so the final user/investor can choose how to take token on waves or ethereum wallet...that will be nice

Switching via BlockSwap is in any case very straightforward. If it's just on Waves, it's very little trouble to swap half to Ethereum.

Actually it might be worth getting a divorce now before the price gets any higher!
Could end up giving away more in the future  Wink

I can't think of anything more self-destructive.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 25, 2017, 11:16:07 AM

We clearly have had different experiences of marriage.
How old are you and how old is your wife?

This is relevant, no need to look for excuses to get defensive.

Not defensive. Just aware this is very off-topic and supposed to be getting something constructive done. Unwilling to open a can of worms that - like bitcoin - is likely to be pre-settled in a person's mind rather than liable to be changed by discussion (or, as it happens, evidence - there's plenty of academic studies on it).
Since you asked, I'm in my late 30s and she's 3.5 years older than me.
Ok so she's too old to realistically leave and find someone else, and you likely got married before divorce court became what it is now. That's why you are happy to defend marriage. Your wife is TOO OLD for you to worry about her splitting with your shit.

For the rest of us, it doesn't take an academic study to figure out that getting married today is about the most self-destructive thing a man could do.

So, you're not making too many assumptions there then!

If you are married, there is a transferable capital gains tax allowance. So if your wife doesn't book any capital gains, that's £22k tax free.
It's one of the only tax benefits of being married.
There are other benefits of course. Just not related to the tax system.

What are the other benefits??

Thanks.

Rjclarke2000= married man.

Not going to get into that whole discussion here. Hopefully if you're happily married and have been together for a while you have figured it out for yourself.
That's because it is a discussion you know you would lose.

We clearly have had different experiences of marriage.

it's going so fast. Ho many % in one month ?
Over 100% !!

On a side note, anyone know somewhere in the UK that accepts BTC for a nice car?

Congratulations - enjoy the well earned BTC =)

If it's more than £11K watch out for CGT, who knows what data from kyc/aml is passed to HMRC behind the scenes. Probably better to hold 20% for a year in reserve just in case.
Thanks for the heads up.
Makes buying a Nice car less fun :-(

Incent is a Waves token, so your Incent address is your Waves address.
It may be an issue with OpenLedger - try support for that?

Thanks, that is what I thought too. Will try that.

Actually it says "Please enter a valid INCNT address" (in red), I suppose this message comes up always just to make sure you get it right. So I was probably mistaken, when thinking my address is wrong.

So did the withdrawal go through ok? Waves wallet is good software, you can hold it safely and trade it there too if you want.

Hi,

wanted to transfer some INCT from openledger to my WAVESLITE client and thought I should use the Waves address for that, but openledger complains, that this is not an INCT address.

So stupid question: where do I find my INCT address inside the waves lite client?

Incent is a Waves token, so your Incent address is your Waves address.

It amuses me when maximalists confuse an 'ought' (or 'can') with an 'is'. The reality is that businesses troll traders are obliviously just getting on and using non-bitcoin blockchains (= alts shitcoins) for all kinds of things fleecing newbs out of their $$$ without any regard to those arguments.

FTFY

That's happening too. But it's probably incidental. There's an obvious market need for small transactions that Bitcoin has become incapable of filling. Alts are here to stay.

99.7% bitcoin troll trading, FOMO buying as a store of value, or currently spamming the network
0.3% or less people trying to buy a coffee or some other real world transaction (like buying drugs, gambling, etc.)

And I'm being generous, the real ratio is probably way worse than this. So the farcical arguments really need to stop.

Well, I ordered four things for BTC in the last week. The Cryptosteel and SD card were both complicated by delayed txs. At this point, PayPal would be more convenient, which is not cool.

Plenty of those. But plenty of innovation and legit businesses too. Argue with the market if you want!

Bitcoin is battle-tested. No other coin even comes close to the security Bitcoin provides. The problems Bitcoin is currently facing would be just the same for any other coin. Bitcoin's slow (and cautious) progress is a feature, not a bug. The current financial system cannot, and should not, be replaced quickly. And ultimately, anything that most alts can do, will be possible on the Bitcoin blockchain via Lightning, Rootstock, Sidechains, etc.

I wish no bad luck on anyone, but I worry that those people throwing money at alt coins are going to get burned hard. As the incentive to attack those chains increases, you can be sure that people are going to start trying.

Can I just transfer Incent Token from Bittrex to my Waves Wallet?

Yes, you can send it to the Waves address of your wallet. All tokens are stored in that address.

You'll need some Waves to transfer Incent out of the Waves wallet again. You can get some free Waves from this faucet: https://wavesdrop.com/
Thx. Is anywhere a list, which coin/token I can keep in my Waves Wallet?

How do you mean?
The Waves wallet supports Waves assets. You can also store BTC and fiat currencies there (coming very soon), via gateway services which hold your BTC/USD etc and send you proxy tokens on Waves. You can then trade against those on DEX and withdraw them back through the gateways.
Okay, is there anywhere a list with all the Waves assets?
Does that mean, I can transfer my BTC from Electrum wallet to my waves wallet and then to an exchange?

No, if you store BTC on Waves then it's as a Waves asset (WBTC). An exchange will want real BTC. You can move the WBTC out to an exchange via the Waves BTC gateway, if you want.
Don't know whether there's a full list of Waves assets anywhere. People keep creating them all the time, so it's a bit hard to keep up to date. You can probably find a list of useful assets somewhere.

What's the roadmap for Incent?

I would guess that integration into mainstream POS and Online commerce software would be a high priority?
Still integration of customer #1 as a first milestone. Then, we'd like to integrate with a few more merchants before creating an additional distribution channel in the form of plug-ins for Magento and Shopify. In parallel, we are planning to continue work on our ICO technology.

Thanks for that.  Smiley

It would be great if you could do an intermediate dev wiki alongside the plugins - there is a lot of beginner stuff, excellent Waves support for seasoned devs, but not much for the intermediate level for devs in other fields to quickly get up to speed. Of course this is not specific to Incent!

We're also doing some documentation for the API - we want to make everything as clear as possible so anyone can just plug in and use Incent. Will keep you posted!

I spent a few minutes to read and I need some remarks before investing in this ICO. So, can anyone give me some advice? Plz!

You should probably read a few more minutes. You'll find at least one very important piece of information that will inform your investment decision.

Buywall and burn seems like the smartest way to keep everyone happy. Those who want to get out can do so, those who think the extra investment is going to help can stay. No one gets saddled with the result they don't want.

I really don't buy into the idea of buy back it looks shady to me and the price manipulation can occur also are developers going to burn the right proportion of investors token burnt in their own quota, I believe this is no, the team is just putting investors in dillema. The ICO should have been closed when the fund hit $3 million but decided to extend it for 24hours.

This makes no sense. This is the best outcome by far. It's all transparent and it keeps (almost) everyone happy, whether they think the extra funding is a good idea and want to stay in or think it's not and want to exit. There's no dilemma, it's a simple and elegant solution that fits everyone.
