381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 19, 2024, 11:48:17 PM
Gambling should be seen as a pleasure, not a source of money, for beginners. As with any recreational activity, I urge my friends to budget. Managing expectations and knowing the game are key. Similar to how you wouldnt expect to win a reward every time you play a carnival game.

Regarding money-focused gamblers, I agree: be cautious. You want to win without losing yourself. Setting time and money constraints is crucial. Gambling should spice up life, not define it. Balance is key, and anyone can gamble responsibly with the correct mindset and measures.
Unfortunately, a large number of people see it as an escape, thinking that gambling can assist them financially, when in reality, that's extremely rare and in exceptional cases. The most common mistake is believing that it's a get-rich-quick scheme, while another more serious one is trying to recoup losses. The latter usually ends up going downhill and results in even greater losses; it's a vicious cycle that you don't want to be swallowed in.

As a newbie, setting boundaries, having a specific budget, and realizing that gambling is a hobby—something to entertain yourself for your pleasure—is a must before getting involved.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 19, 2024, 10:55:33 PM
When you are tenced this should even be a good reason for you to pause gambling, because playing gambling while you are in pressure is not advisable. The pressure in you tells that if the game ends in lose it will cause emotional damage for you. When we are playing gambling and their is pressure it means the game should be stopped.

I think gamblers needs to understand gambling and do things according to their body language and signs they recieve towards gambling.  It is better to consider the state of the mind , mental health first before thinking of playing gambling because if you are not strong mentally and one proceed in playing gambling I think it might end up so bad if eventually the game end up to be lose.
Gambling in emotional distress is something to be avoided. It's supposed to be an entertaining activity, not one to pressure you. We need to acknowledge when it's time to stop and when it's not the right moment to be gambling. It's extremely easy to lose control, especially if you're feeling emotionally unwell. In such cases, it's best to take a break, go for a walk, or do something fulfilling that will clear your mind, because gambling does not do that.

Taking a risk in such a state is rarely going to have a positive outcome. Thus, it's not worth taking the risk; it's best to take a break and try again sometime later.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 19, 2024, 07:46:29 PM
There's also a risk of getting addicted in gambling. It cannot be denied that desperate people who try to gamble hoping to change their current financial situation for the better tend to get addicted because they are not anymore gambling for fun, but for the sake of making money which is almost impossible to achieve from one who doesn't have the skills.

Poor people could be a victim of false assumption in gambling, they think making money is easy as "1-2-3", but once they experience the consequences, it will be hard for them to recover anymore, as they will have to learn the hard way.

So yeah, be on the safe side as prevention is always better.
Unfortunately, there are a large number of people who think that they can change their financial status through gambling, and it rarely depends on someone's skills, like you mentioned. The majority of gambling games are solely based on luck; if it's not at your side, then you're going to lose money.

People need to understand that there's no shortcut to making money; anyone who's trying to go for "fast money" is eventually going to get screwed. It doesn't necessarily have to be through gambling, as there are other ways too, such as investing in pump and dump projects, but you get my point.

I don't believe that there's money to be made through gambling; there are perhaps a few exceptions, but relying on it to make money is certainly wrong and risky. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you'll only lose, just don't expect to turn your life around, because it's very unlikely.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 19, 2024, 12:35:00 PM
Sorry to say, but I disagree with you here. Sure, you hear about the lucky few who wins big, but what about the thousnads of people who loses everything? For most people, gambling is a risky thing to do that often leads to more trouble, especially if you're counting on it to "save" you during tough times. It's more likely to make things worse for them, not better. You should never gamble if you can't afford to win! And talking about big wins in public? Not a great thing to do I would say. You might catch the attention of the wrong crowd, if you know what I mean. Anyway, gambling is just not worth the risk. Better to play it safe and find other ways to bounce back from hard times.
I agree with you. We only hear a couple of success stories, but behind those are thousands of gamblers who have lost large sums of money. Although I understand that a lottery ticket or a large win at the casino may change your life, the chances are extremely slim that you're way more likely to get struck by a lightning than win. Unfortunately, it's easier said than done. Gambling can easily be a dream crusher if it gets out of hand. Thus, claiming gambling to be a hope restorer isn't something wise.

If you're suffering financially and barely making ends meet, then you're not in a place to gamble. It's best to be on the safe side rather than have extraordinary expectations.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 19, 2024, 10:57:37 AM
As @Nrcewker already mentioned, it's not a personality disorder, but an addiction. Seeking advice on a forum isn't your best bet, although I believe that most members have good intentions. This is a matter that requires professional assistance. Some basic steps you can take yourself would be to withdraw any money from your casino accounts, or even resort to closing them and installing a parental control application to block anything related to gambling, spend time with your loved ones, and generally keep yourself occupied with something.

Don't try to fight it alone; you'll eventually roll down the hill. Take some precautionary steps, but ultimately, find a counselor or a therapist to assist you further.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: January 18, 2024, 01:57:28 PM
I think its still early since the trading just started. At what price did you able to sell off your tokens? Thats a pretty amazing profits considering you are staking the tokens.
I am still setting my launchpool tokens at $3 and hopefully it got sold at that. Im not sure what happened when the withdrawal from airdrop and paradigm got open the price would definitely sell of their free tokens.
Well, you did good. I sold at approximately $2.30, and it's now at almost $2.5. I could have waited a while; I would have made something extra. Nonetheless, it's basically free money. I don't have much BNB; thus, I mostly stake in FDUSD. You can achieve much greater returns if you have a large amount of BNB, as the majority of the farming is allocated through BNB. I'd consider buying more BNB, but its high price makes it a risk-free asset. I'll perhaps reconsider if it drops below $300 sometime in the future.

Don't you know? They trolled and insulted us

I won't listen to your words for now until o_e_l_e_o apologizes for his insults towards BSV
I didn't want to get involved in this paranoia in someone's thread who feels vulnerable due to a health issue, but I cannot stand and watch everyone dealing with your BS.

You're so petty and insignificant to be insulted by someone else's opinion on your coin. Whether or not his views were offensive towards your project is irrelevant; your behavior is outright wrong; you must be a disgusting human being, if you can even be called that, to enjoy this and write such hateful comments. You're trying too hard to persuade others into believing that you're right and everyone else is not, and you're also doing it in a pitiful and awful way. Even if your views over BSV and against BTC had some substantial truth, you're doing it in a hateful way, trying to perceive that everybody else who's not supporting you is below you.

Enjoying someone else's pain and suffering is enough evidence that you're a malicious person.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: January 18, 2024, 10:34:38 AM
Although I don't see a lot of interest regarding Binance's Launchpool projects, I'm going to turn this topic into the "Official" thread to discuss any announcements, newly listed projects, and general concerns regarding this matter. The Manta coin was listed on Binance a few minutes ago; unfortunately, I was at work and missed the boosted launch, but I still managed to yield a profit of $35 within two days, which is quite decent for such a short time period.

At exactly midnight, 19/01 00:00 (UTC), a new coin, AltLayer (ALT), will be introduced on the Launchpool and available for farming through BNB and FDUSD for 6 days. It will then be listed for trading one day after the farming ends, on January 25, 2024, at 10:00 (UTC).

This was extremely saddening to read. It hurts to see young people suffer from chronic diseases. I didn't know you, but we've interacted a few times on several discussions, and I often stumbled upon your posts around the forum. You're a great guy and a huge contributor to this forum and to other users you've helped. I wish you the best for you and your family.

You'll be missed; the forum won't be the same without you.

Ultegra134 this will count as your 14th day which means you are the first person to complete the challenge. Congratulations! You will receive your merit shortly.
Wow, the days passed so fast. Thank you for this learning opportunity! Throughout all these years I'm involved in cryptocurrencies, I had never installed Bitcoin Core, at least the recent years. I had probably installed it when I first learned about Bitcoin somewhere in 2014, but I highly doubt if I ever got it fully synced and running. I'll keep in synced and running whenever my computer is enabled. It has been a great experience, thank you once again for the opportunity!

Hello manager, from what I saw a person with the same rank as mine was accepted into another campaign, so I take the initiative to submit my candidacy to this campaign, if you place the position open, consider my application.
I think it's best to wait for the manager to announce a position before applying. A quick look at the previous two pages would be enough to see why I'm telling you this.

If you see any error in the progress report like your name isn't listed correctly, and so on, please let me know so I can fix it.
Not a big deal, but I've noticed a mistake on my behalf, today should be my 13th day, but I've posted the 10th day twice, instead of 10th and 11th, thus, missing one day. I can go ahead and edit the previous posts or I can simply run the node for an extra day. I'm fine either way, waiting for your instructions.

395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to generate a Bitcoin Statement of Transaction on: January 16, 2024, 01:37:25 PM
I wasn't aware of this feature until a few years ago, due to the signature campaign manager using Blockchair.com. It's not a bad guide and quite detailed, even though I'm not quite sure how this statement can be used in practice. Although it does provide you with a lot of information, each transaction has the exact amounts and transaction hashes, and it may be useful if you're looking for a specific transaction, but I can't imagine how it can actually be used; it's not a bank statement that has an actual purpose in case of a loan or credit card request.

Moreover, you have blurred the wallet address, but everything else, including transaction TXs and the QR code, is available in public view, which is kind of contradictory in terms of your privacy.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights on the potential future of Bitcoin and the importance of taking action as enthusiasts. Your perspective on the finite supply of Bitcoin, its potential value with mass adoption, and the need for personal involvement resonates with many in the community.

It's crucial to recognize that while the concept of mass adoption is exciting, it also poses challenges and opportunities. Your emphasis on being an active participant through hodling is a call to action for everyone who believes in the long-term potential of Bitcoin.

Your personal commitment to acquiring your first $10 worth of Bitcoin is a commendable step, and it's a reminder that one doesn't need to start with large amounts. Consistent small investments can add up over time, aligning with the principle of dollar-cost averaging.

Your encouragement for others to start their Bitcoin journey and not just be spectators is a powerful message. The importance of faith and action going hand-in-hand in the world of cryptocurrency cannot be overstated. May your journey as a hodler be prosperous, and may your message inspire others to take their first steps into the world of Bitcoin this year.

Congratulations on realizing your dream of opening your own bar! It's truly inspiring to see your perseverance and hard work pay off, especially after patiently waiting for the right opportunity. Your dad's support with the generous contribution of #2,000,000 is a fantastic boost, and it's wonderful that you've used it to set up your bar with a variety of drinks.

Using Bitcoin as a medium of payment for your business is a forward-thinking move, considering the increasing interest in cryptocurrency in your country. The picture you provided of the transaction from your dad, along with your BTC SegWit address and the settings of your bar, gives a clear insight into your journey.

I understand the concerns about high transaction fees and congestion in the mempool. It's a common challenge, but as the crypto space continues to evolve, we can hope for improvements in scalability solutions. In the meantime, offering both BTC and fiat payment options is a smart approach to cater to a broader customer base.

Wishing you tremendous success with your new venture in 2024! May your bar become a thriving hub for locals, and may you continue to grow and prosper in your business endeavors. If there's anything the community can do to support you or if you have updates to share, feel free to keep us posted. Cheers to a prosperous year ahead!

Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for sharing this valuable information with the community. It's great to see members contributing to each other's knowledge and helping everyone make the most of their Bitcoin experience.

I must say, generating a Bitcoin Transaction Statement is indeed a crucial skill that many might overlook. Your detailed step-by-step guide using "blockchair.com" is fantastic, especially for those who may be new to the concept or unaware of this feature. It's essential for everyone in the crypto space to be aware of how they can provide legitimate proof of their transactions if the need ever arises.

Your example of the Bitcoin Transaction Statement is clear and should be a helpful reference for anyone going through the process for the first time. I appreciate you taking the initiative to share this, as it adds another layer of transparency to our community and helps dispel any misconceptions that might exist about people earning through legitimate means in the digital space.

Looking forward to more insightful contributions from you in the coming year! If anyone has questions or needs clarification on the process, feel free to ask. Let's continue to support each other in navigating the world of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 12:44:21 PM
I also remember playing Crash on Bustabit and TrustDice, and I often observed what multiplier others withdrew and how much money they made or lost. I'm not sure about TrustDice, but on Bustabit you could also see the gross profit of other players, and trust me, some users had lost extravagant amounts of money on that game. Thus, although you may be focusing on the successful bets, it's important to know that behind those success stories, there are many more who have lost excessive amounts of money.

That was my reality check to stop checking how much others earned. It's still fascinating to see people earning large amounts of money within seconds, but I don't focus on it nor do I comment on it.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 16, 2024, 08:39:16 AM
It's not a bad suggestion, but I don't know how that would work out. I've seen a few casinos with an online chat, but it's often global, and there's a ton of messages with no logical flow or a topic of discussion. I personally wouldn't bother having small talk on an online gambling platform; I don't see much point, nor is there something specific, except the game in which you're both participating, to discuss. That could be just me, though, because I'm not participating in such live games, but perhaps it could be a nice addition, along with the feature of being able to add other people as friends and socialize.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Launchpool, a possible earning opportunity? on: January 15, 2024, 11:01:48 PM
A new project was announced this morning and is about to go live in Binance's Launchpool in the next hour. The Manta coin will be available for staking for only two days. 80% of the total allocated rewards will be through the BNB pool, and the other 20% will come from the FDUSD one.

According to Cryptocult, a Twitter account that has been focusing on Launchpool projects, Manta is likely to be worth $1.5 to $2.5 per coin, while an optimistic approach would be anywhere from $3 to $5.

Well, the two-day staking period won't yield much coins unless you have a large amount of BNB, so for the majority of us who don't, this Launchpool doesn't seem like a big deal.
