"3 machines have been in Chinese home, Qipai price is 120BTC , 7 days ,Beijing time"

That is what the op says. My bid of 40BTC remains for one.

it has 80 chips per board?
How many of them "look burned"?
This is what you are selling right?

10.000BTC just left the initial address that was paid in to by all group buyers. Saw in avalon news thread.
Movement. Good or bad, or means nothing?

I was just looking over Avalon's "The no bullshit, no fine print terms of sale" again in an effort to determine specifically which terms were breached.

9 to 10 weeks lead time.
Lead time does not mean shipping time, that's production time that doesn't include testing and shipping time.  And there are no refunds for chips, that's what we agreed to, so get used to it.

Avalon still has a refund ticketing system. So try and get used to that.

That 48k number keeps getting thrown around, but I'm fairly certain that much of that is reinvested into board parts, assembly, staffing, etc. He specifically mentioned batch 1 assembly will be produced at a loss. Yes, we paid a premium for Steamboat's reliability and expertise, but the holdup is at Yifu. Yes, another update would be nice, but if the past in any indication of the present, Steamboat is probably tying up loose ends for assembly and trying to contact Yifu.

Stop being ridiculous. You know what you have with Steamboat, you don't need an obligatory "i'm alive" post. I paid the premium because I didn't want to have to worry about the group buy organizer, a la Ragin.

You cannot be serious. Just because we chose a group buy organizer who does hosting for his clients, we shall all be ok with "he's busy".
It was his choice to invest in hosting and hardware, we cannot be taking additional risk just because some of us joined the group buy he arranged?
Remember, it was really fast call for those who wanted to get hosting+boards, then it was a matter of days to get on board.. And now, we are treated with dead silence.
He took his risk to invest in hardware, based on returns on electricity and share of the mining. The least he can do is hire a support agent from india for $500/m to at least answer emails.
Excuses for others, are feeble, at best.
Dude there is nothing steamboat can say that will make u happy, he has answered all our questions and gave us the answers to everything and stated we would be the first to know any new news.  Shut up and deal with it, you should have known what you got into.  Your repetitive complaints make you look like an idiot.  Go auction off your chips, I'm sure someone else will be happy and understandable if you write out a no bullshit terms of sale.  You guys act like impatient little kids,  be patient.  Its one of those things you should have learned as a child.
Lol.
Updating a thread takes less than a minute.. Even if it is little to no updates..
But jeah, what do one get for $50K these days.
Did you as a kid ever get left without food for an entire day? did you get cranky?
I am sure we are all allowed with our different opinions in terms of what we can expect as service in a group buy.
Its clear that you are more than happy.
Some people are not. I wont say shut up. but i can say deal with it.

I saw your dream calculation by the way, if the difficulty was 175 now, and increase of 20 a month ongoing after.. What in the world would make the increase THAT low? increase last time was 13, in 11 days. You won't roi on these..

I think it lies SQUARELY on YiFu, but yeah a little update like: "I called YiFu 10 times today. No answer." Would be ok.

If steamboat hadn't been regularly updating us the entire life of these group buys, I might agree with you.  But if the situation stays EXACTLY the same, then a weekly update suffices IMHO.

However, if the chips are stuck in customs and avalon is doing nothing about it? thats what outher groupbuys has found out and they are setting up meetings with customs agents for it.. He should still wait?
389  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: August 15, 2013, 01:21:40 PM
Absolutely right he should be frustrated but end of the day he has some control over how frustrated his customers are - he can ease our minds and spend some time informing us of his progress. It is a sad day when BFL actually looks the pinnacle of bitcoin customer service because they post daily updates to how many units they have shipped.

Well, at least Steamboat is not berating and insulting his customers, right?  I mean, right?

I would take berating and insulting over no information Wink

Well that makes one of us.  Steamboat's last update was 8/10 when news came out from Yifu.  As of now there is nothing new to report.  What the hell do you want Steamboat to say?  "Everything is still exactly the same"?

I'd the hell like him to update us with what he trying to do to allocate our chips and compensation?
What would you suggest he do for us for the 6x70BTC we paid him? Wait?
390  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: August 15, 2013, 11:53:41 AM
It's starting to concern me more each and every day how steamboat just doesn't answer questions and proposals in this topic. Like he's gone from the face of the earth.

He also doesn't reply to emails and personal messages anymore, while his profile says he's online every day.

I invested my money with him, so him going silent worries me most.

Imagine there are hundreds like u, what do u think he can say ? he's waiting for the damn chips ... leave the man alone...

What should he do?? Waste money on a lawyer?? Not just yet.............................. Roll Eyes

Waste three minutes daily, on his 6x770BTC (where 6x70BTC is his) partners/clients who invested in his groupbuys & update the OP?
How hard is it toget through your thick heads that steamboat is waiting on chips and is ready when they arrive?  There is nothing to update.  Be patient, steamboat will update us when there is news or when it is worth updating us.  I don't believe he should have to give a daily update until chips arrive.  Nothing has changed, and honestly, we'll hear about chips arriving at the other previous group buys before steamboats and before he even updates us.  Take your concerns to Yifu, he is the inept irresponsible peace of shit who should be doing the reassuring, not steamboat.  If you haven't already noticed he always updates us in due time.

Your insults are not very much appreciated. But then again, it could be easy for you who have invested $20 in to this groupbuy.
Keep your views for yourself. None of the groupbuyers have done this work for peanuts.
If its stuck at customs, he might need to pull some strings to find out himself as it can be stuck for a long time as with other past groupbuys. Simple.
Go troll somewhere else please.
Waiting helps nothing.

394  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: August 15, 2013, 05:59:57 AM
Small claims court petition is being prepared. I'll keep you informed.  Roll Eyes

Against who ?! I hope Yifu and not Steamboat...

This would be my answer to the complaint:

1.  No fiduciary relationship with plaintiff.

Then, it would end -- because group buy members have no contract with Yifu..

please read the no bullshit terms. its enough..
395  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Credit Cards, secured payments and what you as buyers should be looking for... on: August 14, 2013, 10:45:54 PM
Can peeps help advise w.r.t. US law? How is that affected state to state? I will update above with any succinct relevant material as and when it's shared below. Thanks! Cheesy

Take note, swedish regulations differ B2C And B2B rights. If we as clients purchase a complete miner, its b2c. But if we only buy chips, its B2B company to company have different set of rules.
KonsumentVerket = The consumer Agency. Which only regulates the end client.

However if you have paid by card within the UK (and EU) at least;

Business to business sales, are consumer rights applicable?!

In short, yes, unless the company you are dealing with has specifically underwritten terms in their Terms and Conditions negating aspects of your consumer rights. This is known as an exclusion clause, and is yet another reason why Terms and Conditions should always be read and thoroughly discussed in your respective thread.

How do you know if the contract (business to business) takes away your statutory rights?

If the person who sold you the goods or services has taken away your statutory rights, there should be something in your contract about this. For example, it might say  the seller isn't responsible for goods that are unsatisfactory, don't match their description or aren't fit for purpose. Or it might say that the seller isn't responsible for any loss you've suffered because of their lack of care or skill. This type of content in a contract is called an exclusion clause.

http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/consumer_e/consumer_problems_with_business_to_business_services_e/consumer_protection_for_businesses.htm

This could be, but sweden has its own protection for the swedish consumers, to protect them. And it mostly only covers b2c inside sweden from what i know.

From UK's http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/consumer_e/consumer_problems_with_business_to_business_services_e/consumer_protection_for_businesses.htm

Quote
If you're running a business, you may make contracts with other businesses to buy their goods or services. But as a business, you may not have the same rights and protection as an ordinary consumer.

Your rights will depend almost completely on what's in your contract.

So, in short, NO, a business does NOT have the same rights as a consumer. Don't go assuming this, AT ALL. Read the fine print, that's where the "interesting" stuff is hidden.

International sales between businesses are even worse (think lawsuit in a foreign country, as the applicable law is usually the one of the seller). Consumer sales within the EU are regulated though, so, if you want maximum protection, you need to buy as a consumer, not a business.

KS either you haven't read what I wrote, or you are repeating it.

It comes down to whether, or what 'exclusion clauses' exist in a vendor's T&C's that may affect your statutory consumer rights, otherwise they exist in the same capacity (in the UK).

but if its Sweden and you buy as a consumer, they can't exclude you of any rights.. so for sure, kncminer could be beneficial to buy as private person.
