381  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think of gold price in long term? on: April 22, 2023, 08:46:14 PM
When considering the long-term performance of every asset or investment. I believe the best way to make a good decision is to research deeply about the asset relevant eschelon in the next few years and its use case.
Apart from Gold being a valuable asset and one of the most reputable. It is also the same material used in electricity and gadget for energy transmission. Therefore, long-term investment in gold is a good decision.
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: after listening to manupulation, i think in this way on: April 22, 2023, 08:05:44 PM
The market capitalization of the market is what determines manipulation and you cant use the institution's way of investment to term your prediction because they mainly invest in the market for the long term so there's no need for prediction when the investment decision is for the long-term the only thing you need to make sure is that you're not buying at the ATH price.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is going down day after day right now on: April 22, 2023, 07:46:37 PM
Why is BTC going down like it does the last days? Straight down.. Down around 10% (?)
From around 30K to around 27K.
Why don't you take advantage of the market going downtrend since you notice it will always go down in 10% instead of you worry yourself about the dump in price that will only strengthen the market?

Do you guys think it will turn the other way soon and go straight up again or will it keep going down?
I thinked this year would be a good BTC year and i still think it will be! But I did not see this coming to be honest.
It not yet the time for the market to start a total bullish market and until it total bullish season. The market will continue it roller-coaster movement.
384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do not exceed your targets on: April 21, 2023, 03:44:55 PM
I have learned something so important in the previous bull market that got to about $30k . When the price of bitcoin was $21k I bought some bitcoin and after getting this amount of bitcoin I had target if it gets to $30,000 I will take profit, luckily it got to the price I was targeting but I was reluctant to take profit like I planned thinking the market price will go beyond $30,000 to get more profits but unfortunately the price didn't continue to increase,  but I'm not worried about that because I know the price will definitely increase again and I will get my profit of target.
There's nothing like exceeding your target in that if truly you understand that the Bitcoin market price will rise again and the recent dump in price that happened was just strengthen the market's bullish momentum. Therefore, if you are planning to set a target now when the market is yet to reach a new ATH price you may make a worse mistake, and to prevent that from happening I will advise you to hold for at least a year.

386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Competitors: Who will lose Relevance? on: April 21, 2023, 03:12:40 PM
There's nothing like a competition between Ethereum and other altcoins.
First, Ethereum is like BTC in the altcoin market and it was the first to introduce the dApp concept into the cryptocurrency market before some dev imitate the ETH concept.
No matter how hard other dApp projects try they will always live in the shadow of ETH and if you guys notice you'll see that it like Vitalik purposely delay the ETH2.0 upgrade to give space for other dApps projects.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 21, 2023, 02:36:44 PM
Yes, banning decentralized cryptocurrency is a pure joke because there's no way it can be totally executed since it is something that's out of the government's control in the first place. What I see in all this ban is that the government only blocks the means of them growing their country's economy and it will be much better if they embrace crypto.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does It takes time for market to be bull on: April 21, 2023, 12:40:16 AM
I have been wondering why does it take so much time for bitcoin price to bull and whenever it try's coming up it takes just some few hours or days to drop drastically or changes in percentage.
It doesn't take much time for the Bitcoin market to start the bullish trend. What makes it look like the bullish trend is taking much time is that the time is yet to come and what we are seeing now is preparation for the bullish market.

Does this means bitcoin can not maintain bull sign for about 7 months or 1 year straight up without having to change and show bear signs?
The bullish usually last for a year or more since things have changed in the market lately and it always started a few days or weeks before the Bitcoin block halved
389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I invest 4k bitcoin on: April 20, 2023, 11:37:13 PM
Where can I invest 4k bitcoin
To make profit daily 100$

Any suggestions inside crypto or any other field
Bitcoin is not a pot of gold or quick to a rich scheme. I will advise you to ignore anyone that sends you a PM about any chance of making a $100 profit or more daily.
The best way to make a profit in this market is through long-term investment. I will suggest you get a hardware wallet at the official store, look for the best reputable cryptocurrency exchange for the geographical area (if privacy is not an issue you provide it so that the member of the forum will help with that), and invest mainly on BTC and move the coin to the hardware wallet.
390  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 19, 2023, 12:04:25 AM
It is as a results  of your savings that will make you wealthy I believe all wealthy men in this life had to make sacrifices by saving
Nah. You are wealthy as a result of your investment in reputable assets with good liquidity, particularly Bitcoin. The idea of saving to be wealthy was years ago when the government haven't printed an excess of fiat currency.

Our income are put into place that will yield so that there will be enough tomorrow.
Yes, income putting in place or investment that will yield is a nice one.

391  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fight against corruption on: April 18, 2023, 10:51:47 PM
You can only eliminate what you created, corruption is man made and we can all work together to eliminate it. It will take years to achieve it, we might not live to see it, but we have to build for the future. Corrupt people are now being celebrated today, corruption is now normal in our society today. Corrupt leaders present themselves for election and we keep voting for them. And we expect change from them,it's anormal to have corrupt leaders in power and still expect better life.
We must speak against corruption, from our home to school and in our work place, we should tell People they danger of it to the community. If we are United against the fight, would achieve it tomorrow, would have a free corruption society.
Like it or not. Corruption can not be eliminated, it can only be minimized cause it is everywhere even in this crypto space where we see some project owners abusing the benefit of blockchain and later running away with the investor's fund.
Glad you said corrupted people are now being celebrated and I believe this enough to know that corruption can be totally eradicated.

392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt coins in the next century on: April 17, 2023, 11:34:39 PM
Hello everyone, I made my first post here and the words of advice were really touching(maybe it's because I am weak-hearted) and encouraging. Thank you all for making me feel at home.

Now back to my question. My thoughts were that alternative(Alt) coins were created by organizations or developers to serve as a digital currency for their product or service, or improve on the shortcomings of their parent coin. I believed an alt coin with a real purpose was here to stay like Bitcoin.
An altcoin with a real purpose may be here to stay like Bitcoin but it can never be like Bitcoin and if you must invest in an altcoin even if it's an altcoin with a real purpose if the project team is not the project's number one enthusiast don't invest in it.

1. What will happen to alt coins when Bitcoin becomes a legal tender? Will they have a massive growth,or would people sell and jump into  Bitcoin?
There huge possibility for some altcoins to experience a massive pump in price if Bitcoin is legal tender but not all altcoin though.

2. What would happen to alt coins when Bitcoin becomes relatively stable( when it is fully mined and will solve its problem of price volatility)? Will alt coins survive the test of time? Will new alt coins be created later? What would become of the various countries'currencies, especially the Dollar (the global reserve currency) after Bitcoin's general acceptance?
Bitcoin doesn't rely upon any altcoin and it's the altcoin that relies on the trend of Bitcoin to determine there next momentum. Bitcoin will never be generally accepted and won't be legal tender either due to some government political practice and understanding. However, if BTC is fully mined some reputable altcoins will get more traffic.

3. If alt  coins survive in the next century what is the reason it would.
The altcoin that will survive will the next century will be altcoins that solve some drawbacks in crypto and also have vast utility with use case.

4. Should alt coins be traded rather than HODL?
Altcoin can be traded and hodl but be sure of the altcoin will be relevant in the market for at least in the next 4years of market

394  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Most important place on earth. Where? on: April 17, 2023, 11:03:05 PM
According to the guy in charge of the documentary, Amazon is the most significant location on the planet.  It is challenging to declare a specific location to be the most significant location on the planet because the response will vary depending on personal viewpoints and experiences. The most significant location will differ for different people; for some, it may be their house or place of worship; for others, it might be the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids of Egypt, etc.
The most significant location on earth may ultimately vary depending on the desires and experiences of each person.
395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many people are having bitcoin? on: April 17, 2023, 10:49:08 PM
The reason for this post is to know all the were about of the bitcoin in circulation. I read a story of a man threw away is hard drive with almost 7,500 bitcoin on it, then later realised that it worth huge amount of money which he is trying to get back the drive which he found difficult. Now my question is that does it mean all this 7,500 bitcoin are gone completely?
Yes, if there's no way for him to retrieve the wallet that contains the Bitcoin private information.

Can it be possible to know the people the are in position of all the bitcoin in circulation or know the number of units in total circulation?
There are some sites that focus on this information but it is impossible to know the actual number of people in possession of all the BTC in circulation because 4 wallets may belong to a single person. However, the information provided by this site says there are 106 million Bitcoin Owners while there are 200 million Bitcoin wallets.

398  Other / Meta / Re: why bitcointalk don't advertise anywhere. on: April 16, 2023, 10:01:03 PM
Bitcointalk is the oldest and the most important online forum dedicated to Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology. People who are genuine Bitcoin enthusiasts or crypto-related project owners who want to establish or advertise their projects will always come here. Therefore, there's no need for Bitcointalk to be advertised and there's no way anyone will want to learn the origin of Bitcoin and ignore some discussion made by Satoshi on this forum and other dev that work with him.
399  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Resource Control in Africa on: April 14, 2023, 09:41:59 PM
When you said Africa was never ready for modern politics. Can you tell me why they choose to go for independence when they are not ready? At least a kid that went to school has to graduate before proceeding to the next level. Let's agree they are not ready but they still choose to do some corrections by learning more about the modern politics from people that colonized them if they want something good for their people not just to steal country money.
I think you didn't understand what I said

This current modern politics is Western thing and there is no such thing as independence to the "former" colonies. They are still being colonized, though you are too blind to see. When a country tries to break off from the Western System, they are immediately tagged as enemies. Look at what happened to Libya.

El Salvador decided to be different from the rest and made Bitcoin their legal tender, and they received all kinds of threats from all corners including IMF.
Now I understand your point and I also believe most African country is still enslaved to Western culture that's why you see the Western influencing the African judgment on LGBT, etc.
With that being said, modern politics may be a Western thing but an innovative way of ruling the country democratically.
About Libya, they were colonized by Italy and I don't think Italy influence them in any way.

400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: April 14, 2023, 09:30:38 PM
Another mistake that I believe is misleading for newbie traders is not choosing a reputable and secure trading platform.
This is just a problem of their preference but I guess most of the newbies heard of Coinbase, Binance and other popular exchanges that has been talked in the mainstream so, for me this isn't really a problem.
Yes, I believe the newbies may already know or hear about Coinbase, Binance, and some other popular exchanges. However, Coinbase and Binance being popular and reputable don't make it a good exchange for some newbies. Do you know why? The newbie needs to understand the geographical rules, regulations, and restrictions of the exchange.
