Good article, I've got an old 401k I should try a self directed IRA with.

I'll be excited if it gets back over $100. $1000 is years away if ever.

After 10 years of watching the #Bitcoin bubble inflate, at $10,000 per coin he thinks now's the time to urge his listeners to buy. This is how manias end. Greed overwhelms reason as people once too sensible to buy join the party just as it's ending." Peter is going to have it rough the next few years as we soar to 100k and beyond. Anyone who thinks Alex Jones is one of the "people once too sensible" is safely worth putting on lifetime ignore. Anyone with low reading comprehension skills who makes erroneous attributions is safely worth putting on lifetime ignore as well. Wasn't talking about you, was talking about Peter Schiff. I think we are on the same page with him.

FC Barcelona Dives Into Crypto, Partnering With Chiliz to Create TokenSpanish soccer powerhouse FC Barcelona, or Barca, has teamed up with fintech platform Chiliz to create a blockchain-based token for the sports franchise.
As part of the partnership with FC Barcelona, Chiliz created Barca Fan Tokens (BAR) for use on its social mobile app called Socios, according to a press release shared with Cointelegraph. https://cointelegraph.com/news/fc-barcelona-dives-into-crypto-partnering-with-chiliz-to-create-tokenIt is not my favorite sport, but this is fine, more noise, more people for cryptography and, by default, Bitcoin. Seems gimmicky with a shelf life perhaps on the same time frame as a mayfly but yes I agree more publicity for Bitcoin by default.

Based on the numbers from the article he did all this when bitcoin was $877 USD, looks like the feds are poking through years old data. I always find it interesting that some crimes get no bail while often murderers do get bail, never quite understood that though I'm sure there are decent reasons, flight risk and all... https://cointelegraph.com/news/coin-ninja-ceo-arrested-for-laundering-311m-with-bitcoin-privacy-toolsAccording to an arrest warrant filed earlier this month, Harmon allegedly laundered over 354,468 Bitcoins (BTC) (worth $311 million at the time of the transactions), allowing the users of a privacy tool named Helix, and a darknet search engine named Grams, to make transactions on AlphaBay, a known dark market that was shut down in 2017.

That's why I am not going to buy a lambo. Although theoretically I already can buy one almost new 8K km 2019 huracan right now. I prefer a beach villa for this price. Yeah in all seriousness I won’t be buying Lambo’s. Imagine how much a car like that depreciates in value over 2-3 years. Yes I know our bitcoin’s will be worth more (presumably) as time goes on but money is money. I don’t like losing money! I’ll just take a standard Range Rover or something & a huge house I think some of the luxury cars do not depreciate that much and even (I have heard) you can make an insta-winning deal buying second hand (almost new) from places like Dubai, etc. Anyway, I would not consider buying a $200.000+ car unless my net worth would be a solid over 10-100+ times that amount. And even then... I probably would have much better things to do with my "surplus" money. I will never buy a boat/yatch ever either... I wouldn't like one even if "free"... Maybe I would buy a good Jet Ski though, but that's very cheap in comparison... and way more fun. When I think about it, the main thing I want money for (beyond basic expenses, of course) is RE. There's no limit on how much "luxury" I would allow myself to "spend" on that if the money were not a restriction. Anyway, first priority would be to be set for life on basic expenses and sleep well at night. Then we can start talking about luxury spending/purchases/investments. You all are thinking way too small. This is what the properly outfitted gentleman bitcoinaire needs...

Bitcoin is like a gateway drug, and like real drugs there will be some users that stay with it, dip their toes in some other coins in a moderate way, go full fledged heroin junkie addict with the tons of shitcoins that promise the best high ever, or leave to never try any every again.
So yeah, BTC being top doesn't mean there isn't a robust market for the others. There's room for the boom.

Powell: Northern European economies have moved away from cash to a remarkable degree, more so than the U.S. Powell said many questions need to be answered before adopting digital currencies in the U.S., including cybersecurity. This is dystopian future he's depicting. once again is not cybersecurity what they fear, but the lack of control. Not because it's right, but because they can. Yes I agree. I think the gov't folks will continue to hammer as long as they can on the false narrative of crypto being a haven of criminals. I don't share your optimism that they can't stop it, maybe technically they can't really but they sure can make it hard enough for the average person in their jurisdiction to use that the difference between being banned and heavily regulated will make no practical difference. I don't think that overly pessimistic view will happen either though as so many of the moneyed class in power are already heavily involved in crypto. I suspect the end game is that all the old fogeys will hold onto their beliefs until they are replaced by new blood that has already embraced the technology and figured out ways to maintain or increase control while enjoying the benefits.

The Jesus Rolls (Big Lebowski Spinoff) - Official Trailer (2020) John Turturro, Christopher Walken https://youtu.be/3_qcgXw32gc Talk about absent dude Seen it. Boy, is it bad. For some reason he glued Jesus into a remake of Les Valseuses. There's the odd moment but it doesn't half jerk to sudden halts and disappear off down dead ends. He's better left a perfectly formed memory. They should've known not to mess with the Jesus.

Obviously the number isn't news here but I wonder if the portion I quoted below is really what's happening, a spark that creates unstoppable inertia... https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-is-back-above-10kBTC started rising during the market sell off triggered by coronavirus. That was just the short-term catalyst, the underlying driver is the bitcoin halving event in May. Previous halving events have seen some of the larger participants hold off on releasing BTC into the market in anticipation of a rise into the event. We believe this same dynamic is currently in play.

~ I don't know which price that we can say it is a bull run because we all always hope bitcoin price should go increase time by time. As have stated above me, bitcoin price had increased form its lower price but we have another expectation for bitcoin price goes up more than that. Actually, the people who have bought bitcoin at $3500 they will benefited right know because just in a few weeks they have got at least $5500, did you ever find in another place investment? The people should remember it.
I guess having a bull run depends on that person who says it. For me, it might be starting but basically in my own perception the bull run will start when I see it more than 13-15k$ WHY? I just started in late 2017 in crypto so basically, I started in the industry where the market is about to boom. I hope that you get my point on that. Basically, every day would be a good day to buy crypto whether btc or any other coins but it is on how you position yourself and as I said, perfect timing is needed. Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) alleviates those worries about trying to time the market. You can see over the long term that BTC has consistently gone up. A weekly or monthly buy from late 2017 to now would have you looking pretty good even if your first buy was at the historic high.

I know guys that the price action is good, and everybody likes green dildo's (#nohomo), but Jay "do nothing" Powell is testifying at the House , and he's saying a lot of intresting things.
https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/yields-rise-after-powell-says-economy-is-resilient-2020-02-11"Powell's remarks had nothing new and toed the party line," said Jon Hill, U.S. rates strategist at BMO Capital Markets. "Rates are in accommodative territory. They're on hold for the foreseeable future."

Haha, this is awesome! Not only because I read that quote and heard Shatner's voice while I did it but that a senior citizen celebrity seems to actually be somewhat educated about bitcoin... https://cointelegraph.com/news/william-shatner-doubts-craig-wrights-claims-to-inventing-bitcoin“Why can’t he prove it? From what I’ve read is that some mysterious bonded courier would deliver the keys (which honestly is a scene right out of Back to the Future.) If he is, he should be able to prove it. This is like the modern day search for Anastasia.”
