Non cryptographers should not Develop CryptoCoins, all they end up with are broken virtual tokens ,alot of wasted time/effort and unfulfilled dreams.
Well...For your information until a few months ago we had a cryptographer as a core developer but unfortunately family problems that arose for him made it impossible for him to continue with the project..so we will get a new one, that's why a member of our community started a business to fund the project so we can hire more devs, so thanks for your opinion take care |

Reading his expressions, he wishes he had been paid enough to develop full time ongoing, but donations dried up so now he tries to convince himself that working on as a hobby is better than getting paid. He obviously needs to be paid as he has taken another job for the past 7 months. He even mentions Bitcoin is much better funded.
I view this as the way coins die due to lack of sustained funding and focus.
Good observation very true thats why as of recently I give a large % of my weekly wage towards development also another member of community has started a company and part of that companies profit return will go towards paying our team to work full time, this guy is very business savvy your points are very valid and true, but we have recently taken the steps to rectify these issues. I will admit when I got into crypto I had $$$ signs in my eyes, but Shadow's vision has really inspired me to look at the bigger picture beyond profit, the satoshi vision is alive in project shadow we are not about money, the shadow project is more then a project it is a movement. |

When satoshi made Bitcoin I'm fairly sure he built it out of passion not to line the pockets of speculators, he made BTC not to make money but because he believed the world needed it. Wasnt an interview coming out yesterday?  Actually everybody's waiting for Aphrodite, not the interview. But part of that was posted in a small video. see decentralize.todayAphrodite could be years away at SDC pace - so the interview is what Im waiting for. Shadowcash has delivered more photoshop market videos - and less actual working product - than any other project Ive ever seen. Ever. I was one of the first investors. They issue roadmaps, change them and arrogantly mock anyone who requests an answer to the delays. This coin has never once been pumped. Hopefully soon though... It will be a monumental moment to see the Dev talk about his project on camera. "photoshop market video" there was no photoshop and you should dump you really should we don't want any non believers around here. In the first 12 months of Shadow development the team dropped so many releases it was blowing minds rhyno even got voted dev of the year then for the last almost 12 months thay have been working on a market the team does not get paid they survive on donations OB had a lot of funding and it still took them over 12 months to build the market lol with a team 3 or 4x the size of shadows and in the end our markets design is and will be better so it's pretty reasonable imo your a joke mate the pace of sdc devs who are you? i never even see you comment here before, no donations no nothing if it's photoshop dump your shit and move on. |

Hi verb, We've been delaying Aphrodite for some time because we're heavily working on the chat part. We've all been under the impression that the chat has been an underused and underrated function of our software. Some told us that the chat window was a bit uneasy to work with, the selecting a conversation partner was hard, no groupchat.. etc all these tiny things that made it hard and impractical to use basically. That's why crz has been working his ass of the past week, I can't count the days no more that I've ended up at 2 AM and he's still online, coding. Then waking up and seeing he's online before me  We're seriously improving the chat experience for the better, we're hoping to make ShadowChat the "slack" for all communications of the community. I've done some more work on the groupchat and ironed out a bug yesterday  crz is giving it a sweet facelift, I've seen some sneak peaks and you can take my word for it, it is looking sexy as always. I think many people will be surprised with what's coming. I know we've been delaying a lot, and nobody likes it. But we'd rather deliver something which we have faith in, than a half ass working GUI with loads of styling errors. That sounds great! more excited now  |

Well that is quite impressive. Is there any other method of doing anonymous transactions currently? (Whether its a service on top of bitcoin or another cryptocoin which implements an anonymous feature) There are a number of other altcoins that have a strong focus on anonymity but the anonymity there is either not optional (its anonymous by nature) or they have totally different (and therefore uncompatible with Bitcoin) blockchains like for example Cryptonote altcoins. Basicly its about giving options to users. Every coin creates insiders and outsiders the minute it is born. Every coin will also tend to skewed distribution as some people have more money/power/material to invest, or are at the right place at the right time. If I can buy more CPUs/GPUs/ASICs than you, or my elecricity is cheaper, I will have more coins. If I am more interested in the technology than person B, I will buy more coins/educate myself better at the start en when the technology becomes popular I will have a headstart. Also nothing wrong with wanting to be an early adopter for financial gains, you take more risk to hopefully get a bigger reward.
So the ICO point is kind of moot imo.
At least then those computers will do work to generate tokens, showing that effort was expended to create them. You can then choose to dump them on the open free market or keep them. But you had to do the same work everyone else did. An ICO opens up all kinds of potential exploits for devs, like buying their own tokens to control the supply and inflate market cap.... on top of not allowing a project to grow organically. As I have always said, if your project is truly world changing then you won't need an ICO - just being around as an early adopter will be enough to make your time investment worthwhile. But if you plan to cash out at a later point, an ICO makes far more sense.
