I can't get my "eights" to work, i have tried everything!!! I suppose thats what you guys are speaking of??  What was the whole batch not working?  Geeezzz.....

you have to send them for repairs because they have issues with some element on them is all i know
382  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs (Temp NA), 8 Boards (0 left) on: December 09, 2013, 02:33:25 PM
As i already expected nothing has been arrived and no answers from barntech where my order is.
There is no trackable info found anywhere with the given code.
I see other people in europe got their items a few days ago, the usa people are already hashing.... here nothing and diff going up soon again

Where are you Bronan?
I think that in Australia Barntech held off board shipping until the fix is applied.

Cheers

I am in the netherlands and barntech said it has been send
However i can not find any packages with the given track code or have received anything as of yet
But i see people who live near me already asnwered the repair board on the drillbit forum who live near me
I am not sure if they received anythin but i sure as hell did not.

Barntech has not answered on my email for more then 2 weeks but has posted on the forum ...
So yes i am worried
Especially since i spend a small fortune on this which probably never gonna repay what i put into this

All usa people seem to hashing fine and making coins but i have nothing but worries

I feel being screwed here pretty hard

Especially since i paid 95 usa dollar for express postage which should be able to be tracked

I have no clue what is the status of us EU people, no shipping info or tracking info

You seriously believe a person out of the blue can make a better miner using less power and running faster then knc made and expect it also the be cheaper....
Really did you not see the casing is a photo shopped designer lamp which was showed a few years back.
Each and every sentence written there looked to me complete nonsense and extreme unlikely
What bugs me the most is that so many now very rich companies still are forcing us to use prepay and try avoid payback solutions by only letting you pay in btc
YOU as a customer allways loose if it turns out to be a failure.... you do not have any protection.
If you ask a charge back they pay you in dollars what they posted it was if btc went up to 2000 you still get the same value, but you never get back paid in btc.
If they truly was devoted into bitcoint hey would pay you back in the coin of your choice
But believe me thats not going to happen

387  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs (Temp NA), 8 Boards (0 left) on: November 27, 2013, 02:12:05 PM
Well for me its still going to be challenge.

I think before the boards arrive here another diff jump has appeared, because that will happen around 30/11

I  estimated 760 M but so far it looks like its going to be a little less

So it will all depend on how much i need to pay to customs when it arrives.

Depending on how much that will be i can make a roi calculation.

And need to know how fast they can run without too much errors.

I was thinking the same and will look at the hashrate on the pool
As for the advise on the psu ... some here talk a lot of bs.
I bought a  1200 watt - one rail psu and guess what it turns of the asic boards power
After this fiasco i took my old trusted 1200 watt 6 rail antec and poof running like a charm Cheesy
power drain according to bertmod internal 676 watt  on the wall i have 832 watt with 0.98.1 showing 696 Gh/s
If i put on the 0.99 firmware it drops to around 650 Gh/s

So 0.99 is much slower
389  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous reloadable EUR VISA cards with own bank account on: November 19, 2013, 06:14:53 PM
After some time i decided to get this handy prepaid card.

I ordered and waited but somehow i did not receive anything so i contacted Bernhard75, he instant traced the card had gone missing somewhere in the postage process.

Contacted Bernhard75 on the forum and waited a few days longer to see if it would not arrive anyway, but it did not.

So short contacted Bernhard again and a few days later, poof prompt delivery of a card.

So in one word perfect service

Thanks again for the prompt and perfect service provided

PS : Believe me Bernhard75 lives at this forum 24/7  Wink

Well lol i have to start whining now barntech for spotwoods sake Wink

Send him a complete design for the double scroll build

He might be able to build a nice case with the design.

So he can let me know if i can get it or have enough left on my poor empty bank account.

Poor little me paying rent on all the money spend on the miners Cheesy

One thing is fpor certain this is the most expenssive hobby on the planet
391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Serious BTC question. on: November 17, 2013, 01:58:26 AM
The only important point for me is that if bitcoin gets a value of say 10.000 dollar do we still have to pay the ridiculous high fees for transactions ....
If i get payed now say 0.001 btc or i have to pay that amount i have to pay the same amount on fee .... how you would see that in the future if bitcoin really would pass the 1 million each.
At this point its already annoying while the value is just hovering around $400.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 15, 2013, 03:29:59 PM
why the hell choose any brand for a psu, any good psu will do
i personally buy anything with good stats corsair, ocz, antec you just need to check how the psu is build and how much they actually can deliver on the lanes they have
I have my small antec quattro here which delivers 6 rails with each capable of feeding 30 amp max and 170 max on the 3.3=5 volts rail.
This psu has one major drawback however because it has no power on/off switch.
But in general this monster has no had no problem feeding my 4 gpu system at all.

It got a robot psu switch and i am very happy with that solution

My question is what is going to happen with the upgrade modules are they now also on hold
And what does this it mean for the delivery of the upgrade modules effectively
As i read that it seems the building of the november orders miners seem to go first and as i understood it the upgrade modules are being send when the orders are finished on the miners.
Would that mean another month of waiting or ?

I have posted alot of questions towards knc but the time it takes to get an answer is insane long, i think the communication towards the community has to pick up some pace.
Its easy for them to prevent many emails and phone calls if they communicate onto the forums.
but as of yet on non of the actual communcations i see any of the knc people actually post at all besides the initial posts from sam cole.

Its so simple to add some information when you are going to sell a product, so people do not NEED to ask whats included
I do not wanna see a post from some forum member and to be honest alot of them are on my ignore list.

I want to see relevant information which make us clear what is going on.
Everytime they post something instant many questions pop up which should not be needed if the info was more clear towards us customers.

Again this is not a rant but a real concern, knc would have less a problem with people calling and sending emails if the info was not all the time in crypto language.

I took almost 3 weeks to get an answer from knc and what was said as a answer was not even an answer at all on my questions

Well its another small set back but i think Barntech and the others have been informing us much better then any other in most cases.
So respect to all involved including bobsag3 for buying of a unhappy customer.
Allthough i hate not having it hashing here allready, will wait till it can hopefully soon.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 13, 2013, 04:10:25 PM
Actually its 100 Gh for $950 that has proven todo in general 140 Gh average

395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I went down to the bitcoin ATM today... on: November 12, 2013, 06:16:48 AM
Well this story is not fiction but fact, the problem is that some are actually harmless but every time people with not enough knowledge get scared shetless when a huge message is displayed pay up to this and that btc address or else
I actually have helped one person getting the fake bitlocker of his computer and that family was very happy, and most important had to pay nothing to me either.
That does not mean these are all copy cats trying to get rich easy, i also have had a victim of the real virus.
And that ended not in a happy ending because his antivirus product had tried to remove the virus which made it lockup forever.
So do make backup copies and use different data devices to store your precious files.
I use myself 4 different types of backup media including online storage and offline storage devices.
Most of the online storage solutions do scan for virusses themself as well.
I like to add that most people with pc knowledge think they are safe with whatever os / antivirus products, but fast is we are not really that safe.
Most brute force password crackers can do millions of password is short time and have massive datafiles containing endless passwords ever used.
And thats only with simple systems containing only 2 to 4 amd videocards, there are much bigger and fast pasword crackers out there capable of doing much more.
History shows not even banks, nasa, fbi , governements police and more important security providers in every branch get hacked fairly easy by these criminals.
So do you think your simple linux of windows securty password is safe ... guess again if you say yes

I found out that when I exceeded 125 sticks cpu use went nuts and the 125th stick read endless errors.   not sure if the pc or bitminter software is the issue.  windows 7 has a 127  usb device  limit for 1 controller.  this pc has a 5 port pcie usb card with a second controller  so I should be able to go to 240 sticks or even 250.  So when I got past the 127 device limit the cpu went nuts and the last stick added com284 just read endless errors.  in the photo below it is at  6000 and change and counting up really fast

This is a controller limit not a port limit as i understood it, the max is system wide 127 however this number is theoretical.
In reality each usb device connected takes one device slot, so in my view you loose 2 devices for the controller leaving you with 125 devices to connect.
I did not check if the hubs are seen as shared devices

I am not sure if the professional hardware solutions which you can buy can run more but those are very expenssive and contain very good components, but if they are just loaders or can run devices like needed for mining is not clear to me.
400  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs 0.5 BTC (58 left), 8 Boards 1.6 BTC (16 left) on: November 07, 2013, 02:34:54 AM
well i agree fully on your statement erk.

I have to deal with 0.32 so for me its not pretty to run all full speed constant.
When i mined with my gpu's i went for low power usage (underclocking and undervoltage) which made it suddenly profitable for me
Thats also why i now only would buy any hardware if its capable of running in different power usage modes
So i can choose what gives me the best result, ie turbo, fast , normal and power saving would be the best for anyone and would give them a long timespan of being capable to produce coins even if the difficulty kills the profit by a small margin
