381  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-13] Last Year’s Record-Breaking Bitcoin Price Was Actually A Fraud on: June 19, 2018, 05:10:15 AM
I just did not understand what is fraud using the Tether token. This token is actually the digital equivalent of the dollar and it is really convenient for them to use on exchanges and exchangers as an intermediate step when converting to fiat. But what does fraud have to do with it? How did the demand for bitcoin increase with the tether USDT token?

I guess you did not click or open the link I have provided therein for everyone to read more about the controversies, that says 'Tether is used to provide price support and manipulate cryptocurrency prices'. John M. Griffin and Amin Shams, both from the University of Texas conducted the research published a paper (via Business Insider) that makes a remarkable claim, according to this report, http://bgr.com/2018/06/13/bitcoin-price-today-vs-ethereum-vs-ripple-vs-eos-manipulation/
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to move on, and ignore the BTC !!! on: June 18, 2018, 09:58:51 AM

For me it's clear, from the moment BTC went to the Dow it slide down and be played by the big boys.
More and more we see up's and down's controlled by some big players between 6000 and 7500.
Alt coins are following that vibe, and some step out the line but be pushed in the direction the big players want.
I ask myself who is behind it, are governments behind it that not like the BTC and want it pushed down to get people frustrated.
So frustrated that many of us, get sick and tired of the up line pushed down already few time around 7400.
Ofcourse we are human, and after some push down's, we want to be strong and not give up.
But we also not want to be that person that miss the boot, where the rest break and sell the BTC.
It's almost 12 o clock when this price will go up around 7400 again, and drops down again i see a huge drop coming.
And the faith in going up higher, will be lost more and more. And that is what they want.

So what are you going to do ?   Am I wrong ?      It's massive indoctrination dunn by huge selling dumps.

We have 2 options Guys, let them play with us and let them win.

Or show them that BTC is much stronger then some Jealous scary Government, they need to be stopped.

We can only win this battle if you leave your finger off the Sell button.

Succes gr Bas  sorry for shitty English

I'm holding bitcoins and I'm losing big at what's happening now. But I will not sell my remaining Bitcoins... I will still hold and fight to the end and if it becomes ZERO I'll just say to myself, that's life. Sometimes you have to take a risk so as to earn experience how bitter it may become.
383  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Own casino in your country? on: June 17, 2018, 04:00:19 PM
Hi,
I'm from Poland and in my country it's illegall. Could you tell me how it looks in your countries? What's with taxes?

A casino is a gaming industry, and its houses and accommodates lots of gambling activities. So, maybe your government and/or the citizens of your country don't like gambling. On the other hand, I know the use of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are allowed by your government and is not regulated by a legal act at present.

"Szymon Woźniak of the Ministry of Finance made an official announcement on the legality of bitcoin on 18 December 2013 at a conference at the Warsaw School of Economics stating that the Ministry of Finance does not consider bitcoin illegal and does not want to hinder its development.[131] He clarified that while not illegal, bitcoin cannot be considered legal tender, and, in the light of the directives of the European Union, it is neither electronic money." https://www.pb.pl/minfin-bitcoin-nie-jest-nielegalny-740041
384  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin tax question on: June 17, 2018, 02:11:01 PM
you talking tax, while the legality of bitcoin is still questionable. I think it's still too early to talk about tax issues.

I think you should do more research. Currently, there are around 70 countries worldwide where bitcoin is welcomed and its use is legal, and also being taxed by some countries along with other cryptocurrencies. In the United States alone, Bitcoin is legal in all of its states and territories. However, although it can be used like money the government or IRS does not consider it to be money or legal tender, instead, they treat bitcoin (and altcoins) just like gold as property for tax purposes.

386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invest only in ICOs on: June 16, 2018, 05:50:54 AM
Hi guys , I am a begginner in the crypto world , after a long study of the market , rules and regulations research. I am ready to start inversting . First stop that catched my interest is orbis https://orbistransfer.com . Because it has paypal and card purchase . No kyc and country restrictions so I can buy it from US. $500 dollars allocated .
Any other promising icos ? What do you recomend.

Update. btt link for who wants to review my first choice : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3844192.0

Try JinBi. Sounds really promising and the ICO is about to start in a few days. A lot of people are joining the rage on JinBi and I think you should too. Try to invest a small amount first because ICOs usually have expensive starts and I think investing in JinBi would be really interesting.

Yes, I think is an excellent project and has a lot of potentials to succeed, and at the moment I'm considering investing in it. I just hope it's good and successful like ETHLend, the first ICO project I joined wherein I earned a lot.
387  Economy / Lending / Re: Lending Smart Contract extension to ETHlend concept on: June 16, 2018, 05:34:34 AM
ETHLend is an excellent project. I could say it's an example of a very, very successful project. I'm one of the early participants in this project and it's the best I ever joined here in this forum so far, and at the moment I think no ICO project can surpass it in terms of rewards, be it investors, and/or bounty participants.

388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will get legitimacy in all countries? on: June 15, 2018, 05:54:54 PM
Many countries think that Bitcoin is harmful for their country. They think that Bitcoin will create inflation in their country. But is that right? Will Bitcoin never get all the legitimacy?

Currently, there are around 70 countries and territories worldwide where Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies) usage is legal. To name the few they are; South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Canada, Nigeria, Morocco, United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, and more... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins price is falling. on: June 15, 2018, 02:53:18 PM
At the moment as I writing this the price of Bitcoin is $6,541.70, so I think Bitcoin price recovery is in place and let's think positive it will continue the right track in the days ahead.
390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Going Less Than $5000? on: June 15, 2018, 02:19:22 PM
Don't be discouraged, Bitcoin is still in recovery mode. As of this writing, the price of Bitcoin is at $6,551.77 although it has made a minimal 1.20 percent recovery at the moment, let's hope it pumps more until it reaches $7000 mark by tomorrow.

392  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-13] New Research Blamed Tether for Bitcoin Price Manipulation in 2017 on: June 15, 2018, 02:57:52 AM
John McAfee, the Crypto Crusader, who has always fought for all crypto enthusiasts, was opposing this theory from the researchers via Twitter and had this to say to his faithful followers:

"The mainstream media - controlled by the existing power structure - price manipulation reports are involved in the bitcoin price increase last year. The manipulation has taken place, but it's a conspiracy to push the price of Bitcoin to not How much less you see today. Wise up! "
393  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-13] Last Year’s Record-Breaking Bitcoin Price Was Actually A Fraud on: June 14, 2018, 04:47:54 PM
So, what you're saying it's not possible for Bitcoin to repeat what it did last year? If not, then is there a chance that it could hit the $8000 in the next 30 days?
394  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-06-13] Last Year’s Record-Breaking Bitcoin Price Was Actually A Fraud on: June 14, 2018, 03:22:43 PM
The bears are firmly in control of the cryptocurrency market, as Bitcoin and all the other coins have been on a free fall since Sunday. All tokens have been losing value consistently since late May, and there’s no telling when the bleeding will stop.

More disturbing, a new study now claims that Bitcoin’s incredible bull run last year was the result of manipulation via the use of a different token called Tether, which has seen its own share of controversies since its emergence.

For those of you not familiar with Tether, it’s a token meant to help traders buy and sell cryptos for US dollars across exchanges and increase the speed of transfers. Rather than worry about fiat transfers, you can convert your money into Tether, and then do whatever you want with them in the crypto world. Every single Tether should always be valued at $1, and each Tether should be backed up by a real dollar. That sounds great on paper, and it’s supposed to provide security to Tether users.

That’s because Tether should not be affected by bull or bear runs that routinely affect the crypto market. In fact, Sunday’s bloodbath did not affect the digital currency. So that’s all great news, yes?

395  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-06-14] Bitcoin Prices Stabilize Above $6K – But Will They Stay? on: June 14, 2018, 01:26:41 PM
Bitcoin (BTC) has made a 6 percent recovery from the 90-day low hit on Wednesday, neutralizing the immediate bearish outlook.

The leading cryptocurrency fell to $6,108 at around 16:30 UTC yesterday on Bitfinex – its lowest level since February 6 – bolstering the already oversold conditions shown by the daily relative strength index (RSI) yesterday.

Hence, the subsequent recovery to $6,500 levels currently is hardly surprising and indicates that bitcoin may have found a temporary bottom around $6,100. However, long-run technical setup remains bearish and the battered bulls will want to see a stronger evidence of bear exhaustion before hitting the market with fresh bids.

Consequently, the market could remain directionless over the next 48 hours and bargain hunters may chip in later if the cryptocurrency looks stable around $6,500.

397  Bitcoin / Press / [2018-06-14]Bitcoin rebounds after recent bout of heavy selling on: June 14, 2018, 09:24:22 AM
Bitcoin staged a rebound at midday on Thursday, rising to a high of US$6,495 after falling sharply in recent days.

At midday, it was up US$233 to US$6,495.

Earlier Bloomberg reported that Bitcoin extended losses, bringing its four-session slide to as much as 20 percent, as questions mount about whether the world’s biggest cryptocurrency was manipulated during last year’s record price surge.

After rallying more than 1,400 percent in 2017 amid an investor frenzy for digital assets, Bitcoin is down almost 70 percent to around $6,238 as of 4:37 p.m. in New York on Wednesday, from its record high of $19,511 set in December. It traded at a few cents after being launched in 2009.

“Things have changed for Bitcoin and the crypto space,” said Craig Erlam, senior market analyst at online trading firm Oanda Corp. in London.

“There doesn’t seem to be as much hype, or positive news. Every time we get a negative news story now -- after a period of consolidation -- we don’t see bullish sentiment come in to support it. It’s almost as if people are waiting to sell it.’'

398  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [13-06-2018] China Controls Over 50% Of Bitcoin Claims Garlinghouse Ripple CEO on: June 14, 2018, 09:09:17 AM
This article seems to be part of a campaign of FUD orchestrated by Ripple. Over the last week, there have been a flurry of negative articles quoting Ripple executives.

You're right. Maybe, they're manufacturing face news. And I don't believe the majority of what Garlinghouse have said it's 100 percent speculations as it's not supported by any document or proof. Like when he states, “I’ll tell you another story that is underreported, but worth paying attention to. Bitcoin is really controlled by China. There are four miners in China that control over 50% of Bitcoin” he said referring to the enormous power controlled by mining pools like Antpool.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin down, altcoin rise. why? on: June 13, 2018, 04:19:24 PM
I do not understand what happened to some altcoins, I know that when correction, red altcoin dominates the crypto market.

but when the bitcoin correction, there is still altcoin that has increased and rises significantly.

what factors make altcoin rise when bitcoin falls?
share your knowledge with me!

i think that is not true. Bitcoin now has falling in the market, not only bitcoin but many altcoins too.
usually after the falling market, they will be bounced back to correct the falling price later.
Yeah that's what happens in the market today. almost all cryptocurrencies have fallen in price. bitcoin is very influential on the crypto market. if the bitcoin price falls. of course all altcoin will experience the same thing as now. but sometimes it happens when bitcoin prices decrease. and the price of an altcoin rises. but that is rare

Yes, that's true. As I am typing this, Bitcoin is down at -4.53% and almost all of the top 100 cryptos have fallen, except #30 Bytom which is up at 0.64% and #93 Emercoin
up at 0.86%. I think one of the reasons that can be attributed to this downfall is the negative news we've been seeing these past few days, such as this one, Don't count on a bitcoin rebound from the weekend rout any time soon, chart analysts say. Accordingly, this media outlet is known for reporting negatively on Bitcoin.

Yes, I've read it. That is why I keep on watching the market as I still holding bitcoins in my wallet. And as of this writing bitcoin price is $6,784.42 hoping it passes $7000 mark in the next 24 hours so I could convert some into fiat.
