381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help to mine old coin on: May 24, 2021, 12:36:32 PM
Coin is dead 6 years ago.

There is nothing left of this.  So you may get it running (unlikely) but there is nothing there.

382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: decredminers.com on: May 20, 2021, 12:30:16 PM
Looks iffy.  Note the logos they scroll along the bottom of the contact page.  Doesnt seem to be in place.  Several other things are red flags such as the business locations are just rented shared office space...not a place they are actually at.

So i am going to go out on a limb here and say its a scam.  To many little problems with text and offering.  Plus they offer cloud mining contracts so that right there is SCAM.

Buy from an Asic maker.  These people dont.

383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d "no available GPU for mining" on: May 20, 2021, 12:22:24 PM
Change software or get a newer gpu.

10 year old gpu and only 1gb vram according to techpowerup.

384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Turning old smartphones into miners ? on: May 18, 2021, 04:22:54 PM
Im using M2G Android Miner to mine Monero. But you need a lot of cellphones to achieve pc-like results.
Eg my S6 gets about 15 h/s, but my S9 gets 40+ h/s.

So it will take you 350 phones to equal one of my procs on xmr.
i have 37 of them on it so about 13,000 phones is what you will need.
This will earn you about $50 a day BEFORE power.

Good luck...i dont think you understand scale and scope of what you ask.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: itx or mini itx cpu/motherboard combo with "above 4g decoding"? on: May 18, 2021, 04:17:00 PM
Not Itx but small and has above 4g decode....handles 8 gpus....and totsl 15w TDP for motherboard.

https://shop.rebtech.ai/product/mother_board/

Cheers for that Smiley

It's exactly what I would love to get!  If it wasn't out of stock.

That is the new normal for mining gear Wink

Mine something else the 970 is done on Eth.

You can try lolminer but hoenstly 4gb cards are no longer worth it on eth.

388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking to build a rig with 13 1660s on: May 13, 2021, 04:12:44 AM
12 gpu probably but you are correct. 70 watt each and 31.5 mhs each. you need a sizeable ssd and a good amount of ram and it will work like a charme

Or he can slap an old pentium/celeron 4gb ram and stick 13 gpus on it in risers and a thumbdrive on it with any of the linux mining oses and be off and mining...wth is the sizeable ssd and ram for?

Board works fine ive got a dozen of them.  Board should be $79-99 normally...but prices today are insane.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: May 12, 2021, 09:28:28 PM
Hi. Can someone give a good guide to what I should compare the checksums(the first post no longer has checksums for 5.6c) I have been running PhoenixMiner_5.6c. But I no checksums I can find match my zip or my exe.
I got it from github several days ago. which seems down now. Yhis whole situation with nicehash and multiple compromised versions seems odd.

Check Post #1...has link to the repository. That is from PM himself.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [1080 | 1080TI] ETHlargement - The Hashrate Hardener on: May 10, 2021, 04:26:21 PM
I just received the ZOTAC 1080 Ti AMP.

Still mining on ETHOS Distro:
2000 core
5700 mem

makes = 37.9 MH/s @ 197W.

Still original BIOS. Should I try and flash a particular BIOS? Any ideas to get it to mid 40's?

Every Bios should be fine, but your card should be doing 46-47 with that settings.

Give it a try without the Pill and T-rex in Admin-Mode: --mt 4 --kernel 3
Try to get a core clock between 2012-2037 (all above 2055 will not be stable), below 2000 decrease the hashrate.
I have a mem clock of 5616 on all my cards, but all up to 5700 should be fine too. Don't go higher than that.

I run this in a p106-100 rig with pheonixminer.5.5c on ethos 1.3.3. I think the pill is already enabled by default because the command from their KB is not working (supposed to be only for 1.3.1).
bios: 86.02.39.00.73
Don't know if mt and kernel commands will work on this setting. I really don't want to update to hive and other miners because the rest is running well right now and I never got into hive os...

Htop should let you see whats running...look for OhGod on right column.  CTRL-C will exit the utility
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I mine etheruem with a 4gb graphics card on: May 08, 2021, 08:52:59 PM
technically yes but practically no.

whattomine.com will tell you what is most profitable for you to mine.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: T-Rex 0.20.3 NVIDIA GPU miner (Ethash, Octopus, Kawpow, MTP) on: May 08, 2021, 03:07:27 PM
Do you guys have some issue mining with trex miner?
I got so many rejected share on ethermine with this miner how can I solve this issue?

How about info like cards in rig...os....oc settings?
And we assume your are mining ETH but info is needed....there are a million options and you havent advised anything about what you are running and how.  So no we cant really help you without info.  Because it works great on all my rigs...
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is a fan hub necessary for 5 fans installed on a GPU mining rig? on: May 08, 2021, 03:03:15 PM
You can run them off the available spots...just chain them off one another.

Or you can slap a fan controller on it.  I just wire up the fans and let them run.  The difference in power is of little concern.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can i use antminer s9 to mine litecoins and other coins? on: May 08, 2021, 03:01:26 PM
"I have been doing my research and not sure what you were looking at"

YOU ARE WRONG.

that guy was trying to help you as you came here and he was very kind as he gifted you his time

And now I am loosing 2 minutes of my life to explain to you that:

LCC IS NOT LTC

LiteCoinCash is not LiTeCoin

You can mine LCC with Sha256 and you can mine LTC with Script

End of the time you deserve + 2Minutes
Anyone has latest information about this LitecoinCash? This project was so profitable in last bullrun of 2017, is development still active I left those guys a very long time ago when the coin was dumping hard

No real dev at all becuase its just a copy paste of the LTC.  Its rubbish.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What card causes stale shares ??? on: May 07, 2021, 09:38:41 PM
GPUs don't cause stale shares.

You are correct was thinking he meant rejected shares....
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Radeon 550 Sapphire Pulse on: May 07, 2021, 09:37:31 PM
Ive got a 550 / 4gb  its on ETC no longer viable on ETH.  Gets 12mhs on ETC.  Dag keeps growing but the 550 is one of the smaller gpus.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What card causes stale shares ??? on: May 07, 2021, 03:37:03 PM
Miner output on PM shows it per card as well..

Look at the actual output from the miner and will see

Eth speed: 187.894 MH/s, shares: 11657/2/17, time: 76:11
GPUs: 1: 31.332 MH/s (1921/17) 2: 31.334 MH/s (1862) 3: 31.332 MH/s (1982) 4: 31.332 MH/s (1954) 5: 31.333 MH/s (1990) 6: 31.232 MH/s (1950)

Not on GPU1 shows 31.332MH/s (1921/17)  this is 1921 accepted / 17 rejected.

miners like Teamredminer show per gpu accepted/rejected/hw error....

Just gotta look at the actual output screen of the miner software.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mine doge coin with cpu miner? on: May 06, 2021, 10:53:51 PM
I just remember that I have some dogecoin on EOBOT website but unfortunately the website is already closed, can't withdraw my EOBOT now that dogecoin is huge, LMAO 😂😂😂

The second bad news is I have some dogecoin In freewallet but can't login to the wallet again for unknown reasons, mehn I've learned the hardest way in crypto space, centralised wallets are red flags 🤣

Could be worse... coulda bought a pizza with a stack of bitcoin....
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need help with heat issues on: May 06, 2021, 01:19:42 PM
All this blowing out of heats doesn't make much sense to me than using a air conditioner, this will change heats to pure coldness unless you don't have free electricity, I think this is the best solution to heat than finding ventilations and fans blowing out heats

Know how we can tell you dont mine on any scale at all...yeah its the AC....

And there is no need to use AC...20 degrees  F is what an ac unit will cool from ambient air input vs output temp.  You can google that...

So instead of being 120 F inside you can be 100F (or 80F from 100F) So from 37c to 27c....

You gpus will operate just fine at 70c ... or 158F....

Fix your airflow problem and you wont need AC even when ambient is 110F+ (43c+)
