust feedback to all dishonest members in this forum, or it's only ok to do this for Royse, call him names like ''crybaby'' ,mock him all the time, and talk with his customers/clients?
To me this sounds more like some kind of online stokers behavior, than a grown man who can evaluate who deserves negative trust feedback.
Referenced or not, I said this is my opinion and I criticized them both, asking them to stop with this circus show.
If they continue this path, I will have to ignore both of them in future because I don't enjoy watching Telenovelas.
2771  Economy / Collectibles / Re: A ColdKey Community Opportunity on: January 13, 2023, 10:05:56 PM
Create 1 more coldkey card to rule them all. Can Brand it anything. Key generation a topic for discussion.
I would never again use something that don't have some kind of multisig setup that includes customer/buyer is one element in this setup.

Does anyone know exact amount of coins stolen by Yogg from ColdKeys?
I tried to read several topics but I couldn't find total estimates and number of affected people.
2772  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Halving Sets!! on: January 13, 2023, 10:05:30 PM
ColdKey charity auction for victims of the apparent theft
LINK: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434623.msg61590179#msg61590179
Good idea, but how would you know how to refund coins to people who are affected by this incident?
I guess most people are bitcointalk forum members, but there could also be someone who purchased this Cold keys in some other way.
2773  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: SCAM upozorenja Zbirni topic on: January 13, 2023, 09:48:08 PM
2774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In addition to Bitcoin (BTC) and Satoshi (Sat) I like to propose Nakamoto (Nak) on: January 13, 2023, 09:38:12 PM
There is no need for adding one more Bitcoin unit called Nak when we already have a bunch of them, and in my opinion it can only create more confusion with people.
Even with units we have now I myself have to check conversion data to verify if amount is exact when I am checking values for sats and mBTC.
Maybe in future when Bitcoin value is much larger in fiat terms we could use some better and easier system of units, but until then I think this is enough.
2775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Miss El Salvador cause the Bitcoin price to spike last night? on: January 13, 2023, 09:31:48 PM
Alejandra Guajardo, who represented El Salvador at Miss Universe 71, wore a costume with a Bitcoin theme. El Salvador is known as the first nation to legalize Bitcoin as a form of payment. Did Miss El Salvador cause the Bitcoin price to spike last night? We have gained $1,000 over the last 12 hours.
No, Miss Universe competition never affected price of any assets in the world, including Bitcoin, but it sure did look cool to see her carry Bitcoin symbol.
I know lot of people received new El Salvador residence after they decided to make Bitcoin legal tender, but in reality Bitcoin adoption in that country is not that great.
2776  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live and USDC (TRC20) on: January 13, 2023, 09:11:10 PM
my understanding is that the blockchain does not block it, it is tether that blocks it.   so it does not matter which blockchain it is on.  correct?
People who created Tether can freeze you coins whenever they want, but on other shitcoin chains same thing can be done by CZ on BNB chain, on Tron Justin and his frens can do it, and it's the same for all other centralized blockchains.
It's just a few people who are running nodes and control everything that is happening, similar like you would do on a regular spreadsheet.

One alternative I was talking before is called Stablesats.com, that is based on Lightning Network, or Synthetic Stablecoins Euro and USD backed by Bitcoin that are used in Kollider.xyz:
2777  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: January 13, 2023, 09:04:13 PM
And speaking of magnets, I was wondering if they could damage some of the internal components in the long run [I'm getting mixed results/answers from Google/Youtube and AFAIK, they (Ledger) haven't mentioned what kind of magnets are being used or how strong they are]?
I don't think this magnets are strong enough to damage anything, except maybe the brains of people who blindly trust this ledger propaganda.
Oh it must be great device that was designer by iOS designer and he added that special secure click sound feature Roll Eyes
Another stupid suggestion is that Stax is somehow family friendly device, so you would use this magnets to connect all family wallet, that one of the more stupid things I heard in a while.
2778  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets that work with Smartphones? on: January 13, 2023, 08:40:01 PM
With the proper cable or an adapter into the original cable Ledger Nano S (and S Plus) can also easily get connected to smartphone. Tested/used by me with Android phones.
I've even posted sometime in the past the adapter I'm using (for microUSB, but there also exist such adapted for USB-C too)
Maybe this partially works like you say but I won't add ledger nano S in the list because you can't install or update firmware using only smartphone, this is only possible with desktop computers.
I am only adding hardware wallets that can work standalone only with smartphones.

Trezor can work on a phone via micro USB -> USB-C with trezor suite (web) and mycelium. I'm not sure how good the eth support is but everything else looks like it works (I think I've only used bitcoin with it though).
I will try with microUSB - USB-C adapter, but Trezor doesn't have mobile app yet, and I am not sure Trezor firmware can be updated using mobile devices.
Can you please check and confirm this when you can?

In addition, the Keepkey hardware wallet can open through mycelium using a smartphone using micro USB.
Here's a Youtube video tutorial on that.
I am not a fan of KeepKey wallet but I will consider adding it to my list, maybe in separate category with other devices that use adapters.
I think Keepkey is Trezor fork, so it works similar for Trezor One and Trezor T, but I don't know if other wallet works or only Mycellium.

Just one idea: maybe add one extra column that contains one or more mobile wallets that are confirmed to work with the device.
Reason being that especially when new technologies start to get adopted in hardware wallets like NFC, many wallet apps don't yet have the functionality to make it work.
I will have to ask someone to make columns and table for me later, but only after I collect enough information.

2779  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: January 13, 2023, 07:57:05 PM
Our fees are 6 USD + 3.5% to issue the cards. The payment is made through our own payment gateway and can be done in ~20 stablecoins + SHIB.
To refill the cards, the fees are 3 USD + 3.5%.
Monthly fee is 1.75 USD taken from the card at the end of the month. If the card falls below 1.75 USD balance at that time, it will be deactivated.
Do you support Bitcoin or only stable coins?
Fees are not bad, maybe I would remove monthly fees, but I see now how some recent shady competition is basically stealing money from people.

I'm from the FCF Pay team!
It would help if you could create separate topic in forum for your FCF cards.

The cards are virtual USD cards, similar to prepaid gift cards, but they are tokenizable (they can be added to Apple/Google/Samsung Pay) by using a US/Canada number. Unfortunately, it seems that delivery to online SMS services fails recently. I suggest that you ask a friend in USA/Canada to help you by relaying the SMS validation code. It may take 10-15 minutes to receive the SMS.
Why do I need to enter my physical address with city for virtual cards?
I understand why you need phone numbers for SMS verification, but I would consider adding some alternative way of confirmation.

One more question, what exactly are this fees that shows up during card creation?

We can also offer physical cards companies/projects. For individuals we will start offering the physical cards in about 2 weeks.
I am interested for this cards.
I can't find information about your telegram chat, and it's better if you write in forum when you release physical cards, with more information how to order them.
2780  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it possible to delivered or received goods by keeping the location secret?! on: January 13, 2023, 07:39:52 PM
I went to the goods board and saw that many physical things are being sold, and hardware is also being sold. And then the desire arises in my mind to buy some of them. But I am thinking about the location  Now my question is it possible to make delivery by the third party keeping my location invisible to them.
It's much easier if goods are located in the same country you live, because you can complete transaction in person face-to-face.
Delivery to other countries can be more complicated but you can still use PO Boxes, or use alternative names and delivery address to receive package.
However, you can't expect to have 100% anonymity when you are buying and selling stuff online.
