381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: Fake VPN Website Pushes CryptBot and Vidar Info-Stealing Trojans on: December 12, 2019, 05:27:40 PM
This is why you must not just install any old thing you find. VPN software is serious business and you need a trusted VPN. Why bother to use unknown companies when there are so many good ones around.
The worst is when people want a free VPN.

I don't trust any VPN nowadays I can make my own Dedicated socks5 free or paid from namecheap. Digital ocean or you can also use amazon aws to make your own socks5 proxy. No could monitor you since you own them except for shared hosting.

And what about OpenVPN clients? From where  I sit... the only thing they need to run is config file that you can check yourself so it seems  they  can provide volumetric security, right?

What he describes is exactly what a VPN does anyway. Minus all the features. Yes it is safe with just the config file that is why I use openVPN client.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fleas are going down! on: December 11, 2019, 05:22:32 PM
How the hell did you get fleas and fees mixed? I can understand saying fea and not fee or vice versa but there is an "l" there my dear man. Is this so difficult to check before hitting post? Can you not edit it now? I guess not...

Bitcoin fees have been usually for the past few months and I have been paying between $0.32-$0.50 which I think is fair and the transactions were very quick. What are you unhappy about? How much would you like to pay? How fast would you like it to be and how fast has it been for you lately that you feel the need to complain? I don't think transaction fees are a big thing to worry about. The bank charges the same amount but the bank has monthly costs too. My bank is $12 a month and then $0.20 $0.50 for each transaction. This is $12 more than bitcoin. I get nothing for my $12.
383  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Crypto Exchanges Should Lower Their Fees and Profit Margins on: December 11, 2019, 05:16:39 PM
Honestly, for me trading fees are not too much of a problem if they are justified by good and fast service. I do not like paying more than $5 for withdrawing in fact I would prefer to pay only $1-$2 to withdraw bitcoins so that is a factor for me. My choice of where to exchange is between the coins they offer and the withdraw fee basically. Next I look at the fees and if they justified and the first two points are met then I will use the exchange. Obviously only after reading about other users experiences using it and doing a few tests withdraws and deposits. Then I will return and be loyal to that exchange since I feel there is no need to change to another one of everything works well and the fees are fair.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most complicated thing about Bitcoin? on: December 11, 2019, 05:12:11 PM
The most complicated thing when your enter in crypto world is to understand about security and how to keep your wallet really safe
It's commom to leave the coins in exchanges thinking they are safe, or to enter on a phishing website, or even to send BTC to another adress with some malwares

People also need to get used to taking note of what they do and where things are. THey need to back up their private keys and remember what address belongs to which. Often people leave coins behind in an old address and if they lost access to this they will lose their coins. Understanding these things takes some time getting used to as most people are not used to being fully responsible for their own assets.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey: At What Price would you stop investing more money into Bitcoin ??? on: December 10, 2019, 11:34:58 PM
I said 1k but I think I will always put more money into bitcoin since it is a better way to pay and I enjoy it. It would just go up again. It won't keep going down down down if people use it so this is unrealistic.
Otherwise, I will always turn my fiat into bitcoin and then buy with bitcoins.

Put everything you have?
Man if the price really goes to $0.01 it means the whales are exiting the race. It does meant that the price will be dirt cheap but it will also create a panic in the market.
The chances for it to grow up again would really be slim since people will lose faith in bitcoin.
I would consider investing few hundreds of dollars in bitcoin but not everything I have. I may have invested a few thousands if I earned that much though.

EXACTLY MY POINT:    The only value Bicoin has is what some greater fool will pay you for it.   Once this market psychology changes, you will see the price of bitcoin collapse, and it will have ZERO value beyond a novelty.   If someone else will not buy your bitcoin, it is USELESS  🎈🎈🎈🎈

Hard Facts

So why are you here? You must be the biggest fool of them all. You talking shit too, please stop.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypt is now legal in Ukraine on: December 10, 2019, 11:30:37 PM
This is great news. The more this kind of thing happening the better for adoption. Counting it as property good.

That is a very good and extraordinary step taken by the Ukrainian government in adopting every existing regulation well, so at least crypto is not only an asset for investment, because the strong reason in legalizing crypto in Ukraine is a major mission there which where the Ukrainian government wants to fight systemic corruption. So with the adherence of every rule that applies then maybe it will become a model for all countries to have a broader view of digital technology and the blockchain itself.

Other governments must learn from this. I wonder which ones will create their own cryptocurrency first? It will be really exciting when countries develope their own cryptocurrencies. I wonder if you will get extra incentive to mine it? If they want to fight corruption maybe they should use bitcoin since it can be traced so officials can't waste money.
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Experience of A Bitcoin User on: December 08, 2019, 05:56:05 PM
This is a very old scam. I lost a few dollars to it when I didn't know about it and used a wallet I downloaded form the android google store. So do not just use just any old wallet. The wallet I used has this built into to OCR camera QR captcha so it would replace when I scanned for something else. Very nasty and easy to fall for and even forget. Always use official wallets that are trusted and always 100% make sure and even check 3x or more the receiving address. Than just before you hit send a check again. I have a lock on my send that asks me for a pin. This gives me time to slow down and think about the transaction. Always have some form of confirmation in place to slow the proccess down and give you more time to think. Always double-check everything. Do not forget to double-check the bitcoin value sent.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to be thankful than hate him on: December 08, 2019, 05:50:17 PM
My personal opinion is that who made bitcoin is not really important. Awesome that he/she or they made the currency but knowing who they are is not going to change your life. This is like searching for the golden chalice. You might look forever but never ever find it.

I wonder who hates Satoshi here in the forum.  Huh
Who are "them"?
In terms of price, I never hated nor blamed Satoshi because it wasn't him that manipulated the price anyway.
In terms of utilization, sending of money was never harder already for me. It was the most useful instrument/currency I can use once someone from afar needs my money. I don't need to go into so much trouble getting into payment centers just to send money while incurring taxes, service fee and even transportation expenses.

I can't see how someone can hate Satoshi. Unless they the bank or an uptight controlling government. Satoshi would not need to manipulate anything. Their money value is unlimited. Surely the stashed thousands of coins away on several wallets. They living it up right now sipping martini on the beach someplace nice.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of bitcoins :) on: December 08, 2019, 05:12:20 PM
Who says about traditional money? You can already only use traditional money so what are you trying to say? I have never heard of anything like not being able to work when you study. Many people do this. Including myself. I really have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe some studies you don't have the time but you can still work if you like it's just not recommended since you spend so much on your studies and if you fail you will really have to work hard to make up for it.

Will this bitcoin move towards the SKY because i wants to purchase some bitcoins.  Grin

THen you would want bitcoin to sink not soar. Buy low sell high remember.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties on: December 02, 2019, 11:04:21 PM
As for me, it isn't the best time for bounties these days because new coins aren't as profitable as what we have before. If you are willing to take all the risks then look for a promising bounty. If you want a better profit, you can look for other ways to earn since there are different opportunities being offered here. The best time for bounties is when the market situation gets better.
If there will be no bounty that can pay thru BTC or weekly, I prefer not to join as we need to spent our time wisely since there are many freelancing job now that can pay us as long as we do the task properly since bounties that are based in ICO or IEO or no product yet have low chance of surviving at these bear market.

This is why you mustn't waste your time on bounties that have a project with no product. They have no value without something viable. A token does nothing if you own it. You can only sell it for its "perceived value" on an exchange but owning it does nothing in itself. It doesn't even give you ownage over that projects company since there is no company. Yet people often flock to these things because of hype and end up losing so much when that could be used for perfectly worthwhile projects. It discouraged good projects and encourages bad ones.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitTorrent (BTT) coin! on: December 02, 2019, 10:52:43 PM
I have tried to use BTT many times to earn coins seeding but I cannot. How do you do it? I don't have a single coin. I have used many torrents to seed with but I don't know. Do you need to use really popular torrents?
Which should I be using and how many coins can you make in a day with a 5mb upload speed?

I honestly think MediaCoin is much better. Go and have a look, all you do is download an app and start using it and you seed files you have and you will get paid for sure I have tested it. The media coin itself is listed on the exchange as well. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5179834.20

I also failed. Nevertheless, even investing in BTT now does not attract me anymore. Look at the token return on investment (the so-called ROI). In the first half of November, it is approximately -14%. I think this is the best proof that the cryptocurrency has not yet managed to show that it can be profitable and reliable.

It never failed. Did you even use the app? It is very active. It has many members and I have already earned tokens. Sometimes token earning is slow so you need to try share what is popular and add your own stuff for author rewards royalties. I haven't earned a think with BTT. Crypto is profitable and reliable you just need to know where to invest.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: your biggest income, from this year's Bounty campaign? on: December 01, 2019, 08:04:38 PM
how many prizes did you get from this year's bounty project? knowing many fraudulent projects in 2018-2019, I personally only get $ 500 from 2 projects like SESSIA and Colletrix, and that is also a social media campaign.
on the one hand there are some tokens that are worthless, not yet listed on the exchange and there are some tokens that haven't been sent to my wallet.

how about your story?
Good thing for you. Meanwhile, I get something like $400 for a single project. If I'm not mistaken, the project was named as CoinAnalyst. I wait for it for more or less a year before I received my payout. I'm still hoping for more project from 2018 to give a payout for their bounty participants as I joined a lot of project at that year that makes me expect that at least 10% of them will give payout that has a market value.

This is the problem. You shouldn't have to wait that long. Ridiculous actually. I made over $1000 trading and buying bounty participants work with tokpie. An actual project with an actually coin and not a shitcoin like you see many people talking about. The project will be around a very long time. Idiot bounty hunters dumped their tokens into my lap and the price shot up. Bounty hunters cannot tell the difference between roses or shit smear.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties on: December 01, 2019, 08:00:45 PM
Any one of you who knows what bounty campaign is a must join?
if you want to find a bounty campaign in Altcoin then I recommend that you for to join Crypcore is now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193409.0 besides this bounty is managed by a very professional campaign manager that's is @iwantapony. you can join now because this project is still running for less than 5 months again. this is only advice and no compulsion.

Why should we support that project? What makes them so special? They have a website big deal and they promise they are working on an exchange yet there is nothing to show? I don't think this is a good bounty.
I think this is a terrible project. It takes much more than a good manager and some mumble jumbo to create a good project.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Doge.Live Scam on: December 01, 2019, 07:48:39 PM
their location is dubious. i wonder who would trust and use this site when they put this on their location details

Quote
Dogecoin, Scrypt-Base, Blockchain
source: doge.live

love your hard-earned money guys. don't be stupid and fall for something like this.
In crypto currency anonymity is one of the important thing so people will use something even if they don't have any real identity but when they are scammers they can be identified very sooner after their scam attacks.

So, until this domain is live, he will be a potential scam. Any scam report can't be useless if they have 1% to save someone's money.
Agreed,if we have chance to save someone by saying that they are scammers don't forget to do that.

A scammer will scam you even if you know them. They don't care. It is sick. This is the same tried and old scam that has been going for years. I really hope no one falls for this. I can't understand why people do. The scammer just makes the site and waits for suckers and trust me they are suckers. Only a sucker falls for these promises of riches. None if makes sense and you can't even see what you are "investing" in but some people do not seem to care and they still "invest" they lose their money and call crypto a scam.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crowdholding - Bounty 2.0 or just the same as the rest? on: December 01, 2019, 07:42:46 PM
People have to think on that network to earn, It is less mindless bounty hunter spam. I think it is better. YOu will find a much higher quality of work. Unlike here which is mass over quality? I enjoy answering the questions there and it is fun. The getting paid part is simply an extra bonus. There many good projects you find there though so it is a great place to look I really wish more hunters took it more seriously and found their bounties to support there rather than where they usually do.
396  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: New Faucet Site on: December 01, 2019, 07:21:00 PM
Wow, some people. YOu not going to get a virus clicking on a link. This has never ever happened to me and I click everything. That's not how viruses work. People who say faucets are a waste of time.... Well.... Honestly, if you can't see the use of a faucet you are truly a bit stupid. People that say these things are really doing nothing themselves and have very little going for them. I bet they couldn't even create a website even a simple one.
Learning is never a waste of time. Also if just money is what you care about then you can make money with faucets but people do not seem to understand you need referrals. Someone from a third world country that makes $4 a day can make $1 or more a day with referrals on faucets. This is amazing for them.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be Gift of Santa Claus in this Christmas for Bitcoin Hodlers? on: November 30, 2019, 09:42:59 PM
Now, I think the last 1 year is not good for the BTC hodlers. So, I just ask Gift of Santa Claus this Christmas for Bitcoin Hodlers?
Wait, what? Seriously, are you a kid?
We don't need Santa Claus, what we need right now is whales that can pump the price for good even just for this quarter.

I think he actually meant it as whales by saying about Santa Claus. Grin

And @OP, please don't expect that a magic wand will be quaked in the name of Jesus and then you'll see BTC around a million or even a billion if that is your only wish, but don't forget to ask for BTC too so to hold some at the time you see it. /jk  Kiss

I think the gift we could get will be the worst one as we will only have BTC get down to under 7k and that will happen during Christmas only and then we will have our bottom after which we will start a fresh bull run.

Be like Santa! Hodl bitcoin today! All the good boys and girls that hodl bitcoin get 30% extra presents this year. I hope you give the gift of bitcoin to your loved ones instead of socks are something  Grin
If we got people spending bitcoin this Christmas that would be good and it would be ideal if they were newcomers. Give the gift of bitcoin this chrismas. All bitcoin dumpers get coal this year.

Otherwise, people will sell bitcoin to buy a meaningless present or the people the give they bitcoins to will just sell for fiat anyway. That would be a sad Christmas though.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China implements new strict controls on Cryptocurrency on: November 30, 2019, 08:05:28 PM
China has taken the right step looking at the future! The Chinese government is aware of the risks related to cryptos and decentralization! They are aware that serious financial frauds can be organized using cryptos and hence they want to roll out strict regulations to prevent such misconducts from happening! That makes sense!

However, don't link the current downfall with this announcement! Such news may have affected botcoin's price to a certain extent but not entirely! There are other things that might have played their part as well! Don't forget about upcoming black friday and Christmas!

They want to control their people. They know blockchain technology is here to stay but they want to keep the value to their own country and that is why they want their own currency so the money stays with the government.
I am not sure what illegal activities they are talking about but if mining bitcoin is one of them and you supporting that well... Why are you here then? Do you know exactly what steps China will take because I don't?
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New EU law: Banks allowed to hold and sell Bitcoin as of 2020 on: November 30, 2019, 07:56:14 PM
I don't understand. Why would a bank want anything to do with crypto? They make more with fiat. We all know crypto is against banks and viceversa. Crypto is freedom and decentralization and banks are you being controlled and centralized. They are natural enemies so why would a bank hold crypto for any reason? I can understand if the bank secretly holds crypto if they believe in it but don't want that present that message as what they are about. A bank can't make crypto since you hold it in your wallet so why would you need a bank? I am sorry if maybe I missed an answer to this in a comment here but I am not quite understanding this.

why would someone store their coins in a bank?

I think it's the only way many will be tempted and reassured. Huge swathes of the population are not prepared to pay enough attention to secure their funds correctly or don't feel confident enough. They want their hand held. It's a long way from ideal but I can get why they feel that way.

That makes sense. But then the bank will most like make its own coin and not use an existing one. One where the transactions can be reversed by them. Hopefully, it is a decentralized bank owned by believers in crypto and not the usual you find in the banking system trying to get people into debt and offering you loans when you can't even afford to buy anything extra beyond the basics.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A rising number of Americans own crypto and nearly 13 million women says study.. on: November 30, 2019, 07:38:47 PM
There is a thread about why there seems to be a lack of women in the crypto world but it seems there are quite a few we just do not know about it. Maybe they are quiet about it and hodl. Maybe they know something we don't  Grin I am pleased that there are so many women. Anyone is welcome and the more the better.

What do you think?

I am very proud of Americans even though previously the government in their country officially banned the use of bitcoin or other cryptocurrency to invest but that did not make them stop adopting bitcoin, even now more cryptocurrency users in America than last year I hope President Donald Trump to lift the ban cryptocurrency.

WTF shit are you talking here? You proud america is placing tighter and tighter restrictions under the guise of protecting us when really they want tax money and a piece of the actualy. You don't know wtf you talking about and bitcoin is not banned in USA. Stop smoking through your sweat socks there buddy.
