Dumping the 2m DERO premine is the last thing I'm worried about as there isn't anywhere close to enough liquidity - daily trading volume is less than 5 BTC.
In fact, the current liquidity is insufficient to sell even 1% of the premine (20k DERO) without taking more than 2 weeks or else accepting an average price of at least 50% down from the current bid to get sufficient depth in the order book.
So, I see the premine being unlocked as a bit of a red herring.
The one issue I do worry about is that currently the dev(s) are anonymous and the source is closed - basically, you can have one or the other in crypto, but not both - however the source is (supposedly) being released to any CryptoNote devs on July 20th, and more publicly a few weeks from now. This is a change in plans from the previous estimate of only releasing the source after a foundation was set up, so CaptDero seems to be responding to community pressure.
The premine remaining unlocked isn't a red herring. When you say its locked and its not thats bad. When you say it'll be locked till x date and you're trying to dip into it prior to that it doesn't look good. Even if its for marketing and not his personal gain. There is absolutely zero excuse for that premine not being locked right now. He needs to start listening to others instead of astroturfing the ANN thread an purging anyone who doesn't just go along to get along. Creating a hand selected community committee is just another form of astroturfing. Its to appease the community an give the illusion that their voices matter when it clearly doesn't. Much like anytime someone brings up complaints in this ANN thread in come brand new accounts praising Dero an Captain trying to drown out any criticism. That isn't an effective long term strat as most people can see right through it. I agree with you in principle but not in practice; do you understand the difference? Yes, it is totally wrong to unlock a previously locked premine, but with a daily trading volume in the range of 20-30k DERO you couldn't sell more than about 2k DERO per day without causing price to drop into the gutter. Ergo, this not nearly as troubling to me as the combo of anonymous dev(s) and unreleased source code. As for DCAB being just a way to co-opt enemies, if you had actually bothered to read all of my posts rather than cherry-pick phrases - not even entire sentences - to respond to you might have noticed that this very thing had already occurred to me. Consequently, I seem to be playing the role of the Loyal Opposition on DCAB, to use a parliamentary turn of phrase, and I have even been somewhat successful at it. |

I'm really not interested in the mud-slinging and he said/she said bullshit, but I do have one pertinent question: did you and/or Serena dump your DERO before publishing that article on Medium? Bro the price dumped when Atlantis went from a custom anti asic algo to asic friendly one from 3 second block times to 9 second block times to 12 second block times from 500 tps to 75 tps avg 50 tps. To blame the price dump on them is ridiculous. It went from 79c-83c to 40c for a few minutes back up to 60-70c. This recent drama has barely affected the price. The damage was done when the community was lied to for months, over hyped, under delivered, had a bunch of people working on testnet preparing for a cpu minable dero network when they knew they had no intentions of moving from cryptonight asics. Its also obvious sock puppet cheerleader accounts are being used to gas light the community while Captn repeatedly ignores criticism and responds with vague answer to virtually every question he even bothers to acknowledge. I wasn't blaming anyone for anything, rather, I was asking if Mojo and/or Serena waited until after they published that Medium article before selling. Not that I expected a truthful answer, I just wanted to make sure the point was raised. That said, it is possible to disapprove of both what CaptDero and these two have done; there is no mutual exclusion here. The way I see things, there's plenty of bad behavior to go around, but while CaptDero has been arrogant ("I don't need to show no stinkin' code, nor reveal myself, nor make any promises or keep the ones I did make, etc."), Serena and Mojo have been malicious... Personally, I find malice far less forgivable. |

SERENA and MOJO are the first scammers. i was banned from telegram and discord for asking normal question about u without reason. and what about mojo... before it banned me it told me that the price for him is not important (fuck him is not the owner). he told me also that he would do anything to destroy the project if he went out. As may be inferred from @maomao here, previous bans are being reviewed for reversal, so anyone else that was banned from Slack or Discord or Telegram by Mojo and/or Serena that wants it review send me a PM here and I'll forward it on to the new moderators. Basically, you shouldn't have been banned for asking questions or disagreeing with others - even being somewhat rude; only obvious trolling or breaking hard rules should result in banning. |

A thread on my watchlist popped-up with a new post, but the post was from someone I had put on ignore, which I found a bit annoying. Nothing worth breaking out the pitchforks and Molotov cocktails, mind you, but it is illogical for someone you want to ignore to still be able to get your attention, albeit indirectly.

What Dero devs accomplished so far was a really hard task done very quickly and it seems with rather few bugs they needed to patch. It tells you they are very talented and hard working. There are very few developers in the whole crypto space who can be compared to them. They must have their reasons for the secrecy surrounding the project and we should respect this.
Since the source code hasn't actually been released - and now there is some question as to whether "experienced cryptographers" were even allowed to look at it in private - we don't really know what the "devs" have accomplished (put in quotes because I'm not convinced there is more than one). Frankly, all I can see is a drop in price from $1.70US to <$0.70US ever since the Atlantis announcement on June 23rd; everything else is hearsay. Whether their reasons for secrecy are legit isn't the question, it's whether their reasons for lying are legit. So far the community, in the form of the market*, calls bullshit on their antics. * - something devs ought to always keep in mind; once your coin is mineable and tradeable you need to behave more like a public company with shareholders, than a private fiefdom with serfs. |

I'm with you on that. We need a fork QUICK!!! The current network hash rate is approximately 74.5 MH/s. It was up to 95 MH/s earlier. This is PAINFUL indeed. I have 60 x NVIDIA 1080 TI. Half of which are EVGA 1080 Ti KingPins. All of my NVIDIA's are EVGA. They've seen much brighter days. This is depressing indeed..... The increase in hashrate here is nothing compared to what DERO, a cryptonight coin, experienced after the introduction of CN ASICs - it went from 4-6MH/s to as high as 2000MH/s... yes, a ~500x increase. Now it's running at closer to 200MH/s, mainly because of some massively bad decisions on the part of the devs* and because both SUMO and ETN forked back to ASIC-friendly CNv0. * - namely, they lied about forking to block ASICs and when source code would be released, alienating all but a handful of their long time supporters. |
