Staking will be fixed one day. The current plan that everyone seems to be happy with is moving to the Ethereum 2.0 code base (which doesn't exist yet). It's a 100% Proof-of-Stake model. That means there is only about 6 to 12 months of Proof-of-Work mining left. The Ethereum 2.0 code name "Casper" development is coming along quickly and anyone who wants to see their thoughts can check out their public transparent hangouts: https://youtu.be/1psYnHtjooIWho is the developer who is going to do that with hempcoin? I will. If anyone want to help out we will need a new blockexplorer and other things like a PoS mining pool that will work with Ethereum 2.0. |

latest update via Slack The DAO Token Sale has not been announced yet. We are still testing the DAO smart contracts. There's no ETA besides 'soon,' but members of the Slack will be the first to know. Stay tuned. :-)
This is brand new technology. Making a mistake with a smart contract could break the DAO forever. You want to get this right and have it as a working DAO for a long time. Then there is also the guy from $AMP who claims Ethereum 1.0 (The current PoW version of ethereum) doesn't scale. He says Ethereum 1.0 smart contracts won't be very forward compatible with Ethereum 2.0 PoS mining. If this is true then slock.it might be more than 6 months away from raising funds. I think they are going to take their chances with Ethereum 1.0 though. They will probably be ready in a month. |

Also do not forget, if I'm not mistaken, that it is the only unmoderated thread from all weedcoins. So you can easily spread FUD here and your post won't be deleted!  This is correct . From day 1 we've been unmoderated. It's also the only weed coin with people still talking on the forum. |

Dor, when do you expect the Synereo application to go live? We're looking good on all developmental fronts. However, there's one unknown, which is our reliance on the Omni protocol for doing AMP transactions (and particularly micro-transactions). The Omni stack is a bit shaky and we're having a hard time with it, so it's hard to estimate progress. Once we have a good solution for this, it'll be much easier to provide a hard date. That's good to hear. I don't use Facebook or any other centralized social media, but I'm looking forward to using Synereo. Are you going to use a stepping stone blockchain solution for AMPs to bridge the gap between the Omnilayer and the completion and rollout of Casper PoS? OMNI will most likely be thrown in the trash in favor of an Ethereum token. I would assume you could lock tokens away in Ethereum smart contracts that can be accessed with the same private keys as the OMNI/bitcoin tokens. They don't really know what they are doing yet. I would rather see them start their own/clone the Ethereum PoS Capser blockchain. Being an Ethereum token on the $ETH powered blockchain might mean users need $ETH to pay for transaction fees. Since $AMP is requiring users to run their own Synereo node it probably wouldn't be any more trouble to include an Ethereum clone inside the package. |

I bought some. This coin looks alright. Air drops are my favorite new thing. I don't mine coins anymore so I think the short term PoW mining coins that switch to PoS are stupid. Just 100% premine and air drop the coins. Then we can all just get free coin. What a sweet deal!

Just another short term PoW coin. Mine a bunch. Pump the price and bit. Dump coins for a decent profit before other miners. Bye bye coin.
Any serious dev wouldn't give away all the coins to a few miners if they actually had long term plans for this coin. This coin won't make it past yobits.
